Anybody thankful for Jesus in the place? Come on. You guys can be seated. Man, it's good to be back here in Bismarck, North Dakota. And I'm so excited to get the invite to be here speaking to men. And I can't wait. In about 35 to 40 minutes, there's going to be dozens and dozens of hundreds of men that are going to leave their seats and come to this altar. And it's going to be powerful. I'm very, very thankful for the lead pastors of this house, Pastor Josh and Janae and their leadership here. And I love their humility. I love their meekness. I love how they steward what God has given them. And whenever I travel and preach somewhere, I always do what Jesus would do, and that is to lead with honor. So with that being said, can we all stand on our feet and give it up for Pastor Josh and Janae and having a heart for this house and their family and their children. We honor you guys. We love you guys. Thank you for doing this. Thank you for putting this on so men could come to the table. And Janae, your leadership for all the women and the years of women's conferences that have been put on by you. Thank you for stepping out in faith and obeying. Appreciate that. Here's what I need every man to do in the house. On the count of three, I need every man to clap above your head. Okay, on the count of three, I need every man to clap above your head. Here we go.

One, two, three. One, two, three. One, two, three. All right, good. Y'all are still Minnesota Vikings fans. Good job. I just had to make sure. I just had to make sure. Did I get any Packer fans to become Vikings fans just now? True story. This pastor calls me. He said, would you come preach at my church? I said, where do you pastor? I'd love to come. He says, I pastor outside of Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Would you come? I said, pastor, I would love to be there. So I show up that Sunday morning. I get the entire Cheesehead Church to become Vikings fans. I've never seen so many men with flannel shirts and beards go to their pickup trucks to grab shotguns to go kill the guest speaker that day. But I'm alive. I made it. And then I got another pastor. He calls me. He said, would you come preach at my church? I said, pastor, where are you located? He said, we're located right outside of Soldier Field in Chicago. Would you come to my church? We got some Bears fans here, I guess, huh?

And I said, pastor, I'd love to come. So I come and I get all these Bears fans to become Vikings fans. I've never had this happen before. After service, this like 80-year-old lady walks up to me, like on a mission. Like I've never seen her walk so fast in my life. And she walks over to me and she pinches my cheek as hard as she possibly can. And she goes, don't ever bring that Vikings junk into this house ever again. And she pinched me so hard that I had a giant red mark, like right about here. Not so much here, but like right here. And so I had to preach the next service with a giant red gash on my cheek. And I had to tell everyone, get that 80-year-old lady under control in your church, because she got me. Man, for those of you who are upset at me about getting you to be a Vikings fan right now, this is a picture of my wife, Steph. We just celebrated 14 years of marriage. We're trying to catch Pastor Kevin at 44 years, I believe you said. We're trying to catch you. But that's my wife, Steph. She is a small-town Wisconsin girl. She's a Packer fan. I am a Viking fan. And thank God my two children are Vikings fans, not Packer fans. Thank God. I'm trying to just lead. I'm trying to lead that way. And this is a picture of my little girl, Ev. She's nine. Nine years old. That's Everly Dawn. She's in third grade.

And then a picture of our little boy Malachi David. He's seven. And they're back home in Minnesota. They usually travel with me. I brought a young man who's with me that has a call of God on his life, because I typically do not travel alone. I always look to bring someone with. And he's checking out NDSU for football. Would you stand up, Carson Pruitt? Would you give it up for Carson Pruitt? This is a young guy right here. Give it up for Carson Pruitt. Thanks for being with me, bro. You probably could do the math. Eight years I've traveled full time as an evangelist and my daughter's nine, so if you can do the math, my two kids, they've only known a life of a dad who just travels and preaches the gospel. And we preach wherever God opens a door and in the last years, eight years, we've modeled our ministry after Billy Graham and he prayed this prayer. He said, God, help us go where you want us to go and help us be who you want us to become. And Billy was led all over the world and we've stolen that prayer. We've adopted that model in the last eight years. By the grace of Jesus, we've seen over 30,000 people make decisions to follow Jesus. And we just thank God for that.

We thank God for that. And we count it an honor to be right here in Bismarck, North Dakota. We're excited to see what God's gonna do. The last thing I'll mention before I get into the message is I wrote my first ever book. Some of you have it. It's called Death to Life. And if you don't know anything about me, I saw a lot of death at a young age. My parents divorced after 17 years of marriage. I'm the oldest in my family. I have three younger sisters. I watched drug abuse. I watched alcohol abuse. I was the one who caught my dad cheating on my mom with multiple women. I saw a lot of death at a young age. Within one year of my dad walking out of my family, I became the man of the house and my eight-year-old sister was diagnosed with stage four cancer and given a 20% chance to live. I lived at a children's hospital for two years. When you live at a kid's hospital for two years, you meet all the other families who have children there too. I went to more funerals as a teenage boy than most elderly people have in their entire lifetime. I've seen a lot of death, but here's what I've learned

when it comes to following Jesus. Some of you are like, why would you call the book Death to Life? Where's the life? Here's what I've learned, is when you follow Jesus, death is never the final outcome. But when you follow Jesus, he always moves you from death to life. And it's who he is. It's who God is. If not, we're just glad you're here and I'm excited to get into the Word tonight. If you're with me, ready for the Word, say let's go. If every man in the house could stand up for the reading of God's Word with me, if every man in the house could stand up for the reading of God's Word, you can open your Bibles to Psalm chapter 103. If you have never been to church before, if you've never read a Bible before, let me summarize it real quickly for you. There is an Old Testament and there is a New Testament. Where I'm reading from scripture tonight is in the Old Testament. If you think the Bible is boring,

it's probably because you haven't read the Old Testament yet. The Old Testament is filled with craziness. It's filled with a bunch of crazy stories. And the Old Testament and the New Testament has one primary objective. It is to reveal the character of God. In the Old Testament, his name is Yahweh. In the New Testament, Yahweh sends his one and only son, Jesus, to come to this earth. The Old Testament is full of corruption. The Old Testament is full of death. The Old Testament is full of all these things that humans do as a result of their brokenness. God is a covenantal God. And he tells that there's someone who's coming that will save the world. There is someone that is promised. There is a Messiah that will come. So the Old Testament is like, hey, there's someone coming. There's someone coming. There's someone coming. And then the New Testament hits. And the fulfillment of those prophecies is through someone by the name of Jesus. And tonight in the book of Psalms, in Psalm 103, we pick up in the Old Testament. If you've never read the Psalms before, Psalms are what's called grief literature. It's poetry.

These are documented writings of people getting really honest with God. And here we have David writing an honest poem about his relationship with God. When David writes this, he's on old age. When David writes this, he's not young. He's seen a lot of life. He's experienced a lot of things. And this is where we pick up in Psalm 103, verse two. It says this. Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits. Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits. David is commanding his body. David is commanding himself to praise God. When you get into corporate worship environments, sometimes you don't feel like worshiping, but sometimes you need to command yourself, command your body to say, you know what? I will bless the Lord. I will worship the Lord, and I will magnify the Lord. David's doing this here. But David says this. Don't forget all of his benefits. Don't forget all of his benefits. If you're a man and you did not know that there were benefits to following Jesus, there are benefits that are associated with being a man who follows God. And here are some of the benefits. It says this, who forgives all your sins,

who heals all your diseases, and who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion. Jesus, I thank you that every man here tonight is not here by accident. Every man here tonight is here on purpose. And I pray for the man who is stuck, the man who is downcast, the man who is hurting. I pray he would know this kind of love, a love that forgives every sin, a love that heals every disease, and a love that redeems us from the pit, redeems us from the worst moments and crowns us with the love and compassion. What kind of love is that? It's the love that's offered from you. In Jesus' name we pray, amen. Give it up for God's words, you can have a seat. The title of my message tonight is titled What Kind of Love Is This? What kind of love is this? There was a group of men around a bonfire. They were out hunting. The hunting was over for the day and they're around a bonfire and they're talking about this concept of love. What kind of love is this? And all the men are talking about the bantering they do with their wives and some of the petty things that happens between them and their wives.

And this man who's been married for 25 years, he speaks up and everyone just gets quiet. He just speaks up. He says, you know what's interesting is I've been married for 25 years and I have never gotten in an argument with my wife. And all the guys get up from the fire like, I don't believe ya, there's no way. The guy goes, no, no, I've 25 years of marriage, we've never argued before. And they go, well, how is that? You're telling me not one argument, how has that happened? He said, well, let me tell ya. It was on our honeymoon. We went to a ranch for our honeymoon. I had some horses. We put our belongings in the saddles and the bags and we saddled up and went off on our honeymoon and my wife's ahead of me on her horse. And as she's on the back of her horse, the craziest thing happens. The horse bucks her off. She gets up from falling off the horse and dusts herself off and then she does something odd. She pats the horse and she goes, that's your first time. And she gets back on the horse and I'm like, I'm newly married. Maybe she's like, who knows what I'm in for. So she gets back on the horse and they keep riding and as she's going along, the horse does it a second time.

It bucks her off and the husband's getting concerned because his new wife, brand new wife, is taking these nasty falls and she dusts herself off again. Now she's getting a little mad and she looks at the horse this time and says, that was your second time. And there's some, you know, she's getting mad and her husband's getting concerned so she gets on the horse and they ride off again and wouldn't you know it, the horse bucks her off a third time. And this time, the wife pulls out a gun and kills and shoots the horse right on the spot. She goes, that's your third time. And the husband goes, what'd you do that for? You just killed the horse, what are you doing? And she looks at him and goes, that's your first time. And ever since then, we've never had an argument. 25 years, never had an argument. What kind of love is that? That's a fun story, that's a funny story. There's a story I'll never forget. I was in the West, Western part of the US, I preach a lot in Montana, preach a lot in Wyoming and different parts of the West of the US and I'm at the West and this elderly man in a church says, I'd love to have you over for lunch, would you stop by after church? I said, I'd love to come. And this man has a house out in the country,

he's got some land, and he's got a porch with several rocking chairs on the porch. Never met this guy before. And he said, would you sit down with me in one of these rocking chairs? I'd love to share my story. The sun was setting. We have a view of the sunset. We're on this porch. This guy's got a cowboy hat on. His shirt tucked in, got a nice belt buckle, and he sits back in this rocking chair. He's got a toothpick in his mouth. And I could tell this guy had seen some things. I could tell this was a man who's been around. As you get older as a man, as you grow in age as a man, there's not many things that surprise you anymore. Because you've seen a lot of things under the sun. Ecclesiastes tells us that there's really not much anything new under the sun. This man had seen wars come and go. This man had seen pandemics come and go. This man lived in a time where the economy boomed, and he lived in a time where the economy crashed. This man had seen the highs of life. He'd seen the lows of life. And here he is in his 80s, rocking slowly back and forth in his chair. And he says, young man, I want to tell you a story of mine. I said, I'd love to listen, sir.

What do you want to tell me? He said, when I look at you, I see some of myself in you. He said, when I was a young man, I was the youngest in my family, and I had all older siblings. And my mom and dad, they loved the Lord. My siblings loved the Lord. But can I just tell you, you know what one of my favorite things was about being a teenager? I said, what? He said, some of the most powerful moments in my entire life came when I would show up to church as a teenager, and the pastor would give an altar call, and I would find myself at this altar, and I could tell you plenty of times where God met me, and I met God, and my life was transformed in those moments. And there was something about my life that I couldn't shake. The one thing I wanted most, the one thing I wanted more than anything else as a teenager, the one thing I wanted more than anything else as a college kid, the one thing I wanted more than anything else in my life is I just wanted to be where Jesus was. I just longed for God. My friends would leave church right when church was let out, or my friends would leave youth group or young adult services early, but I just wanted to be where Jesus was, and I could sense

the passion in this man's voice. He says, then I became a career man, and when I became a career man, I started experiencing success after success after success, and I worked my way up from an entry-level employee of this company to where now I became the CEO of the company, but can I tell you something? Despite all the success that I experienced and having hundreds and hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of employees under me, can I just tell you the one thing I wanted more than anything else is I just wanted to be in the presence of Jesus. And then he gets quiet. And he takes the toothpick out of his mouth. And a tear starts to roll down his face. And the rocking chair stops rocking. He said I was supposed to be gone on a work trip. I was supposed to be on a work trip, but I stayed back, and when I stayed back, ended up meeting a beautiful woman that wasn't my wife. And rather than turning away from her, I ended up getting to know her more and more. Little conversations turned into long conversations. And then before you know it, I was in a full-blown affair with this woman who was not my wife. And in one moment, the years, of just wanting to be with Jesus, one stupid moment, one immature moment, just wanting to be with Jesus.

One moment, everything, the company, my family, my children, everything gone in one moment. And I said, sir, we can be done with this story. I can tell this is hard for you. We don't need to continue on. We can be done. He said, no, I need to keep telling the rest. And at this point, he's sobbing in his chair. And he says, I decided to take life into my own hands. And the woman that I had an affair with, she was married. Young man, listen to me. Don't ever look at a woman lustfully who is not your wife. It's not worth it. I decided to hire a hitman to assassinate and take out her husband to cover any and all tracks of ever being caught and found out. And when he was gone, I encountered one of the lowest moments of my life. I lost everything. I went as far as killed a man. But can I just tell you, in my worst moment, I cried out to God. I said, God, would you forgive me? God, would you wash all my sin away? God, don't banish your Holy Spirit from me. God, don't take your presence from me. God, would you restore to me the joy of my salvation? God, would you put a right spirit within me? God, would you do a work in me? And this man is now sobbing in a rocking chair.

And he said, the same love that met me as a teenage boy, the same love that ministered to me at altars as a teenage boy was the same exact love that showed up at my worst. And he forgave all my sins. Wow. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. And then he looks at me and he goes, son, I have a question for you. What kind of love is this? And that right there was a modern day story of King David. The man who's writing Psalm 103 is writing from an old age and he's probably sitting there looking back over his life. And David's gotta be thinking as he recounts his life, what kind of love is this? What kind of love is this really? And I have three things that I want every man to know tonight on what exactly this kind of love looks like. And number one is this. It is a love that forgives all your sins.

It is a love that forgives all your sins. Psalm 103, verse two. Praise the Lord, my soul, forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your sins. We are not talking about some sins. We are not talking about specific sins. We are talking about every sin that you've ever committed. Jesus will forgive all of your sins. When we see Jesus come to this earth, keep in mind, David's writing from the Old Testament. Jesus has not come yet. Jesus isn't here yet in the Old Testament, but in the New Testament, when he comes to show us who and why and what he's about, in Mark two, he's preaching the gospel in a crowded room like this, and they cut a hole through the roof and they lower a paralyzed man on the mat. What is the first thing Jesus says to the man who's laid paralyzed? He doesn't heal him first. He says, son, your sins are forgiven. The priority of Jesus, the priority in his ministry was to forgive sinners of their sin. Every person who's ever been physically healed, every person who's experienced a physical. miracle still ends up dying one day in a grave. It's why the greatest miracle will always be those whose sins have been forgiven, those who once were lost and now are found, those who've been saved by the blood of Jesus. David, seen as a man after God's own heart, teaches every man in here a lesson

and it's this. Every man is one step away from stupid. Every man is one step away from stupid. David was supposed to be out in the battlefield performing his kingly duties. That was sin number one. He's not where he's supposed to be. Men don't wake up one day saying, today's a great day to just blow everything. Today is just a great day to ruin my life. You know where it starts? Little steps of disobedience later leads to greater tragedy. It's the little steps, it's the little things. David was in the wrong place at the wrong time and this little step of disobedience, it invited the very sin that was going to become next. David sees a woman who has no clothes on and is bathing on a roof. This is sin number two. And he sees her and he notices her. David has a choice in this moment. Do I keep staring at her or do I turn and go a different direction? David chooses to delight in the very thing he wasn't supposed to delight in. And then David commits sin number three and he goes and takes action on the very things that he saw. And he does an act of adultery. And now David is sitting here looking like this. And then David makes things worse by taking things into his own hands. And he looks like this after killing a man and hiring the death of him by putting him to the front of the military to go fight a battle where he dies. A man after his own heart looking exactly like this. And guess what he did a good job of? He did a good job covering his tracks because no one knew about it. But let me teach you a lesson that every man needs to know. God loves you so much that he will send someone to confront you of the hidden sin that no one knows about so that it can be exposed so you can be set free. That's how much he loves you. And he sends this man named Nathan. And he says there was a rich man and there was a poor man who both had sheep. And the rich man took the poor man's sheep and killed it and offered it as a meal. David hears the story. David's irate. What? The rich man did what? Surely that rich man's got to pay. He's got to pay four times over what he took. You know what David was quoting? David was quoting Exodus. Exodus lays out that when a man takes another man's sheep, when a rich man takes a poor man's sheep, what must that man do? He must pay four times over. And Nathan the prophet looks at David and says, you are that man. And David has caught cold stone.

He's caught cold in his tracks. And David says something that's true of every man in here. And David says, I have sinned against God. I've sinned against God. And it is possible there are men in here who have walked in the room looking a lot like this. You have walked in the room and it's been little steps of disobedience. It's maybe not the big tragedy yet, but there have been little steps of disobedience. And maybe you're at bag one in your life and it's just wrapped around you like this. But it's these little steps that get you off course. And before you know it, you have step number two, you have step number three till you get to the final step where now you're surrounded by trash. And there are people, if it's not you in here, there are people in the world today who are weighed down by the sins of the world. But who are we to judge lost people for acting like lost people? Who are we to judge people who are stuck in sin who know nothing of the solution? And I have a word for every man in the place. If you walked in here looking like this, or maybe you're at step one, or you have four begs on your life, if you walked in here, you need to understand something. Jesus has a promise for you, that if you will confess your sins to him, he is faithful and just to cleanse you from all unrighteousness, and he will forgive you of all of your sins. All of your sins. All of your sins. What kind of love is that? What kind of love would look at the worst of you? What kind of love would look at the worst parts of you, and yet still forgive you? Look at what the scripture says in Psalm 103 verse 8. Psalm 103 verse 8 says, the Lord is compassionate and gracious. He's slow to anger and abounding in love. There are men in here who think God's just looking to smite you, who God's just looking to judge you and wipe you out, and look at what it says. The Lord's compassionate. He's gracious. He's slow to anger. He's abounding in love. Look at what verse 10 says. For he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. Is there anybody that's thankful for the abounding love of Jesus that he does not treat us as our sins deserve? All of your sins. He forgives you of all of your sins. What kind of love is this that forgives all your sins? And then number two, what kind of love is this that heals all your diseases? He is a God who heals. You cannot say the name of Jesus and not also mention healing. Jesus is a healing God. The character of Yahweh, the character of Christ, the character of the Holy Spirit, the Father, Son, Holy Spirit, the character that marks the Trinity is he is a healer.

It's who he is. In Matthew it says Jesus healed all their infirmities. Jesus healed all their diseases. Jesus would walk around healing people. And let me just say this, all healing belongs to the Lord. Some healing can happen in a moment. Some healing can happen in an instant. And I believe tonight there will be men who get physically, who get emotionally, who get spiritually, who get mentally healed in one moment tonight. I believe that. I believe that with all my heart. But there are some men who will be on a process of healing. And this process of healing, Jesus is also in the business of process of healing, where he takes you on a journey and he heals you as you walk with him. And then there is a promise of one day forever being healed in his presence. And that's one day forever in heaven. Here's why I have hope. I know my healing could come in a moment. I know my healing could come in a process, but I do know my forever healing will one day be forever in eternity in heaven with him. It's a promise for all of us. He's a God who heals all our diseases. My daughter was with me recently and four feet away from me was a girl who was deaf in her right ear, born that way. And my daughter put her hand on this girl's deaf ear. And I watched this girl who was deaf start to freak out because my little eight-year-old girl just prayed in the name of Jesus. And I watched this deaf girl go from not hearing to have total hearing in her body. I have seen God do the impossible. I had a girl in Alaska send me x-rays of her back with scoliosis showing me proof. I had her send me the follow-up x-rays showing God radically, miraculously healed her and straightened her back completely. I have watched people who have heart conditions and heart murmurs. This just happened recently, who have sent me doctor reports saying their heart is fully healed. A couple weeks ago, I just preached in Texas, felt like God say there's someone in here who needs a medical miracle. I don't normally do this. This woman says it's me. The doctors found a big mass in my body. The doctors rushed me forward. They moved me up the line because they're concerned how big the mass is and they want to get an MRI immediately. So I have an MRI on Monday to find out how bad this mass really is, but they know it's there. And the pastor texts me on a Tuesday after I preach saying the mass is completely gone in her body. There's no sign of a mass whatsoever. And this is crazy. This is a picture of my eight-year-old sister. Her name's Victoria. When my dad divorced our family, my mom was tucking her in bed one night and they found a 6 inch by 8 inch tumor wrapped around her femur bone. When they biopsy, they found out it was stage 4 synovial cell sarcoma cancer

and the doctors looked at my sister and said you have a 20% chance to live. The tumors spread from her legs to her lungs. They had to take out all four quadricep muscles just to get the tumor out of her body. And the doctors did everything medically they could do. All the chemotherapy, all the radiation her body could handle, she went through over 13 surgeries on her lungs just to get the tumors out. And Make-A-Wish Foundation showed up to give our family one last wish before my sister died. For two years, we've been praying for a miracle and nothing. For two years, believing God would heal her disease and nothing. We go to have a Make-A-Wish trip and we come back and she doesn't have much to live. An evangelist came to my church like this and he looked at my 10 year old sister now and said one day, young lady, you're going to come to my church in Tennessee and you're going to give a testimony of how God has healed you of your cancer. We went to the doctor to go take more scans to find where the tumors had gone and when they held up the scans, they revealed there were no more tumors in her body whatsoever. She's been cancer free for over 25 years. He's a God who heals all your diseases. He's a God who forgives all your sins. That is who he is. What kind of love is this? It's the love that only Jesus can do. It's the power of Jesus. A love that heals all your diseases. The doctors told my sister when she was a child, they looked at her and said, you might not ever get pregnant because the chemotherapy and radiation is going to kill your chances of ever conceiving a baby. My sister married a man by the name of Brett Norris. They tried for years to have a baby and every time she held up a pregnancy test, it was a reminder of what the doctors told her as an eight and ten-year-old girl. It was a reminder of what the doctors told her as an eight and ten-year-old that she

wouldn't be able to conceive, that it has ruined her chances of getting pregnant. For years, no baby. For years, no sign of baby. The pregnancy test always negative. I got to hold my sister's miracle baby. This is her miracle baby right here. She now, she now has two children and her first born, her husband's name is Brett Norris. She named her first son Chuck Norris. Chuck Norris! I just love that Satan's got to watch this boy grow up named Chuck Norris and he's literally marked by a miracle of Jesus. To all the ten-year-old boys in the room who are like, Dad, what's Chuck Norris? Why are you laughing, Dad? What's that? Just hop on AI, just hop on chat and just type in Chuck Norris. Thank me later. Watch all the seasons. Before you know it, you'll be walking into middle school being like, I'm here! Chuck Norris! What kind of love is this? He's a God who forgives all your sins. He's a God who forgives all your sins. What kind of love is this? He's a God who forgives all your sins, man. He's a God who heals all your diseases. And then number three is this. It's a love that redeems the worst moments. It's a love that redeems the worst moments. It says in Psalms 103 verse 4 that he redeems your life from the pit.

He redeems your life from the pit. This word redeem means to buy back. He's literally saying, have you ever found yourself in a pit? Have you ever found yourself in a dark place? Have you ever found yourself in a place that you regret? Have you ever found yourself in a place that was your worst moment? You need to understand something. He is the God of redemption. He is the God who buys backs. The worst things that you think about are the very things God wants to redeem and put his spirit within you in. It's who Jesus is. He redeems the worst moments. And then it says this, that he crowns you with love and compassion. He crowns you with a love and compassion. Can you put that picture up of my sister? I want to show all the men something. You see that living room right there? That was my childhood living room. There's two other sisters not in the picture. In that very house, in that very living room, that was where my dad sat me and my three sisters down in our living room and told us kids that he would never step foot inside a church again. My dad was a pastor. Kevin, I can relate deeply to so much of your story. My dad was a pastor. He fell away from the faith. In that very living room, I watched my dad get arrested and brought to jail because of an altercation with my mom.

In that very living room, I watched my dad yell, scream, and fight. In that living room, I would see my dad stumbling home drunk, two o'clock, three o'clock in the morning. In that living room, where's where the cancer diagnosis was given to us as a family that our sister was possibly gonna die. Some of the worst moments of my life were right there in that living room. But let me tell you how Jesus works. That same house was the same house that my wife and I bought in 2016. You know what it's a reminder of for me? It's not a reminder of the trauma. It's not a reminder of the past sin. It's not a reminder of the worst moments. You know what it reminds me of? It reminds me of the grace of Jesus that forgave all my sins, that healed all my diseases, and that redeemed and bought back from the worst moments, that God did that for me. And one day, my two kids will know of the story that God did in a broken teenager's life that redeemed it and brought it from death to life. The very worst moments of your life, the things you're the most ashamed of, the things that you hate from your past are the very things God loves to flip upside down. What the devil meant for evil, God can flip it and turn it for good.

You know what Psalm 107 verse two says? It says, let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story. And here is David, a man after God's own heart. God, one thing I want most, Psalm 27 four, the one thing I want most is just to be in the house of the Lord forever. Better is one day in your courts. Better is one day in your house. I just want to be in your presence, God. And then he royally screws it all up. And in Psalm 51, restore the joy, restore the joy. God, take the worst things. God, would you redeem it? And here's David writing in old age, probably on a rocking chair, looking at a sunset in the palace, reflecting on the goodness and on the faithfulness and on the character of his God, who forgave him of all of it, who healed him and who redeemed his life from the pit. If there's any man stuck in a pit tonight, you don't have to stay there anymore. If there's any man stuck in the sin in the darkness, you don't have to stay there anymore. What kind of love is this that would forgive all your diseases? What kind of love is this that would forgive you of all your sins, heal your diseases and redeem your life

from the worst moments? I'll tell you what, it's called the big so what? What's the whole point of this message? And it's this, only Jesus can offer this kind of love. Only Jesus can offer this kind of love. You can't find it through a bottle. You won't find it through a vape. You won't find it through a digital image on a screen or on your phone. You won't find it through anything else. The only place you can find that kind of love is through the love of Jesus. Men, do you remember when I told you when David looks at Nathan and says, he's got to pay back four times. What is he doing? And Nathan goes, yeah, that's you, David. Do you realize something? Do you realize David actually paid for it four times? David experienced four deaths. and he had to pay. Death number one was the death of Bathsheba's child. The child that he had with the woman he had an affair with. That child died, that's death number one. Death number two was the death of Amnon, David's son. Amnon was killed by a woman's brother that he raped. Death number three, the death of Absalom. Absalom tries to backstab his dad and is killed in the process. Death number four, the death of Adonijah.

He claims himself as the next king and Solomon orders his execution. Four deaths. David prophesied it and didn't realize that the four deaths he'd incur. Men, listen to me. If we were still living in the Old Testament, we'd still be having to pay and offer up all these sacrifices. But can I tell all the men in the room in here something? The sins that you're ashamed of, the sins that you've committed, you no longer have to pay for it because there was someone who offered himself up for you, that he so loved you, that he would forgive you, he would heal you, he would redeem you and Jesus would buy it all back. He paid the price for you. What kind of love is this? It's the love of Jesus. There doesn't need to be any more death. There's enough death in the world. There doesn't need to be any more sin. He paid for it. If every man in the room could quietly stand, this is gonna be the best part of the whole message. Please don't talk to your neighbor. There are men who have walked in the room and right now this is a picture of you. And I came six hours away

to tell a bunch of men in the room, God did not desire you to be a sinner. God did not desire you to be a sinner. God did not desire you to be a sinner. God did not desire you to be a sinner. God did not design you to look like this. God didn't look, God didn't make you to look like this. God designed you to run this race in such a way to throw off all the sin that easily entangles you, to run a race in such a way to win the prize. And tonight, the most important thing in this entire room is this. Is have you surrendered? Have you surrendered? Because what Christ wants to do is he wants to forgive you of all your sin. And he wants everything that you've walked in with to be dealt with. On the count of three, I want every man to leave their seat that needs to respond to this altar call and meet me right down front. You need to surrender your whole life to Jesus. You're in a dark place, you're stuck in sin. If you just heard a whole message about the love of Jesus for you, one. Two, I want you to leave your seat. Three, come right now. Just leave your seat, come right now. From the top of the balcony, come.

Meet me at this altar. You need to get right with God. You need to surrender your whole life to Jesus. Your whole entire life. You need to surrender it. I'm gonna wait 30 more seconds because you were supposed to come, but you didn't come. I'm gonna wait 30 more seconds. You were supposed to come, but you didn't come. This is for you. You were not meant to carry it. You were meant to be forgiven. Meant to be free. I'm gonna wait 20 more seconds. From the balcony to the main floor, you just make your way down. I'm gonna wait 15 more seconds. 10. I'm gonna wait five more seconds. Five, four, three, two, one. Five, four, three, two, one. One. If every man in this place could close their eyes for a second. Paul prays in Ephesians 3. God I pray they know how high, how deep, and how wide the love of Jesus is for them. I'm not gonna lead you in a prayer yet. I'm intentionally taking a moment for you to see how much Jesus loves you. Some of you men need to know how loved you are, how deeply loved you are by him. He loves you. He loves you. He loves you. He loves you. He loves you. As you close your eyes, I want you to picture what happens in Luke 15. There's a son who's gone missing from his father. He's left everything. He's

He's spoiled everything. And the moment he turns back to his father, it says the father in the story starts running towards his son. As your eyes are closed right now, I want you to picture Jesus running towards you. Picture Jesus running towards you. Fathers weren't supposed to run in the scriptures. It was embarrassing. It was shameful. Jesus is running towards you because that's how much he loves you. He's running towards you. He crowns you with his love and compassion. And I just want you to picture Jesus giving you the biggest hug. He's just holding you. He's ministering to you. This is what the father does. He celebrates when he sees his son come home. He celebrates when he sees his son step back home. He loves you. He loves you. He loves you. What kind of love is this? That would die in a cross. I want you to picture Jesus outstretched on a cross. Real love is a man that would lay down his life for his friends. You want to know how much Jesus loves you? Look at the cross. You want to know how much Jesus cares about you? Look at what he did for you on the cross. You didn't have to pay that. He already did. You want to know how much he loves you? Listen to his words. Father, forgive them for they know not what they do. He loves you. He loves you. He loves you. Just keep your eyes closed. I just want every man in this place to repeat after me. Every man just say, Jesus, thank you for paying the price that I deserve to pay. Thank you for dying on the cross so I could be forgiven of all my sins. Would you forgive me of all my sins? Would you wash me and make me as white as snow? I receive your forgiveness. I receive your love. Help me to follow you all the days of my life. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
