Supernatural Therapy — Signs & Wonders — Rich Wilkerson Jr.

And so Acts chapter 2, Acts chapter 2, let's go back and let's remember truly what took place on the day of Pentecost. Acts chapter 2, starting in verse 1, I'm going to read four verses. This is what the scripture says. It says, when the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. And suddenly, everyone say suddenly. Put that word in the chat right now, suddenly. It means immediate. It means instant. It means right now. I don't know what you're facing or who you are, but we serve a God. He doesn't have to wait for your circumstance to change, but immediately, in an instant, right now, He can change your circumstance. Do not forget the God of suddenly. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them. Someone say all of them. All of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them. Let me just skip down to verse 38. Verse 38. This is Peter. Peter replied, repent and be baptized, every one of you. So I want you to catch that. All of them and now every one of you. In the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins and you will receive the gift

of the Holy Spirit. Anybody thankful for the gift of the Holy Spirit? You will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. I want to take a few moments and I want to preach from the subject, supernatural therapy. Supernatural therapy. We are in part three of a collection that we began called Signs and Wonders and we are talking about the fact that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. Let me make that really simple for you. It means Jesus does not change and according to Peter, actually in the same chapter, that's what the collection is based on, after the Holy Spirit fell on the day of Pentecost and the church of Jesus Christ was born, a wind blew through, tongues of fire showed up, people started speaking in other languages. The scripture says that 3,000 people were saved that day. When Peter gets up to explain to everybody what is transpiring, what he says is this. He says Jesus Christ was accredited by God through signs and wonders. What he is saying is he is saying that Jesus is validated by being more than a man because he operated in signs and wonders, that God accredited him, God qualified him and he showed us that Jesus was supernatural. Now Hebrews, as I already quoted, says he doesn't change. It means Jesus way back there in the book of Acts is still the same Jesus in 2026. It means that Jesus is still moving. If he moved suddenly back then, he can move suddenly right now. If he healed blinded eyes back then, he can heal blinded eyes right now. If he healed sick bodies back then, he can heal sick bodies right now. If he restored relationships back then, oh come on somebody, he can restore relationships right now. We serve a God who moves in signs and wonders and we have been distinguishing the difference between a sign and a wonder. A sign points you to something, a wonder stops you, it disrupts you, it leaves you in a place of being in awe.

So watch this, a sign informs but a wonder transforms. And we have been looking the last two weeks at different wonders. We have been looking at Jesus. We've been looking out as he's done miracles on people. We've been looking up to discover who he is. But today is a little bit of a different day because today we're not going to merely look up or look out. We're going to look in. Because the most fascinating thing that people miss in Acts chapter two is the greatest wonder in Acts chapter two is not the rushing wind. The greatest wonder in Acts chapter two is not the tongues of fire. The greatest wonder, and some people get lost in this, is not even these people speaking in unlearned language. That's not the greatest wonder. The greatest wonder are those four little words, they were all filled. They were all filled, meaning something, or better yet, someone in Acts chapter two moved in, took up residence, decided to make his habitat your life. And then Peter says the best part. He gets up and says, repent and be baptized, and every one of you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Let me make it plain. It means what happened in Acts chapter two, if you are in Christ Jesus. I want to let you know the same God who showed up there is living inside of you. Anybody grateful for a God that before he does something through you, come on, he does something in you, God is taking up residence in your life. The greatest wonder is that they were all filled. The greatest wonder is that today broken people, fragile people, people full of mistakes, people that have disqualified themselves, people who are full of sin. The greatest wonder is that God wants to live inside of you, wants to live inside of you. We're living in what I would call a therapeutic age to say the least.

People it seems like in 2026 are almost obsessed with therapy. Now I want to be careful as I start. I am totally for therapy. I'm totally for counselors. Please do not stop going to your therapist. Don't cancel your Thursday appointment, okay? We need you there, all right? We're all benefiting from you getting help, all right? So I want you to hear this the right way. I am for counselors. I'm for therapy. In fact, this message today was birthed because I was talking to my therapist a couple of weeks ago. Yeah, I talked to a therapist for many, many years now, maybe every other week or so. And I was talking to this incredible professional that I love very much who's helped me a whole lot in life. And I was talking, I was breaking stuff down, I was like, and this happened, and then that happened, and I don't know, and then she said something real deep. She said, have you prayed about it? Excuse me? I got checked by my therapist. My therapist said, have you talked to the therapist? My counselor said, have you talked to the counselor? Because my therapist is natural. Your counselor is natural, but there is a divine counselor. There is a supernatural therapist, and you have access to him. I'm not trying to throw shade at anybody, but when did we start talking to everyone and everything before we talked to him? How come some of us are more comfortable sitting on a couch, sharing all of our deepest fears, all of our most shameful moments with a person we barely know, but we haven't even opened

up our mouth and gone to him? I was reading a report not too long ago that AI is everywhere right now, and have you been seeing all the different commencement speeches that every person who brings up AI, all of the students start booing them? Okay, I guess you didn't see that. Artificial intelligence is the talk of the town. I was reading an article the other day that what they're discovering on these models, by the way, all these models, as you're writing it, it's not private. That'll help you out some other time. People are studying you, your deepest thoughts, but what they're finding out is that people are going to AI for therapy. I'm not against AI. I'm not even saying AI is evil. What I am saying is, how on earth are you going to talk to a machine before you talk to the third person of the Trinity? His name is the Holy Spirit. I mean, these are perplexing times. We know how to prompt chat GPT, but some of us still don't know how to pray. And we're going to this machine who doesn't really know anything about us, all the while we have one who knows everything about you, who was there when the Holy Spirit knit you together in your mother's womb, was there before the trauma happened, before you even opened up your mouth, he saw the wound, he knows your problems better than you could ever describe. You have access to him today. You have access to a power that many of us are ignoring. If we're going to talk about signs and wonders, if we're talking about a God who is moving, we have to talk about the God who takes up residence inside of you. We have to talk about the one who will never leave, who will never forsake you. I suppose I believe the reason why many of us are ignoring the Holy Spirit, maybe it's for a couple of reasons.

I think one of the reasons is because some of us have had a strange or a weird experience at church. How many of you, you ever met a weird Christian, raise your hand, ever met a weird Christian? I would get your hand up. If your hand is not up, you're probably that one, okay? No, never, you're the problem, all right? Get your hand up. Sometimes we have an experience with people and because a person did something that was strange, manipulative, even abusive, sometimes we'll say, you know what, I'm good with Jesus, I'm good with God the Father, but the Holy Spirit, I don't really need him. I wanna remind you, just because man is weak and just because man is disqualified and just because man has made a mistake, never ever take the mistakes of man and put them upon your God. Your God is nothing like man. Nothing like him. He's bigger and better and you can trust him. But I think the other reason why many times people ignore the Holy Spirit is because they have the wrong definition of the Holy Spirit. I think a lot of people think the Holy Spirit is like the atmosphere, vibes. Vibes in here are good, Holy Spirit's here. They think the Holy Spirit's in energy and electricity or the Holy Spirit's goosebumps when they're finally singing that song,

God I'm Just Grateful. Can I just encourage you for a moment? When the song God I'm Just Grateful is sung, I don't care if you're a stone cold atheist, you're gonna feel something. What I'm trying to say is, if not that the Holy Spirit doesn't accompany those kind of feelings, he's just so much more than that feeling. And if you reduce him down to goosebumps, when you don't have goosebumps, when you don't feel electricity, you will think to yourself, he must have left me. But nothing could be further from the truth because David said, where can I go from your spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I make my bed in the heavens, you're there. If I make my bed down in the depths, you're still there. You can't get away from him. Yeah! He's more than vibes. The best way to define the Holy Spirit is the Holy Spirit is a person. Could show you lots of verses, let me show you one. This is Ephesians chapter four verse 30. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God. Now I stop there because this is important that you look at this verse. There's many verses like this. When I say the Holy Spirit is a person,

I don't mean that he's got a body like you and me. I don't mean that he's mortal like you and me. When I say he's a person, what I mean is that he has a mind, he has a will, he has emotions. He can be grieved. How many don't know, you can't grieve the wind. You can't grieve fire. I don't think you can grieve a dove. You can't grieve electricity. No, those are all atmospheres, and those atmospheres, they can't be grieved. They don't hold emotions, but you can grieve a person. What does that mean to grieve the Holy Spirit? It shows us that he has feelings and emotions about us, meaning that when he wants and desires relationship with us, closeness with us, when we resist him, it grieves him because he has an expectation. When we fail to engage with him, it grieves the Spirit of God. I wonder how many of us, simply because we keep ignoring him, we're grieving him. He wants to take up residence in your life. I've learned in my life that there are two different types of people when they get into a swimming pool. The first person is like my daughter Waylon. My daughter Waylon's four years of age, and she is the girliest girl I have ever met. This morning leaving my house, she had high heels on at seven a.m.

Good morning, Dad. I'm like, who are you? Waylon, when she gets into the pool, she does it toe by toe. Oh my goodness, no. And then it's her foot. And then it's her next ankle in. And she gets, oh my, no, it's too cold. Who's like this? Who takes the stairs to get into a swimming pool? Where are you people? I don't understand you. She just goes slowly, step after step. Finally, she gets to her waist. And then before you know it, she starts to wade in the water until she's finally up to her neck. But it took 20 minutes. But there is a second type of person. My son Wild. God knew it was a prophetic name when we gave it to him. Because Wild doesn't even have his shirt off yet. He's already in cannonball mode, splashing into the water. Some people think the Holy Spirit's gonna come into our life gently, slowly, little bit, ounce by ounce, toe by toe. But John said it the other way. John said, I baptize you with water, but there is one coming who will. Baptize you with fire

Baptized means to immerse To submerge I want to let you know when the Holy Spirit comes in your life. He comes in violently and Suddenly he comes in like a wild force rushing wind tongues of fire He didn't come for a little makeover. He came for a takeover Which is important that you get this because often I hear people say Rich, how do I get more of the Holy Spirit? More of the Holy Spirit the Holy Spirit's a person you can't get 30% of a person You either have the Holy Spirit or you don't It's never a question of how much you have the Holy Spirit the question is always how much Does the Holy Spirit have of you Because he comes crashing into our lives suddenly and instantly and if you've Confessed Jesus if you've claimed him as your Lord and Savior the Holy Spirit wants to fill you He's living inside of you right now In fact, the Bible says in 1st Corinthians chapter 6 verse 19 Do you not know that your bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit it means he takes up residence Often people read Acts chapter 2 but because they don't have context of the entire Bible They see these things as wind and they see these tongues of fire and they think it's just mystical and mysterious But if you had context if you knew the whole story you would see what's taking place You see in the Old Testament the tabernacle that was the mobile church That's where God's presence dwelt everywhere They set that temple up that tabernacle up there would be a pillar of fire that would hover over it because it was a sign That God's presence was there. So in Acts chapter 2 after Jesus has gone to the cross after now He has resurrected after now. He has sent the Holy Spirit when the Holy Spirit shows up all 120 people that are there Tongues of fire appear over them because it was an announcement for all of us today That no longer am I dwelling in brick-and-mortar But now I'm taking up residence in your very life. You are my temple The tongues of fire Was an indication that God's presence was inside of you

Modern-day translation you are God's living room I Am the living room of God When you realize you're the living room we got you walk different Talk different Think different I'm God's living room But as I say that I realize just because you called a living room Doesn't mean that anything is actually living Anyone have a mom like me We had this room when I was growing up called the living room But you weren't allowed to go in there I'm not kidding. This is not good. This is true. My mom had plastic on the chairs The carpet in there was immaculate it was like, you know how they do lines in the football field. I mean it was beautiful. Whoa There was candles, but don't you like those candles? You can walk by the living room You can look at the living room do not go into the living room, which is funny, right? Cuz like why do we call the living we should call it the look-at room The walk-by room the wave-at room. Hi But I think it's a good illustration for a lot of us because many of us we come to church and we say things like Holy Spirit you are welcome here. I Surrender all I am over to you. I am the living room, but all the while on the inside We have all sorts of rooms that we say are locked Can't go in there. No, no, not that part No, just put your toe over there, but you can't fully consume me. You can't fully take over me my thought life. That's locked My relationships that's locked my finances. Oh Jesus Holy Spirit, don't you talk to me about my finances? Come on, you know, I'm on a budget right now My pain locked my trauma locked my hidden sin deadbolted Don't bring it up pastor. I want to talk about that today. I came to be encouraged as Memorial Day weekend

Don't talk about hidden sin. That room is deadbolted my past Oh, I can barely even walk past that room because my past is hovering over me. I want you to see Something you might be calling your life God's house, but it's not his home Sanctification is not about getting more of the Holy Spirit sanctification is saying God Every room of my life you have access to it. You can come in there You can look at that you can heal over there. You can look right there God You can touch that area no part of my life is restricted to the Holy Spirit Come on, is there anybody out there that would open up their life and say come Holy Spirit? I give you my life Make my life your living room It's not about you getting more of him. It's about him getting more of you He's living inside of you man He's ready right now to heal to counsel to help you discern I'm, not saying it's wrong to go to a therapist and i'm not saying it's wrong To go into claude and write something. I am saying it's wrong when you go there first Yeah It's important because before jesus left Jesus said some important things about the holy spirit things that I think are mind-boggling that we don't have enough time To really sit in we read past these verses, but we don't let them weigh on us. This is what jesus said Before he went to the cross john chapter 16 But very truly I tell you watch this It is for your good Now look at your neighbor say neighbor This is jesus and he says This is for your good I love all the people who won't obey right now I ain't doing it

I'm, not a follower. We get it. We get it. We get it. We get it We get it right there in the chat. Just put it's for your good put that in the chat. It's for your good Very truly I tell you it is for your good. This is where it gets weird that i'm going away Jesus tells his disciples i'm leaving you and this is good for you What? Unless I go away The advocate will not come to you But if I go I will send him to you Now just get this in your mind. Jesus is with his disciples. It's the last supper And he looks at them. He says man. Hey Up until this point the last three years you have been with me I've been with you and you've seen me do stuff man. You saw me heal blinded eyes You've seen me resurrect the dead you were there that night when I spoke to the storm And the storm had to become still all because of my words I've shown you many signs and wonders. Remember we were at that party and I turned the water into wine. That was awesome Right. That was great. That was good. But listen to me. It's now even better that I go Because I have been walking next to you But i'm sending one that's not just going to walk next to you I have been beside you But i'm sending one that will live inside of you Jesus leaving is not a downgrade watch this jesus leaving and sending his spirit is a supernatural upgrade It was always a part of his plan and his plan actually has a name He says it four different times there in john. The greek word is the word parakletos And when you break down this word parakletos, it means helper. It means advocate. It means counselor But even more important that word parakletos You'd have to go into the context of that day because in a roman courtroom what a parakletos was it was a defense attorney It was an advocate. It was somebody Who was with you in the midst of a trial?

It was someone who took up for you when you were under pressure I have a friend who helped us start the church. His name is tanner lakey. I call him the tan man How many y'all got nicknames for your friends? I call him the tan man and the tan man is a lawyer Now, I don't want to say anything today that would incriminate me up in this pulpit But from time to time when i'm on the road and let's just say maybe I have a traffic citation My first call is to the tan man Because the tan man understands law the tan man knows how to build a case and suddenly Once i've called the tan man. I am no longer standing alone and representing myself But now there is one my advocate who gets in the way But now there is one my advocate who gets in the way And defends me. Come on if you're following what i'm saying right now clap your hands You better know today That you have one far greater than the tan man He is the parakletos. He is the holy spirit He is the third person of the trinity and he will be your defense attorney when you are in midst of trial I don't know what kind of trial you're facing today We go through different types of trial. At 3 a.m., when anxiety's trying to cross-examine you, you better understand there is one who comes back with an argument. His name is the Holy Spirit. When shame wants to make its closing remarks about you, anybody thankful for the Holy Spirit who says, ah, otherwise, I got some other information. When the enemy tries to build a case against you, I'm so grateful that the pericly, he gets right in there and says, wait a minute, hold up, I got other evidence. This man is covered, this woman is redeemed

by the blood of Jesus on a cross 2,000 years ago. You have been set free. The verdict has already been declared. Somebody thank God today. The verdict has already been declared. The verdict has already been declared, and the pericly is the reminder. The Holy Spirit is the reminder. It's amazing, right, because we have the world's greatest machine in AI, yet AI, in all of its greatness, still needs you to prompt it. Chat GPT still needs you to ask your question. Chat GPT still needs you to describe what it is that you are going through, but not the periclete. My son, Wolf, right now, he's about 18 months of age, and he'll start crying, he don't have a vocabulary. And when you're a parent, it's one of three things, right? It's like, it's either you're tired, put him down, ah. He's hungry, ah. He went to the bathroom, ah. He's hungry. But after that, I don't know what this kid needs. He doesn't have the words to tell me. Is this not what Paul is suggesting to all of us in Romans chapter eight, verse 26? When he says it this way, Romans chapter eight, verse 26, he says, in the same way, the spirit, the periclete helps us in our weakness.

We do not know what we ought to pray, Jesus. But the spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. I don't know who you are today, but you live long enough, you're gonna come up against some trials that you can't even articulate. Is there any saints in the house who have lived long enough to say, there are times I don't even know what to pray? I don't know if I'm praying for peace, I don't know if I'm praying for purpose, I don't know if I'm praying for strength, I don't really know, God. I am up to here in this trial. I don't know what forward looks like, I don't know what looks like going backwards, I don't know what the left looks like, I don't know where my friends are, I don't know where my family is, I don't know how I'm gonna make it. I am so grateful when I don't have the words to say. I'm so grateful if all I got is a groan, if all I got is a sigh, I'm so thankful that there is one. When I've run out of words, when I can't prompt it, when I can't pray it, I'm so thankful for the Holy Spirit who begins to intercede on my behalf. Somebody take a moment right now and thank Him. Thank Him today. Thank Him today. Who is this God who intercedes on my behalf

even when I don't have words? Do you know who you have? You have a supernatural therapist. He doesn't leave you, He doesn't bill you by the hour, He doesn't set up boundaries, He says at any moment you can call me and I will be right there with you. And when you don't have the words to say, I will pray for you, He'll pray for you. There's so many things in my life at 42, I don't even know, you ever in a place where you're like, God, I just want your will? I think maturity, here's maturity. The older you get, I'm not old, but I'm just saying, the older you get, it's like, all right, Lord, I thought I wanted that. But oftentimes I've wasted a lot of time praying for things that I thought I wanted, that had I gotten them, oh, Jesus, God, I just want your will. I don't even know what your will is. Come, Holy Spirit, pray for me. Maybe you're in pain today or maybe you have a wound today and you've never even spoken it. Maybe something happened to you and it's like, oof, it's locked away. The Holy Spirit was there and saw it and He can heal you and it just begins with you acknowledging Him. If I was gonna give an outline, I've preached. little bit here, but I want to give you some practical steps. I always love to try to not just build a case or a problem, but try to give you something to do.

It's not about you getting more of the Holy Spirit, but the Holy Spirit getting more of you. I think it's very very important you see it that way. He's not playing hide-and-seek with you. He's with you right now. He'll minister you tomorrow at work. I was talking to a guy the other day, he said, Pastor Rich, I gotta be here on Sunday because man, you inspire me. I'm like, I hear you, that's beautiful man, but there is one who is the inspiration. And he's always with you if you learn to access him. He's inside of you. Open up your life. So Rich, what are some practical ways that I can create more access in my life? The first thing is what Peter got up and said that day. It's the word repent. Just put that in the chat right there. Repent. Because it's an important word. Many times people think repentance is punishment. Repentance is about preparation. Repentance is a changing of your mind and changing of your action. It's a new direction. And when I say repentance, I'm not saying that every week you're losing your salvation. I don't believe in that at all. That once you got saved, you got justified in one moment. Repentance for us now is that as I mature, I want to remain in a state that I'm clean and empty. The Holy Spirit fills things that are clean and empty. He's welcomed into your house when you clean it up, when you acknowledge, hey, I got some problems here. Hey, I got some issues here. Hey, there's some sin here. But I invite you to take up residence inside of me. God, you can move in. Every area is not off limits to you. I drive, my wife and I, we have a minivan for all four of our kids. I'm going to be honest with you.

If you got inside my minivan, you might not trust me anymore. It is that dirty. It looks like a nuclear bomb went off. Weird stuff in there. Cheetos. One right shoe. Old diaper. It's a bad deal. And the other day, someone said, hey, Pastor Rich, can you give me a ride? And all I had was the minivan. I'm like, right now? Are we scheduled? No, no, I need a ride right now. Oh, right now, yeah. Give me a moment. Friend, we all understand that practically. How come we don't apply that spiritually? You're not just carrying some friend. You are carrying the power of the Holy Spirit. And you ought to create a home for him that's clean and empty. I need you to clap your hands a little bit if you're catching this today. All of our locations. Open up your life. Clean it out. Secondly, is that you got to be still. Don't just repent. Be still. Stop and pause. The Word of God says be still and know that I'm God. I think many of us, we don't sense the Spirit of God because we're not still long enough.

God is speaking. Are you listening? You cannot listen and speak at the same time. How do I know? Because my wife told me. You got to close your mouth. You got to open up your ears. And so it is with the Spirit of God. You got to open up your heart. You have to sit in silence long enough to hear from him. We serve a speaking God. I don't think our God has a speaking problem. I think we have a speed problem. We're so busy. Moving from thing to thing. Looking for a quick answer. Looking for a handle. We're so busy. Looking for a quick answer. Looking for a handle. Looking for a sound bite. God says, no, I want to give you more than a handle. I want to give you all of me. Hear from me. Learn from me. Know me. I will lead you. I will guide you. It's interesting to me that the word listen and the word silent are all the same letters but in different order.

When you get silent, you learn to listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit. And just so we're clear, I open up the same way. Our God is the same God. Yesterday, today, and forever. So if he spoke back then, he's still speaking today. Well, Pastor Rich, how does he speak? I want to know how he speaks. Well, he always starts with his word. Like the Bible. Guess who wrote the Bible? The Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the pneuma, the breath of God. You can't speak a word without breath first going forth. The Spirit wrote this book, meaning this book will not contradict with the Spirit. If the Spirit's speaking something to you, you should confirm it in this book. Pastor Rich, I need a fresh word. Alright, let's start. Go get a fresh Bible. Because it's a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your path. It will illuminate every bit of darkness and it will guide you all the days of your life. Oftentimes, discernment is just confirming it in God's Word. Pastor Rich, man, the Spirit's been leading me. He told me to leave my wife. What? Well, what's going on in the home? Is she, like, abusing you? Nah. The Holy Spirit said he's got something better for me. The devil is a liar. You might have felt something, you might desire something, you might want something, but that

is not the Spirit of God. That's a counterfeit God that shows up nowhere in the Bible. He'll speak to you through pastors and leaders. It's why it's so important that we make it a habit to be in God's house. Do not forsake the gathering of the saints. It's why we make it a habit that you get to crew, because he'll speak to you through people in your life. I think, oftentimes, we think blessings from God are financial or healthy and wealthy, and I'm not against those things, but I have learned 42 years on this earth that the greatest blessings that have come from God are typically in the form of a human being. They usually walk on two legs, and they are God's primary vehicle for blessing your life. You go to a crew, and you thought you were just going for fellowship, but you walked out going, I got confirmation. You walked out with conviction. The Holy Spirit was speaking to you and pointing you and saying, you got to get that out of your life. You got to remove that. You can't keep walking that way. He'll speak to you through strong impressions. I can't tell you how many stories that I've got with the Holy Spirit just prompting me to make a phone call. I don't know if I should call this guy. He's just on my mind. Call him when I call him. He's in tears on the other end. That's not because I'm supernatural. It's because there's a supernatural therapist that says, don't just use me. I want to use you, Rich. Obey me and make the phone call. He'll give you visions and dreams.

He'll speak to you. I've heard of people hearing the audible voice of God. I've never heard the audible voice of God, but I see it in the Bible. He can do it. In one moment, he can say something to you. The Holy Spirit does two things. He either restricts you or he releases you, but you must listen to his voice. The third way that we give the Holy Spirit more of ourselves is not just through repentance. It's not just through listening and being still. It's through obeying. You want to know what it looks like to surrender the Holy Spirit? It's to obey the Holy Spirit. The way you hear more of the Holy Spirit is by obeying him. The more you obey him, the louder his voice gets. The more you disobey him, the quieter his voice gets. That's why if you hear it and you're like, I can't hear the Holy Spirit, what I would suggest to you is go back to the last thing he told you to do and do that. Because he just keeps repeating himself. He is a broken record. He says it over and over and over again. And if you want to get a new word, you got to go back to the old word. As you obey him, his voice gets louder and he will lead you and he will guide you. He doesn't have a speaking problem. We have an obeying problem. How many of you all know the scripture says that when you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, you will be saved. That's totally true. Believe and you will be saved. And maybe you hear that and you're like, that sounds too easy. That sounds too light.

What do you mean? Salvation comes merely by believing. Well, the scripture also says faith without works is dead. Therefore, what I would submit to you is, is that if you're not doing something, did you truly ever believe in God? Because the Holy Spirit is going to lead you into action. If someone says they believe in Santa Claus, you know what the evidence is? They leave out cookies and milk. I believe. So it is if you believe in Jesus Christ. Faith without works, it's not a command. It's a law. That if you believe in Jesus, your life will be prompted with actions. You will do something different. You will become someone more. Actions will follow your belief. Believers believe, disciples do. And Jesus, as he ascended to heaven, he gave us, well, not the great suggestion, the great commission. He said, go out into the world and preach the gospel and make disciples, baptizing them in my name and the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. In Acts chapter two, he says, the Holy Spirit will come upon you in power. What's the power for? So that you might become my witnesses. In order to witness, you have to do something, you have to say something. There is an action. The Holy Spirit doesn't fill churches so we can entertain the church. The Holy Spirit fills churches that we might be a great witness and evangelize the world. That's why when they started speaking in tongues, the people that were in Jerusalem that day day 3,000 of them got saved. How many of y'all know 3,000 people don't get saved

merely by gift, merely by talent, merely by resource, merely by effort. The only way something like that happens is when the Holy Spirit empowers you with supernatural help. What would happen if we became a church that obeyed? What would happen if we became a church that actually opened up our life fully and totally to God that He might take up residence? God, I believe, but my belief is followed by actions. Where you lead me, I will go. Where you call me, I will follow. Whether it's on mountaintops or valleys, whether it's by the river or in the desert, God, I'm following you. I call this message supernatural therapy because the Greek word for therapy is the word therapia, and it means to attend to, to care for, and to heal through presence. And the Holy Spirit has the ministry of presence. He's with you. You ever gone to someone when they've lost a loved one? It's not your words that will fix anything. It's your presence. It's your embrace. It's your touch. It's your stance. It's your posture. And so it is with the Holy Spirit. I'm grateful for therapists. I'm grateful for counselors, but I'm thankful for one that is not limited to natural help. I'm thankful for one who is super natural, who works in miracle power, who can do anything, and the same Spirit that hovered over the waters in Genesis and took chaos and turned disorder into order, the same Spirit that overshadowed Mary and took this impossible moment and made it inevitable, the same Spirit that interrupted a sealed grave and took that lifeless body of Jesus, that same Spirit that resurrected him. The Bible says in Romans 8, that same Spirit lives inside of you. Come on, anybody thankful that he's still moving and still working? And on this Sunday, we are reminding ourselves that we are Pentecost people. That we don't operate by might. We don't operate by power. Come on, we operate by the Spirit of God. That when the accuser of the brethren steps in, oh I'm grateful that the paraclete, he steps in even faster. I'm grateful that when fear shows up, the gift of faith shows up even quicker. I'm a Pentecost person. And the Holy Spirit invades our life and moves through our life, and he is with us even now. He's with you even now. His presence is with you even now. He's ministering to you even now. Repent. Be still. Obey. He wants to provide therapy

to you. He wants to heal you. He wants to be with you. Many have quit your life. Many have abandoned you. Many of you promised one thing and left, but not the Holy Spirit. He doesn't visit and abandon. Know what he starts, he will finish. Let it man.
