today on power in the word for Christ the Messiah himself died for sins once for all the righteous for the unrighteous the just for the unjust the innocent for the guilty that he might bring us to God in his human body he was put to death but he was made alive in the spirit turn to somebody and say this I was guilty but now I'm innocent I was unjust but now I'm just I was unrighteous but now I'm righteous welcome to power in the word how hard is it for believers to declare that they're righteous or in right standing with God well today dr. Norris shows us in the Word of God that we're clean and righteous not because we've done anything but because of Jesus Christ you stay with us you'll be encouraged and we're gonna talk about the foundation of right so a pastor I know everything about righteousness I'm not really sure we understand what righteousness means even though it means right standing to God it means we can stand before the Father and in the devil without any condemnation guilty if you already but what does it really mean to be righteous now it righteous doesn't come and go it's a state of being so if I'm righteous I'm righteous all the time I don't ever lose righteousness but I want you to understand something this morning why do you believe you ever fall away from righteous go to Colossians chapter 2 verse 8 in the King James Version we're gonna see some things here this morning that I think is going to help you and if you understand what God's doing God's doing a wonderful thing in the earth he's done it he's finished it it's over Katie Barta doors it's done guys and all we got to do is receive that have we received it so I'm gonna ask you right now where you say it how righteous are you and I don't believe the body of Christ understands rises because we've put God up here we put us down here but if we read the scripture that's not what he says we some kind of some so go to Colossians chapter 2 verse 8 in the King James and we're gonna start there be wareless to any men spool you through philosophy or vain conceit after the of men after the rudiments of the world and not after Christ now I want you to stay with me just a minute there's three things he says here after traditions of me and what's he talking about there he's to my Judaism after the rudiments

of the world what's he talking about there he's talking about the law so if you're listening to traditions of a church if you're listening to Judaism if you're listening to the old religion and the traditions of what the church is said or you're listening to the law then you're not after Christ now think about that a minute you're not after Christ you're not after Christ how many of us are any different than Christ on the earth you could not have died resurrected and be seated in heavenly places and not be like Christ right so you're just like as righteous as God is it's the state of being it's not becoming you're not becoming more righteous you're absolutely perfect in right since day one you have not become any more righteous after you said Lord I accept you than you did before only in your mind he saw you absolutely perfect in righteousness even before you said I'm righteous it took your voice to determine your righteousness to the obedience of God's Word God spoke at him this week he said son it takes your word to accept what I've done now go to Colossians 2 and 8 in the amplified classic see to it that no one carries you off as small or makes you yourself captive by so-called philosophy and intellectualism and vain deceit idle fancies and plain nonsense following human tradition men's ideas of the material rather than the spiritual world just crude notions following the rudimentary and the element elemental teachings of the universe and disregarding the teachings of Christ the Messiah how many times have we been carried away well grandma said well the pastor said or the traditions of the word of the world have made the Word of God no effect guys you can't bring your religion into what I'm preaching you can't bring your concepts in your ideas of what you what somebody told you along the way we brought a lot of misconceptions into the body of Christ and saw us as barely getting by just struggling to make it lost today found tomorrow that's not a lost and found situation you were found by him and you've been delivered from you so you can't be like you were because you're a new creature and you've been delivered from the old rudiments and old ideas and the old concepts that you and I are the righteousness of God completely turn to

us and the righteousness of God completely they're the only thing the enemy wants to do is He wants to steal your identity. Your ideas and your thoughts that you've heard in the past that maybe are embedded in your mind. Now, I want to ask you a question. How many of you, when you miss the mark, as you call it, the first thing you want to do is run and get it right? What you got to get right? Seriously, stay with me now. I want to change the way you're thinking here, guys. What you got to get right? The old religion that says you got to confess it and you got to get it right because in the back of your mind, if you don't get it right, then you might not be right with God because it's based on you and not God. He's totally based on you, and you getting it right, and you clearing it up, and you getting it corrected. And me having that heart of repentance, and me having that heart of sorrow, and me being sad for what I've done wrong, and we're not sad for what we've done wrong. Jesus became wrong, so you'd become right, so you can't do anything wrong because He made you right. So it's not based on your performance. If it is, then you're back in the law, and you're back in the traditions of man, and you're back into, I got to get it right. If your confession would have got it right, you wouldn't have needed the Messiah to resurrect. Stay with me. Because God wants to open up your ideas to the point that you understand who you are completely. Who you are completely. Turn to somebody and say, I'm completely upright. Go to Genesis 3 and 5, and you'll see where it all started. For God, now this is Lucifer talking to the woman. For God doeth know that in the day, in the day, in the day. Now why does he say that, in the day?

Why didn't he say the moment you eat it, you're going to get messed up? But he said, in the day, in the day. You eat thereof, then your eyes will be opened, and you shall be as gods, knowing good from evil. Now Lucifer told this woman, he said, look, in the day that you eat of it, in the day, in the day that you eat of it, then your eyes will be opened, and you'll be as gods. Now why did he tell her that? She was already as gods. But watch this. Go with me to Matthew chapter 3, verse 17. Heaven had been closed up. You know the story from Malachi to Matthew. Over 400 years, the heavens had been closed, according to Scripture, according to Josephus. And lo, a voice from heaven sang, this is my beloved. This is my beloved son, in whom I'm well pleased. Now if you'll notice something here, he said, this is my beloved son, in whom I'm well pleased. Now the word beloved is the actual same identical word as David. What he was really saying is, this is my beloved son, whom I'm well pleased with. Now watch this. In Ephesians 1 and 6, he said, he's made us accepted in the beloved. So you've been accepted because of the beloved. And then he turns to him, and he says, this is my beloved son, in whom I'm well pleased. Are you with me? This is my beloved son, in whom I'm well pleased. And all of a sudden, he's baptized, he comes up out of the water, and the heavens open up, and we hear a voice, and this voice says what? This is my beloved son, in whom I'm well pleased. Now who was he talking to? Everybody. Because everybody was in Christ before the foundation of the world.

You got to understand what he's saying here. And so then, I want you to go with me to chapter 4 of Matthew. And he's being tempted by the enemy. And all of a sudden, when he's being tempted by the enemy, look what he said. And when the tempter came to him, he said, if thou be, he didn't say, if thou be thy beloved. He said, if thou be the son of God, they command these stones to be made bread. Now, wait a minute. According to Romans 1, verse 4, the declaration that he was the son of God was the resurrection. He hadn't resurrected yet, so why is he calling him the son of God? Because he heard what Jesus said when he was baptized. And what opened up of heaven, and he said, this is my beloved son. He didn't say beloved. He said, if you be the son of God, then command these stones to be made bread. In other words, I know you're hungry. Now, command these things. You've been 40 days here tempted. Now, if you're really the son of God, and you're really who you say you are, then turn these stones to bread. What was he saying? He said, take the law and make it righteous. Lucifer didn't even know what he was saying. Glory be to God. He said, if you're really who you are, take and turn these stones into bread and supply yourself. Because you say you're the bread of life, then become the son of God. If you're really the son of God, command these stones. Speak to them and turn them into bread. And then what did Jesus say? He said, I only follow and proceed from every word that comes out of the mouth of God. He said, if thou be the son of God, if thou be the son of God, then command these stones to be made bread. Because you can do it. You've got the power to do it.

And Jesus said, it is written. Men that live by bread, by every word that proceed out of the mouth of God. What was he saying? He said, everybody lives off of me, Lucifer. You don't understand. I'm living from myself. Now, some of y'all would want to put on a show right then, and you'd have turned it to bread, because you'd want him to let you know who you were. See, if you know who you were, or people can't tell you who you ain't, and you ain't got to prove it. So what happens in the body of Christ? The church comes along and tells people who they're not. And they believe it because they don't know who to believe. But you and I ought to be living by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. Which is what? The word of God. How many of you know that that's how we function? Go to Matthew 2 Corinthians 5, 17. Therefore, if any man be in Christ, are you in Christ? Then you're a what? Now we've read this over and over and over, but we really don't understand it. Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he's a new creation. He's a new creature. He's a new creature. Then if you're a new creature, you can't be the old creature. If you're the new man, you can't be the old man. So why do you spend so much time with the old man? Because you don't understand you're a new man. He said, look, behold, all things are new to you now. All things are new to you now. That old guy died. Why spend any time with him? When you go back and start confessing, you're dealing with the old man again, because you don't understand the new man. When you're going back and trying to get it right, you don't understand the new man, because you're the only one that got it right. He's the one that made you a new creation, and old things have passed away, and now everything's become new to you. You're in a new heaven and a new earth. You ain't gonna get one. You already are in one, because you're a new creature. That's why you're not from here, because this world's not for you. You're from a heavenly place. And so he said, if any man be in Christ, are you in him?

Then why are you concerned about the new man rising back up? You can't have the old man and the new man at the same time. You're some kind of some. You're some kind of some. But Lord, I ought to be sorry when I miss it. You ought to be sorry if you're the old man, because the old man was sorry the whole time, but you're not an old man, you're a new man, so the new man ain't sorry. Oh, I'm shaking your religion, but I'm digging some ditches. And I'm telling you, water's coming. You can get ready, because the water's coming. It's gonna wash away religion. It's gonna wash away religion. Religion's gonna be washed away. You're not gonna be able to stay in your old mentality and go into a heavenly realm that I'm fixing to go into. Turns out we're going somewhere. So buckle up. The Bible says you're a spirit. You possess a soul and you live in a body. We've got to understand that the spirit man's who I am. The spirit man's who I am. You just see my body, because he wants me to let you see me. But the only way you can see me is to see who I am. You can't see who I've become. Because who I've become is out of this world. So I'm a spirit, and I possess a soul. Mind, will, and emotions is my soulish realm. But I live in a body. I live in a body so I can talk to you. I couldn't talk to you if I didn't have this body, because I couldn't function on earth and do the works of God. Because it's illegal for me to function on the earth without a body. That's why when Jesus came back after the resurrection, he didn't heal nobody, because he didn't have a body anymore. He had a glorified one. You can't function in that one. That's why you can't see all the people that surround you every day, because they're glorified. And you're fleshly-rimmed. You've been wrapped up in an earth suit that you need to shed. And if you shed that suit enough, you can see into the spirit realm and understand that you're not from here, you don't belong here,

and this ain't your place, so you can't miss it here. You can't miss where you don't belong. You just haven't got a new identity and realize you're heavenly more than you're earthly, so you want to stay here and dwell the whole time. You just ain't where you belong, man. You're not from here. You're just passing through here. That's why you lose sight of this place. Paul said this place is growing dimly to me, man. I'm stepping into seeing something I ain't seen before. What I've been listening for has been calling me for years, and I'm somewhere in the future. You just can see me now because I'm existing here, because I'm stepping out of time. Jesus is not in time. That's why he don't show up in your time. Because he stepped out of time. Go to 1 Timothy 3, verse 16. You can see this very clearly. And without controversy, great is the mystery of godliness. God was manifest in the flesh. How many of you know that was Jesus? He was declared righteous in the spirit. How many of you know he died and become unrighteous, so he become righteous because you become unrighteous? He was seen of angels. He was preached unto the Gentiles. He was believed on in the world, and he was received up in the glory. Lord, isn't that amazing? God was justified in the flesh. He was just manifest in the flesh. He was justified in the spirit. He was seen of angels. He was preached to the Gentiles. He was believed on in the world, and he was received up in the glory. How many of you know that's the six days of creation? They're all parallel to the six days of creation. 1 Peter 3 and 18. Watch this. For Christ, for Christ, not Pete, not Nelson, not Larry, hath, also hath, once suffered for sins, past tense. The just for the unjust. that he might bring us to God

he didn't say that you'd crawl in bed and get to God, that he would bring us to God being put to death in the flesh but he was quickened by the Spirit. How many of you know he brought us to God? he brought you to God he brought you to God I said he brought you to God you don't really believe that because if he did, you wouldn't confess anything other than that's who you are do you know to confess sin you've got to confess the old man because there can't be any sin in the new man because the new man is a new creation, he can't sin because the seed remains in him the only way you can become a sinner is the seed get out of you, the seed can't get out of you because the Word of God which is the Spirit of God which the Bible says in Luke chapter 8 verse 11 that the Word of God is a seed and you're born again according to 1 Peter 1.23 of an incorruptible seed that's a seed that cannot die so he can't ever leave you and you can't ever lose it because you didn't do anything to get it go to the New Living Translation in 1 Peter 3 and 18 Christ suffered for our sins once for all time he never sinned but he died for sinners to bring you safely home to God he suffered physical death but he was raised to life in the Spirit how many of you know that he brought you to God he brought you home turn to somebody and say he brought me home so why are you living in the ditch why are you living in the old man

why are you dealing with the old man all the time why are you always talking about the old man, the old man, the old man, the old man listen to me God spoke this to me this week if people are talking about your past it's because you ain't showing enough of your future if your future was more evident than your past had been then your future would be what people were talking about and the Bible said you and I are somewhere in the future and we look much better than we look right now so what is your future talking turn to somebody and say is my future talking or do you just remember my past because you know what the Bible said that death has been swallowed up in life so if my future is bigger than my past my past no longer exists because you don't have a past because it's a new day and it's a new person and it's a new creation and behold all things have become new turn to somebody and say I'm a new day let's go to the classic, the amplified classic in this scripture for Christ the Messiah himself died for sins once for all the righteous for the unrighteous, the just for the unjust, the innocent for the guilty that he might bring us to God in his human body he was put to death but he was made alive in the spirit turn to somebody and say this I was guilty but now I'm innocent I was unjust but now I'm just I was unrighteous but now I'm righteous

now guys if you're righteous and you're just and you're innocent you can never be unrighteous and you can never be unjust and you can never be guilty because only the old man can be unrighteous and unjust and guilty the new man is always going to be righteous he's going to be just and he's going to be innocent because he's a new man we spend too much time talking about the old man think about it no man can stand right with God simply by having his sins pardoned listen if your sins were just pardoned you'd still be lost let's go to second corinthians five eighteen and nineteen stay with me now I fix show you some all things are of God who has reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ and have given to us the ministry of what how many of you know he reconciled you to him turn to somebody and say he reconciled me to it listen to me how many of you believe this is perfect reconciliation let's go to let's go to verse nineteen to wit that God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself not imputing their trespasses unto them and hath committed unto them the word of reconciliation listen to me very carefully this could not be perfect reconciliation if there was sin in the new creation it's impossible for this to be the perfect reconciliation if there's sin in a new creation

it's impossible so when Jesus died he could not resurrect until every sin was pardoned and removed he could not have come out of the grave until every sin was conquered now stop resurrecting your sins stop resurrecting the old man because every time you talk about your sin you're talking about the old man you're talking about the new man because the new man You man can't sin because we've been reconciled or brought to God with perfect reconciliation So there can't be any sin in the new creation, or it's not perfect reconciliation I'm telling this is gonna bring deliverance to you This is not gonna want to make you seeing it's gonna want to make you live Some of you afraid to get out of the house Seriously you're afraid that you're gonna fall you're afraid if you see something you're gonna see it if I think something I'm gonna see And I'm gonna fall into seeing everywhere. I go so I'm gonna stay home That was not God's plan look at 5 2nd Corinthians 5 17 therefore if any man be in Christ He's a new creation a new creation and oh now. This is right before the two. I just read you Therefore if any man be in Christ is a new creation old things have passed away and behold all things are what? They've become new they become become become become become not becoming they become you you become you you're new Turn someone say I'm new ain't no sin in me Man can become a new creation because his sin nature was laid on Jesus Look look at here wherefore if any man be in Christ Look at that see it Therefore if any man be in Christ therefore if any man be in Christ when you accept what he's done. You've come into Christ You've come into Christ. You've come into Christ You cannot come out of Christ You cannot come out of Christ You've come into Christ You've come into Christ turn to some I say I've come into Christ I've come into Christ

Guys you got to get a hold of this. I've come into Christ Now go to Romans chapter 6 verse 5. I want you to see something here because here's where we're going to talk about that, dude For if we have been planted together the likeness of his death we shall also be in the likeness of his resurrection That's pretty plain Let me know you died with him Galatians 2 and 20 So if you died with him you came in the likeness of his resurrection with him right look at verse 6 Knowing this Knowing this do you know this? That our old man is crucified with him and that the body of sin might be destroyed that henceforth we should not serve sin So the old man has been crucified with him that the body of sin might be destroyed The old man didn't get up I said the old man didn't get up Jesus was bad Christ got up Look at Ephesians 5 27, I'm telling you you ought to be happy about this That he might present it to himself a glorious church not having spot or wrinkle any such thing But that it should be without be holy and without blemish Who's gonna present it he's gonna present himself as our perfect generation you and I are perfect man turns my sound perfect I get I'm so tired of preachers getting on the air and there's what they're saying Well, God will get come to the church when it get cleans up if it ain't cleaned up with Jesus it ain't gonna clean up Hallelujah if it listen if Jesus had to clean Pete Norris up Pete Norris have been a mess the church wouldn't have done much for me I I'm telling you I can't do much for you But Jesus is grace and mercy can wash you clean can save your life kids restore your marriage can heal your body can touch your Life can change your mind my glory We need the nine change be you not conform this world be you transformed by the renewing of your mind that you might become Understand your holy and acceptable and perfect before God Hallelujah with some kind of something But he'll change your life This word right here change your life and give you a reason man you you may not have any self-esteem But he'll give you one. He'll transform you

He'll let you recognize you some kind of something when everybody else says you ain't come nothing You'll know that you're some kind of something because the inside something been living for years man I'm talking about a good God that deliver a man out of pornography and drugs and and all kinds of mess and give him a Purpose turn to someone say I got purpose. I'm purpose driven now I'm not getting up doing the same thing every day, but I'm purpose driven. I got a reason for list living I got a reason for being here. It ain't just to be a daddy and to be a husband to Anita I got a purpose. I've been sent for destiny for divine appointment I showed up right on time born right in a perfect time. There's an example through a little 15 year old girl I come on the scene. They were shouting in heaven when I got here Hallelujah, you were shouting because you were calling me. You just didn't know you needed me go to Ephesians chapter 1 verse 4 I've been sent with a reason I've been marked According as he has chosen us in him before the foundation world that we should be holy and without blame before him in love So he has chosen us in him before the foundation of the world that we should be holy and without blame before him in Love turn to somebody say I'm without spot. I'm without blemish. I'm just as holy as I can be. That's not a denomination That's not a behavior. That's the way he made you Holy in this trend actual translation means to be set apart unto God you've been set apart. He marked you turn so I said been marked You got to get a hold of this guys I'm telling you got to get a hold of this go to Rumble Romans chapter eight, verse two. Romans chapter eight, verse two. For the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and from the law of death. How many of you know the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus, past tense, made me free from the law of sin and made me free from the law of death? Hallelujah. You cannot die without sin. If I can't have sin, I can't die.

Hoo-rah! Guys, you gotta get a hold of that. Sin is the only thing that causes death. There was no death till sin came. If there ain't no sin in you, you can't die. You just cease to exist and slide out of your purpose. See, but that messes the church up because I'm getting letters all the time, well, pastor, what do you mean we ain't gonna die? We ain't gonna die because they're so carnal. They don't understand they already died. Oh, but you're gonna die too, pastor. Yeah, I'm gonna get out of your presence sooner than later. Right, I'm gonna slide right out. Turn to somebody and say slide right out. Slide right out. Look at verse three. For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin condemned sin in the flesh. Now, watch this. I'm gonna stop right here because this seems like a contradiction to a lot of people. God sending his own son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin condemned sin in the flesh. Now, John 3, 17 said Jesus didn't come into the world to condemn the sin, condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved. So Jesus didn't come to condemn sin.

For God sending his own son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin condemned sin in the flesh. That seems like a contradiction, doesn't it? But look at verse four. That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us who walk not after the flesh but after the spirit. What did he say? That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us. Your body is dead because of sin, but the spirit is life because of righteousness. What did he do? When Jesus died in the body, he redeemed your body from a sin nature and made you in the righteousness of God, put his spirit inside of you, recreated you that no longer did your flesh have the power to override your spirit and no matter what your, I'm fixing to say it, whatever your flesh does does not control your spirit because when Jesus died in the flesh, it made your flesh inoperative to commit sin and to make sin bigger than your spirit man let you live, glory be to God. So your flesh no longer has the power to override your spirit man because your spirit man is the thing that's alive. Your body has been produced inoperative to produce sin because your spirit is who you really are. Your body is not who you are. Are y'all good?
