Buenos dias, hay mucha humedad hoy, me deleita poder compartir con ustedes, no lo tomo en vano. Hermanos, que bendición tenemos, verdad, nuestro pastor Robbie, el buen trabajo que hace el aquí, con mucha gratitud. Les doy nuestra bienvenida hablando, está Abraham Cremins y traduciendo su servidor Rodrigo Garro. Y aquellos que están tal vez en una prisión, quiero que sepan que pueden, que están muy cerca de nuestros corazones. Les voy a contar esta historia, un anciano que está en un estadio romano, con 86 años, el grupo estaba gritando para que lo ejecutaran, y le decían, jura por César, maldice a Cristo, y el hombre se quedó callado. Para ser claros, ese hombre que trajo esa valentía, llevaba décadas de consistentemente ser fiel a Dios, confiando en Dios día a día, fiel, fidelidad ordinaria, porque cristianos no vienen solamente a empezar bien, sino que llegan para terminar bien, y no somos super cristianos porque eso no existe, sino que es para ser fieles día a día, todos los días que nos da el Señor. Les voy a preguntar algo importante, quiero que lo consideres, ¿alguna vez has preguntado si tienes lo necesario para terminar firme en la fe cristiana? Quiero que lo contestemos de la Palabra de Dios en Salmo 119, versículos 111 a 112. Vamos a ver cómo Dios dirige nuestro estilo de vida, y cómo funciona en nuestros corazones. Voy a orar que el Espíritu Santo de Dios obre en nosotros, porque si no, de aquí salimos, todos vacíos. Oremos, Señor, nos sometemos a Ti, confesamos que si no trabajas en nosotros, nada pasará, pero en el poder de Tu Santo Espíritu, sabemos que quieres trabajar y obrar en nuestros corazones.

Padre Santo, llénanos de Tu Santo Espíritu, cambia nuestra forma de pensar, cambia nuestros corazones, danos calidad de quien eres, y danos, Señor, el compromiso de obedecerte, que trabajes hoy para el bien de Tu pueblo, en Cristo Jesús, amén. Salmo 119, dice así, el salmista, por heredad he tomado tus testimonios, son formas de decir la Palabra de Dios, sus testimonios para siempre, porque ellos son el gozo de mi corazón. He inclinado mi corazón para cumplir tus estatutos por siempre, hasta el fin. La primera perspectiva que quiero compartir es esta, abraza el gozo de la Palabra de Dios. Yo siempre hablo en el contexto de comida, alimento. Hago ejercicio para poder comer más. Mi vida hace sentido cuando tengo buena comida. Hice una resolución, un compromiso de dejar de comer postre. And you know how many delicious cakes passed in front of me at the table? I want to get healthier, stronger. I want to run. And I have an exception. And my favorite is pure honey. Who is a fan of honey? Raise your hand. I like to put it on bread. Oh, how delicious. It makes my heart happy. Psalm 19, verse 103. The psalmist says here, How sweet are your words to my palate, More than the honey to my mouth. So what I said is this. I'm going to study the word of God and eat some honey. And my question is, Do you think the same of the word of God? Do you devour it? Do you get involved with the excitement of eating a donut?

A tasty steak? Or my favorite Italian food? We know that food is good, but the Bible is better. He even describes the word of God as an inheritance, a precious possession that goes from generation to generation. How beautiful the word of God is. How treacherous. To read it, to spend time with God listening to it, and to be changed by it. But for many, the word of God is difficult to understand. And what happens is that many times we perceive it in the wrong way. Maybe we struggle with that because we think that they are a pile of tasks, things that we should do better and better and better. Or maybe the word of God teaches us to be ashamed because we realize so many things that we have done wrong. But it turns out that the word of God is perfect. But we perceive it wrong. We have a wrong concept. And that was me. When I was a college student, I looked at myself in the wrong way. Nobody taught me, but I turned the matter around. And I began to represent something wrong. I did it wrong because I thought I had to work hard, hard, hard, hard, hard to be accepted by God. And when I failed, I worked super hard to regain God's acceptance. That's overwhelming.

You don't learn anything from God. So I read and read and looked for more things to do to add more to my list. And I thought, maybe, maybe, if I do more, God will accept me. And I would feel certain. I don't know if you know, but that way of thinking is not biblical. And I came to a crisis. And I told myself, my Christianity is broken. There is nothing wrong with Christ or Christianity, but the way I perceived it did not bring any joy to my life. I looked at God and his word in a bad way. But at that time, in that crisis, God gave me a gift because I began to change my way of seeing it. And I still think about it and work on it every day, to relearn how I read the Bible. La palabra de Dios no está escrita para que hagamos más, sino para decirnos lo que Cristo ha hecho por nosotros. Es lo primordial de disfrutar y descansar en el gozo de nuestra salvación. Les digo que es súper importante disfrutar la palabra de Dios.

Y lo que pasa es que cuando una vez uno lo capta, uno no puede cambiar su forma de pensar ya. Porque abres y ves una y otra vez lo que Dios ha hecho por nosotros. Vemos que funciona así la Biblia. Hecho antes de hacer. Éxodo capítulo 20 nos apunta a los diez mandamientos. Un capítulo bello. Siempre que obedecemos es para la gloria de Dios y para nuestro bien. Los diez mandamientos son un tesoro para nosotros. Si ni siquiera mirarlo, yo creo que tal vez entre varios podríamos hacer la lista completa. Dice, no mates, no cometas adulterio, no robes. Pero me imagino que pocos pueden explicar cómo empezaron los diez mandamientos. En Éxodo capítulo 20, Dios empieza antes de dar ningún mandamiento con lo que él había hecho. Antes de decirle a la gente qué tenían que hacer. Dice la palabra de Dios, yo soy el Señor tu Dios, el que te saqué de la tierra de Egipto. De la casa de servidumbre. Desde aquí donde se empieza. Este es el comienzo. Liberó a Israel de la esclavitud y lo llevó a una relación consigo mismo. No por algo que había hecho Israel, que había merecido, sino que fue por su propio paso. Que él fue detrás de ellos en Egipto y los sacó de allí y los metió en una relación con sí mismo. Ese es el énfasis. En aquel momento, en versículo 3, Dios empieza con los mandamientos. Hecho antes de hacer. Tiene que preceder lo que Dios hizo para nosotros. La Biblia prioriza lo que, no prioriza lo que tú debes hacer, sino que prioriza lo que Dios ha hecho y luego te impulsa hacia lo que debes hacer. Hay gozo en la obediencia, lo reconozco. Pero hay un gozo mayor en la obediencia impulsada por la obra de Cristo en mí y en usted. Que eso sea lo que me impulsa a hacer lo que Dios manda. Quiero darte un desafío esta semana. Si estás leyendo el plan de lectura, si no tienes, tenemos nosotros para darle el plan de lectura.

Hay cinco lecturas esta semana. Y de lo que lees, vas a tener aplicación. Y creo que urge que usted tome este desafío. Cuando usted lo lea, pregúntese, ¿qué primero aprendo de lo que Dios ha hecho por mí? Y después diga, Dios, ¿cómo puedo obedecer? Es que la mayoría de nosotros no hacemos la primera parte. Entonces, nos mata el gozo. Nos elimina la alegría. Este es el ritmo de mi vida. Tengo años de reaprender cómo leer la Biblia. Les animo. Primero, pregunten, ¿qué ha hecho Dios? Y segundo, pregunten, ¿qué debo yo hacer? Cambiará tu perspectiva totalmente. Entonces, y solo entonces, podemos pasar al segundo punto. Decídete a obedecer la palabra de Dios. He estado pensando en esto meses, semanas. I love how the psalmist says it, he says, decide to obey the word of God, he says, I have bent my heart to fulfill your statutes forever, until the end. Pleasure and obedience are not exclusive, they go together. It is that many times obedience is confused with what one thinks is something secular of our culture, what is in the mind of Christians. Sentences that take more and more impulse as you find your truth. Follow your heart.

I want to tell you, when I follow my heart, the best that can happen, I end up in a hole. The human heart was not designed to be a measure of our morality, but it was the word of God. Do not follow your heart, follow the word of God and guard yourself for him. The psalmist said that I am inclined to solve your statutes until the end. Obedience never changes. It is consistent. It is a path that one walks over and over again. Consistent, nothing so spectacular. My favorite example is the story of Daniel. If you know Daniel's book. When Daniel was taken into exile, there are so many things that can be learned. We see how the people of God live their faith day by day in the context of a culture that does not want them to do it. And in those moments, in Daniel's book, the people of God are in crisis and have to make a decision. What kind of person will I be? And Daniel, in chapter six, when it was illegal to pray to any God, in chapter 10, it says this about him. When Daniel learned that the document had been signed, he went into his house. In his high chamber, he had open windows towards Jerusalem.

And three times a day, he knelt down, prayed, and gave thanks before his God. Listen to the emphasis. As he had used to do before. In other words, he proposed to do it from the beginning to the end. If I am a sub-believer, I will take it seriously when things calm down in my work. When I start school, I will begin to focus on the faith of my family. Or what if you say, look, I'm going to focus when I retire. You know what? This goes against what the psalmist says. Because he was firm. He didn't have to be strong at the time of prayer, but he took time. Three times a day, on his knees, speaking and spending time with God. And he remained firm and constant, praying for how long? And when the laws changed, he continued. Consistently, every day, ordinary faith. Confidence. To never give up. That's what he did as soon as he was asked to be Taliban. Because he had become a spiritual leader. That's what he did as soon as he was asked to be Taliban. that one goes forward and forward on that path.

It says, it's long-term obedience in the same direction. Nothing that's going to make you a superstar. But the question is, what kind of person are you going to be today? Because every day there is an opportunity to get up and be the man or woman that God has designed for you. In the 1700s, there was a pastor who was 18 years old named Jonathan Edwards. He made 70 resolutions that guided the rest of his life. 70 that guided his life until his last day. I want you to see two of them. Number one, to do everything that I consider that leads to the greatest glory of God. Number seven, to never do anything that gives me fear and to do so out of the last hour of my life. And the question is, what do you want God to think of you in your last breath? When you get to the main door of your heavenly home, what do you want God to see in your heart? I've thought about it many times for my own heart and my answer is, I just want to be faithful. Not perfect, but faithful. I am one step away from stupidity at every moment. If you were a great friend, I would share all my failures because I will never be perfect. I don't love to be perfect, I love to be faithful. There is a saying that goes, a just man falls seven times and gets up again. And I am the owner of my mistakes and I fix my problems. I take responsibility for them because there are many.

And my question is, how about you and me? Because they are daily and ordinary decisions that matter. If maybe it was illegal to pray, what would you do? I hope your answer is not a conversation in your head, that you say, I am determined to obey until the end. Young people, if they walk into school with the Bible in their hands and they bully you, you say, what am I going to do? I'm just going to say, I have decided to obey God. Or if you are in a position as a polycarp between life and Christ, let your answer always be, I am determined to obey until the end. Look, the Christian commitment cannot be put on hold. It cannot be turned on or off. When am I going to do it and when am I not going to do it? It is consistent, it is faithful, it is ordinary. Matthew 24, Jesus said, and I share the increase, the iniquity, the love of the majority will cool down. But the one who perseveres until the end will be saved. The only thing that guarantees that you will walk with God tomorrow is if you walk with him today. Decide today what kind of man or what kind of person you are. tipo de mujer serás en toda tu vida y guarde eso el resto de su vida. Yo no soy de aquellos que piensan que todo el universo va a entrar, solo aquellos que han puesto su fe en Cristo. Y para cada uno sin fallar, cada uno que pone su fe en Cristo entrará en la puerta de Dios, porque es el llamado de su pueblo, porque Dios tiene un compromiso más grande que el nuestro, para que estemos con Él para siempre y siempre y siempre, porque Dios busca a pecadores como usted y como yo. Amén. Este es el caso. Uno de ustedes tiene una pared y toman muchas decisiones que no será verdad para usted. Tal vez hay un pecado que has cometido tiempo atrás que te descalifica, que dices, ah, tal vez, tal vez Dios me hará una tienda de campaña fuera de las puertas y eso es lo mejor que pueda ser. Eso es mentira. Jesús está en la puerta, la abre, entra la luz para afuera y todos los que claman a Cristo como su Salvador entran. Dice que trabajo tanto, me esfuerzo tanto. Para mí la obediencia es tan importante. Día tras día, mi ansiedad y mi depresión me convence que no tengo ningún valor ante Dios y piensas que para Dios y ante Dios tampoco tienes valor, y eso es una mentira, dice uno. Lo mejor que puedo hacer es esto, y Dios dice, usted entra en la casa, todo el que confía en Cristo Jesús entra en mi casa, y les digo que hay una cruz sangrienta que prueba, porque Jesús salió de la tumba y levantó y se fue al trono, y ese Cristo que sana pecadores como usted y como yo, está allí dándonos la bienvenida, vamos a empezar, vamos a volver a donde comencé.
