See the Unsee - James Matamoros
What's up Journey Church Online? Journey Church Online. What is going on? Welcome to service. That's right. We are so glad to see each and every one of you today. So glad. I haven't had the honor and privilege of meeting you yet. My name is Jaylene and I get to serve you as an online director. And my name is Chantel. I get the honor and the privilege and the joy to be in the house of the Lord today and also being next to my fellow friend, Jaylene. Hi friend. Oh my gosh. I'm so excited. Friend. So excited to be here in the house of the Lord, but we're excited that you are here as well. That's right. They could have been doing anything else. Anything else. But you guys came here and we love that and the Lord sees that. So bless you. That's right. Okay. We want to know what it is that you're doing. Let us know. Maybe you're at the gym. Maybe you're making coffee. Maybe you're trying to entertain your kids. Yeah.
Or your fur babies. That's right. Whatever you prefer. Yeah. What is it that you're looking for today? Right. Let's set the tone right from the beginning. Like what is it that you need from God today? Put it in the chat because we want to know as an act of faith that we believe at the end of the service, you're going to receive that very thing that you've been waiting for. Yeah. You know what I like? What come to my mind just a second ago, you should let your praise match your expectation. That's very good. Isn't that good? That's very good. I think the Holy Spirit just downloaded that. He said, hold on. Somebody need to hear that. Okay. Because your praise would match your expectation and that's what you're looking for today. We got to know so we can be partnered up with you so we could pray and get it done. It's kind of like a commandment. Like you're commanding your soul. I feel sad today, but I'm going to walk in joy because I know joy is available to me. I just don't feel it right now, but I'm going to step into it and that's why we have Sunday service. That's why we do this whole thing. That's so good. You know another thing that the Holy Spirit just told me, the joy of the Lord is my strength.
Yes, it is. Isn't it? It is. Come on, somebody. Yes, it is. Man, we preaching today. So good. We just started. We saw a lot of joy yesterday because for the first time ever, we had our beach baptisms here at Daytona Beach in Florida and it was amazing. I was there being able to baptize people and be able to hear people's stories. So good. Actually, a testimony that I want to share with all of you because it was so powerful. I ended up baptizing a woman who shared with us that a year ago, she was watching Brittany Jones. She preached last year about like depression and anxiety and all the things and she didn't know like obviously Brittany Jones didn't know that this woman was watching from a hospital bed because she had her baby at six months pregnant. So she was very, the baby was very premature and they told her that her child would be in the NICU for months and they didn't even know like what his state would be. And so in the sermon, randomly, she starts talking about postpartum moms and starts encouraging moms and the woman was asking God to tell her, let me know that you see me. And then that happens. So she did what Pastor Judy always says, give God one year of your life. So good. So she did. And now a year later on July 18th, what would have been her original due date, she was getting baptized yesterday and her son left the NICU 10 days later, not months later, like they told her that he would. And so she has seen God's hand over her life in just a year, a year.
He did it. Man, she was all in yesterday. I think that is the, first of all, that's beautiful and that's powerful and shout out to her for doing it and listening to the Lord's voice. But giving your life, well, giving God a year of your life, I've been doing it. I can't even lie. You're a testimony. I am. My goodness. And I just, I, I attest to that because I remember sitting in the, you know, sitting in the sanctuary and just being like, what am I doing? And Pastor JJ is like, no, give God a year of your life. And I guarantee you, like he guaranteed it because he knows how good God is. And I've seen the fruit of just giving my life to the Lord. So if you're on the other side of the screen and you're feeling like, what are they talking about? Like why should I? The fruit is a different type of fruit. It's sweet over here. Okay. We don't got no sour fruit because when you rock it with the Lord, I'm trying to tell you, he will change your life. Yeah. It reminds me of the sermon that Rick preached on our Wednesday night prayer service. You can watch it on our YouTube channel if you want to, because they're always going to be posted on there. But he was talking about how you can be in the right room, but not have the healing you want because you haven't encountered the right savior. It's like you could be in the building, but you still haven't gotten the brokenness fix or the relationship fixed or the marriage restored because the encounter isn't in where
you are, but who you're around. And it was just so powerful. And that reminds me of you, like you could be coming to church, but if you haven't given your life, you're not going to see the healing that you expect because it takes that type of commitment. Man. But you know, it's also another thing. I feel like the Lord, somebody on the other side of the screen has been thinking about this for a while. Yeah. Because we didn't talk about this last service. No, we didn't. No, no, no. Somebody on the other side of the screen. The Lord is trying to tug on your heart right now. You're probably even touching your heart. Like, are they talking to me? Yeah. We talking to you. Right. Because the Lord is talking through us to get to you. That's right. Because that is what ministry is all about. Yes. And how beautiful. Before a year ago, I've been like, I don't know what's happening in here, but now I know. That's the Holy Ghost, baby. Come on. Come on, somebody. I love it.
You have language for it now. I have language. Yes. You can identify. It's so beautiful. People will say, I just feel things. I just feel a vibe. It's called discernment. You just don't know that yet because you know. You've got to give your life to Christ. Yeah. Speaking of giving, we're going to go into a time of worship and that's a form of giving because we're giving God our attention, our adoration. We're letting him know the problems aren't bigger than you. My preferences aren't bigger than you. My hurt, my pain, my past is not bigger than you. Instead, I'm going to set my eyes on you. So we want to encourage you. Prepare your space. That's right. Put your phone on. Do not disturb. Get the notebook out to get ready for service. Give your kids some food to distract them. Do what you got to do to be able to receive and press in in a different way today. So we're going to do a couple of songs of worship and then we're going to come back and prepare our hearts for what God has to say through today's message. We'll see you guys. Lift up your hands as we serve the King this morning. He is worthy of our every breath.
Let me see those hands. Thank you, Jesus. Come on, sing it out. I'm clean. Sin was stained on me. Shame was running deep. But love has spilled on Calvary. Oh, hallelujah, I'm clean. I'm clean. I'm clean. I'm clean. I'm clean. I'm clean. I'm clean. I'm clean. I'm clean. I'm clean. I'm clean. I'm clean. I'm clean. I'm clean. I'm clean. I'm clean. I'm clean. I'm clean. I'm clean. I'm clean. I'm clean. I'm clean. And it was not what I have done.
What would you've done for me? You paid it all apart. Oh, hallelujah, I'm clean. What you've done for me. And oh, hallelujah, I'm clean. Your love has overcome. And your mercy is supreme. Dancing in your victory. Oh, come on, sing it out. I've been washed in the water, washed in the blood of the Spirit. Oh, hallelujah, I'm clean. I'm clean. I'm clean. I'm clean. I'm clean. I'm clean. I'm clean. I've been washed in the water, washed in the blood of the Spirit. Oh, hallelujah. I've been washed in the water, washed in the blood of the Spirit. Oh, hallelujah. Hallelujah, here I come. Cause you took away my shame, and you nailed it to the cross. You've got me running, running. Hallelujah, here I come. Come on, sing it again. Cause you took away my shame, and you nailed it to the cross. Sing hallelujah, here I come. Hallelujah, here I come. Here I come running, running.
Here I come running. Here I come running. Hallelujah, here I come. Come on, there is joy in the house of the Lord. We can rejoice and praise because you paid the ultimate price for us. Lift your voice and sing to Jesus. We sing hallelujah. Hallelujah, hallelujah. Hallelujah, hallelujah. Hallelujah, hallelujah. Hallelujah, hallelujah. I've been washed in the water, washed in the blood of the Spirit. Oh, hallelujah. I've been washed in the water, washed in the blood. Oh, hallelujah. Will you lift a shout of praise to Jesus? Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. We thank you, Lord. Hallelujah. We thank you, Jesus. We sing your name today, God, because you are a good God. We sing this new song today. Let's sing it out. We're out here, we're out here I'm searching for answers Tired and weary on the way But in my brokenness you found me Yes you did Never too far from your amazing grace
I gave my life to Jesus He gave his life for me He washed away my failures And then he came and set me free In a moment of surrender Life can be redeemed Now I'm a new creation and his spirit lives in me The cross is proof that you love me You've given me everything I ever need Your sacrifice is my story When your blood is shed for all uncovering I gave my life to Jesus He gave his life for me He washed away my failures And then he came and set me free In a moment of surrender Life can be redeemed Now I'm a new creation and his spirit lives in me And I can't help but love you No I can't help but give you all to me And I can't help but praise you And I can't help but lift your holiness And I can't explain it But something broke my chain And something took my shame Something healed my pain And I can't explain it But something freed my soul And something made me whole And something changed it all
And I can't explain it But someone broke my chain And someone took my shame And someone healed my pain And I can't explain it But someone freed my soul Someone made me whole Someone changed it all I gave my life to Jesus He gave his life for me He washed away my failures And then he came and set me free In a moment of surrender Life can be redeemed Now I'm a new creation and his spirit lives in me And I can't help but love you No I can't help but give you all to me And I can't help but praise you And I can't help but lift your holiness And I can't explain it But Jesus broke my chain And Jesus took my shame Jesus healed my pain No I can't explain it But Jesus freed my soul Jesus made me whole Jesus changed it all Because Jesus is his name Jesus is his name Jesus is his name
Jesus is his name Jesus is his name Jesus is his name The holy name of Jesus is raised today Oh you've done it by your name Lord It's only by the name of Jesus Thank you Jesus, I thank you I thank you Lord You know, my husband, he laughs at me because I do this thing whenever there's a new song or an album that's releasing that I'm really excited for. When it finally comes out, before I'll press play and listen to the song in its entirety, I'll Google up the lyrics and I'll read through all the lyrics of every track on the record before I'll play the song. And I realize the reason that I do that is because I want to understand the message before I let the music and the noise drown it out. I want to understand what the writer's trying to say. And a couple of weeks ago when I saw this song was on the service for today, I was looking at the lyrics and I just fell in love with the bridge. And I love how the writer of the bridge of this song, they changed the lyrics three different times. And in the first bridge, he's saying, you know, I can't explain it, but I'm here, I'm here at church and something's changing, something's shifting inside of me. And then as we continue and we get to the third bridge, we realize that it's not something that's changing in him, but it's someone who's doing the changing in him. And it's not just any someone, but it's the someone, Jesus Christ of Nazareth. And I just, I feel in this room today that there might be someone who needs a reminder of the character of the Lord, of his goodness. See, I've seen a lot of pain in my life. I've been through a lot of heartache. I've seen addiction take the lives of people that I love.
I've been in foster care, but I can stand here today and I can tell you that when I was not strong enough to fight for myself, there was a man named Jesus who fought for me. And there has been a man named Jesus who fights for you. The only name that can provide revival. The only name that can heal. The only name that can save. His name is Jesus. So we lift up your name, Jesus. Oh, it's all about your name. I'm only here because of your name. Oh, you're good, you're good, Lord. You're good, you're good. Jesus is his name. Jesus is his name. Jesus is his name. Yes, he is. Jesus is his name. Jesus is his name. Jesus is his name. Jesus is his name. We thank you, we thank you, Jesus. Yes, Lord. Amen. I absolutely love that song because it reminds us that Jesus is his name. That's right. Jesus is his name. Healing is found. Joy is found. Restoration is found.
Breakthrough comes. Generational curses are healed. That's right. And so if you believe it, just write in the chat, Jesus, because that's more than enough. If there's a word that we can choose for the rest of our life, one word to say, I would choose Jesus. That's right. Because it does everything for us. And I know that I experience his healing power the most when I spend time with him in prayer. In fact, we have a prayer request that one of you submitted, and you asked us that you're praying for him. And I know that you're praying for him. And I know that you're praying for him. And I know that you're praying for him. And I know that you're praying for him. realize or see, people can see or realize or see. And so we thank you for being a God who moves. For being a God who hears us, for being a God who restores us. And right now we are praying for restoration in the relationship of this mother and her daughter. God, we are praying for forgiveness to take place. Lord, we're praying for healthy conversations to take place. Lord, for understanding with each other to be able to meet in the middle ground and put you as the center of their relationship God, so they can see a different outcome moving forward. God, I just want to pray over everyone watching online who maybe has a complicated relationship with their mom or their dad or their siblings or maybe a friend or a co-worker, God, I just pray for healing and relationships throughout the online campus, Lord, that we'll be able to love each other the way that you command us and to be able to have healthy, God-centered relationships, Lord.
We thank you for the testimony that's going to come out of this and how it's going to give you all the glory. We love you, Jesus. And in your holy name we pray, amen. Amen. Amen. And you know what I love about prayer is that it's such a gift. It is, yeah. So we're able to speak to our Heavenly Father directly, tell Him what's going on with us, tell Him our needs. But also what I love about prayer is that prayers get answered. That's right. And we would love to know also your prayer requests and your praise reports. Because yes, we can pray with you, we're going to join in with you and pray with you. But we also know that God is big and He's been doing a lot of good things. That's right. And a lot of people have been healed by Him and saved by Him. So we want to know that as well. Yeah. So go ahead and scan that QR code below where we can go ahead and pray with you. But also praise in what He's doing in your life. Yeah. I love that you said that. You breezed by it, but it was so powerful. Prayers get answered. I think someone needs to hear that today. That's right. His promises do not go void, they don't fall flat, and they don't ever come back empty. Absolutely. And so putting your praise report in the chat, let someone else know, okay, He does come
through. He gonna do it. He gonna do it. Well, what's up, JT Church Online? What's up? Happy Sunday. We're so glad that you're here. If we haven't had the honor and privilege of meeting your beautiful face yet, my name is Jaylene, and I get to serve you as the online director. And my name is Chantel. I get the absolute joy to be in the house of the Lord today and be one of your online hosts. That's right. And I'm so excited to be here with my good girl, Jaylene. Okay. So I'm so excited to be here today in the house of the Lord. Yeah. Put it in the chat. Let us know where it is that you're watching from. Where you're tuning in from. I think we have a special group of people joining us. Chantel. Man, we have a lot of special people. We do. It's just a special place. It's though we do. She hanging out with too much. That's true. We need a break. We need a break.
But no, there's some special people out there. Okay. And shout out to our online guests, of course. Of course, we're happy you're here. But the Pando app, we are so excited that you guys have tuned in again to get the word of God. Man, we are so excited that you're walking along with Christ. You tuned in every day. You're doing the hard work, right? Yes. And we are so grateful for you. And we see you. That's right. Keep going. Okay. I actually told Chantel and the team right before we went live to service, I actually met two men who are watching from the Pando app. One came out four months ago, and then another one just came out recently and actually ended up working with my husband at his job. What a crazy world. Yeah. But I met them in the lobby. I got to hear their story. And it's just so amazing to see. And they thanked me for what we do here. But I'm like, but you guys are the one doing the work. We can present the word, but you don't have to take it. But the fact that you are, we are so encouraged. We get your letters and we are praying for you and we are standing behind you every single step of the way.
That's right. So good. But we also have- Also have. I was going to ask you if you don't mind. Yeah. Did you want to read them what you have? My letter? Yeah. Did you? I do. I do. If it's- Because Jaylene, she keeps things. She has like 30 of these. And I thought it was really important that we should at least let you guys know one of the testimonies from the Pando app, right? Absolutely. So Jaylene says, he's incarcerated in Texas. He's been incarcerated since he was 16 years old and he'll turn 31 on Christmas. He was sentenced to life in prison with the eligibility of parole in 30 years. He says, in the beginning years, I felt hopeless and helpless, like there was nothing to live for. But my defining moment came when Jesus called me. Right then and there, I knew I had been chasing after the wrong prize. That wasn't even a prize to begin with. All along, the prize, the greatest reward has been and will always be Jesus himself. Oh God, man. Yeah. Jesus be the name.
Yeah. Oh man. I love that. Thank you so much for sharing. That's right. There's also some special other people. There is. And that is our FTG. FTG. Let's go. FTG stands for first time guest. That's right. If you're a first time guest, we don't want you to be a last time guest. We want to keep getting to know you because you're VIP here at Journey Church. That's right. So make sure you scan the QR code below because I would love to call you, hear your story and help you find your place here with us. And you know what? You're absolutely right about helping you find your place here because it reminds me one when I was a first time guest, but then I heard Pastor JJ say, give God a year of your life. That stood with me. So it's like embedded in my mind. And then I got into Next Steps and that's what I want to talk to you guys about. Next Steps is powerful. It's impactful. It is. It's beautiful. And it's a great experience to figure out your God given gifts. And I was able to have the pleasure and the privilege to be able to be on a team, to learn
what God has for me and what he wants me to do in this world to spread his gospel. So if it's been on your heart to figure out what am I supposed to do? Why am I here? What does God have for me? I guarantee you scan that QR code below. You're going to find out fast. Okay. Because one thing about the Lord, he moves fast. Come on. That's right. That's right. That's it. That's all I got. Next Steps, man. Come on. You got to do it. Best place to be. But maybe you're like, hey, I've been coming to church. I've been accepting my purpose. I do all the things. I got a good job. You know, I'm fit. But I just don't have a spouse or don't have a man or I don't have community. I just want y'all know Chantel has a good job she's beautiful she's funny if you can't tell she's personality and she's gonna be there so if you're interested it's not it's not for that you can come and find community for your girls but just in case. Oh man I might need you there with me bro I need you to let them know. I'm gonna go sign like qualifications serious inquiries only please. Serious okay you must have a job. You could come and say hello but don't be don't be playing now. Okay yeah and you gotta make her laugh that's that's. No seriously. We have to love Jesus. Anyway we'll come back anyway we'll come back to that but one thing you know what comes to my mind about singles night? Lord I've seen what you've done for others. So if you say that same prayer show up and scan that QR code. I was dating last year now I'm married and pregnant. Do you understand? It's testimony. Okay so look another thing that's going on if you go to that then you could also go to serve week which is happening July 27th through the 31st. Not just one day but a whole week okay to pour into your community pour into people and do what the Lord has asked you to do. So if you want to be a part of that go ahead and scan that QR code below and we'll see you there as well at serve week. That's right like if you go to singles night and then you see them at serve week you know what's good. You know what I'm saying because everybody's different. Anyways but maybe you're working throughout the week you can't come to serve week. That's right. We want to invite you to come to our back to school bash happening August 1st from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. It's a really great event for all of our families who are preparing for the back to school season. We're gonna have free backpacks, we're gonna have free haircuts, free food, free face painting and it's just a way for us to help you prepare for all your kids going back to school. We want to relieve the stress. Right, right, right. Just let you know we have your back and pray over you and your family as you step into this next season. So make sure you come out because we would love to see you there. Yeah absolutely. I love that that you know Journey Church does so much and just if you need it come and we got you. We make Jesus accessible to anyone and we're gonna make sure you guys are good to go for school okay. You can get prayed over which I love. I heard about that. Yes. Okay so one thing I want to talk to you guys about we are Youth Takeover in case you guys didn't know. Young Adults Youth Takeover. Let's go get into it. But I want to talk to you guys about Culture Conference okay. Culture Conference first of all we want to thank you Journey Church for your faithfulness, for your generosity and essentially
just helping people be impacted and encounter God. So with the Culture Conference that I'm talking you guys about it does happen October 16th through the 17th and it's a beautiful experience. It's for middle schoolers, high schoolers and young adults from 18 to 29 and this year the theme is Acts 2-2 which is the Spirit of God will fill the home. That's so good. Oh my gosh so good. So we want to show you an inside you know sneak peek of what Culture Conference actually looks like. So go ahead and look at the screen and see what we got for you. In all this world neither height nor depth, angel nor demon, past nor present can separate me from the love of God through Christ Jesus our Lord. So in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word became God and He came down from heaven to earth and He died on the cross for our sin but don't worry because three days later He rose again and if you know that Word then you've been saved by that Word and you've been delivered by that Word and it is the only Word that holds absolute power. If you do not know which Word I am talking about, I am talking about Jesus. So how cool does Culture Conference look? Like I wish I could be in the room you know but it would be so fun anymore but you guys are gonna have fun so be there or be square right? No but seriously we are believing that any person that walks into that room is going to encounter God and they're going to be impacted by God's grace so we are Excited for that. But this year we're also doing something really, really cool for you guys where we're gonna welcome in some incredible guest speakers and we're also gonna announce it on social media. So make sure that you are tuned in to Journey Church Online on that social media page because for the first time ever, we are going to be designing a young adult Saturday night. And if you sign up today, you get free VIP priority access. Okay, you got me at free and you got me at VIP.
Okay, so if that's you, you need to go ahead and scan and get in the room so you can get encountered with the Lord. That's right. We actually have our own culture conference Instagram. So if you wanna get like direct info, go there so that way you can get all the info, all the details. I've gone to the past couple of culture conferences. I can't this year because I have a baby by that time. But the last two years, it's been so fun, so encouraging, so amazing. And I just love seeing all of our youth being ignited. Like, yeah, the young adults, cause like y'all just got it. But the youth seeing like middle and high school just being so unapologetically. Yeah, ignited for the Lord. It's just really a beautiful experience. So make sure you come, take advantage of the free VIP access today, cause you're gonna want to. But there's also something free you can do right now, which is share this message with three people that you think need an encouraging word. I love that because it's just an intentional way to let people know that one, you're thinking of them. One, that you want them to be encouraged. And three, that there is a God who sees them, who knows them, who loves them,
that there's a home for them. That's waiting to receive them right where they are. And so just send the link, be bold. I'm praying for boldness and courage. I'm praying right now over everyone watching this to send it to that coworker that maybe you know just needs Jesus. Send to your mom who hasn't accepted the Lord. Maybe you're the first in your family. You're like, how do I do this? Sending a link is an easy way to let someone know that you love them and that God is thinking of them. Yeah, that's so good. Quick testimony, I actually did send the message out to one of my coworkers at one time. She might even be watching right now, but she was having a difficult relationship with the Lord and trying to get back to it. And I sent her the message. She was like, wow, God has been trying to get to me and I needed that and thank you. So you never know, listen, like the boldness that she just gave you guys, do it. I'm telling you, it can really change somebody's life. One of our team members, she sends a link to her dad every morning, every Sunday, just to let him know that he watches. See you, girl. But with that being said, what we're gonna do now, we're actually gonna transition
into a time of the word of the Lord. But we also, with our pastor, JJ, and pastor Liz not being here, they have a very special message for you guys that we want you to see before we dive into the word of God. So go ahead and take a look. And we'll see you soon. Bye. Hey church, welcome to Summer at Journey. My name is JJ and along with my wife Liz, we have the honor and the privilege of serving Journey Church as your lead pastors. And if you didn't know that, probably means you're a first time guest. And if you're looking for a home church, we think you found it. Not only because you're surrounded by the presence of God, but also because you're surrounded by some of the most amazing, honest, open, and transparent people in all of Central Florida. Journey Church, you proved me right at putting your hands together for all of our first time guests. Come on, let's welcome them to the house. You know, each summer, we set aside a time for a sabbatical. For us, that's just a chance to step away, be refreshed, spend intentional time together as a family, and most importantly, seek God's direction for the season ahead.
Journey Church, thank you for your prayers, your encouragement, and for giving us the space to step away for a season. We love this church and we love what God is doing here. One of the reasons we're taking this time is because we want to lead, serve, and love this church well for many years to come. That's right, we're not going anywhere. We'll be back very soon and we're excited for everything God has ahead for Journey Church. Well, I don't know if you could tell, but today is our youth and young adults takeover. That's right. One of the things that gives us so much hope for the future is what God is doing in the now generation. Every week, students and young adults are finding community, growing in their faith, and discovering God's purpose for their lives. And as former youth pastors, we know that that's something that really hits home in our heart. And none of that happens without the incredible leaders who choose to invest in them. The people who show up week after week to listen, encourage, mentor, pray, and walk alongside them. As parents of teenagers and as former youth pastors, we know the value of having a church that pours into our students. And we love so much all of the Dream Teamers and staff that make that happen.
So today, we want to say thank you to every leader who shows up for culture night, JYE, young adults night, and so much more. Oh my gosh. Thank you for serving the now generation with excellence. Come on, journey. Let's celebrate all of our youth and young adult leaders. Well, we're really excited to introduce today's speaker. He is definitely an OG. The launch team 10 years ago, Pastor James Matamoros has been a part of Journey Church since the beginning. He's a friend, an incredible leader, and someone who loves this church deeply. Pastor James leads our youth, young adults ministries, and if you've ever spent any time around him, you know he has a way of making people laugh while helping them grow closer to Jesus. He's also one of the most fashionable people that we know. You know, that's a lot coming from you, yeah. I mean, I said it, but you know. More importantly, he's someone who faithfully serves people, loves God's Word, and has invested years into building what God is doing here at Journey. So let's go across all of our campus one more time. Would you help us give a huge shout-out? We believe in honor. Let's stand on our feet for Pastor James Matamoros. If I haven't had the honor and the privilege of meeting you, like Pastor JJ said on the screen, my name is James, and alongside my amazing wife, we get to serve as a youth and young adult pastors to the most incredible church in the world. So can we give it up for yourselves real quick? Amen, amen. I do want to give honor where honor is due and honor our lead pastors,
Pastor JJ and Pastor Liz. I can't believe it's, babe, almost 10 years since we've been under their incredible leadership, and they truly, what I can tell you, they are the real deal. What you see on the platform, what you see on this stage is incredible, but the way they live their lives off of the stage is so inspirational and inspires us as a married couple. So can we clap it up for our lead pastors one more time? Come on. I do also want to welcome our East and Kissimmee location. Welcome, y'all. Excited to have you. And then can we also keep the audience and the clapping going for our online community and those who are incarcerated watching through the Pando app? Excited for you guys to join. I'm excited for today and the word that God has for every single person in this room. And I've been thinking about these 10 years, and it's crazy. 10 years, a whole decade that we've been pretty much a part of Journey, and it's insane. And this week, as I was preparing and thinking about that, I started to think about the first days of Journey. I remember the first Sunday at Journey. Me and Evie took a photo. So this was us about 10 years ago. There we go. 10 years ago. Don't judge me, by the way. I know Pastor J just said I was kind of stylish. I will say 10 years ago, boots like that were kind of stylish. I don't know. But that's 10 years ago. But right now, we have a family of five, y'all.
And no, Evie's not pregnant. But this is me and my amazing wife, Evelise, and then our two boys, Judah and JC. And you're probably like, where is the fifth? Are you talking about the Holy Spirit? What do you mean? If you look closely, my oldest, JC, is holding Bear. Bear is a part of the family. Look, he's holding it right here. Come on, buddy. You guys get the treat of Bear being the audience in this service. Come on. And I'm going to tell you, Bear is a family member, okay? Bear has been with us to Chicago, to New York, even Japan last year. We almost lost him in Japan. But he is a part of the family. So that's our amazing family. I can't believe we started as newlyweds 10 years ago, and now we have a family. It's insane how God has worked. And as I began to reminisce on these 10 years, I started to think about even the first time of me serving and how God just moved in so many different ways without me even realizing it. The first team I joined, we actually didn't have a youth team. So the first team I ever joined was actually guest services. Let's go. Come on. Our guest services are experienced team, specifically in the Department of Hospitality. And the reason – let's go, Hospitality. Let's go. Honestly, this is going to be a bad reason, though.
Back then when we were in the school, we were broken down that way. But Hospitality was the only guest experience team that was in the AC. So I was like, all right, sign me up. But I will say, one of the things that we would do every morning at 6 in the morning, and nobody saw, and they're probably like, how did those signs get there, was put signs up to say where Journey Church was because it was really hard to see. I think we actually have a picture. Again, don't judge me. Style back then was a little bit different. That shirt is not ripped. It actually is a zipper. I don't know what I was doing. But we legit back then, we couldn't afford a ladder. No, I'm just joking. We just – I forgot a ladder. But legit, we would need a ladder every time we put up signs. And that day I didn't have a ladder, so Evie was the ladder. And we put up a sign that said Journey Church. I'm pretty sure that was illegal to put. Journey church signs over Government signs, but that's the only way people could see and I started to think about moments like that And I look at our East and Kissimmee Location where they do so much of setting up and tearing down that goes unseen And I know our dream teamers at the church doing so much to make a Sunday happen that goes on see can we just clap? It up for them one more time And what I began to realize is God moves in the unseen So there have been moments even throughout these 10 years where I believe we're pivotal to the growth of journey church Through things like the unseen. See I remember there was a Random workday where we got news that because of this epidemic called kovat
We'd have to be quarantine wouldn't be able to meet as a church. I remember being in the staff meeting thinking Okay, what are we gonna do? And then pastor JJ grabs a whiteboard and he says hey We know our system is for people to know God find freedom discover purpose and make a difference How do we make this online even if we can't meet in person? We're still gonna make sure the gospel is heard and I think the way we treated that season that maybe felt unseen Propelled us into a season like this. I think of other moments I remember we launched the prayer team and the prayer team being able to pray Backstage during service and how that changed even the trajectory of our church and still to this day There are people praying behind stage not just for me, but for you See God moves in the unseen and the more I've realized as a pastor is that oftentimes The most important things are the unseen things God moves in the unseen, but here's the thing. I Think sadly we look at the wrong things I think oftentimes we see things and God wants us to see a different perspective You see we see the fame But God sees the faithfulness See we see that person's success, but God sees the integrity See we see that person's talent But God sees their character We see moments like somebody on the platform, but God sees the prayer closet See, I think for us today what we have to understand is the problem isn't our eyesight It's our insight See oftentimes God is trying to reveal something to us, but we miss it We miss it because we don't have a vision problem, but instead we have a perspective problem And what if today? God wanted to shift your perspective to see you to see you have something different In the way you look at life See God has a different perspective that he wants to show you today The question is will you see it? See, I think there's three people in this room today. There's that person
Who maybe you do feel seen in life? But you're missing out on what God is trying to show you Then there's those in this room that if you're being honest and transparent in life you feel unseen You feel unseen by that boss Unseen by all the hard work that you do for your co-workers Maybe unseen by your spouse unseen by your children and all the things that you sacrifice for your children Unseen by that friend group them rejecting you or not even putting you in that group chat. Come on somebody Feeling unseen by your friends unseen by your parents and might I dare even say Sometimes even feeling unseen within the church See, I think there are those who maybe are missing out on what God wants to show them But there are those who also feel unseen, but I think there's some of us in this room who are both We have the issue of not seeing the vision that God has for us, but also having the issue of visibility But today I believe God wants to show us something different. I think God has a different perspective for us We just have to lean in See here's the thing God doesn't want to change just how you feel But he wants to change how you see and my challenge for you today Wouldn't be that you would just open your eyes But my challenge for you today would be that you would open up your heart to see what God wants you to see See the title of my sermon today is see the unseen Tell the person next you see the unseen Then tell the person that you didn't say that to I still see you Come on. Well, let's pray Father we just come before you today in adoration of who you are Lord Thank you for every single person in this room Lord You are you know that they are here for a reason so Lord I pray that they would have their hearts open to see what you want them to see but I pray that every single word I say be your word And your words alone, so I thank you in advance for what you're going to do in Jesus name. Amen. Amen Amen, can we clap it up for God real quick? Come on But today we're gonna be looking at the book of Genesis and the book of Genesis today
I want to focus on chapter 37 So if you have your Bible you can open it up if you have your phone You put it on airplane mode, but go to the Bible app. Amen And in chapter 37 verse 3 through 8 it reads like this Now Israel loved Joseph more than any of his other sons Because he had been born to him in his old age and he made an ornate robe for him I'm a pause right there real quick See Joseph who we're looking at here and really from chapter 37 to the end and the rest of Genesis It focuses on Joseph. We see that he's the favorite Joseph was definitely seen. What's crazy is Israel aka Jacob the father He sees Joseph and lets all his other sons know. Hey, yeah, he's my favorite and I made a colorful robe just for him How crazy is that? Like I have two boys right now and they come up to me. Sometimes it's crazy. They're four and two years old I'm ready for bear to start walking to ask me the same thing and they come and they're like hey Who's who's the favorite? Is it me? Is it Judah? And I will never answer that question And the crazy part is even if I did have a favorite, which I don't but even if I did I am NOT gonna let them know who's my favorite but Jacob just does that with Joseph and It says here that obviously his brothers noticed because look it says when his brothers saw that their father loved him more than any of them They hated him and could not speak a kind word to him Joseph had a dream and when he told it to his brothers, they hated him all the more He said to them listen to this dream I had we are binding sheaves of grain out in the field when suddenly my sheaf rose and said upright While your sheaves gathered around mine and bowed down to it His brother said to him do you intend to reign over us? Will you actually rule us and they hated him all the more because of this dream and what he had said I Don't want to excuse Joseph's brothers. Okay, like they hated him
You'll find out later that they tried to kill him but Joseph also Bro, couldn't read the room Like if you know, that's your brothers hate you You're gonna wake up from a dream and tell him hey guys, I know you hate me, but guess what one day I'm a rule over you one day. I'm a ruler. Are you sure like yeah, I'm sure and it was crazy Is it the scripture continues Joseph has another dream and in that other dream he wakes up and he says yeah guys I got confirmation I'm definitely gonna rule over you one day But not only you guys but also dad and even says that Jacob looks like wait, are you sure me too? I'm sure Joseph's father was kind of like man, maybe I picked the wrong favorite son Joseph had visions Joseph had dreams Joseph could see the future, but he couldn't see what was right in front of him See it so often. We're focused on success We want to gain we want to achieve but we miss out what God is entrusting with us right now We miss out on the people that he's given us the job that he's given us Yes, I know it may not be the best job, but it is a job And we're so focused on to the future we're missing out on what God wants us to see right now Here's the thing you can hear from God while missing the heart of God I Don't want to live a life Trying to achieve so much and even doing it for God But missing out on what God is trying to do through those things that I'm doing Which leads me to my first point if you're taking notes See beyond yourself Tell the person next you see beyond yourself Here's the thing I think we're really enamored in success Because we're so focused on success
Sometimes we find ourselves Neglecting those around us and the things that God has given us See there's nothing bad with success But it's when we forget the things that God has given us at the expense of us wanting to achieve success that becomes an issue See when your world revolves around you you stop seeing the people around you. I know for some of us this next part might sting a little bit and I apologize But pinch the person right next to you, tell them it's gonna sting a little bit. I'm just joking, don't pinch them. Don't pinch them. But I think what's crazy is sometimes we're so consumed in what we want to achieve, in what we want, that it doesn't just bleed into work, it doesn't just bleed into our even marriage, but sometimes it even bleeds into this room right here, sacred ground. So often we can be so consumed in ourselves, we can go into moments of worship and hear a worship song and say, man, that song again, or man, that person singing again, I wish it was that person. In the midst of our critical thinking in that way, the person right next to us has their breakthrough in tears, seeing the exact lyrics they needed to hear from confirmation from God. But because we're so focused on ourselves, we missed out on the miracle right next to us. Sometimes we can go into a sermon and say, man, I wish that sermon was for me, or I wish that person was preaching,
and we miss out on the fact that over 100 people gave their lives for Christ. See, we can go into service, we can see students dancing and missing out, that they're not just dancing, but they're worshiping God, that they're not out in the streets, but they're in the church. See, we have a generation hungry, but so often we're so consumed in our own ideologies, that we miss out on what God is doing here. I don't think we realize, but we're in a living miracle right here. We have people sitting in the wrestling arena that we call it, we have people sitting in VIP, we see y'all. This is a living miracle. And I remember when the church was at 250 people, when I knew every single person's name, and don't get me wrong, there are moments that I miss about that, but don't miss the miracle that's around you. See, I think some people look at this and they say, uh-oh, and I'm about to say the M word, please, I ask for forgiveness. They see a mega church, yeah, but God sees a growing church, a healthy church, a church that's on fire for Him, a church that baptized over 100 people just yesterday, a church that wants to see people reach Christ, that wants to see the unseen,
that is making Jesus accessible to anyone, not just even in Central Florida, but online. We don't have these cameras to look cool, we have these cameras to make Jesus accessible, and for people to see that God sees them. But sometimes we're so enamored, oh man, that's all. But what if we shifted our perspective? See, if all you see is the spotlight, you'll miss what God is trying to do in the shadows. See, recently, I don't mean to bring up 10 years again, but recently, me and my wife, we celebrated 10 years of marriage, come on, and it was cool, got to go to Europe, it was awesome, and one of the places she really wanted to go to was Ireland. I'm gonna be honest, nothing will test your marriage more than driving in Ireland with the smallest car on the wrong side in the left lane, but with my wheel, steering wheel on the right side, looking at kilometers, not knowing exactly how fast I'm even going. It says 130 kilometers, what does that even mean? And in the smallest road, like I've never seen the scripture of the narrow path the way I have in driving in Ireland. But thankfully, we survived, we're good. But there was one place she wanted to go to in Ireland. We had to drive, I don't know what, three hours, something like that, four hours, and we get to Dingle, Ireland,
and she really wanted to go on this boat tour. So we go to the boat tour, and we're like, hey, we're gonna buy these tickets, and they're like, hey, sorry, the water's too crazy. We're not gonna be able to do it, but we'll call you in the morning and maybe tomorrow, but just so you know, all week, it's probably gonna be closed. They call us in the morning, they're like, hey, we have one slot, we're only gonna be able to do it in the morning, just so you know, the waters might be rough, but it's okay, we've tested it. So we go, we're so excited, because I'm excited for my wife, she really wants to experience this boat tour and seeing the beautiful waters of Ireland. And we go on this boat tour, and I thought it was a boat tour, but I spent probably more time in the air from the waves crashing than I did on the water. Your boy was scared. Like, I've been in some crazy roller coasters in Orlando, right, we're probably the roller coaster capital, but that boat, I legit was scared for my life, holding on, thinking I was gonna fly off. And then as we're fighting for our lives, we see this little puffin, which is like a duck slash penguin type thing, and he's just chilling in the water.
I'm trying to fight for my life, and I see this little animal just chilling. But then when we look closer, that puffin's feet was absolutely paddling. fighting for its life. But the dilemma that we face in life is we begin to see what others see. We want to achieve what others want to achieve, but we don't see the grind. We don't see what they're actually going through. We only see what they want us to see. A.K.A. I need to free somebody today. Social media is fake. People only want you to see what they want you to see. If you look at my pictures from Ireland, you will not see me fighting for my life in the water. But we're so consumed by success, oftentimes because we want others to see that success. But we don't even see what others are going through to achieve that success. And then we envy that person's success. See, what God has given you today, you have to understand, is what he wants you to have. But you have to steward well what he's given you today. See, my next point is see beyond the surface. Tell the person next to you, see beyond the surface. See, when it comes to seeing beyond the surface, this is important because Joseph was seen, right? But his brothers, not so much. His brothers, obviously we see that they hated him,
even tried to kill him. But Judah was one of his brothers, fourth in line in the lineage. And he wanted to spare Joseph's life. But Judah wasn't perfect. But what's so interesting about Judah's story is that in the middle of Genesis, where you see all of Joseph's story from chapter 38 to 49, or 37 to 49, in chapter 38, out of nowhere, in the middle, intermission is about Judah's story. And I wish I could say it was about Judah being the perfect person, but it was about Judah failing, Judah sinning, being imperfect. But at the end of the chapter, he repents. But here's the thing. In the rest of the book, up until chapter 49, we don't see Judah's name. We don't see what happens and how he's developed. But Judah absolutely was developed. We just don't see it. See, here's the thing. I know some of you feel unseen. I know some of you have come into this room and you're like, man, my boss doesn't see me. My spouse, who I love, I feel like doesn't see me. My kids don't see me. My friend group doesn't see me. I'm serving at church and I feel like no one sees me. And I know you might be in a season where you feel unseen,
but know that if man maybe doesn't see you, God still sees you. God still notices. He sees every tear. He sees every sacrifice. He sees every moment that you're serving. He sees every moment that you are trying to make things work in that relationship or in that friendship or trying to be the best employee that you can be. He sees it, even if man doesn't. What we have to understand is oftentimes in the unseen is where God wants to develop us. See, how many of you know what this item is right here? Anybody? Polaroid, come on. Somebody say, Polaroid. Thank you. It's a Polaroid. My son had something similar to this the other day and he was like, dad, I took the picture, but I don't see the screen. How do I know what I took? And I was like, buddy, you may not see the picture, but trust me, you just took a picture. Y'all mind if I take a picture real quick? All right, let's see. So I can remember today. Come on, let's see. Let's see what turns on.
Come on, somebody. All right. I will say this. This is not gonna go on social media, so don't feel bad if you're in the picture or not, okay? All right, let's see. Hey, come on. Let's go. See, oftentimes we don't realize that in the unseen moments, God is moving. See, in the unseen moments, God is developing. I think some of us see the unseen moment. We see that God is moving, but then when we look at the product of the movement, we see nothing. And because we see nothing, what we try to do is take matter into our own hands, right? We try to shake it, like a Polaroid picture. We try to rush the process. And recently, studies have shown that when you actually shake it and move it out of its environment, you're actually distorting the development. See, God wants to develop you, but in his timing. What if I told you you're unseen? Seen moment and your unseen season is the exact season you need to be developed You may not see it yet, but I promise you it's being developed You just need to continue to have patience continue to know that god's got your back Continue to know that even if man doesn't see it and you're in the unseen season you are being developed God's got you
Because god develops before he displays Is See judah Though 10 chapters we don't hear about him What we do see Is that he was being developed? We just couldn't see it but when time came for him to show his growth in private in public He was obedient See joseph fast forward joseph goes through a lot. Don't get me wrong. I love joseph. This is not a hater message on joseph joseph Ends up being second command in egypt And he sees his brothers again And when he sees his brother brothers, he wonders do they even recognize me and have they even grown? And he pretty much sets up something for them to see if they've grown by him Pretty much implementing something where now something got stolen and then their youngest brother benjamin who was even younger than joseph is framed And joseph says hey His life is our is is going to be taken and judah out of all the other brothers judah decides to say hey Take my life instead See 10 chapters ago judah was willing to kill a brother 10 chapters later he was willing to die for his brother see judah behind the scenes Nobody saw we don't read it, but judah grew and when tested and seen Not only did it catch the attention of joseph. Not only did it catch the attention of his father But it caught the attention of god And what we look at in chapter 49 of genesis is the product of judah being able to work
Even in the unseen Because in chapter 49 verse 10, it says the scepter will not depart from judah Know the ruler staffed from his descendants until the coming of the one to whom it belongs the one whom all nations will honor To give you context judah gets The lineage that will one day be jesus Not joseph So yeah, joseph was man's favorite But judah's faithfulness is what led to eventually david david and goliath and eventually jesus See, here's the thing judah. Isn't the obvious choice? He failed He sinned he made mistakes, but somewhere in private his heart changed See while everyone celebrated joseph god was shaping judah while everyone admired the coat God was preparing the crown that would come from judah's lineage to jesus while everyone was looking at egypt God saw judah and knew the lineage would go through bethlehem See though we may not see it God sees it and though man may not see you god sees you and in this season if you feel unseen if you feel rejected Know that god's silence is not his absence. He sees you. He loves you. He's for you He wants the best for you We just have to be obedient in what he gives us See my last point is this see beyond the silence tell the person next to you see beyond the silence I think some of us Not only feel like Man has overlooked us But I think if we're really being transparent I think some of us in this room feel like god has even overlooked us I think some of us feel like man
I can't relate to joseph or judah They got the blessing. I don't see the blessing happening in my life But we have The ability to look throughout the whole bible and see what happens next joseph didn't See joseph could have easily quit when he was enslaved could have easily quit when he was in prison He could have easily said, you know, what maybe was that taco that I ate and that dream wasn't real But he didn't give up See judah could have easily said you know what i'm not the favorite i'm fourth in line in the lineage i've messed up I've sinned it's just easier to quit. It's easier to just give up But they didn't, they remained faithful even in the moments of silence. See here's the thing, you may not see your end result. We may not be able to see our life and how our life ends, but what we do see is the promises in this Bible that though maybe life is hard, though you're going through a crisis, though you're going through a hurt, though things do not make sense, know that God has you. As long as you have breath in your lungs, God sees you, he's for you. Your story is not over yet. Don't give up. Don't quit. God has you. But the question is, do you see God? Because God definitely sees you. And remember that even in the silence, God is not absent. He's there for you. He loves you. See I was with my son the other day, and on Mondays and Wednesdays I'd watch him by myself. Cool. But sometimes it gets stressful, especially weeks like this where I'm trying to sermon prep and then I got to put my son down for a nap. I remember wanting to sermon prep, but I'm like, all right, he needs to take a nap.
Make his milk. I take him up the stairs. I'm like, man, it kind of feels like a burden right now. And as I'm starting to walk down, I feel the conviction of like, hey, I know you feel like it's a burden right now, but come August when both of your boys go to school, you know you're going to miss them. And here's the thing. What you see as a burden, God sees as a blessing. What you see as mundane, God sees as a miracle. What you see as a crisis might be the very thing that leads you even closer to Christ. I know things may be hard. I know things are tough, but what if we changed our perspective and realized that maybe we felt like God was silent, but all along he was moving. See the disciples, I can imagine them walking with Christ and looking at Jesus's life, all the sacrifice, all the moments where they fought for Jesus, all the moments where maybe it felt unseen, but they were like, you know what? There's going to be a movement and God is going to move. And then I can imagine them seeing Jesus about to be crucified, feeling like, why? Why did this have to happen? I can imagine on that Friday of Jesus being crucified, them having questions, feeling that like that Friday was a failure. Feeling that like that Saturday was silence and not understanding that, yeah, maybe Friday felt like a failure. Maybe your Saturday felt like there was silence and God didn't hear from you. But then there's Sunday, but then there's resurrection, then there's miracle, then there's breakthrough, then there's promise, then there's God seeing you, then there's God saying, hey, I got you. Though your Friday may not make sense, though your Saturday may not make sense, I promise you, don't give up. Your miracle is on the way because we serve a God of the miraculous.
Look around you, we're living in a miracle. God has you, he loves you, and he's for you. We just have to see it. God sees you regardless of whatever row you're sitting in, regardless of your standing right now. God sees you, he wants you, but the question I have for you today is, do you want him and do you see his perspective? Let's pray. Father, we just come before you, Lord, thank you for what you're doing throughout this church. Lord, thank you for what you're doing through every single person in this room. Lord, I pray that you remind us that you see all the heartache, you see all the pain, you see all the suffering, you see all the questions, you see that breakup, you see that hurt. Lord, I pray that we would be reminded that though there might be moments where we feel like there's silence, that you still see us, that you're still for us, that you still love us. And Lord, I pray that if our perspective needed to change today, that we would be obedient to that change in perspective. So thank you, God, for what you're doing right now, but Lord, I pray that you would continue to move in our life and we would see you every step of the way. In Jesus' name, amen, amen, amen. Can we clap it up? I do want to do another prayer, if all of you would stand with me today. I think there's some people in the room today, maybe you needed a perspective change, or maybe you are in that season of feeling unseen. But maybe something today resonated with you, and you came to the conclusion that you've tried all of these different things, but you see it now. You see the need for Jesus. You see the need to have an authentic relationship with Jesus, and not just try to do things our own way, but finally doing it God's way.
So if today you're ready, if you're ready to accept him into your heart and for your life to never be the same again, with nobody moving in this moment, but being obedient to what God wants to do, if everybody would close their eyes and bow their heads, that's you today. On the count of three, you're going to raise your hand. Don't miss your moment, don't worry about the person next to you, because God sees you right now. On the count of three, one, again, don't worry about the person next to you, two, this is your moment, three. If you want to accept Christ, raise your hand, raise your hand. I see that hand, I see that hand, I see those hands, I see that hand, I see all of those hands. Amen. Can we clap it up for all of those hands? Amen, amen, amen. If you rose your hand, or even if you didn't, you guys would pray after me. Father God, today's the day that I accept you, that I finally see it, that you've been there. Lord, today I turn away from sin, I turn away from my own ambition, and I turn towards you. I turn towards your purpose. In Jesus' name, amen, amen, amen. Can we give it up for Jesus? Amen, amen. If you rose your hand, we want to continue to walk with you. Don't miss your moment. We have a QR code, I believe that's going to pop up on the screen. Listen, if you were someone who decided to give your life to Jesus, we are so happy for you. You just made the best choice of your life. The best, absolutely.
The best decision you'll ever make. We're a testament of that. Yeah, absolutely. I don't think I've ever met someone who has regretted giving their life to Jesus. I don't know, not one. Go ahead and comment, I've come home, in the chat, so we know, we can celebrate with you, but we don't want you to walk this out alone. All I'm going to ask you to do is scan that QR code below. I personally am going to be the one to call you. That's right. I would love to hear what that moment was like for you, but I'd also love to pray with you and send you some additional resources as you start your new relationship with Jesus. That's right. And can we get into the message? Yeah. Okay. It was so good, just the fact of how, you know, Pastor was talking about being seen and also the people who are unseen, but the Lord always sees you. He sees every struggle, every burden, everything that you're going through. And the fact that you can call on your Lord is such a beautiful thing. That's right. And I just felt like that was so good. So just know that you are seen and that God sees you, and we see you too. That's right. Yeah, such a good message. And if you want to go back and listen to it, where can they watch it at? YouTube. Come on. Hit the bell on the bottom or the top or, you know, you know what I'm saying, people. And then another way you can get connected is through our Journey Church app.
My goodness, you could go back and look at prayer service that we were talking about with you guys earlier. Right, we did that firework last time. And you guys can also look at all the things happening with Journey. You know, we have some upcoming events, right? We also have our After Talk podcast that you can watch on our YouTube channel as well because we're going to have Pastor James come back and expand on his word. Exactly. And we're going to have him sit with our beautiful, amazing, wonderful, anointed Journey College Director. So make sure you tune in because this episode is going to be super fun. But maybe you're wondering, okay, well, I hear him. I hear that he wants us to see people too, not just that we're unseen, but that we need to see people. And I want to step into the purpose and calling God has given me, but I don't know how to do it. Right. We made it super easy for you with something called Next Steps. That's right. Next Steps is the place to be if you want to learn all about Journey Church, how we operate, what we believe in, but most importantly, for you to discover your God-given gifts. So make sure you scan the QR code below or go to journeyoral.com slash nextsteps to take it anytime online. Yeah. So good. Hey, man, another way that you guys can get connected is by your generosity. If you guys want to give, if you want to partner with us in giving, be a part of the Culture Conference, all the things that we're doing here at Journey, the baptives and all of the things, you could do that by scanning that QR code below and give. And however on your heart you want to give, we are more than happy to be able to partner
with you in that. So you can do that as well. Well, thank you guys so much for tuning in to a Sunday service. We hope you feel encouraged and closer to God than ever before. Make sure you stay connected with us. throughout the week. And we cannot wait to see you next Monday for our I think our last week of summer at journey out here. So make sure you come bring a 10 bring a water bottle and have a good time. All right, guys. Bye everyone. Transcribed by https://otter.ai
