The God of Second Chances

In the last week of Jesus’ life before His crucifixion, He was betrayed by one friend and denied by another. The one who betrayed Him was Judas; the one who denied Him was Peter. The story of Judas ended with condemnation; the story of Peter ended with restoration. Two of His closest friends failed Him, but only one recovered—Peter. Truth is, we have ALL failed Jesus because ALL have SINNED. But we can learn from the life of Peter and how he joined remorse with repentance and experienced restoration. God is the God of second chances, not just for Peter, but for all of us like him!
