Robin's Story
""Every time I promised God something, I would choose to run from it. Now, looking back at my life, I've found He was always behind me with His arms reaching out saying, 'I'll help you.' I got married at a young age and as my family grew, we started doing drugs. When I was 54, I was put in prison and that's when my whole life started to come back to me. I broke down and began to pray to God - I felt such a weight lifted off of my shoulders. It was a feeling I had never experienced before. When I was in prison, it was just God, my Bible, and myself. In that time, I grew closer to God, wrote a book, and was introduced to Central through God Behind Bars. When I finally got out, my wife and I started attending Central regularly. We signed up for First & Second Step and joined a group. If you ever feel there is a voice behind you telling you to stop - it's the voice of God. Don't ignore it. Don't run from it. Just accept it, embrace it, and have an open heart for what God can do for you.""
