What if every painting, every stained-glass window, and every Sunday school lesson got it wrong? Most of us were taught that the disciples were grown men — weathered faces, long beards, seasoned adults in their 30s and 40s. But when you go deep into Jewish history, first-century culture, and the biblical text itself, the evidence points somewhere else entirely. In this video, I walk through 7 reasons why the disciples may have been teenagers — or at the very least, very young men — the day Jesus called them to "Follow Me."

Jesus bypassed the theological institutions of Jerusalem. He bypassed the credentialed and the polished. He called twelve ordinary, quite possibly teenage men — and changed the entire world. He's still extending that same invitation today. If this video helped you see something new in God's Word, share it with someone — and subscribe so you don't miss the next lesson as we Get into the Word until the Word gets into us.
