Rich in the Wrong Things

All right, well, I am so, so excited to be back with you this morning. I was on vacation the last couple of weeks, and it is just great to be back. I mean, there is no place like home, right? And I missed you all so deeply, but I am so, so grateful to pick up and continue in our book of Hebrew study that we are doing. Pastor Paul kicked it off last week. Didn't he do such a great job with that message, kicking us off in the book of Hebrews? It is such a great, great day to be with you this morning. I want to look in the camera now and give a special welcome to the men and women watching from a correctional facility behind bars. I love you guys. I pray for you guys often. Calvary Church, can we give them just one big welcome today before we jump in? We love you guys. We see you guys. God has great things for you. And let me just pick up on what Daniel just said right there. Today is that last day to sign up for Serve Day. And if you have never been a part of a Serve Day, think of a one-day missions trip. So all four projects, one day we are going out, we are serving the hands and feet of Jesus all over our community. Three of those four projects are already filled up in spots, but the Dream Center is still open. So that's like a one-day missions trip to Kensington. And how many know Kensington needs Jesus, right? And how cool is it that we get to be a part of that? And so today is that last day to sign up. So make sure that you sign up so we can register you, have the bus reserved for you. It's going to be an amazing, amazing day. Hey, many people are not wired for outreach, but there is one time a year where I call

all of our church to serve together, and that is Serve Day. And so, especially if you are new to the church and not serving, this is an awesome opportunity to jump in, meet some people, and make a difference together. And then tomorrow, Calvary Church, we have 43 students heading to summer camp for teen camp. They are going to have an unforgettable week. Give yourselves a round of applause because your tithing and your World Changer dollars helped to fund camp. We took $150 off the cost of camp for every single teenager just because we wanted kids at camp this summer. And so I wanted to just thank you so much for being a generous, generous church, all right? Hebrews chapter 3, if you have your Bibles, Hebrews chapter 3, verses 7 through 12, here's what it says. So as the Holy Spirit says, today if you hear His voice, Calvary Church, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion. During the time of testing in the wilderness, where your ancestors tested and tried me, though for 40 years they saw what I did. This is why I was angry with that generation. I said, their hearts have always gone astray and they have not known my ways. So I declared an oath in my anger that they shall never enter my rest. See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. This summer, we're walking through the book of Hebrews. We're studying the book of Hebrews for July and August. And the theme that I've established for the book of Hebrews is this, is that Jesus is better. Come on, is anyone thankful today that Jesus is better? Come on, He's better than any angel. He's better than Moses, even the prophet.

He's better than the old covenant, better than anything we could ever have or garner or have or anything we could ever place our confidence in. But Hebrews 3 is giving us a warning today. It reminds us of the people of Israel, a generation that saw miracle after miracle, open door after open door. They watched God literally split the Red Sea. They ate manna from heaven. They drank water from a rock. They saw God's faithfulness every single day, yet somehow in their heart of hearts, they still didn't trust God. Did you notice what the writer of Hebrews said? It didn't say that they had a miracle problem. It didn't say that they had a resource problem. It didn't say that they had a leadership problem. It says that they had a heart problem. It says that they had a heart problem. And I think one of the greatest battlegrounds of trust in our life, dealing with our hearts is the topic of money. Because the Bible says that where your treasure is, there your, shout it out if you know it, there your heart is also. And so today I'm preaching on one of the most requested topics to be preached on. Oh, I know you might not have requested it, but your Connect Card prayer requests say them. As I look through these past couple of weeks, one in every three prayer requests that's on our Connect Card is dealing with job issues or financial issues. How many know this is a big topic that we need to cover, right? Jesus says these words in Luke 16, 9 through 3. He says these words. I say to you, make friends for yourself by unrighteous mammon. And so he's going to use this word, this word mammon, three times in this single text. So watch this.

He says, so that when you fail, and that word fail is the same word for die. He says, so that when you fail, we make a bunch of friends. In other words, you've used your life, you've used your money, you've used your resources so that when you die one day, there's gonna be people in heaven because of your giving and you're gonna receive an everlasting home. But then he goes on and he says, he who is faithful in what is least is also faithful in much. So there's this stewardship issue that God is watching and he says, he who is unjust in what is least is unjust in much. So in other words, what he's saying, how you handle your money, how you handle your resources, it really matters. Therefore, if you have not been faithful with unrighteousness, second time, unrighteous mammon, in other words, if you don't figure this mammon thing out, how can God ever commit to you more stuff, more riches? In other words, how can you get more and more resources? How can you be responsible for more if you haven't stewarded what he first gave to you? Well, interesting line here is next. And if you've not been faithful in what is another man's. So in other words, you have some things that actually belong to someone else. So if you're not faithful in what belongs to someone else, what can be given to you that is your own? Again, same thought. If you're not responsible to handle more,

why would God give you more? And then he says these words, no servant can serve two masters. He ramps it up. He says, you're actually serving one of these two mindsets. You're serving one of these two beliefs in your head and in your heart. He says, for you will either hate the one and love the other, or you'll be loyal to the one and despise the other. Third time, God says it now. He says, you cannot serve both God and mammon. So really you have two choices and you're either serving one or you're serving the other. And the reason I just use the King James version in this particular version is other translations have actually substituted a different word in. And so if you were to look in the NIV or the NLT or the ESV, all good translations, I normally read from, it substitutes the words mammon there. And it says, you cannot serve both God and money. God and money. And money is capitalized in those translations, but he's not talking about money like a commodity. He's talking about money like a capital M, like the spirit behind money. And Jesus mentions this three times, the spirit, this word mammon, and he's saying, this is a big deal.

That word mammon derived from the Babylonian culture and the Babylonian culture was a culture known for their confusion. And I would dare to say this to you today, that whenever you have this spirit of mammon, check this out, there will be confusion in your life. And I would say, if you looked at our culture today, there's a lot of confusion in the area of money. There's confusion there. That's why the number one cause of divorce in America is money. Cause that's where the fights come, in the area of money. That's why the number one thing you're gonna hear out of Washington, DC, is they're always fighting about money. How to get it, how to spend it, and they're confused. If you don't believe me that they're confused with what to do with the money, I will prove this to you on a personal level today, okay? Let's just say, it would be like, we made $50,000 a year, but we spend $80,000 a year, excuse me, and then we borrow from our friend $200,000 a year every single year. Now, who in the world think that's gonna work with your personal finances, right? It won't, but that's what our government does, year after year after year. How many know there's some confusion in the area of our money in our government? Mammon is really the spirits of the devil.

Jesus calls him the thief, why? Because the thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy. And if you buy into this mindset, the mindset of mammon, how many know you're gonna be confused? You ready for this? I'll take it even one step further today. The Antichrist, at the end of time, will use the spirit of mammon. When the Antichrist, in the book of Revelation, tries to threaten people, he will not try to threaten people with nuclear war and death. He will threaten people with this thought, you're not gonna be able to buy or sell, so you better take that mark of the beast, you better take that image upon you, or you're gonna starve to death. You're not gonna have resources, you're not gonna have money, you're not gonna know what to do. Here, I'll prove it to you one more way that there's confusion in this area of money. There's a book called, The Day That America Told The Truth. And two authors wrote this book, and they did a bunch of research, and they asked this question, what would you be willing to do to receive $10 million? Here is America's response. Check these responses out, they are alarming. 25% of people, for $10 million, would abandon their entire family.

23% of people, for $10 million, would become a prostitute for a week or more. 16% would give up their American citizenship for $10 million. 10% would withhold testimony, letting a murderer go totally free. 7% would give up their life for $10 million. would kill a stranger. I'd just say run for your life, all right? Watch out, Calvary Church. And 3% would put up their children for adoption. Some of you are thinking, man, I would have done that for free. You could have them after the morning I have with my kids, right? Listen to me, listen to me, listen to what I'm saying. Money has a spirit on it. Money is never neutral. It either has God's spirit on it and God's blessing on it and God's hand on it, or it has mammon's spirit on it, but it is never neutral. And when it has God's spirit on it and God's hand on it, and it's submitted to God and used for the purposes of God, it can make a great kingdom impact for your life and the life of others. It says, God, you're number one in my life. Mammon lies. Mammon will always give you these false lies and these false promises. I could give you 20 today.

I'll just give you the top three. Number one is this, if you're taking notes, the first lie that mammon or money provides is this. If I make more money and I have more mammon, I'll finally be secure. I'll finally feel secure. In fact, I'm gonna insulate myself from all of my problems if I just get a lot of it. We even have this word in our culture today. We say for people that have made a lot of money and are in a good place, they are financially what? They're financially secure, financially secure. Proverbs 18, 11 describes it this way. It says the wealth of the rich is their fortified city. Notice I emphasize the word there. In other words, like it's their fortified city. I'm gonna protect myself. So I'm gonna garner a bunch of resources and a bunch of wealth and I'm gonna protect myself. It's my fortification. I just need to tell you today, I do not trust in myself. I am not that smart. Me and me is weak and you and you is weak. I don't wanna trust in my own fortification. Come on, someone. I want God to be my fortification. I want God to be my protector. I want God to be my source and strength. Someone say amen to that. But the wealthy say, no, no, no.

I'm gonna figure out a way to protect myself with money and they only imagine it because it's not true. In fact, if it were true, let me ask you this question. How much money would you need to make to finally be secure so that no matter what bad thing happens to you, you'll be okay? And the answer is, that's not true. That's not true. There's always something that could happen that will require more resources than you currently have. And we've gotta be careful of letting money become our security. Look at what Hebrews 13 says. It says, keep your lives free from it then. Not for money. It's okay to have money. It's okay to have stuff. It's just not okay when stuff has you. Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have because God says, let me be your fortification. Let me be the one that's protecting you. Never will I leave you nor forsake you. So I can say with confidence this morning, listen to me, not me as my provider, not my employer as my provider, not the government as my provider. Come on, someone. The Lord is my provider. The Lord is my helper and I will not be afraid.

What can mere mortal man do for me? Oh, come on, someone. If God be for me, then who can be against me? Someone say amen right there. Here's the second lie. The second lie is this. Watch this one. And that is money will make me feel significant. Money will make me feel significant. So we wrap our entire identity into our possessions, into our cars, into our clothing, into our gadgets. And we think if I just had a better car, people would respect me more. If I just had what I saw that person wear on Instagram, if I just bought that right now, I will finally be respected more. And we let our stuff define us. And listen to me, listen to me today. You cannot be defined by your things. And you can't look to those things to give you your soul significance or identity. Jesus says these words in Luke 12. Beware Calvary Church. Watch out. Don't do that. Guard against every single kind of greed. Life is not measured by how much stuff you own. And that's a lie. Because the enemy's trying to get you to trust it instead of trusting God.

Here's the third one. And that is a lie that all of us have heard. It's a lie that's been whispered in my ears many, many a time. And the lie is this. Money will make you happy. Money will make you happy. And if that were true, the richest people in the world, the celebrities and the athletes will be the happiest people in the world. But Jim Carrey says these words. He says, I wish that everyone could be rich and famous so they could see that money does not bring happiness. You know what money brings? When you reach a certain tier of a certain level that you thought is finally the amount of money that you would make and you thought that you'd be happy. You know what it just brings? More of a desire to make more. More of a desire to go after more. If I finally make this amount of money, then I'll finally be happy. And you make that amount of money and you realize it doesn't bring happiness, rather this pursuit of going even after more. I remember, I still remember to this day. Years ago, I watched the Shark Tank. Anyone ever seen Shark Tank before? And there used to be a shark. on that show named Robert Herjavec,

and he actually made this statement on one episode. He was trying to motivate the entrepreneur to work harder. And I believe he was trying to encourage this entrepreneur in the business that he had, but he just needed to grind a little bit harder. He just needed to work a little bit harder. And he said to him, look, man, I'm a billionaire. And I only sleep three hours a night because I have to get back to the office every single day because I have to keep building my business. I have to keep making more money. And I thought, what a miserable life to live right there. Now, I am all for working hard. I'm all for building things and trying to do things well to the best of our ability. Come on, Calvary Church, we should work hard if we have a job, right? We should be faithful. But come on, that man is missing out on one of the most wonderful blessings of God, seven and a half to eight hours of sleep every single night. Come on, someone right there. And I just thought, what a miserable life to live. Why? This man has found himself just in this pursuit of more and more. He's a billionaire, but it's still not enough for him. And it's created this appetite that if I finally get more money, I'll finally be happy.

And it's this constant chasing for more. Again, God's not saying you can't have money. He's just saying, don't let it have you. You wanna be happy today? I'll tell you the secret to happiness. Happy are those whose sins are forgiven. Come on, someone. Happy are those whose debt has been paid in full. The happiest people I know are not the people with the most amount of money, but the people that say, you know what? I know Jesus and he knows me and I have a walk with Jesus and I'm serving Jesus and I'm telling other people about Jesus and I'm going to heaven, somebody. Come on, those are the happiest people that I know. Come on, just thank the Lord for two seconds that you are a son or a daughter of the most high and whom the son is set free is free indeed. Those are the happiest people. To know that this life is not all that there is, that one day we're going to heaven and we'll be with Jesus with no more weeping, no more hurting, no more pain, no more sickness, no more cancer or diabetes, no more financial struggles. We'll be walking on streets of gold worshiping our Lord and Savior. Happy are those that know Jesus. And so the question is then, how do we get God's spirit on money?

How do we get God's hand on money? How do we get God's blessing on money? And if you haven't heard it already, just kind of in the sound and the tone of my voice this morning, I'm going to probably preach it to you more bold than maybe I would have a couple of years ago. I was praying over this message the last couple of weeks before heading on vacation and prepping for it. And I felt the Holy Spirit just kind of quick within me, this holy boldness to say, Pastor Dan, they need to hear the truth. Come on and preach the truth to them. And so guys, I'm just going to tell you what the Bible says. Are we all okay with what the Bible says this morning in regards to our money? All right, you said yes, here we go, all right. And listen to me, listen to me. I'm leading this morning from this posture. I hope that you could see this in the last two years of being your lead pastor and 13 years almost of serving here as one of the pastors on staff before that. I hope you can hear me this morning to say, I am not standing in front of you, pleaing with you to give this morning because we need money. We're not in that space as a church, actually. I'm not standing before you saying, hey, we can't pay the electric bill today if somebody doesn't give. I'm not standing before you today to say, if you don't give,

we can't make serve day happen this weekend. No, no, God has blessed us, Calvary Church. God has blessed us. In fact, I'll actually say this to you. In 2019, the founding pastor of our church, Pastor Paul Jackson, I was sitting at a board meeting with him and the Lord had laid it on his heart to make this decision to start actually tithing off of your tithe so that when you tithe, we would take 10% and we'd put this in this pot called World Changers, which is mission. So we already have two funds. We have the general fund here at the church and then we have the World Changers fund. And so anything you ever give to World Changers, it just goes to World Changers. We don't administrate any cost or fee on it for ourselves. It just all goes to missionaries. It just all goes to church planners. But he just felt the Lord's stirred in his heart to take 10% off our general fund because we believe so much in this principle of tithing, place it in the World Changers fund and see more people locally and globally and more future Christian leaders raised up, not keep it for our church. And I'm telling you, ever since that decision is made, you can look back to that date. The Lord has blessed us exponentially here at Calvary Church.

The Lord has taken care of us. And so I'm not standing in front of you today in this place of lack or this place of need, but I do want the spirit broken off of your life. And I hope you can hear me say this at the heart of love this morning, that I want far more for you as your pastor than I want from you. But I do want you to walk in the blessing of following what God's word says. Here's what his word says in Malachi chapter three. I the Lord do not change. So he's the same yesterday, today, and forever. Now the practices from the Old Testament to new change, but the character and the principles and the nature of God never change. And the principles of the Old Testament still run through the New Testament. They're just different in practice. They're different in practice. So I the Lord do not change. Though the principles are still there. Ever since the time of your ancestors, you have turned away from my decrees and have not kept them. In other words, you think there's a better way to do them, and God is passionately pleading with them. He's saying, return to me, and I will return to you, says the Lord Almighty. In other words, try my way and see if it works, because it will. But you're to ask, how are we to return? Will a mere mortal rob God, yet you rob me?

He said, how are we robbing you, God? He says, in tithes and offerings. You're under the curse, there's that word, the curse of mammon. You're under that stronghold, you whole nation, because you're robbing me. Then he says, verse 10, bring the whole tithe, that's the 10th part. Bring 10% into the storehouse, that is the place where you worship, that there may be food in my house. This is the only place in the Bible where God says these next words. There's actually places in the Bible where he says not to test them, but in this place he says, test me in these things, and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing on you, there will not even be enough room to store it. Verse 11, I'll prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it's ripe, says the Lord Almighty. Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be delightful, says the Lord. Three things to do if you're taking notes, and I sure hope you are. Number one is this, number one, if you want God's blessing on your money, if you want God's hand on your money, number one, you've got to return the first to him. You've got to return the first to him. I'm just telling it to you like I believe it. I'm just telling it to you like I practice, that my wife and I, we practice the biblical principle of tithing in our personal finances. I just share with you, we as a church practice on your finances that you give to the church the biblical principle of tithing. I'm telling you, I honor my parents today for instilling this in us. My mom is actually here, she's visiting today. She's on the front row with us, and I honor my mom and my dad for instilling that principle into us. That when we received $10 for our birthday when we were little kids, they said, you better break that $10.

You better take $1, and it goes to the local church, and they instilled that into us. And so I stand before you today, and I can say with confidence, I have seen God's blessing and God's provision in my life. I hear remarks like this when I preach on this topic, often two different thoughts from people. The first I hear from people is, Pastor Dan, keep preaching it, love it. I don't know how God does it, but He multiplies the 90 more than I ever could with the 100 itself, and I have seen God bless me in this area when it comes to the tithe. And if you are here, and if you've ever tithed for any part of your life, and you've ever seen the blessing of God, could you just say amen to that today? Amen. Now listen, I didn't have a pre-meeting with those people before that, okay? These are people that have seen the hand and the provision of God. The second thing that I hear is, Pastor Dan, I can't afford to tithe. I can't afford to tithe. Let me say this so lovingly to you today, you can't afford not to tithe. You will never be able to tithe until you actually take that step of faith to start tithing, because tithing breaks the stronghold of mammon. It breaks the stronghold of the devil, and it releases the blessing of God in your own life. Place them first. Place them first. Place them first. You made a really wise decision today at the first of your week being in church. Even though you might not feel any different as you walk out of this place today, there's something about honoring the Sabbath and saying, God, before I go back to work, before we go on vacation, before we take that trip in the summer, God, you're first, you get the first of my day, you get the first of my week. We do that as a church. That's why we do 21 days of prayer and fasting in January, because we believe God at the

front of the year, we're placing you first, so we're pushing the plate aside, we're leaning in with prayer, we're leaning in with fasting, we're leaning in with increased times of corporate prayer and worship and 6 a.m. prayer, because God, you get the first of our years. First Corinthians 16, verse 2, on the first day of every week, each of you should set aside a sum of money and keeping up with your income, saving it up, so that when I come, the writer is saying, no collections have to be made. In other words, I don't have to stand in the platform and plead with you and urge with you to give. You're already just being obedient to what the Bible says. Percentage giving. We all don't give the same amount, but there's all the same level of participation, and again, the number is 10%, and I didn't choose the number, God chose the number, and so we honor Him with that, and we're obedient to that, and I'm going to tell you, it works. If you've never taken a step of faith to try to tithe, I would challenge you, would you just try it for 90 days? Would you just try it for 90 days? July the 12th is today, would you start today and go through October 12th and watch how God blesses your life as you take that step of faith? I'm just challenging you to a 90-day tithe challenge, and if God does not break through in any way in your life, blessing or peace or joy or something happening, a provision happening in your life, come talk to me. I'd love to talk to you about that after the fact, but I'm telling you, I've seen time and time again as people take this challenge, as they step out in faith, God provides every Here's the second principle. You not only give the first. Number two, this is the fun one. You ready? You gotta steward the rest. You gotta steward the rest. So it's not just giving the first. You gotta steward the 90% well. Jesus says whoever can be trusted with little can be put in charge of much. And so I just want you to understand this today. It's not just enough giving 10%. You've gotta get on a budget.

It's alarming to me that the statistic is that 90% of the American population does not live on a budget. Do you know what that is? That's like driving your car without any gauges on the dashboard. In other words, I don't know how fast I'm going. I don't know how much gas I have. I don't know if my tires are getting low with the pressure sensor. I don't know how many know if you drive without gauges on your dashboard, you're gonna end up on the side of the road on that car. That's gonna happen. And so we monitor it. We monitor our finances. We not only return the first, but we steward the rest well. Proverbs 21.5 says this, The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty. And if you don't know how to get on a budget and if you don't know how to get on a debt, that's why we push small groups so much here at Calvary Church. Because we have a small group called Financial Peace. It's with Dave Ramsey and it's phenomenal. We'd love to have leaders walk alongside of you and help you on this journey towards finding financial freedom. We're gonna have a couple offer for you this fall. And so you wanna take that next step and join Financial Peace. And then here's number three. Number three is this. I'm gonna give you the verse first and then the blank last, okay? Verse first, blank last. This is Luke chapter 12, 16 through 21. Jesus told this parable. He said, The ground of a certain rich man, watch this, it yielded an abundant harvest. So in other words, the rich man had more riches.

And he thought to himself, What am I doing with all the extra? I have no place to store all of my crops. Don't you just feel sorry for this guy? He just makes more money, he just keeps getting more. He's got no place to store everything. And then he said, I know what I'll do. I'll tear down all of my storage facilities. And I'm gonna build bigger barns. I wanna build bigger storage facilities for all of my surplus that I'm gonna have. And I'll say to myself, Self, you have plenty of good things laid out for many years. Now this is an interesting line because he erroneously thought that because he had more stuff that he would have more time. He says, I'm gonna take life easy. I'm gonna eat, I'm gonna drink, I'm gonna be merry. And God said to him, Watch out, you fool. By the way, God didn't call him a fool because he had a lot of money. God called him a fool because he did not know what to do with the extra. He says, This very night you're gonna die. Your life is gonna be demanded from you. And who's gonna get all of your stuff? In other words, not you. In fact, you don't even get to tell others what to do with your stuff. You're dead. I love what Ron Blue, the great financial planner, says. He says, Do your giving while you're living so you're knowing where it's going. And Jesus makes this incredible statement. And it breaks the power of mammon right off of you. He says these words, This is how it will be for anyone who stores up things for themselves

but is not rich towards God. Is not rich towards God. And that's point number three today. That's why you have to do the third thing. Write it down. You have to focus on true riches. You gotta focus on true riches. The ultimate reward of this life is not found in life. The ultimate reward of financial provision or stewardship or building a great legacy or having a great family is not found in this life. It's found in your life to come. In heaven. You can't take one bit of stuff with you after this life. But you know what you can take? You can take your life and you can take the life of those that God has used through your finances, through your giving, but also through your serving and also of your sharing of faith to get more people in heaven. Come on, I want to use my time. I want to use my energy. I want to use my resources. I want to use my story to get more people to heaven. Come on, is that your prayer today? That you want to see people go into heaven because you gave, because you serve? And that's what it's about. That we use our time, that we use our money, that we use our story to see lost people be saved so that they can be in heaven. That's the greatest riches you could ever experience in this life. To say my life is not only my own for what I get, but my life is given away to see one more person, no Jesus, no one without Jesus.

Close your eyes. I want to pray a blessing over you today. If you want to just receive it, just open up your hands before the Lord. Just at your seat, you can just turn them right over. Say, God, I break the lies of Mammon over the people of Calvary Church. No longer are we going to think that money can make us secure. No longer are we going to think that money will make us significant. No longer are we going to think that money will make us happy. No, we understand that all of it comes from you. And God, if you said to test you, then we're going to test you. We're going to take a step of faith that if we're not being obedient in this area of tithing, God, for the next 90 days, we're going to be intentional to place you first to return the first back to you. And God, I pray that you'd move in a mighty, mighty powerful way. Every head is bowed. Every eye is closed in this moment. I wonder today if you're maybe here and you're far from God, you don't know God, or maybe at one point you were really living for God. You were really following God, but you realize in this season you have not been fully walking with Him, fully following Him. I want to give you this opportunity, this chance today to join Jesus. Before we ever talk about what to do with your funds or your resources or your time, where's your heart at today? Where's your heart at? Do you know Jesus? The beautiful thing about our God is He says it very plainly, that if you declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, you believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. So I want to invite you today to join the greatest team you ever could, and that's Team Jesus.

Is that you today? Every head bowed, every eye is closed. Pray something with me like this, if this is you, meaning that say, Jesus, come into my life today. Change me from the inside out. I receive what you did on the cross. I ask you to forgive me from going my own way, and today I'm turning around. Say, God, I'm going to follow you. I surrender my life to you. Every part of my life is yours. Be the Lord of my life, and begin this work of changing me from the inside out. In Jesus' name we pray, and everyone said.
