Thank you for being a part of this YouTube family. As we bring you the Word of God every week, we livestream every Sunday. We drop a brand new sermon every Sunday night. I bring you fresh leadership content the first Wednesday of every month. And then every Friday we drop a worship song. So we're doing a lot over here on the City Light Vegas YouTube channel. And we're grateful that you're a part of it. Make sure you're liking and subscribing and hitting the notification bell. All the things so that you never miss a moment here at City Light Vegas. I love you so much and I'm so grateful for you. Thank you also for your financial support. Thank you for partnering with us. We are reaching the most unchurched city in the most unchurched state in our union. And I'm so grateful for your support as you help us bring the gospel to Las Vegas, Nevada. I love you and let's jump into the Word of God. Let's start at verse three because that's where we were at last week. So let me just give you a little bit of this. Ezekiel's in a valley. It's covered in bones. God's thinking these bones live. Can I bring life into a dead situation? Can I bring restoration revival? Can I bring resurrection power to a dead place in your life? Can these bones live again? He said, "Sobber, Lord, you alone know." Then he said to me, "Propheside of these bones and say to them, 'Dry bones hear the Word of the Lord.'" This is what the sovereign Lord says to these bones.
"I will make breath, enter you, and you will come to life." I will attach tenants to you and make your flesh come upon you. I cover you with skin. I will put breath in you and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord. Now watch verse seven. This is so powerful. So I prophesied as I was commanded. Let me just explain that to you. Here's what Ezekiel just said. So I said what I heard in verse five and six. Don't overthink prophecy. Don't overthink speaking God's Word. Don't overthink prayer. It's just repeating what God has already said. You're not saying anything new. You're saying something very old with fresh faith. Yeah, so I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a sound, a rattling sound. And the bones came together, bone to bone. Verse seven. So I prophesied as I was commanded. I want to talk about prophesy in the valley. How to speak when you're in a valley. Help us, Lord, to prophesy in our valley in the name of Jesus. And the church said, amen. And amen. One more time. Let's clap our hands and celebrate the Lord today. So I prophesied as I was commanded.
I said what God said. This is the key to spiritual growth, spiritual maturity, and spiritual freedom to get God's Word in your mouth. That what can happen in a moment can only be sustained through new language. All right, let me say that one more time. I know it's raining outside. That what happens in a moment called salvation, deliverance, or healing, whatever that is, baptism in the Holy Spirit. You have a God encounter. It's powerful. It's, but it can only be sustained through new spiritual language. That you have to, once you have a supernatural touch of God, which I believe in and I'm all about, but they can only be sustained through God's Word being hidden in your heart. Hear me. It's very hard to be wrong when you're quoting God. You have to learn how to get God's Word in your mouth, God's Word in your confession, that you begin to see your life and speak to your life through the truth of God's Word, not just how you feel and not just by what's going on around you, but you now get God's Word in you and it begins to change everything around you. My wife and I have a daughter, Goldie. She's just about to turn 10, but from about four years old to eight years old, she was in speech therapy and she had an amazing speech therapist. She's actually in our church. Her name is Kim Koch. She's awesome. She's incredible. Would be a gift to your child if your child needs help in that area. Goldie had a very severe stutter and then she also couldn't say a lot of letters and a lot of words. And so Kim worked her through all that, but what was important is that Kim would tell me, "Okay, Jabin, I'm going to teach her things for an hour, but you're going to have to reinforce it at home."
brain whenever she says certain words. So instead of remember, she would say "ba member." And instead of computers, she'd say "p-euter" and on and on. She would say all these different things. And we had to gently bring correction what that would happen. And here's what Kim said, "It's cute now." And it won't be cute when she has to spell remember one day and starts be, "aye, that's not going to be cute." It's not going to be cute when she has to spell computer but starts with a p-e. That's not going to be cute anymore and it's going to limit her. So you're going to have to help correct and retrain her brain at a young age so that when it's time to read and write and it's time to mature, she has the right words and the right language. And so as her father, I had to teach her how to talk so that it would affect positively the rest of her life. And I just want you to know you have a good heavenly father that wants to teach you how to talk, teach you how to pray, teach you how to praise, teach you how to walk with the Lord. Because if you don't get your talk right, you'll never get your walk right. If you don't get your talk right, you'll never get your life right. You can't speak curse and expect victory. You can't speak defeat and expect blessing. You can't speak death over your life and expect life. So God has to change your belief and he has to change your words. And if God can change your words, it'll change your life. Okay. So how do I come into agreement with God? How do I prophesy? How do I speak God's word into my life? Number one, you have to know God's word.
Very deep. I know. Very deep. You've got to know God's word. To know the word, you must read the word. Heavy, heavy, I know. That's why I'm the pastor, guys. This is impressive stuff right now. You can't know the word that you don't read. To know God's will, you have to know God's word because God's word is God's will. So if I'm ever going to know God's will for my life, it starts in the word. Before you start praying about what job to take and what city to live in and who to marry, you're too far down to the thing. First you just have to know what is God's will? What is God's word? What does God say? Roman Sten says, and what does it say? What a beautiful question. And what does it say? Everything in your life should go through the lens of what does the Bible say? What does it say about life? What does it say about marriage? What does it say about relationships? What does it say about money? What does it say about prayer? What does it say about friendship? What does the Bible say? Start there, start with what you do know, start with what's already been written. You never have to pray about what God's already said. So start there, and that will make about 99% of your life incredibly clear, incredibly
clear. You'll actually stop praying for so much, and you'll start thanking God for a lot more. Because you already know the foundation of your life. What does the word say? I have hidden, what's its past tense? I've hidden your word in my heart. I've done it. Why? Because there's going to be day I'm going to be tempted to sin. I might not be tempted today. It's Sunday. It's the Lord's day. God is good. Raiders are going to win. But God is right. Okay, watch this. Watch this. But there may be a day that I'm going to be tempted to sin. So I'm hiding God's word in my heart now when seemingly I don't need it. Seemingly I don't feel like I need it. But I'm hiding it now because there's going to be a day I do need it. Today I'm healthy, but sickness might attack me, so I need God's word. Right now I'm not tempted, but I may be tempted. My marriage is doing great, but maybe it won't be doing great. Financially strong, but maybe one day I'm going to have to face a storm. So I'm hiding, I'm preparing my heart, and I'm feeding on God's word. So when there's a day that I might turn against the Lord, sin against the Lord, complain against the Lord, fight against the Lord. I have God's word in me that is creating a protective barrier in my soul. So when the devil knocks on my door, I have a sword in my hand and in my mouth to say,
"What the heavens offer my property," come on somebody. When Satan tempted Jesus, Jesus said, "It is written," and for every temptation there was an "it is written," and for every temptation in your life there is an "it is written" in the Word that will get you through loneliness, that will get you through grief, that will get you through sickness, that will get you through pain. bondage, that'll get you through fear. Come on. I've hidden God's Word in my heart. You've got to hide it. You've got to esteem it. You've got to treasure it. The Bible said that Mary treasured the words of the angel in her heart. She treasured it. Only two percent of Americans will ever read the Bible all the way through, but only five percent of pastors. Hear me, friend, four chapters a day, and you'll read the Word in one year. Four chapters a day, and it'll change your life. It'll be October 27, October, excuse me, October 11, 2027, and you won't recognize yourself. Four chapters a day, and it wasn't you as the Word in you. That's too long. Read eight chapters a day. Do it in six months. That's still too long. Don't get crazy. Just see, God will not love you more if you read the Bible. You'll love God or if you read the Bible. No word, no love, no word, no soft heart, no word. That's why some of y'all are so spiritually hard against the Lord. Everything's just so in your head. Everything's so cold. Come on, everybody, lift up your hands. It's like, you know, I'm gonna put my hands in my pocket. Well, what is that? Come on, say, man, we're going to give people an opportunity to give only if you want to. This guy just wants my money. Where's all that coming from? I'll tell you where it's coming from. You got no relationship with the Word. And so what happens is everything becomes natural and carnal. And there's no spiritual touch on your life. Hebrews 5 talks about this, that by reason of use, you can begin to mature in the things of God, by reason of use. If you don't use it, you lose it. You got to pray. You got to be in the Word. You got to serve. You got to be in community. You got because the more you do it, by reason of use, you get better at it. You become skillful at the things of God, literally, that when the Spirit of God begins to move, you're aware of His presence and aware of His touch and aware of His anointing, because as you get in the Word, it begins to change your life. Abide in me as I in you. As a branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine and eats the roots, neither can you unless you abide in me. If you got a fruit tree at your house, you should do that today. You should go home and just cut off a branch and throw it on the floor. And watch that thing over the next few months and years.
And you're going to do nothing. Because once you separate from the source, you've got no hope. And it's on you as a believer to abide, to stay connected to, to stay close to, to remain in. And that begins in the Word of God. Look what happens to people. This is an amazing study that came out a few years ago. People who read the Bible four times a week, they have a 30% less chance of struggling with loneliness, 32% less chance of experiencing anger issues, 40% less marriage issues than their peers, 57% less likely to get drunk, 59% less likely to look at pornography, 228% more likely to share your faith, 231% more likely to disciple another believer, 407% more likely to memorize Scripture. Isn't that not powerful? Somebody say, wow, come on, somebody say, wow, that's powerful. That's amazing. Because here's what Jesus said about faith. He said, it's like a little mustard seed that goes into the ground. And then it creates that sea creates a mustard tree. And he said, what your faith is like is like the mustard tree, which you don't wouldn't really know this, but this is why you're here today. Let me teach you something. The mustard tree was a menace. It would take over. It would ruin every other plant in the garden. It would take over gardens and take over backyards and uproot foundations. It would completely, from a little seed, it would completely take over. People hated the mustard tree. Jesus said your faith would be like that, that it would start taking over everything. It would start uprooting everything. I'll tell you, the devil hates faith because it starts pushing out addiction. It starts pushing out bondage. It starts pushing out depression. It starts pushing out fear. Oh, can I get a witness today. It starts pushing back darkness. It starts uprooting. is like a mustard tree that goes forth and pushes back on everything else, choking out all the life of everything else that is trying to take over your life. Speak the Word of God. Trust the Word of God. Get in the Word of God. So once I honor the Word, and once I know the Word, number two, now speak God's Word. It starts in the heart, but then begin to speak it out of your mouth.
So I prophesied as I was commanded. To prophesy is to speak under divine inspiration. To prophesy is to declare what God is saying. Most of what you see in the prophetic, especially today, is more if you follow this stuff in the charismatic church, a lot of you don't. But if you follow this stuff on YouTube and stuff like that, it's really fortune-telling. It's really, you know, I see you in your name Sally, and it's like, oh my God, my name's Sally. And it's like, what you don't know is that she registered for the night, and he was on Facebook looking up names. This happens all the time. One of the main prophets in America just got exposed for doing this, right? I see you-- sir, you were an 11 and 1/2 shoe. Oh my God, I do. It's like, yeah, 'cause you said that on your Instagram. It's like, that's fortune-telling, that's creepy. That's all sense knowledge. That's not how God works, you know. Amen? What a real prophet does is he calls you back to God. So in Scripture, there was predictions about tomorrow, but most of what prophesy is in Scripture is a prophet calling the people of God back to the Lord. It's bringing them back to the heart of God, back to the person of God, and then calling them into a better future
because of their walk with God. So to prophesy is to speak to your life and to speak over your life the way God does. It's to get a godly positivity about your future and about your tomorrow. It's based in hope and in faith, not fear. See, the devil doesn't know your future and the devil doesn't know the future. So anytime the enemy talks to you, you have to know this. If the devil ever talks to you about tomorrow, it's always a lie, always. So the spirit of fear is a lying spirit that's trying to get you fearful of tomorrow. Spirit of dread, spirit of worry. And what he's trying to, when the enemy speaks, he lies to you about tomorrow, hoping you come into agreement with it. And then you shift your life in the direction of that word of negativity and fear, but the devil doesn't know tomorrow. So here's what I know number one, any emotion in every emotion that you have about tomorrow that is negative is from the enemy. I'm full of faith and I'm full of hope even in the craziness of this world. 'Cause I still know Jesus is building his church and I still know, according to Isaiah chapter 60, that even his darkness covers the earth, a light will shine and the glory of the Lord will cover the earth as the waters cover the sea. Amen.
(congregation applauding) So let me say it like this. The devil is, he just is. He just is, he does not know the future, he just is. The enemy, excuse me, Peter said that the enemy is like a roaring light, seeking whom he may devour, roaming around. Jesus said that demons roam. They're not at all places at all time, they're not omnipresent, they roam, they're looking for a host, they're looking for empty vessels, okay? He just is. So he doesn't know tomorrow 'cause he's not there, he's here. (congregation chattering) Jesus was. (congregation chattering) And is, come on, churchy people, and is to come. So when God talks to me, he talks to my present from my future and invites me into something that I has not seen and ear has not heard, nor has it entered the heart of man, but it's been revealed by the spirit of God. (congregation applauding) God makes known the end from the beginning. So when God says, I know the plans I have for you, he's not guessing.
So now when I come into a group, Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you. Do not turn from it from the right or to the left that you may be successful wherever you go. Now, how do I do that? How do I obey the law? How do I not turn to the right or the left? How do I stay strong and courageous? It's all found in verse eight, keep this book of the law always on your lips. You say it, meditate on it, which means to mutter, means to say, means to whisper. Another word for meditation there, the Hebrew thought there is to chew on the cud, gross. You may not know what that is, but it's what a cow does. Cow has multiple stomachs, get some grass, they chew it, put it in one of their stomachs and then they throw it up and then they chew on it and put it down in one of their other stomachs and they get some more nutrients and then they throw it up and then they chew somewhere. Can you believe that? Cow's are nasty. Come on, somebody. God says, chew the cud. Get in the word and say it. And then get in the word. Well, I read the Bible one time and I didn't understand it. Read it again. You don't. It's like saying, why eight once? I don't remember it. Yeah. I don't remember what I ate two weeks.
You ought to remember what I ate yesterday. Well, you still got to eat? Well, I tried to read the one time and I don't remember. Do you remember what you ate last year now? You don't remember, but you needed the food. Hello? So you get in the word and then you say it and then you get in the word and then you say it and then you get in the word and then you say it and you chew the cud. You mutter it and you say it and you say it and you say it and you say it and that's how you're able to do everything written in it. You'll never obey it till you say it and you'll never say it till you read it. So you read and then you confess and then you obey and then this is beautiful. You'll be prosperous and successful. It is written, I believe therefore I've spoken since we have the same spirit of faith. We also believe in therefore speak. Now watch this. I don't say it and then believe it. I believe it and then I say it. There's a difference here. Your words are not the catalyst. Your belief is the catalyst. Your words are simply agreement with what God's already said. See, that's the difference between us, what I'm talking about in like New Age. We're not manifesting. We're not speaking things into existence. We're not just creating words. We're not just saying things and creating a world. That's what we're doing. We're believing what's already been said. And then coming into agreement.
Does that make sense? You see the difference there? Okay. So faith is believing and speaking, believing what God has said and then saying what God has said. Let me show it to you in a beautiful picture. There's a woman, the Bible says who has an issue of blood for 12 years. This is in Mark chapter 5, an issue of blood meeting. She's hemorrhaging on the inside and she's been basically in a constant cycle for 12 years and she's been bleeding for 12 years. And the Bible says she's not getting better, she's getting worse. And the Scripture said in Mark chapter 5, she heard about Jesus, and I'll watch it. She heard and then she said, "If I could just touch the hem of his garment, I'd be healed." I'll watch it. She heard and then she said, "Everybody say here and say." Okay. Now Romans 10, 17 says faith comes by hearing, hearing by the good news about Christ. So I hear it. She heard it and then it created a new conversation. Okay. So here's what you may or may not know about your life. Experts tell us that our self-talk in our inner voice is set by the time we're seven years old. Your self-talk was created, your inner voice was created by seven years old. If your parents were absentee, abusive, or addicted, you have negative self-talk. And what they go on to tell us, if you had an absentee parent, an abusive parent, or an addicted parent, you feel like you're not safe, like you're not seen, and like you're not loved. And some of you are going, "Oh, yeah, 100% yeah, checks out." And that's been your inner dialogue, that's been your self-talk.
But now she hears a new conversation. [BLANK_AUDIO] She starts to hear good news. She starts to hear about Jesus. She starts to hear the gospel. She starts to hear about the power of God. And now out of that comes a new self-talk that comes out that goes, "I could be healed. I could make it. God could do a miracle in my life. I am loved, I am seen, I am enough. I am who God says I am. I can do what God says I can do. I can have what God says I can have. I can be what God says I can be. I didn't know that before because my self-talk said, I'm unseen and I'm unloved and I'm unsafe. But now that I'm in the Word of God, it's creating something new, telling me I am seen, I am loved, I am safe. And you need to be in this book until you believe it, I just said. 'Cause 30 minutes on a Sunday will not do it. All I can do on a Sunday is this, all this is chips and salts it to try to stir up a little hunger for you to go home and make some freaking fajitas. Amen everybody. You know what I'm saying? I'm like, I didn't mean to say freaking.
That's the cuss word of the chavus, don't forgive me. This is bread service. All I'm trying to do is wet your whistle a little bit and you go home and cook a steak and get in the beat of the Word of God and get this into you until you believe I am loved. I am seen. I am enough. I am heard. Amen. Somebody's hungry. It's a new name and you're like, my God, I feel that illustration. So faith comes by hearing. And now I begin to hear a new, this is what happened to Joyce Meyer, one of the great Bible teachers in our world who wrote the battlefield of the mind, a book anybody in this room should read. Men are women, both need to read, battlefield of the mind who was sexually abused by her father from the time she was three to 18, 15 years sexually abused by her biological father. And she got so in the Word that one day she was able to look at her father and forgive him and lead him to Christ on his deathbed. Listen, how do you do that? She should be dead, she's 88, should be dead, should be on drugs, should be medicated, should be in a mental hospital,
shouldn't be married for over 50 years, shouldn't have grandchildren, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, shouldn't be preaching and teaching the Bible. But the Word got so in her that mustard seed plant got so in her that it drove out bitterness and abuse and pain and hate and rage. That's why I can preach this thing 10 toes down every Sunday 'cause I know what this will do for your life if you will just honor this thing and read this thing and honor God by getting in the book that he loved you so much that he gave it to you. Whoo, get up here guys, I'm done. Almost, don't leave. Please stay till the very end. By the way, I got a friend, I won't say her name but she's been coming to church two weeks in a row. Brand new to church, never been in Christian church. And she, I saw her yesterday when I was getting my haircut and she goes, you know, the music's a lot, the music's a lot for me, it's a lot. She goes, so I come in a little late, I just want you to know I come in a little late. I said, okay, she goes, but I always stay till the end 'cause I heard what you said, this is not a Raider game, this is not a concert. You gotta stay till the very end. I say, good job, you caught it. So I thought that was sweet. Okay, believe God's word, know God's word, say God's word,
speak God's word, number three, now expect God's word. So as he said it, the Bible said, and there was a sound. See, okay, whoo, there was a sound beyond the sound of his voice. It happens in the presence of the Lord. It's like, it's what Ezekiel called a wheel within the wheel. It's a sound that begins to permeate that as you begin to speak God's word, things begin to come together and bones begin to come together and life begins to happen and resurrection power begins to flow and restoration begins to flow and the Bible said, and there was a sound, but Ezekiel had to make a sound first and then everything around him began to come into alignment. Again, did he speak things into existence? No, did he manifest? No, he simply agreed with God's word. making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread of the eater. Look what God says. God says, the rain falls and it creates something. It brings something. The snow comes out. It creates something. It brings something. Okay, so shall my word be. The very thing that this rain is accomplishing right now, so God's word begins to accomplish. From my mouth, it shall not return to me, it shall not return to God empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose. God says, and shall succeed in the thing for which I've sent it. God says, I'm sending my word to you, and when you get that word, the same way that rain hits the soil and produces life. When that word hits the soil of your heart, it begins to produce life in you, strengthen you like the rain falling in the desert. So God's word hits the soul of a man, the soul of a woman, the heart of a person, and it begins to produce seed and bread and life and says, this is what the word does. This becomes rain to a weary soul. This becomes rain to a heart that's in drought. This becomes rain to a thirsty man and woman that needs something beyond the natural and beyond the temporal and beyond what Las Vegas can offer and beyond what America can offer
and beyond what the Western culture can offer. This becomes rain and snow to you that begins to produce life on the inside of you. This is powerful. This is the word of God. A man comes to Jesus and says, would you heal my servant? My servant is sick. Would you heal my servant? Jesus said, yeah, let's go to your house. I'll heal him. And the man stops, no, no, no, no. You don't even have to come to my house. Verse 8, Matthew 8, just say the word. And my servant will be healed. All I need is a word, and I can make it through anything. All your marriage needs is one word from God. All your child needs is one word from God. All your business needs is one word from God. All your, all your hope needs is one word from God. All your heart needs is one word from God. All your faith needs, one word, just say the word, Lord. Come on, somebody shout, just say the word. Come on, say that out loud. Just say the word, Lord. And if you can get a word on it, you can make it through any valley. Luke chapter 4, Jesus is reading the Bible. Luke chapter 4. Okay, by the way, if Jesus needed to read the Bible, you know, we're having baptisms next Saturday. You know, Jesus got baptized. If he did, you probably need to, maybe, no pressure. So Jesus is reading the word, and he reads Isaiah 61 that says the Spirit of the Lord was upon me, and he anointed me to heal the sick, to bring freedom to the captives and declare the year of Jubilee. He reads it, and then the Bible said he closes the scroll, and he said, this is so powerful. He goes, that was me. That's me. I want to tell you, you can get in the word, and you can find a promise from God. And you can go, that's me. Isaiah 53 by the stripes of Jesus, I'm healed, that's me. You and your whole household shall be saved at 1631, that's me. Your children will be mighty in the land, that's me. Man, I need a witness right there. 11 I pray you prosper and be in help even as your soul prospers, that's me. Bless from the curse, that's me. Redeem from the law, that's me. Forgiving of every sin, that's me. Love by my Father, that's me. Saved and redeemed by the blood of Jesus, that's me. Find it in the word, stand on it, speak it, declare it, believe it. That's believe. Find yourself in the word. Everybody's standing, not dismissed, but standing, please. And I'm going to ask our prayer team to come forward and you and you find yourself in the word.
Well, I just opened a Psalm 103. Let's, I'll just read it real quick while I'm here. Let all that I am praised, the Lord of all my heart, I will praise this holy name. Let all that I am praised, the Lord. May I never forget the good things He's done for me. He forgives all my sins, and He heals all my diseases. That's me. He redeems me from death, and He crowns me with life. That's me. He crowns me with tender mercy. That's me. He fills my life with good things. That's me. My youth is renewed like the eagles. My back hurts, but that's me. Me's are aching, but that's me. Hair's turning gray, that's me. The brown hair's falling out, but that's me. He's renewing my youth like the eagles. I'm standing on God's. Somebody shout today, come on. (cheering) Hallelujah. One more time, shout, that's me. (cheering) (upbeat music)
