Session 6 - Learn Who You Are in Christ & Be Yourself!

What if God isn’t pretending you’re righteous? What if He actually made you righteous? This message blows up “Jesus glasses” theology, spiritual experience-chasing, second-blessing sales pitches, and the lie that you’re still missing something. The cross made you forgiven, the resurrection made you alive, and Christ in you means you’re complete, led, loved, and free to be yourself.

Diving Deeper:

1. React to this statement: The cross is not enough to save you without the resurrection. Why do we need both the death and resurrection of Jesus to understand the whole Gospel?

2. What is the difference between being reconciled by Jesus’ death and saved by His life, as Romans 5 describes?

3. Why is “God sees Jesus instead of you” such a damaging way to describe righteousness?

4. God doesn’t have to “fake Himself out” when He looks at you. How does that change the way you understand your acceptance before Him?

5. What does “Christ in you, the hope of glory” mean for everyday life, not just church life?

6. Andrew contrasts imputed righteousness with imparted-life righteousness. Why does it matter that your righteousness is real and not merely “on paper”?

7. 2 Corinthians 5 says Jesus became sin so we might become the righteousness of God. How does that verse destroy the idea that you are still fundamentally sinful at your core?

8. Why are Christians so vulnerable to the sales pitch of “you need more”—another blessing, another experience, another spiritual high?

9. Colossians 2:6 says, “Just as you received Him, so walk in Him.” How does the same attitude that received salvation also describe daily life in Christ? 10. What would change if you really believed God likes your personality, your humor, your creativity, your voice, and your ordinary everyday life?
