Great to see you. Thank you for being in the house today. Hey, thank you for choosing the one o'clock service. Obviously our morning services here at Church by the Glades are a little cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs. The parking lot is nuts. So you choosing the one o'clock actually creates a lot of space for our guests. You get a great experience yourself in and out of the parking lot. So put your hands together for yourselves for choosing this, the one o'clock. You're smart. Thank you so much for being here. Uh, if you're a guest, my name is Nick. I'm one of the pastors here at CBG and I'm always honored to preach the word of God, but I just have to tell you this particular weekend, I am really excited to preach because I believe that God has given me a word that will be helpful for many people today. Whether you're in the room or watching online, because my goal is to add clarity to an issue that is often discussed yet so often misunderstood. So I am pumped to preach today. Come on. Is anybody ready to receive the word of God? Awesome. If you have a copy of scripture, I'd love for you to open up with me to John's accounts of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We're going to be in John chapter number nine. That will be our text for today. And while you're thumbing through the pages of your Bible or twitching your thumb to get on your YouVersion Bible app, let me set the stage for what is taking place because what we see in the heart of this text is what I believe to be the heart of God. Transformation. Jesus, he steps onto the scene and he radically transforms a broken man's life in an instance. Because when Jesus shows up, things cannot remain the same. When Jesus shows up,

things have to change. Miracles can start to happen. Breakthrough might be able to break out. You might be able to get healed. Your confidence can be restored. Power is made available to you in the Holy Spirit. Peace becomes attainable to you and deliverance and salvation and transformation are always possible for you in the presence of Jesus. Because in the presence of Jesus, anything can happen. Anything can happen in the presence of Jesus. And maybe you're here today and that's what you're looking for. You're looking for God to show up in your life in some way because you're desperate for a touch from heaven. And if we're honest in church today, that's kind of all of us, isn't it? We're all looking for God to show up some way. Maybe it's in your marriage or relationship, or maybe it's your health. Maybe it's your finances. Maybe you're looking for God to show up with opportunity that brings growth and advancement to your life. Maybe you're looking for a purpose that brings fulfillment and meaning to your life. Maybe you're looking for instruction or answers that bring clarity for your future. I don't know what it is for you, but I do know that in some way we're all looking for God to show up for us. So if I just described the desire and longing of your heart, I believe today's sermon is for you. My prayer today is that God through the Holy Spirit would help you to better understand by the end of our conversation how he already has and how he will continue to show up for you. But before we get there, I think we first have to understand that before God ever shows up for us, there will almost always be a period of time that we have to wait. And I know I just triggered somebody in church today because nobody likes

waiting. We all hate to wait. Come on. Can I get a witness in church today? Don't, don't, don't leave me up here by myself because I know I hate to wait. I mean, I'll prove it to you. You hate waiting one week for your favorite show to drop that new episode, don't you? We'd rather binge watch on Netflix. You hate waiting in line so much yet you'd be willing to spend hundreds upon hundreds of dollars for passes that let you cut to the front of that line. In a world of Amazon prime and chat GPT with information readily available at your thumbs, we have lost our ability and capacity to wait. Now I'm not saying any of those things are bad things, by the way. I'm simply trying to draw your attention to the reality that those things have contributed to our distaste of waiting. And it's not just us adults, by the way. I mean, I think there is something inherently baked into the DNA of human beings that we have this aversion to waiting. Cause let me tell you, my kids hate to wait. Oh, they hate to wait. My wife Stacy and I will be mid conversation and we'll be talking to each other and my kids are just desperate jawing for our attention. They'll be like, excuse me, daddy. And I'll be like, hold on. Let me, let me talk. I'm talking to your mom. Just give me a second. Thank you for saying excuse me. Good manners. But like, let me finish this conversation. I'll be right there. As I was saying, excuse me, daddy, bro, relax. I'll be right there. Be patient. I promise you I'm going to come back. Let me just finish talking to your mother. What was I saying? Oh yeah. Anyways, excuse me, daddy. What? What do you want? Please, daddy, it's an emergency, please. Okay, what do you need? What is it? Okay, watch this. Why is it always so unserious? Excuse me, daddy, please, it's an emergency. What is it? Did you know that trees are special? This is a real thing my son said to me yesterday. Please pray for my kids, they're not saved yet. We're all looking

for God's attention. We all want his attention immediately because to us what we're going through is an emergency, but oftentimes God will first test your ability to wait before he gives you what it is that you need, as was the case in our texts for today. In John chapter 9 we are introduced to this man who had been blind from birth. He was born blind. He did not lose his sight, he never had sight. And Jesus, he then shows up onto the scene and miraculously heals this man of his blindness by restoring his sight. Now we don't know how old this man was because the text never tells us, but we do get an insight that tells us that he was of legal age, meaning at the very least he was an adult. Some scholars believe that the time that transpired between this man's birth and this encounter with Jesus was 30 years. So he was blind for 30 years. He could not see for 30 years talk about waiting. And yet there was still purpose in the wait. John chapter 9 starting in verse number 1, if you're ready for the word of the Lord, shout yeah. This is the reading of the Word of God. Verse number 1 of John chapter 9, as he, being Jesus, passed by, he saw a man blind from birth. Can I just stop here for a moment and comment on the fact that this man had no capacity to see for himself, and yet Jesus saw him. Sometimes in your life there is grace that you cannot trace. That God has orchestrated things on your behalf that you'll never know about. He's opened doors for you that you would have never been able to walk through. He's put your name in people's mind that you never would have thought possible. He's even protected you from things that you have no clue he's protected you from. I think we ought to give God a shout of praise right now for the grace he has supplied to us that we don't know about. There is grace that you cannot trace. Jesus, as he passed by, he saw a man that could not see him, and his disciples asked him, Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind? Jesus answered, it was not that this man sinned or or that his parents sinned, but that the works of God might be displayed in him. A few weeks ago I preached a message here at Church by the Glades about the birth of Moses. It really was about his mom, Jacobet, but it was really the narrative surrounding the difficult circumstances of the birth of Moses, and

I used this narrative to preach a principle that oftentimes God allows suffering in our life because your suffering is producing something. It produces character. It produces hope. It produces perseverance or endurance. It produces wisdom, life experience, empathy, compassion. Your suffering, it produces something. But this passage that we're reading this afternoon, it actually adds further context to the nature and purpose of our suffering and our waiting. That the works of God might be on display through him. That the works of God might showcase in the life that you live. Sometimes your suffering is nothing more than a conduit through which God wants to show off his goodness, his power, his faithfulness, and his glory. Now hear me very clearly. I am not saying that God caused this man's blindness. No, God did not cause this man's blindness. That would attribute to God an unnecessary, untrue, and cruel character trait. God did not cause this man to be born blind, but this being the case then begs the question, if God did not cause this man to be born blind, then why was this man born blind? Well, that was the disciples question, wasn't it? They were trying to attribute a cause to the nature of this man's suffering. And for them it must have been sin. Somebody had to have sinned for this man to be born blind, whether it was his parents or himself. But somebody had to have sinned, which by the way, was a very common theological interpretation for suffering back in this time. That suffering in any way, shape, or form must be due to some hidden sin in your life. But Jesus blows up this argument and this presupposition of suffering by simply saying one word. Neither. It was neither that this man sinned, nor that his parents sinned, that he was born blind. You see, you can actually trace the the root and origin of suffering all the way back to the fall of man. In Genesis chapter 3, man falls, sin enters the human equation. Before Genesis chapter 3, suffering and disease and sickness and separation from God did not exist. We lived in perfect harmonious relationship with God the Father in the Garden of Eden. But in Genesis chapter 3, through deception, sin enters the human equation and with it comes suffering. And ever since then, we have been living in a sinful, fallen, and

broken world, desperate and longing for what we once had in Eden. Which, by the way, if you are a believer in Christ Jesus, is the hope we have today. That God is establishing a new kingdom, where he will restore rightful order to creation, where there'll be no more sickness, and no more disease, and no more suffering, and no more pain, and no more hardship, and no more death. That he's making all things new, where he will dwell amongst his people, and we will live once again in harmonious relationship with God. Come on, is this good news to anybody at Church by the Glades today? He's establishing a new kingdom, but until he does, we still live in this fallen, broken, and hurting world. So all this to say, you can trace suffering back to the fall of man, that when sin entered the equation, suffering also entered the equation. So you can say that suffering is universally a result of sin, yes. But you cannot always say that suffering is the result of individual or immediate sin, as was the case with this man. This man was not born blind, because he or his parents sinned in one way. That's unfair and judgmental to assume. Lord, deliver us from this judgmental mentality. It's not because he sinned, that he is suffering. Sometimes bad things happen simply because we live in a broken and fallen world. So again, it's not because he sinned or his parents sinned, that he was born blind. And God did not cause this man to be born blind, no. But God did allow this man to be born blind in his sovereign wisdom. Why? So that the works of God might be on display through this man's life. In other words, which is to say, his suffering was not wasted. His pain was not wasted. His tears were not wasted. His waiting was not wasted. That God had a plan and a purpose through the things that he had experienced in this lifetime, to bring about blessing to this man, and bring about glory to himself. But this does not remove the fact that he still had to wait 30 years to receive his sights. Hear me, God has a purpose through what you're going through. I promise you he does. But what that purpose is, how he will accomplish it, and when it will come to pass, is not for us to answer. Sometimes you get to see right away why that relationship didn't work out, and you give thanks unto God. Lord, thank you for helping me dodge that bullet. Do I have at least one witness at

Church by the Glaze today? And other times it takes you years to decipher why that heartbreak happened. Sometimes God performs the miracle. Sometimes God heals the body. Sometimes God removes the ailments. And other times he will simply treat you like he treated the Apostle Paul, which had a thorn that remained firmly in his side, though he pleaded with God time after time after time to remove this thorn from his flesh. But the Lord did not remove it. He simply replied to him by saying, my grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in your weakness. Translation, I'm not gonna take it away from you, but I will give my grace to you, because it will sustain you to get you through what you're going through. It's not up to us to determine the what's, the how, or the when. It is our responsibility simply to wait patiently upon the glory of the Lord to be revealed through what we are going through. And with this in mind, as a result of all these things, we should then develop a very healthy theology and perspective of waiting, because the truth... The matter is, if God gets glory eventually, then that will help us to endure the temporary. You see, waiting is not the thing that you do before the spiritual thing happens. No, waiting in and of itself is a very deeply spiritual thing. But as Christians, so many of us, we tend to fall for the lie that transformation in Christ is all about going from circumstance to circumstance. Going from unemployed to employed. Going from poor to rich. Going from single to dating. Going from, I don't know, unknown to influential. Going from mountaintop to mountaintop, which is amazing. God wants to transform your life, absolutely, but what we fail to realize is that before God does the transformation around us, it must first take deep root within us, which is why we've got to stop just passing time during our waiting. Stop just spending the time during our waiting. So many of us oftentimes operate with a perspective in our waiting of, I just need to pass this time until I get there.

But we've got to stop passing time. We've got to start investing time in our waiting, because God wants to transform you from the inside out, and oftentimes before it takes place around you, it'll start within you. Which is why, in many ways, waiting is educating. It's a season of your life to learn who God is, and who He is to you, and who you are in Him. It's a season of your life to learn how to be content and secure in who God has uniquely called you to be. It's a season of your life to learn how to develop an unshakable and firm foundation rooted in dependence on the Lord. Because ultimately, it's these seasons of your life of waiting that you learn things that will carry you and sustain you in the seasons of your life that have yet to come. This man waited 30 years for his miracle. But in verse 6 and 7, we finally see the miracle comes to pass. Sorry, I'm a student pastor. Anyways, Jesus in verse 6 says, having said these things, he then spits on the ground and made mud with the saliva. Then he anointed the man's eyes with the mud and said to him, go, wash in the pool of Siloam, which means sense. So he went and washed and came back seeing. I think it's necessary to point out that this encounter with Jesus did not result in a divine healing, but that this encounter with Jesus resulted in a directive. In the presence of Jesus, this man did not receive an outcome. But in the presence of Jesus, this man received an order to obey. Go, the Lord says, and wash yourself in the pool of Siloam, which means sense. So he went. And the implication here is that this man obeyed immediately, without question, without hesitation, or without any reasoning. Now, this is not to say that you cannot ask your God questions or seek understanding after a particular instruction you've received from the Lord. No, that's not the case at all.

I don't think that's biblical. You actually can see elsewhere in Scripture, in 2 Kings 5, where Naaman, a powerful official, he is seeking a healing in his body, and he receives instruction from the prophet of God, and he asks questions about the instructions he received, and God still healed him of his leprosy. Theologically, then, we must be balanced and understand that God, he is not opposed to or offended by your questions. No, that's not biblical. The Lord never called us to a blind faith. We're actually called to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. Questions are not a bad thing. You should ask questions. Go ahead and ask your God questions. But be very careful not to allow your questions to become the reason you never do what God asked you to do. Sometimes, the only way to get your questions answered is to do the very thing that you are inquiring about, and allow God to reveal the answer to you after your obedient faith. Because let's be real, this directive was probably a little weird to this man. Like, what's putting a little bit of like spit and mud on my eyes, and then go and washing it off in some pool going to do for me? I'm blind, Jesus. I need a healing, not a bath. But he was sent, so he went. He was sent, so he went. This man waited 30 years. He probably prayed every day. Asked God to remove his blindness. to help him to see, to reveal to him the nature of the suffering he was enduring. And he waited 30 years, but when time came

for his encounter with Jesus, he obeyed immediately. He was sent. So he went and washed in the pool of Siloam. And because he washed in the pool of Siloam, he was cleansed and came back seeing. So let's break this down. He was sent, so he went and washed and came back seeing. He was sent, so he went and washed and came back seeing. One more time. He was sent, so he went and washed and came back seeing. Could it be possible that the reason you are still blind in an area of your life is because you have yet to be washed because when you were sent, you never once. Sometimes we never see the miracle unfold in our life simply because we get so caught up in the method that the Lord chose to bring about the miracle. I mean, let's not over-spiritualize this text. Like, really, Jesus? You're gonna spit on the floor. You're then gonna take the mud that is laced with saliva and put it on my face. That's gotta be misdemeanor assault. That's battery in some, that might even be a hate crime. And then to top it all off, you're gonna go and ask me to do cardio? Like, go and find the pool. I'm blind! I can't see. I've never seen. I don't know where this pool is.

Where do I go? This is a crazy statement. It's a crazy thing for Jesus to ask this man to do, to go and find the pool. He probably needed someone to help him to get there. To then go and wash the saliva-laced pool to then go and wash the saliva-laced mud off of his face. I mean, this is crazy. And oftentimes what I've learned is that when the Lord chooses to heal us in ways that do not line up with our preferred method of healing, we opt out of obedience. But can you imagine with me for a moment what would have transpired had this man chosen offense and did not obey the commands of Christ and waited on an alternative method of healing? He'd still be blind. But how often do we pull this move with God? Where we grow disinterested in a particular command that he has given us, so we never apply it, but then we wonder, and we still wonder why we have not received sight in an area of our life. Hey God, I would love to be healed, but forgiveness is not an option for me. You don't know what they did to me. You don't know how they hurt me. Hey God, I would love life-giving relationships. I'd love nothing more than to have a life-giving relationship, but I still want the option to sleep with that person before we get married

because that's such an antiquated command. I mean, we don't do that anymore in the 21st century. Get with the times, Jesus. Hey God, I would love financial freedom, but God, have you ever been to Cabo? I mean, come on, like go and travel a little bit, Lord, because I know I'm broke, I know I can't afford it, but I just want to live my life. You see, when we receive a word from God that we don't prefer, we tend to dismiss it and wait on a different word from God, hoping that it will still answer all of our issues and fix all of our problems. I wonder how much of what we brand as waiting on God is really just us waiting on our preferences, waiting on things that we agree with, waiting on things that are better pathways, best suited for our agendas. But as one of the pastors at this church that loves you, can I just tell you, waiting on a word that you prefer is not waiting on God, it's disobedience. If the Lord tells you to go and wash in the pool of Siloam, no matter how hard you might try, otherwise that pool is the only pathway to your sight. I'll put it this way, waiting will not fix what only washing will remove. So could it be possible that you are stuck in the proverbial dark in an area of your life because you have yet to act on the light you have already been given?

If God has given you a word, go. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks about you. It doesn't matter if people think you're crazy because you've got some spit and mud on your face and you've got to go wash it off in some, it doesn't matter what people think. If God gave you a word, go and be obedient to that word. And today, just so you know, we have a word from God. It's the written word, it's the Bible, it's the scriptures. You ought to be obedient to the written word of God in your life and apply it because. Hear me. This is important. It's not the hearing of the word. It's not the reading of the word It's not the knowing of the word. It's not even the understanding of the word it is the doing of the word that brings power and freedom and victory and sights To your life and now I'm not just talking about physical sight anymore I'm talking about spiritual sights. I Actually think that this miracle in John chapter 9 goes far beyond the mere physical blindness of this man Because we're introduced to some other blind people in the passage as you continue to read. They're called the Pharisees Now the Pharisees were not physically blind, but you best believe there were certainly spiritually blind They could not recognize Divinity standing right before them in the person of Jesus Christ because Jesus Christ did not come in the way that they Perceived or preferred the persona of Messiah to come So they thought Messiah would come in power not humility they thought Messiah would come to uphold their traditions not tear them down and Because Jesus did not come in the method that they preferred. They actually ended up killing the man. They should have kept Their blindness Kept them from seeing the miracle that stood Before them and as you continue to read the passage you realize they didn't just miss the miracle They were angry at the miracle

The Bible tells us it gives us this insight that this miracle happened on the Sabbath and in their view Jesus violated the Sabbath law Not because he violated any of the divine Sabbath regulations as recorded and revealed to us in the scriptures No but that Jesus violated the extra biblical applications of the Sabbath law as Recorded by the rabbis and Pharisees in other words Jesus did not violate the Word of God or the scriptures he violated what they added to the Word of God and Because he violated their rules and their regulations. They branded him a sinner Let me show you what I mean. Let's skip down a little bit and go to verse number 24 and read it there It says so for the second time they called the man who had been blind that they were Interrogating this man because they're trying to figure out if this Jesus dude is really worthy of Punishment because they were like, how is this man saying and doing all these things and not getting punished? So they said to him give glory to the real God the one true God because we know that this man Jesus is a sinner But the blind man answered look at this Whether Jesus is a sinner. I do not know But one thing I do know that though I was blind Now I see Verse 29 The Pharisees say well, we know that God has spoken to Moses. Look at the law. Look at the commandments Look at the Torah, but as for this man, we don't know where he comes from Well, the blind man answered what an amazing thing you said, you don't know where Jesus comes from and yet he opened my eyes We know that God does not listen to sinners But if anyone is a worshiper of God and does his will God listens to him never since the world began Has it been heard that anyone opened the eyes of a man born blind if this man were not from God? He could do nothing The Pharisees could not see it But this once blind man saw perfectly clear Oh God had opened this man's physical eyes so that he could see not just physically but see spiritually Oftentimes we miss God in our waiting simply because we cannot recognize his imprint on everything around us

Which is why as the people of God we must develop an ability and learn how to recognize the miracle We have to stop praying. We got to change our prayer request We've got to stop praying like God to give us success. God. Give us influence. God. Give us wealth God Give us more more power God grow our following God Give us more stuff give us blessing and we've got to start praying God Give us sight help us to see give us eyes to see the miracles that you are preparing for us Help us to see the miracles that stand all around us the Pharisees They were blind they could not see the miracle that stood before them in this man who was once blind But now could see because the miracle occurred in such a way that conflicted with their belief system so because of this they denied the deity of Jesus they denied that he was one with God and they branded him a sinner and Then they declared that if anything good happened to this blind man that there's no way it could be possible that it happened because of Jesus It is always a work of the enemy to take what the Lord has given us and distort it and pervert it and Rejected is coming from him. But the Bible says, every good and perfect gift comes from your Father in heaven in whom there is no variation or shifting shadow. Translation, everything good that you have, everything good that you've experienced, everything good in your life comes from God. So we must operate in such a way that we follow God's ordinances and boundaries for the good things that he has given us. That is the way to experience the real life that is found in the good creation that God has established. Everything good comes from God.

So if you want what's next for your life, you must stop every once in a while and look around you and see all the things that he's already done for you, all the miracles that he's already performed for you. Because last time I checked, you woke up this morning and that's a miracle. You've got breath in your lungs and that's a miracle. You've got a roof over your head, that's a miracle. You're still married today, that's a miracle. You've got a family to love, that's a miracle. You've still got your peace, that's a miracle. You're still walking on your two legs, that's a miracle. Not everything's good in your life, I get it. Things are not perfect, I get it. No, not all circumstances are good, but you can best believe that God is still good in all those circumstances. And he's taking what you're going through and he can use it, he can work it to display his goodness, display his glory, display his faithfulness, display his favor, not just for your good, but ultimately for his glory. And I don't know about you, but that sounds like a miracle to me. This man was once blind, but now he could see. And he called it what it was, a miracle. Makes me wonder how many of us are still blind simply because we're sitting in miracles we can't recognize.

Survey your life, look all around you. Look for the miracle, because I promise you, if you look for God, you will see that he's been looking for you all along and he's been trying to find you and he is trying to get your attention through the things that are going on around you. And I think this is nowhere better exemplified than in the witness of this man, because this man, he experienced a miracle. He experienced a miracle, but I don't think that was even the major miracle of the text. His physical eyes were opened, yes, but I think that's the minor miracle. I think the major miracle is that God gave him spiritual eyes to see the purpose and source of his miracle, that's Jesus Christ. Jesus opened the eyes in this man's head so he could open the eyes in this man's heart, which is why we've got to learn how to recognize the miracle, because sometimes the miracle around us isn't even the full picture. Sometimes the miracle around us is simply the avenue through which God is trying to get your attention to do a greater work inside of you. This man, he shows us, he got it. He shows us, he's an example of this because as he is defending the miracle to the Pharisees,

as he's speaking to the Pharisees about the miracle that Jesus performed, he doesn't just speak to the act of the miracle, he speaks to the person behind the miracle. He doesn't necessarily express the divinity of Jesus, at least not yet. He does that later in verse number 38. He declares Jesus as Lord and he acknowledges him as the Son of God, as the Messiah, but in verse number 33, that's not what's taking place. But if you go back and read verse 33 for yourself, I think you'll start to realize that this man was at least aware enough to recognize the real miracle, that Jesus was from God. If this man were not from God, he could do nothing. Translation, he must be from God. And here's what I find fascinating about this. The people that should have got it, the experts in the law, because they knew the law, they knew the scriptures, they knew the prophecy, so they should have seen the signs everywhere around Jesus. They were the ones that missed it. But the man who was least likely to get it was the one who got it and then spoke about it. I mean, this shows me that you don't need a degree in theology to have a robust faith. You don't need to be seminary trained to hold a conversation about Christ. You don't need to be an apologist to contend well for the faith.

This man is the shining example of the reality that you, me, that all of us, we're all preachers. Because when questioned about Christ, this man did not go to the Pharisees and engage in theological discourse. He did not go to the Pharisees and point them back to the Old Testament to show them how Jesus fulfilled all this Old Testament prophecy. No, what did he do? He said, I was once blind, but now I see. So this man must be from God, because if he were from God, he could do. nothing. In other words, he shared his story. He simply relied on his own personal experience with the power and goodness of God because you can debate theological positions all day long but you cannot dispute personal experience. Revelation chapter 12 verse number 10 says it this way. Now have come the salvation and power and kingdom of God and the authority of his Messiah, Jesus Christ. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, the devil, our enemy, who accuses them before our God day and night, he has been hurled down. He has been cast away. He has been defeated and they defeated him. They triumphed over him by what? By the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimony. We overcome the enemy not by theological discourse. That's awesome. We don't overcome the enemy by mastery in doctrine. That's awesome. But we overcome the enemy by the word of our testimony to attribute the miraculous to the only one who can accomplish the miraculous. It's Jesus because the truth of the matter is it's Jesus that healed me. It's Jesus that set me free. It's Jesus that broke chains off me. It's Jesus that kept me from taking my life. It's Jesus that healed my mind. It's Jesus that restored my peace. It's Jesus that helped me keep my marriage. It's Jesus that picked me up in my lowest moment. It's Jesus that chose me and restored me and forgave me and redeemed me and accepted me and adopted me and gave me sight. It's Jesus that saved me. For what can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood

of Jesus. Is there anybody at Church by the Glaze grateful for the blood? That was Jed. I'm done. If you could stand to your feet, I promise I'm closing but I just have to say this. We might not have physical blindness today but each and every one of us have a spiritual blindness condition to address. We were all born with spiritual blindness and in the passage it was mud that got this man's eyes open but what will open our eyes it's not mud, it's blood. Jesus Christ shed his blood on the cross so that if you were to place your faith in the completed work of Christ that you might be ransomed from the penalty of your sin. That you might see clearly the pathway to real and true freedom and that you might experience life both abundant and eternal. Maybe the miracle you need today is the miracle of salvation to give your life by faith to Jesus and apply his blood to your life so you can be set free but for the rest of us God's getting ready to show up for you. I don't know how, I don't know when but I know that he's getting ready to show up for you so until he does you stay obedient to his word. You keep discerning all the things that he's doing around you. You stay grateful for where God has placed you and then you testify to the goodness, the power of the wonder-working blood of Jesus. Father we bless you today. Thank you. Thank you for the blood that washes us clean. Thank you that it cleanses us, that it casts our sin as far east is from the west God. That in your name we have been completely forgiven. That we have been made righteous no matter the mistake, no matter how difficult our life has been. So Lord help us today to understand that you are still ready to show up for us. So Lord help us to wait. Help us to wait with urgency. Help us to wait with obedience. Help us to wait boldly as we proclaim your mighty name and as we do I pray that you'd bless, favor and strengthen your people. We love you Lord. It's in Jesus name we pray. Amen.
