Miracles In The Valley | Jabin Chavez | City Light Church
middle of a valley it was full of bones He led me back and forth among them and I saw great many bones on the floor of the valley bones that were very dry Okay, now we read all that last week now. Let's go to verse three. He asked me son of man Can these bones live and I said sovereign Lord you alone no can these bones? Live and I want to talk from the subject today miracles in the valley miracles in the valley I thank you Lord. It's your miracle worker. I Thank you Jesus. You're the same yesterday today and forever So according to Acts chapter 4 we pray today stretch forth your hand And touch your people today in the name of Jesus Christ And everybody said amen. Come on. If you're ready for a word. Let's clap those hands and Let's get some from God today, amen Miracles God is a miracle worker Jesus is the same yesterday today and forever see I believe in wisdom. I believe in Integrity, I believe that if you live right and you live according to the word of God You won't get in so much trouble and you won't need that many miracles but Even when you're doing everything you know to do and you're honoring God and you're living for God and you're trusting God and you're living in Wisdom and integrity there are still moments where you're going to need a miracle from God the divine sudden Intervention of God when the supernatural hand of God begins to move in the natural affairs of men and God begins to do Something in your life Catherine Coleman said I believe in miracles because I believe in God You cannot separate the miraculous from God and you cannot separate God from the miraculous God is a miracle worker there are 164 miracles in Scripture and the same God that did miracles in the Bible is still doing miracles today He is a way maker He is a mountain mover. He is a miracle worker and you can believe God for a miracle
And I I just feel led to tell somebody don't let the disappointment of yesterday Rob you of your expectation for what God can do today and what God can do tomorrow Here's what I know about this room There's a lot of disappointment in the room There's a lot of people who have faced things that they didn't think they would need a face But there's also a lot of testimonies in the room And I'm just telling you I'm gonna be led by my testimony not by my disappointment I'm gonna be led by the promise of God not by the pain of my past not everything has worked out the way I thought it was and I've had to walk through some hell and some high water But I still believe in it got a miracles signs and wonders and I believe God is still moving today in Jesus name say amen everybody So so here's what I know about The God that I serve that God works in the valley That this miracle worker that I'm preaching about he works even in the valley I Love this word in verse three live. Can these bones live live life? Restoration resurrection revival renewal. Can they live again? Is he kill can these bones live? I just want you to know that God is a God of life The will of God for your life is life The thief comes the devil comes in order to steal kill and destroy that is the that is the missions statement of Satan You know what a lot of you were raised in churches that you heard the opposite you heard God comes to steal kill and destroy Every hurricane it was God every earthquake. It was God every tornado. It was God every, you know You can't live in California It's gonna get swallowed up by the sea when God judges California everything is every every negative thing and this cancer is God That car wreck was God that death was God everything negative in life was was God got the credit for it I've just come to say no the devil steals the devil kills and The devil destroys and when stealing killing and destroying comes into your life. We resist it
With the truth of God that Jesus came that I might have and enjoy life have it in abundance to the full Till it overflows. I'll take an amen right there. Come on Here's some here's some basic theology Good God bad devil David give me give me something I could take home today. God is good. The devil is bad Amen So if it's bad, I'm gonna fight against it and the truth of God. If I get sick, I'm gonna believe for healing, and I'm gonna go to the doctor, and I'm gonna do whatever I gotta do to stay healthy and strong. Come on, because God is good. The devil is bad. God gives the devil takes. And I'm standing on the truth of God's word. Jesus said, Mark chapter one, verse 41, moved with compassion. Jesus reached out, and he touched the man with leprosy, and he said, I am willing. Be healed. That's who God is. He's willing. God is willing. God is working. God is writing my story. We'll leave that up for a while. I'm gonna preach this so hard until someone in the rapture section says amen today. I'm gonna preach this so hard.
God is willing. God is working. God is, Jabin, what's the confession of your life? God is willing. God is working. God is writing my story. Are you in a valley? I am, but God is willing. God is working. God is right. Are you facing sickness and disease? I am, but God is willing. God is working. God is writing my story. Are you in a tough time? Maybe you are, but God is still willing. God is still working. God is writing my story. Come on, I think we ought to say this with some faith today. Everybody out loud. Come on, 100% participation, everybody. God is willing. God is working. God is writing my story. All right, you did it, but this time we're gonna do with a smile. And I believe as we say this, the gift of faith is coming on you today. I believe as we say this,
heaviness is gonna lift off of your shoulders today. I believe as you say this, something is gonna change in your brain. We're gonna start refiring. We're gonna start reshaping. We're gonna start retraining our brain to believe God for abundance. Come on. Smile. Let me see those pearly whites. Come on, God is willing. God is working. God is writing my story. If you believe it, say amen. Give God some praise. God's writing my story. The devil's not writing my story. God's writing my story. Democrats and Republicans aren't writing my story. God's writing my story. My ex-pouces are writing my story. God's writing my story. My past is not writing my story. My enemies are not writing my story. God is writing my story. And it's good and it's abundance. And I'm going into it even in a valley. Amen. I declare that today's bones will be tomorrow's miracles. Today's test is tomorrow's testimony
and today's battle is tomorrow's victory. He is the God of life. Second Chronicles chapter 20 verse 26 and on the fourth day, they, King Jehoshaphat, gathered in the valley. Watch the valley of blessing. They had just fought a battle in this valley. But it got the name that day because the people praise and think the Lord there. It's still called the valley of blessing today. They renamed the valley of battle to the valley of blessing. I want to remind you, you have naming rights and naming authority as a child of God. Ooh, man, I feel this. If we could go all the way back to the book of Genesis, you would see that when God created Adam, He gave Adam the ability to name. He gave Adam the ability to call things. He gave Adam the ability to name different animals, different names. Let me tell you what I'm saying right now. You have the authority by the Holy Spirit to name your life. To speak life over your life. To call your valley blessed. To call this year blessed. To call your marriage blessed. To call your children blessed. To call your job blessed. To call your boss blessed.
To call your whatever you're facing right now. I refuse to live under a curse of my own negativity. I'm calling from this day forward. I'm calling it blessed. I don't know how 2026 has been for you, but you can call it blessed. I'm calling the next three months blessed. I'm declaring the next three months. We'll see more miracles, more breakthroughs, more provision, more answers than the first nine months combined. Come on, blessed. Somebody shout, "Blessed." Well, I still haven't got any of you to stand, but I'm gonna keep working. I'm giving you my best. Blessed, blessed, blessed. I feel cursed, but I know I'm blessed. I'm in a battle, but I know I'm blessed. I'm in a challenge, but I know I'm blessed. Because if God said I'm blessed, I'm blessed. And I'm calling this season blessed. And I'm calling this city blessed. And I'm calling this home blessed. And I'm gonna refuse to complain about what I'm going through. I'm naming it blessed. (congregation applauding) God is working in my valley. Number two, when you're in it, when you're in the valley and you need a miracle, look for possibility.
- Very good, very good. - Look for possibility, look for possibility. Ezekiel, can these bones live? Okay, verse one and two. I'm in a valley covering bones, a lot of bones, dry bones bleached by the sun. That's Ezekiel, okay. God interrupts him, I believe, gently, by the Holy Spirit and verse three and goes, "Hey man, I know, I know all that." Can they live? God never asks Ezekiel, "Bro, do you see all these bones?" He said, "Can they live again?" He changes his perspective, changes his vision and gets him looking for possibility because it does not take faith to say what you see. It takes no faith to say what you see. It takes faith to say what you believe. Let me just say that one more time. It does not take faith, put it up on the screen. I want people to write this down. It does not take faith to say what you see. I bet you could just get in that. Oh man, there's bones and there's dry bones. And man, there's this and there's that. And it's not that God is asking Ezekiel to lie about what he sees, but he's asking him to raise his faith and expectation to believe beyond just what he sees. It takes no faith to say what you see.
It takes faith to say what you believe. And I'm asking you to choose to say and rehearse and stand on what you believe, not just on what you see. So God does not say, do you see the bones? He says, can they live? And every time God asks a question, he never asks it because he doesn't know the answer. God knows the answer. He's asking you the question because he's trying to reveal the truth to you. He's trying to get you to see something. He's trying to get you to see something different. He's trying to get you to get to a place of truth, not just a place of fact. God loves asking questions all through scripture. And every time he asks a question, it always brings people to a place of freedom. Adam, where are you? Jacob, what is your name? Jeremiah, what do you see? Nation of Israel, are you willing and obedient? Shunamite woman, what do you have in your house? Bartimaeus, what do you want me to do for you? Man by the pool, do you want to be healed? Disciples, who do you say that I am? Ezekiel, can these bones live? Every time God asks a question, it is a leading question where he's trying to get you and he's trying to get me and he's trying to get Ezekiel to a place of possibility thinking
where I'm not just talking about what's going on around me, but I'm talking about the promises of God. See, there is a really fine line between complaining and keeping it real. I've been since I right there, though. And it's so close that I try to avoid it altogether. Like, I don't like heights, so I don't go to Hoover Dam. I don't go to Hoover Dam. I don't do that. I don't like heights. I stay away. Let me just say something. I try to stay away from complaining. 'Cause sometimes I don't know if I'm keeping it real or just rehearsing and nursing my issues. So I try to stay with the promises of God. I try to stand on that. Now, I'm not saying you can't be honest. Here's what I'm saying. You can be honest with the spirit of faith. Ooh, I'm in a valley, but God is good. I got big problems, but I got a big God. We haven't talked in two weeks. I haven't slept in the same bed in a month, but the Lord is a God of restoration. See, you could, God is willing, God is working. God is writing my story and I need a job. (congregation laughing) You could be honest and still believe
in staying on the promises of God. But see, we've been taught negativity. You're taught negativity as an adult. You're taught it. As a child, you're not negative. It's a child, you're a dreamer, right? So you look at your daughter, go, what do you wanna be when you grow up, baby? I wanna be a ballerina and be an astronaut. (congregation laughing) Right? Look at your little son, what do you wanna be? Bro, would you grow up? I wanna be a transformer. I wanna be a fire truck. Turns into a robot. And you're like, yeah, dude, for sure. years old, probably his name was Sawyer. I said, "Hey Sawyer, what do you want to be when you grow up?" He said, "I'm already in." I said, "What?" He said, "I'm a ninja turtle." "Boom!" And he punched me right in the face. I said, "Man, you go. You go, bro." I couldn't even stop his faith. But then what happens? Life happens. People start making fun of you.
People start hating on you, people start telling you what you can't do. People start telling you all the reasons it won't work. People start telling you that you're a fool to believe that. And the Bible said in the book of Genesis that Joseph's brothers hated him. Watch this. Not because of his favor, not because of his father, but because of his dream. And they hated him because of his dream. That's why you can't share your dream with everybody. But you better get a dream. Don't let life beat the dream out of you. Keep believing for possibility. Keep believing for a future. Come on, keep dreaming great dreams for God and watch God meet you in the dream. God said, "When the Holy Spirit's poured out at chapter 2, we go get dreams and visions." Probably heaven, say, man. Dream number three. Number three. Look for the possibility. Now number three, take a step of faith. Take a step into the unknown. Unknown, unknown. Can these bones live, Lord, you know, what a, what an answer. Lord, you know, which I think was like a really politically savvy way of saying, I don't know, but I'm trying not to be negative, but it don't look like it. I don't, I don't think so, but you, you're asking me a question. So maybe I don't, I don't know. You know. See, I think, I think God appreciates a yes with an exclamation mark. I think he really does.
And I think there's moments in your life where you could really, to the Lord go, yes. And I think there's some times that we say yes to the Lord with a question mark. It's like, yeah, and sometimes I'm here, and it's like, as your faith gets lower, your hands get lower, and before you know, you're like, yeah. But God will even take a yes with a question mark. You don't need as much faith as you think you do. God will take your brokenness and watch me, he'll take your broken yes. Oh, can I get a broken yes in the house today? God will take, you're not enough. See, some of you are waiting for great faith to do something great for God, and you actually don't need great faith to do something great for God, because Jesus said, I can even take mustard seed faith, any bitty faith, and that thing can grow and grow and grow. God does not need big faith, perfect faith, great faith. God will take a little bit of faith, broken faith, wavering faith, and he'll do something with it. Jesus has been teaching for days, the Bible says, and there's 5,000 men plus women and children, so let's think there's a crowd of about 20,000 people surrounding Jesus, and the disciples go to Jesus, they go, Jesus. These people got to eat, they're tired, they're fainting, you've been teaching a long time. Now, Jesus, we love it, but the people are hungry, that's a smart way of saying, we're done, we're done, and Jesus looks back at him, Danny goes, you feed him, you feed him. And they know something that's going to limit them, watch this, they know that it would take a year's wages to be 20,000 people, so they say, Lord, we can't feed them, it would take a year's wages, see, the more you know, K-N-O-W, the more you'll be tempted to tell the Lord, no, K-N-O, I'm not even trying to be clever, I'm telling you this is a truth of God's Word, the more you know, some of you are too smart to have faith. Faith isn't here. Faith is right here. Faith is not here. Faith is right here.
And some of you know too much that you constantly talk yourself out of the promise of God. They knew it's impossible to feed 20,000 people. And because of what they know, they say no. And then this little boy walks up on him, Eric, with five loves and two figures, he goes, "I got some bread." 'Cause he didn't know. We were looking at the, we were passing by the Spirit the other day, me, Shannon and Goldie, and a Starbucks ad came up on the Spirit. And Goldie said, "Dad, we should promote City Light "on the Spirit." And I said, "Yeah." She goes, "How much would that cost, like $40?" I go, "Maybe a little more, I don't know. "She don't know." And because of what she doesn't know, she could talk big, believe big. (audience applauding) Don't be so smart. Oh, I got y'all to stand. Thank you. Don't, don't get up in your head. We gotta live from the promise of God. (audience applauding) Yay, yay, yay, yay, yay. Catch this, but the disciples were too smart to get a miracle.
But this little boy goes, "I got some bread, "I got some fish." He said, "Perfect, that's all I need." 'Cause see, God never starts with more than enough. He starts with, "You're not enough to grow your faith." (audience applauding) "James, I don't feel like I have enough. "Welcome to the club. "I don't feel like I got enough. "But I give God, my bread, and my fish. "I give God the little faith I have. "I give God what I do have. "And God turns it into what I don't have." (audience applauding) I'm not in a hurry, be seated. So Jonathan said to his armor bearer, "This is Jonathan and his assistant. "He sees an enemy across the ridge, "a group of about 300 men." And he says, "Come on, "let's go across to these uncircumcised pagans." He goes, "Let's go pick a fight. "Watch this. "Maybe God. "Maybe God. "Maybe God will work for us. "Maybe. "There's no rule that says God can only deliver us "by using a big army." What rules are you believing
that are straight lies from hell? There's no rule that says you have to be an alcoholic. No matter what family history says, there's no rule that says you have to be addicted to gambling. There's no rule that says you gotta go to the strip club tonight. There's no rule that says you gotta be hooked on porn. There's no rule that says you have to live paycheck to paycheck. There's no rule that says you can't have an on-fire relationship with the Lord. There's no rule that says your marriage can't come back together. There's no rule that says all of your children gotta go crazy and go serve the world for it. No, no, no, no, no. I reject all that, there's no rule. You know, when I read this, I was laughing at this scripture this week, thinking about our church was four years old and we bought this land. And I look back now and I go, "What was I thinking?" I wasn't. I was faith-ing. I looked back now and I go, "Bro, you're an idiot. "We're in Lee's liquor, next door to Lee's liquor "and Buffalo Wild Wings on Warm Springs "in 6,000 square feet, about the size of this stage. "We had about 800 to 1,000 people come in. "What was I thinking?" No one can stop God from saving when he sets his mind to it.
Maybe God, not, I prayed and I fasted in the Lord. Maybe God, you've gotta learn how to move on a maybe. May 2016, my wife and I began to pray about our future and where we were gonna plan to church and what God was doing in our life. Really, in our heart, we were settled that we really wanted to go to Scottsdale. That we didn't want to come back to Vegas. We had lived in Vegas before we didn't want to come back. We knew that would create some drama with people. We're living in Orange County and I met with my pastor because I really felt like the Lord spoke to me. We had to come back to Vegas. So I met with my pastor, Jensen Franklin, May 2016. We're driving on the four or five. I'm driving. He's in the passenger seat. And I said, pastor, I believe God spoken to me. I believe we have the word of the Lord. I believe we're to move back to Vegas and start a church. Now we had been talking about Scottsdale. So when I said Vegas, he slapped his legs into disappointment. He goes, not Scottsdale. I go not Scottsdale. I believe it's Vegas. He looked at me with those eyes of fire that he has. He scares me when he's in a good mood. You know what I'm saying? He's just, he's intense. And he goes, are you sure you heard from God? And when he said it like that. And I went, I went, I'm driving, I went, I think. And he goes, well, that's about all you're going to get. I said, really? He said, yeah. He said, because no matter how clear it is in the moment, at the end of the day, your flesh is going to fight that thing. And your flesh hates faith. And your flesh is going to resist it. So, Jabin, you're going to have to move on a baby. You're going to have to move on a, on a Holy Ghost, I think. Eight years ago, we started this church on an, I think, this middle school, I think, Silverado High School, I think, Plaza, I think, Sierra Vista, I think, building this building. I think thousands have come to Christ. I think, on an, I think thousands have been baptized. On an, I think thousands of people have been restored and healed and
delivered. On an, I think we're raising up a generation to serve the Lord. Watch me, it wasn't perfectly clear, but it was faith. But when proof is possible, faith is impossible. Stand up on your feet, we're going to worship the Lord. I'm gonna ask our prayer team to come forward. When proof is possible, faith is impossible. I don't have black and white proof for everything, but I've got faith. This is not a proof church, it's a faith church. This is not a fact church. This is a faith church. This is not, we have everything figured out church. This is a faith church. And if you would say yes to that gift of faith today, I'm telling you, faith will take you where reason could never take you. Faith will take you where logic could never take you. Faith will take you where your gift, talents, and abilities will never take you. Faith will take you where your last name could never take you. Faith in God. And I declare the gift of faith on this house today in the name of Jesus. The gift of faith to believe God.
