Stop Trying to Predict Jesus’ Return. Do This Instead.

Jesus is coming back—but Jesus never told us to predict the day. He told us to be ready.

It’s easy to become obsessed with the signs of the times, world events, headlines, and trying to figure out when Jesus will return. But what if we’re watching the wrong thing?

In this message, we look at what Scripture actually says about the return of Jesus and what it means to live faithfully while we wait.

Paul reminds us that there will be a day when “we will always be with the Lord” (1 Thessalonians 4:16–17). Jesus will return. The dead in Christ will rise. Those who belong to Him will be changed. And for followers of Jesus, the future isn’t something to fear—it’s something to anticipate.

But Jesus also warned us to watch out that no one deceives us and to stay awake because we don’t know the day or hour of His return.

So how do we prepare?

Not by predicting the date.

By watching our lives.

Watch your heart.

Watch your mind.

Watch your habits.

Watch your relationships.

Watch your assignment.

Watch your witness.

Because the return of Jesus isn’t an excuse to escape this world. It’s motivation to change your corner of this world.
