The Image Of The Heavenly

Today don't power in the world. He said he's talking to scribes and Pharisee and he said the kingdom of God's inside you He just asked when you get to heaven. He just said he didn't say anything about that He just said the kingdom of God's inside you you just don't know it yet You and I have the ability to understand the kingdom and to enter into the kingdom of God But we don't understand that because we're so focused on what external of what we're gonna go to heaven. Let's go to heaven Let's get out of here. Let's get out of here. Let's go to heaven going to heaven He didn't save you to take you to heaven So that you could enter into the kingdom and operating the power and authority and the wisdom and and the abundance that everything that God Has for you on the earth Welcome to power in the word most of Christian believers speak to the need and the desire to go to heaven However, little is said about eternity and the kingdom of God. So today. Dr Norris shows us in the Word of God that Jesus spoke much about eternity in the kingdom of God Jesus said we should seek them both. So you stay with us and you'll truly be encouraged we're gonna talk about the spiritual side of the image of the heavenly because I really believe it and Understand that I think we have a few things mixed up and I think we need to enlighten beings to have some enlightenment on those things I think we have heaven a place we want to go and kingdom of God and In eternal life, and I think we've thrown them all into a pile and they're all one and the Bible doesn't teach that And so I want you to understand that heavens not a place We're trying to get to heaven's a place that we become and the eternal life It's what's going to take us to the next levels in life And that's the only thing that God's promised us because once we have eternal life Then we can operate the kingdom by the power and authority and the abundance that God gives us to operate that kingdom and we're off in Kingdom in a heavenly dimension on the earth. So I don't want you to there's so many people that are frustrated and they're confused about Heaven and the kingdom and eternal life You need to get heaven off your mind Okay you need to get eternal life on your mind because the eternal life's where you go operate in the miracles the power of the authority and You know just because you are a child of God doesn't mean everything's just gonna fall into your lap Okay, if you don't have any revelation of it, you're never gonna walk in it

So I want us to I want us to start somewhere a little bit unusual Not only got a John chapter 1 verse 1 and the Bible said in the beginning Look at somebody say in the beginning now We know that in the book of Genesis 1 and 1 is in the beginning too But the translation of a text there says in a beginning in other words, there was more than one beginning Okay So in a beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God and we've all read the scripture Let's go to verse 2 He was in the beginning with God. Who's the he? Let's go to verse 3 All things were made through him who's him and without him who's him? Nothing was made that was made now I want you to take and go to 1st John a John chapter 1 verse 1 in the amplified and in the beginning for all time was the word or Christ and The word was with God and the word was God himself In other words in the beginning before all time was a word and that word was Christ Now you need to listen to me very carefully because Christ did not become Christ until after the resurrection Right, but I'm going to show you today that God called Adam the Son of God I'm gonna give you a scripture to prove it. I'm not gonna make up anything Prove it and so something that I touched on the other night just a few Wednesday nights ago that we're operating through the Son of God and Jesus operated on the earth as the Son of Man and God has been just blowing this thing open for me to see it a little bit greater that I know I was right and You say well, what are you trying to get across to us? I'm trying to get across to you that in the beginning in a beginning before all time was the word which was Christ and The word was with God and the word was God himself So we understand that before the foundation of the world before anything took place Christ was already on the scene Why because he was operating in the Son of God which was in the first Adam? Because he's called the Son of God in the first Adam now go me to John chapter 1 verse 10 and 11 And he came to his own in his own did not receive him So we know that this man came to his own in his own didn't receive him

But you got to understand they saw this young man grow up as a boy, and he walked around Mary was his mama Joseph was his daddy, and so they saw him like everybody else And so he come to his own in his own didn't even know who he was I? Think what's happening in the body of Christ today is the Holy Spirit is coming in the church And they have no idea what it is and because we've never seen it and understood it We walk around and we just mediocre in our revelation and not walking in the supernatural in the power and authority that operates The eternal life because the eternal life is not about you going to heaven The young man come to Jesus and said what must I do to have eternal life? He said you must sell everything you've got, give it to the poor and come and follow me. He never told anybody how to get to heaven. But what's happening in the body of Christ is we've been deceived into be looking for heaven instead of putting our eyes on eternal life right here. And so we think we've got to cease to exist to get into eternal life and you were stepping into eternal life before you ever got here. You with me? So let's go to verse 12 now. I want you to see this. But as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become children of God. To those who what? Now in receiving, because of your believing, you become a child of God. In receiving, because of what you believe, you become a child of God, right? Now in a Jewish custom, we're not called sons until we get to 30 years old. So 30 years old, a child becomes a son. He takes over all the things that his father done. In other words, the business was transferred to the son at 30 years old. Isn't it amazing that Jesus at 30 years old stepped into his ministry? Why? Because he become a son, right? Now let's go on here. People confuse eternal with heaven and with kingdom. Receive Jesus to have eternal life, not so you'll go to heaven. Now think about it a minute. You didn't receive eternal life so you'd go to heaven. That's nowhere in the scripture. He said, if you believe in me, you'll have everlasting life.

He didn't say you'll go to heaven. He didn't say you'll spend eternity in heaven. He said, if you believe in me, you'll have eternal life, right? And so what's happened in the concept of the church is we've grabbed the idea that I'm just going to get to heaven. Man, I wish I could just get out of here. I got so many problems. I just want to get out of here. But that's not what Jesus teaches. He said, come and follow me and I'll give you eternal life. He was not talking about disciples coming and following him and doing what he was doing. What he was talking about, come and follow me to death, bearer of the resurrection and the ascension, and then you'll have eternal life, right? So Jesus functioned on this earth as the son of man. Because Romans 1 and 4 said he's declared the son of God by the resurrection. So he was not the son of God until after the resurrection. But Adam was the son of God in the beginning. I'm going to prove that to you. I'm going to show you that in the scripture. Now, let's go to John chapter 1, verse 12 and 13 in the New King James. But as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become what? To those that received and believed. What happened? In your receiving, because of your believing, you become a child of God. To those who believe in what? They believe in his name. Now let's go to verse 13. Who were born, not of the blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but were born of what? They were born of God the moment that you believed in the name. Right? Now stay with me because I want you to see this. Let's go to the Amplified. Let's read the Amplified Classic in 1 and 13.

Who owe their birth. Now there's plural, not singular, right? Who owe their birth, neither to the blood, nor to the will of the flesh, that of the physical impulse, nor to the will of man, that of a natural father, but to God, they are what? How many of you know you're born of God? Look at somebody and say, I'm born of God. Now we're going to understand John and Nicodemus. Let's go to John 3, verse 1. There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. Verse 2. This man came to Jesus by night, and he said to him, he didn't come by the day, he didn't ask him no questions in the day because it was a shame to go up to him in the daytime. Because Jews won't come to be coming up asking him no questions in the middle of the day. So he said, Rabbi, which means teacher, we know that you're a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do unless God is with him. So we know you're from God, we don't understand you, but we know you are God, but tell us a little bit about what's going on. Look at verse 3. Jesus answered and said, surely I say to you, that's a powerful thing. You need to go in the New Testament, look under I say to you. He said some things to you. Unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. I say to you that unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Now, the word see there is the word understand. Now, he said if you're not born again, you cannot understand the kingdom of God. But he didn't say if you're born again that you're going to understand the kingdom of God. He said what I've done is I've give you the capacity

to understand the kingdom of God. But just because you're born again, don't mean you're gonna understand the kingdom of God. Because if you understand the kingdom of God, you're not gonna be looking for heaven. Now look at what he says here, verse 4. Nicodemus said to him, how can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time in his mother's womb and be born? Verse 5. Jesus answered, Moses, surely I say to you, unless one is born of the water and of the spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. Now, he didn't say just because you're born. born of the spirit and born of the flesh means you enter into the kingdom of God. Oh Lord help us Jesus. Because kingdom of God has nothing to do with going to heaven. He said just because you're born again doesn't mean you understand the kingdom of God and it doesn't mean you even enter the kingdom of God. He said only the Spirit is going to reveal that to you. If you're not born of water and of the Holy Spirit, he cannot enter. But he didn't say just because you did, you entered. But then he turns around and he looks at the Pharisees and the scribes. Watch this now. He looks at the Pharisees and scribes in Luke chapter 17 verse 21 and he said, lo there, lo here, for the kingdom of God's within you. They weren't even born again. But the kingdom of God was already inside them. Is that what he said? He said he's talking to scribes and Pharisees and he said the kingdom of God's inside you.

He didn't say that's when you get to heaven. He didn't say anything about that. He just said the kingdom of God's inside you. You just don't know it yet. See, you and I have the ability to understand the kingdom and to enter into the kingdom of God. But we don't understand that because we're so focused on what external of what we're going to go to heaven. Let's go to heaven. Let's get out of here. Let's get out of here. Let's go to heaven. Everybody's talking about going to heaven. He didn't save you to take you to heaven so that you could enter into the kingdom and operate in the power and authority and the wisdom and the abundance that everything that God has for you on the earth. Let's go to verse 6. That which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the spirit is spirit. Look at verse 7. Do not marvel that I say to you, you must be born again. Now, let's read that text in John chapter 3 verse 7 in the Amplified Classic. Marvel not, do not be surprised, astonished at my telling you, you must all be born again, born anew from above. He said you got to be born from above. In other words, Matthew 6 and 10. Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. And so we've taken that and we've run with it and said, you know what? I just want to get to heaven, man.

He said nothing about that. He said step into this eternal life and you'll understand how the kingdom functions. You'll understand how the kingdom of God works. You'll walk into your power. You'll walk into your authority. You'll walk into your dominion. You have all kinds of power and authority in the kingdom. Why in the world are you thinking about heaven so much? Heaven is not your reward, the kingdom is, eternal life is. Guys, come on. It's not about going to heaven. It's about eternal life. It's on the inside of us. We've stepped into a dimension that most church people have no idea about. That's what the kingdom is and it's inside of me and you. So heaven and the kingdom and eternal life is not the same thing. Now, stay with me. Let's stay with me. Let's go to Colossians chapter 3 verse 1, 2 in the Amplified Classic. If then you have been raised with Christ to a new life, thus sharing his resurrection with the dead, aim at and seek at and seek the rich eternal treasures that are above where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. And set your mind and keep them set on that which is above the higher things, not on the things that are on this earth. Guys, what is he telling us here? He said, you've been raised with Christ. Now, set your mind on heavenly things even though you're on earth. Don't set them on the things that you're able to see right here. That's what I gave you eternal life for. He's opened up to the dimensions of the spirit realm so you can walk in a deeper

level of wisdom and understanding. Walking the power and authority and the miracles and the wonders and signs and all these things will follow eternal life. They don't need them when you get to heaven. That's how we understand that we set our minds on heavenly things even though we're earthly. That's why Jesus said in John 3, verse 13, no one's ascended to heaven but the son of man which is in heaven. He was standing on earth telling my men to have the man. Not heaven as a place I'm going to rest and have a glorious little refreshing and a book flowing and grandma and all of them is going to be there. That's, listen, we're way, way, way past that. We're a spiritual dominion that is operating on this physical earth in a capacity that very few understand. Heaven is not a place I'm trying to get to. Eternal life is a plane I've become. And now the limit, listen to me, the earth wants to limit your spiritual capacity. It doesn't say that I'll see the kingdom or that I'll enter the kingdom. Kingdom means authority, power, and ruling. When you are born again from above, you can understand and see and enter the kingdom. Guys, why have we been sold a bag of goods? And I apologize for my part of it. How have we been sold a pack of goods about getting to heaven? Man, I just want to get to heaven. I just want to get to heaven. I just want to get to heaven. What for? Jesus was not trying to just get to heaven. Now, don't you see something? I'm going to go deep on you.

I'm going to go deep on you. Go deep on you. Go to Matthew 6 and 10. Your kingdom come, your will be done where? As what's going on in heaven. He never said anywhere, your kingdom in heaven now comes to what? Earth. He never said one time, let me take you to heaven. We've misconstrued some things in the Scripture and we're so interested in going to heaven that we've missed the fullness of the power and authority of the ruling ship on the earth. See, here's all God's trying to do. He's trying to get you to understand that you're a son. He's trying to reveal to you sonship. Not servanthood. Sonship. Go into Matthew 3 and 2. This is what John said and saying repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Now only Matthew uses the kingdom of heaven. Everybody else uses the kingdom of God. But look at Matthew 4 and 17. From the time Jesus began to preach and to say repent for the kingdom of heaven is where? At hand. Now I want you to go to Matthew 12 and 24. I want to show you something very powerful here. When they asked Jesus about demons and Beelzebub and all these things. Now when the Pharisees heard it, they said this fella does not cast out demons except by Beelzebub. How many of you know what Beelzebub is? That's the ruler of the demons. That was the ruler's name of the demons back in the day in Israel. But it also means the lord of flies. He's exactly right. The ruler of the demons. But look at 25. And Jesus knew their thoughts and he said to them, every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation. Every city or house divided against itself will not stand. He said if you're saying I'm casting out demons because I am a demon, then you're dividing the self and it's not a revelation. Look at verse 26. If Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself.

How then would his kingdom stand? Look at 27. And if I cast out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges. If I cast out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your sons cast them out? This is powerful. Then who do your sons cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges. And look at 28. But if I cast out demons by the spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you. If I cast them out by the spirit of God, then surely the kingdom of God has come upon you. Now I want you to understand something. God gave you eternal life so that you could operate in the spirit realm on this earth. And the spirit and all the gifts and all the fruit will flow through your life because of the spirit. See, the thing that Jesus had in John chapter 3 verse 34, the Bible said Jesus had the spirit without measure. You and I have the spirit today without measure. There's no limitations on the spirit inside of us. The revelation operates the ministry and the spirit. The spirit operates in your life based upon the revelation of which you walk in. And when you're looking for heaven, why would God take time to get you to do anything on earth if you're so busy trying to get out of here? The church is desiring to just get out of here. If I can just get out of here, if I can just... Lord, just come back, Jesus said, get me. Why is he going to come back and get me? I'm with him. And where am I going to go when he gets me? Guys, come on. We've made God real little. We've made him real little and we've put him in a box and we want to keep him there, make him function with our religious mindsets. And he's coming out of the box.

Look at somebody say he's coming out of the box now. Because you can't keep him in the box. Now, listen to me very carefully. Born again is the first step to seeing and entering the kingdom. Most Christians only see heaven, they don't see the kingdom. The kingdom must be on earth. Everybody's consumed with, if I can just get to heaven, man. If I can just get to heaven, if I... You know, Jesus didn't save you just to keep you out of hell. He's transforming you were born from above so that you can operate in an above level on a natural realm in the earth. And so what he's done is he opened up eternal life for you to walk into the spirit realm to be able to understand the things of the spirit. And then he took his Holy Spirit and put it inside of you and said the Holy Spirit's going to teach you all things and bring all your things that I brought to remember you, that you remember in me. In other words, the Holy Spirit's going to teach you all things and bring all things you'll remember that I've said unto you. What is he saying? He put his spirit inside of us which is, operates through the kingdom of God. You operate the spirit by the kingdom of God and the kingdom of God, low here, low there, is inside of us, Luke 17, 21. So the kingdom now functions through us. Eternal life is we have it immediately. Eternal means there's no beginning or no end. Jesus said, I'm the Alpha and the Omega, right? Christ never said, I'm the Alpha and the Omega. Oh, I messed you up now, ain't I? But now Christ was in the very beginning. So if he was in the very...

beginning he cries before the foundation were in john chapter one verse one in the beginning was the word the word was christ then we understand the cross was there before the foundation were that's what the scripture goes on to say that uses a lot slain before the foundation world bob does on the side your name was written in last but a lot more the foundation were bob does all the state that he called you and chose you for danger predestined you before the foundation were the bible goes on the site that he chose you as a beloved before the foundation work and set you up in heavenly places in christ jesus a million now think about it a minute you gotta understand something now go to genesis chapter one verse twenty six and twenty nine and god said let us plural man father son the holy spirit make mankind in our image now i want you to get this here i'm fixing to measure some theologies that make mankind in our image after our own likeness our likeness after our likeness if you notice something he put the he made mankind in his our image look at the big o in our and they look at the big o in likeness and let him have complete authority over the fish in the sea of the birds of the air to tame the beast and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth now twenty seven and god created a man in his own image in the image in likeness of god he created him male and female he created them

and he put adam and eve both in adam in the beginning but let's go to twenty eight and god blessed them and said to them be fruitful multiply and fill the earth and subdue it using all the vast resources in the service of god and man and have dominion over the fish of the sea over the birds of the air over every living thing every living creature that moves upon the earth twenty nine and god said see i have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of the earth the land and every tree with seed in its fruit and you shall have them for he said i've given you authority over everything that flies give you authority over everything on the earth i've given you authority over everything and then i'll give you a seedling seed to for everything you need you got a seed for it oh my lord i ain't going to preach that one because that'll be too heavy for you tonight but he gave you a seedling seed in the beginning to produce everything you're ever going to need so he put everything in the garden and made everything perfect then he put man in there so that man couldn't say he made something and then adam gets in there and messes things up so dominion is power and authority to rule on earth how many of you know that now i want to show you something we're at adam right now so god's created a man in his own image and likeness in the image of god and then the bible says that adam is the son of god now go to luke luke chapter three verse thirty eight which was the son of enos

which was the son of seth which was the son of adam which was the son how many of you know he called adam the son of god i just read it to you right here did he not call him the son of god now the bible said that he couldn't become the son of god until after the resurrection there's no comma there nothing son of adam which was the son of god so adam was the son of god right amen now i'm fixing to go somewhere with you i want you to listen to me very carefully because you gotta stay with me or you're not going to get this so we see that adam was created in the image and likeness of god so adam comes from the dust of the earth he took dust and he breathed into it and he came to live in the spirit that is not how jesus came jesus was born through the seed of a woman by the power of the holy spirit so wait a minute now listen to me very carefully so in the beginning god created man created him in his own image and when he created adam he created him from the dust of the earth he breathed the breath of life and he became a living speaking spirit correct that's not how he created jesus stay with me let's go to romans eight eighteen but what of that for i consider the suffering of this present time this present life are not worthy to be compared with the glory which is about to be revealed to us and in us and for us and conferred on us woo lord jesus that ought to excite some of you ah man that makes me want to run

verse nineteen but even the whole creation all nature waits expectantly and longs earnestly for god's sons to be made known waiting for the revealing and disclosing of their sonship see he doesn't say they're waiting for heaven to come no they're waiting for the sons of god for sonship to be revealed now look at nine twenty lord jesus for the creation nature was subjected to fertility and condemned to frustration not because of some intentional fault on his part but by the will of him who has subjected it yet with the hope now look at verse twenty one i want you to see this this is powerful that nature creation itself will be set free from its bondage to decay and corruption and gain an interest into the glorious freedom of god's children he said you're going to take back over the earth and the earth and creation is going to be blessed when you sons of god take it and take their authority he said that creation is sitting waiting for the sons of god of God to become sons of God! Not so when not, creations don't get excited for you going to heaven! Look at 22, look at 22. We know that the whole creation of irrational creatures has been mourning together in pains of labor until now. Creation is waiting for sonship, not heaven. Sonship, I looked up sonship in the actual Greek and in the Latin. You know what it means? It means God's image. Now, go meet Romans 8 and 29 in the Amplified Classic.

For those whom he foreknew, of whom he was aware and loved beforehand, he also destined from the beginning foreordaining them to be molded into the image of his... Now what does image mean? Sonship! So before the foundation of the world, he ordained them to be molded into the image of his son and share inwardly his likeness that we might become the firstborn among many brothers. Come on, somebody! We're in his image and likeness. Adam was not. We're absolutely perfect because we're sons of God. It's about sonship. It's not about going to heaven. We're supposed to be controlling the earth instead of the earth controlling us. Lord Jesus! Let's go to 2 Corinthians 3, verse 18. But we all, with an unveiled face beholding all that is in the mirror, the glory of the Lord are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory just as by the Spirit of the Lord. We're going from what? Glory to what? The same image! Same image! Same image! You say, well, they don't say Christ. Well, I'm fixing to make it say Christ. Let's go to Galatians 4, verse 19. My little children, for whom I labor in birth again until Christ is formed in you. Hallelujah! Now go to Acts 2 and 36. This is even better. Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ. What did he say? We're being changed from image to image by what? The Lord! The glory of the Lord! Guys, it isn't about going to heaven and getting out of here and catching a bus. It's about walking in the dimension of the heavenly right here on the earth. And us in the image of Him.

Father, in the name of Jesus, I just thank you tonight. I thank you for your goodness and your mercy and your grace and your compassion on our lives. I thank you for this Word that is a powerful source in our lives. And I thank you for revelation and knowledge. And Lord, I ask you to enlighten us with more revelation. To know what's on the inside of us that Paul prayed in Ephesians 1 and Ephesians 3. And that we know the love of Christ that passes all understanding. In Jesus' name I pray and everybody say it.
