Living With a Warrior Mentality - Louie Giglio

This collection has been so powerful the last two weeks, amazing. Just a small footnote, the last two weeks I'm so glad we got to hear the messages that we heard. And if you did not hear the message last week that Grant brought, you owe it to yourself and your future and your family to go and hear and be under the teaching of that message and all the messages in this collection. I was preaching at our church in D.C. last Sunday, Passion City Church, D.C. They're doing phenomenal, by the way, and thriving in our nation's capital. Shelly and I were there for the US Conference on Saturday, and I preached there on Sunday. And a week before, I was preaching for a friend of mine in Texas. I don't normally tell you all this stuff, but I just figured I want you to know. I wasn't just sitting at home, hanging around. I don't preach very many times on Sunday. Maybe twice a year would I preach at a different church on a Sunday morning because I have a church to preach at on Sunday morning. But this guy is a close friend of mine, and I discipled him when he was a college student at Baylor back in the 90s, and he's been in ministry for a bit. He and some friends planted a church. They celebrated their 20th anniversary on Sunday. Church in East Dallas with several locations. They all came together, about 7,000 of them for this Sunday together, and it was really powerful, and I was honored to do it and to be a part of it, really humbling. And so that's where I was, but I'm so glad that the Joshua Collection has gone on strong. Today we're coming to Joshua chapter 12, if you have your scripture. And it's going to be a powerful, powerful moment. Lord, thank you for not leaving us to our own opinions or the opinions of other people, to whatever podcast we can get our hands on. Thank you that you have spoken to us directly through your word so that whatever wisdom we need, whatever correction we need, whatever encouragement we need, whatever vision we need, you've already spoken to us. And so I say it again today, as I've said it many times here,

none of us need a person's opinion. But all of us today need to hear from you. So I'm asking you and trusting you and depending on you by the power of the Holy Spirit to bring this word to life today in our hearts and to open every eye to see Jesus. I trust that you're going to do that. I am counting on you, and I thank you in advance. In Jesus' name. As we look back a few weeks at this collection, there's an idea that's been underpinning a lot of the direction. And the idea has been this, that it's not just important that you make a profession of faith. What God is interested in in our lives is that we have the possession of our faith. You know what I'm saying by that? In other words, it is important that you make a profession of faith. We're celebrating people in baptism today who made a profession of faith. They came to a moment of realizing, I need a Savior, and there is one named Jesus, and I want to put my full faith, my full trust in Him. But for a lot of people along the way in their spiritual life, that's kind of the end of the story. And what God is wanting us to understand in Joshua is, no, that's the beginning of the story. Let me put it in practical terms. We have babies, toddlers in bloom today at Passion City Church, right? But the goal is not that they will stay in bloom all their lives. The goal is that they'll go to Passion Kids. And the goal in Passion Kids isn't that they'll stay in Passion Kids. It's that they will go to Passion Students. And the goal in Passion Students is that they will go to YA or to YP at some point. They will become a door holder, that they will mature and grow up, and that they will actually ultimately reproduce themselves into the lives of other people. And what Joshua is saying is that Christian life isn't about just professing faith and going,

Hey, if I die tonight, I know for sure I'd go to heaven. If you asked me if I'm saved, I would say I'm saved, but I'm still in bloom. The goal is for us to cross the river and to take hold of the promise that God has made to us for our lives. Yes, profess faith. A few people just did that in this gathering. But ultimately, the profession of faith leads us to the possession of faith. Have you ever heard somebody talk about a man or a woman and say that they're a millionaire on paper? Does anybody know that, ever heard that expression before? No, what that means probably is that they have equity in a company, or they have part ownership of a company, or they have stock in a company, and on paper, they're a millionaire. In other words, my equity in this company is more than a million dollars. The stock that I have in this company is worth more than a million dollars. But if you went to them right now and said, hey, I need 800 grand, they'd be like, I don't have 800 grand. I thought you were a millionaire. No, I'm a millionaire on paper. But I can't go and open the safe and produce $800,000 cash for you right now. I'd have to go sell the company, or I would have to cash in my stock, or somehow I'd have to get off paper,

and to use another finance term, and get liquid. You know, anybody following me here? There's one thing about paper worth, and then there's another thing about liquid worth. Like, I've got the cash in the bank, or under the mattress, or in the safe. I have the cash. And what God is wanting to say today is if you're in Christ, you're a trillionaire on paper. You have so much in your account on paper. Everything in this book is true about you on paper. But it's possible that you could be an heir of the king and die having lived like a pauper. It's possible that you could be in chains right now, even though you have actually been set free. And what God is wanting to do for all of us today is lead us over our Jordan River and off of the paper worth that we have promised to us in Christ, and to actually walk in and possess all of what God has promised to us in our lives so that now we're living in the promise. We went from being paper trillionaires to being liquid trillionaires because we actually took a step of faith. That's what Joshua is all about. But it's a history book, if you remember. And the history lesson Joshua is teaching us

is that this process of going from paper to liquid, from what God has promised to what we've possessed isn't gonna be an easy process. We come to chapter 12, and I won't spend a ton of time in the text, but I'm guessing, I'm just guessing if you have a real print and paper Bible today that there's not a lot of highlighting going on in Joshua chapter 12. It is history. And the history of Joshua chapter 12 is the crossing of the Jordan. And what he's saying, basically, I'll kind of break it down to us. Here's the Jordan River coming right down here, is that while Moses was leading the people up out of the wilderness to this point of crossing, they had defeated two kings. So over here, two kings had gone down. We see this at the opening part of chapter 12. These are the kings of the land whom the Israelites had defeated and whose territory they took over east of the Jordan. Shayan, the king of the Amorites, and then down here, the territory of Og, who was the king of Bashan. So two kings have already gone down. On our way to the river, before we even got to the promised land, we had to defeat two kings.

But now Moses has died, Joshua is leading the people, they cross in to the promised land, and now there's a whole lot more to be done. Moses, the servant of the Lord, verse six, and the Israelites conquered them. And then he talks about giving their land to some of the tribes. But now we're moving over to the promised land, and we're in. This lands includes all the hill country, the western foothills, the Arabah, the mountain slopes, the wilderness, and the Negev. These were the lands of the, here's all these people we've been hearing about all this time, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, the Jebusites, all these people that we've got to fight now. And so we saw a few weeks ago, King of Jericho came down, one king. There he is, right there, we're counting him up. Then we went to Ai, got our lives right with God, and now Ai, that king has been defeated, one king, we're two kings in. And you might be thinking. King, wow, we did the walls of Jericho and they came down. We gave the shout and God gave us a victory. Then we got our stuff together and we defeated AI. Surely we're in. They did two kings over there. We've done two kings over here and we're good.

Let's just, you know, settle in for a good life in the land of milk and honey. And God said, no, just one more. We're gonna do the King of Jerusalem, Hebron, Jarmuth, Lachish, Eklat, and Gezer, Debir, Gedir, Hormat, you get the idea. Let's just cut to the chase. Last one was Tirzah. Joshua, my friends, defeated, can you say it with me? 31 kings in all. To go from the profession, God's giving us this land. To the possession, 31 kings. So that's saying to me today that if I wanna fully possess the promise of God in my life, that I need to have a warrior mentality, not a warm and fuzzy mentality. It's okay for me to have my calming app that helps me meditate on the Lord. But that's not the extent of my mindset because I have to go in now and possess this land. And what Joshua was teaching me, there's gonna be battle after battle. And after that victory, there's gonna be another victory. And after that victory, another victory. And after that victory, another victory. And I'm gonna keep marching from victory to victory to victory until I step over the ultimate Jordan River into the ultimate promised land, into the heaven that God has prepared for us. And on this side of it, I need a warrior mentality, amen?

So what does that look like? Number one, the warrior knows that they're in a battle. I love that Grant was saying that last week. A warrior knows that they're not on a cruise, but that they're in a battle. That doesn't mean that you can't go out to dinner. We do it all the time. Doesn't mean you can't enjoy the world that God has made and travel, we do it all the time. Doesn't mean you can't go play pickleball with your friends. We don't do that all the time. It doesn't mean that you can't take a deep breath and collapse in your favorite chair and read a book. It just means that your mentality is, I'm in a battle. I'm in a spiritual battle and I need to have a warrior mentality. A friend of ours and their family and some extended circumstances in their lives were really, really, really challenging. The enemy was just coming through every single door and we were with them in part of that season. And she said to me, the wife of this couple, she said, yeah, only thing I know to do is I just have taken up archery. And I go out in the backyard and I put up my targets and this one just getting put up. And I just take aim with the word of God and believe God and speak God's word over our situation. And you might not can see it, but on the target, it's written across the top,

no weapon formed against me will prosper. We can give an amen to that by the way, if you feel it. And then across the bottom, greater is he who is in me than he who is in the world. And she said, I go back there in my backyard and I'm thinking about all the ways the enemy's coming against us right now. And I just draw back my arrow. And I just imagine that I'm shooting it right into the heart of the evil plans and I confess God's word and shoot my arrows. I proclaim God's word and shoot my arrows. I just speak what God has promised and shoot my arrows. I'm just aiming right at and saying God's will is gonna prevail in my life. That is a mom with a warrior mentality. So I'm not saying you need to go down to Dick's Sporting Goods this afternoon and you know, get an archery set, but you do have to understand that you're in a battle. When Joshua stepped over, he didn't step over going, well, okay, we're gonna put the lawn chairs over here. The fire pit's going right here. We're gonna have a little tiki lounge vibe happen over here. This is fantastic. When he stepped over, he knew he was going to have to face. challenges and battles. It's like Paul, our hero, he said at the end of his life, for I'm already being poured out like a drink offering

and the time for my departure is near. The time for my departure is near. This is 2 Timothy 4. That's a great way of saying, by the way, I'm gonna die soon. But isn't it a cooler way to say I'm gonna die soon? I got a flight like at 1.30. So I need to head to the airport because my departure's coming quick. But I'm encouraged because verse seven, I have fought the good, what? Fight. I finished the race. I've kept the faith. I have fought the good fight. Now we're all fighting fights. Hello? They're not all that fantastic. They don't all need to be written about in the annals of history. Some of you are fighting against that guy in your HOA right now. We probably don't need to record that for all of human history. Some of you are fighting that cranky person at your job right now. Some of you are fighting that person in your family right now. There are a lot of fights going on in the world, but Paul is saying there's a good fight.

And I'm not saying getting your variance for your fence isn't good. I'm just saying that they're high-value fights. Namely, taking the gospel of Jesus to the world. And he's saying, I have fought that good fight. In other words, it wasn't a cakewalk. It wasn't a play date. It was requiring of me a warrior mentality. He's also showing us, though, that the warrior is fixated on the victory. In other words, the warrior doesn't get sidetracked by the battle. The warrior is focused on the victory. He says, now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day. And not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing. My eyes are on the horizon. And I don't know how many kings gotta come down until I get there, but I am focused on the ultimate victory in my life. Where did he learn this? He learned it from Jesus. Therefore, since we're surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, Hebrews tells us, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin, there we are last week with Grant, that so easily entangles.

And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. So I'm not trying to run the race marked out for you, by the way. I'm just trying to run the race marked out for me. I don't get a prize for running your race. I only get a prize for running my race. So I'm not gonna get sidetracked by going, oh my goodness, look at what they're doing. I'm like, God, am I doing what I'm supposed to be doing? Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. Look at this, for the joy set before him, he endured the cross. Do you think it was easy fighting the good fight at Calvary? Well, how did he do it? How did he have that warrior mentality? And you understand the warrior mentality doesn't mean that he's going in, you know, all buffed up with a cutoff tank top and just knocking people out all the way down the way to Calvary. No, he looks like a sheep being led to slaughter, but oh, don't be mistaken by that because in his heart of hearts, he's fighting a war of wars. And he has this mentality that says, I'm looking at the victory. For the joy set before him, he endured the cross, scorning at shame and then sat down

at the right hand of the throne of God. He was thinking about you. He was thinking about you coming from death to life. He was thinking about his father getting glory. He was thinking about showing the world that this God, our God, me as God, we're not like all the other gods. He was thinking about eternity, heaven, a celebration. He was thinking about all of that when he was facing the fight. And he was focused on the victory. A warrior never settles until he's done. they settle in glory. I was thinking about this when you go back one verse from Joshua 12 that all these kings two over there and 31 over here this is the last verse it says so Joshua took the entire land just as the Lord had directed Moses and he gave it as an inheritance to Israel according to their tribal divisions then the land had rest from war that's what we're looking for but I ask a question is Joshua teaching us in this verse that there's going to be a day on earth that we get our 31 kings out of the way and then we have rest from war or is he teaching us that the ultimate rest from war isn't going to happen in this life it's going to happen in the life to come and that's where we are going to realize how great heaven is because in heaven there are no fights to fight anymore no come on in heaven there's rest on every side right and so in until we get to heaven yes we have rest in Christ and we'll close with that today but we're not going to have rest on every side because we know we're in a fight and what is that fight what we talked about number one that fight is your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion seeking someone to devour and whether you choose to be in a fight or not you're in one because a you're created in the image of God and b you're redeemed by God and so this fallen angel who is anti the glory of God and knows that he can't actually hurt God now and the limited freedom he has on this broken earth wants to hurt the people that God loves the thief comes to steal he comes to kill he comes to destroy why why is he after me I haven't

bugged him he's after you because you're made in the image of the God that he despises and he's after you because God loves you and he can wound the heart of God by wounding the people that God loves his plan the enemy is not to annoy you his plan is to destroy you and until glory he's not going to stop and so the warrior mentality is that I'm not going to settle amen until I settle in glory it's a long obedience in the same direction Eugene Peterson it's realizing it's the ultimate victory that I want to live in and live for therefore when I do live for therefore when I do have a lull a setback a disappointment I'm not going to let it be solo and when I have a victory I'm not going to make it so high I'm going to go praise God for what he's done now I just I'm not going to settle with what God did I want to stay focused on the ultimate prize and when we have a setback we don't go oh my gosh I'm just going to capitulate into the setback because we go okay that was a setback but I'm going to stay focused on the ultimate victory I'm not going to settle until I settle in glory the fourth thing a warrior does is a warrior counts the cost we don't talk about that as much in church anymore but Jesus talked about it and he wanted to make sure we understood what we were signing up for when we yielded our lives and surrender to him he said count the cost take up your cross every day and follow me realize this is going to require everything that you have even Paul we were just talking about him fighting the good fight here's what the for him fighting the good fight looked like it might not look like this for you but it looked like this for him they ended up in this city called Lystra on their journey to spread the gospel to the known world of that time this is found in Acts 14 and that there was a person there a man there who had a son who was demon possessed and the demon would throw the kid into the fire they'd have to grab the kid out of the fire the demon would throw him into the water trying to drown him and this had been going on for years and years and years. And finally, the father brings the boy to Jesus followers and says, please help my son. And so they try to cast the demon out of the son. I'm actually jumping to another story. So let me come back to that one. So he goes into this town and he heals a man in this town.

And when he heals him, the crowd thinks that Paul and his companion Barnabas are gods because there's a temple nearby. And they think one of them is Zeus and one of his Hermes. And they're like, oh my gosh, these are the gods come down. They just healed this man. And so they start bringing sacrifices to them. And they just say, no, no, no, no, no. We're just human beings. God is the one doing this. But the crowd's rising up and saying, no, these men are some kind of gods come down. And finally, they're trying to convince them that it's not that, but then something else happens. Verse 19, there were other groups that didn't like the gospel going forth. And so some Jews came from Antioch and Iconium and they won the crowd over. How'd they do that? By saying these men are preaching a false gospel. These men are preaching something that's not true. And so they stoned Paul and they dragged him outside the city thinking he was dead. In other words, in their estimation, he's done. We don't want this blasphemers dead body in our town. So they dragged Paul outside the city limits and leave him there. Thank goodness that guy's finished. But interestingly, after the disciples had gathered around him, Paul got up.

Now we don't know what happened. Maybe he was dead and God revived him. We'd see that happen with Lazarus. Maybe he just was so unconscious from getting pummeled to near death that it took him a while to come to again. But he comes to. And do you know what he does when he comes to? He goes back into the city. I don't know why. I left my cloak, guys. I need to get it. My favorite pin is there. Hey, that one lady that I was talking to about the gospel, I think she was 20 seconds away from putting her faith in Jesus. I wanna finish that conversation. We don't know why he went back in the city, but he turns around from being stoned to near death and goes back to where he came from. Why? Because he had a warrior mentality. I am on a mission from God and I'm going back to where I came from. Even though I've had a pretty major setback here, I'm going back. I've counted the cost. I understand what it's gonna take for me to fulfill what God has given me to do. Now, most of us are not gonna have to, at least in the near future,

endure this kind of an outcome. But I do want us to always remember, there are brothers and sisters of ours who are enduring this kind of an outcome while we're in this gathering. And they have counted the cost. Now, I do get this next line, the next day he and Barnabas left for Derby. They weren't buying a condo in Lystra. But he had that mentality that we have to have. Some of us, when we have one setback in our face, we are ready to cash it in. We have one big, huge disappointment at church and we're like. And we have to have a warrior mentality. Number five, the warrior fights with prayer and fasting. That's how Jesus fought. Before he did one thing, Jesus went into the wilderness and did what? He fasted for 40 days and 40 nights. He went into the wilderness and did what? He fasted for 40 days and 40 nights. He prayed for 40 days and 40 nights. So the story that I was jumping ahead to earlier is found in Mark 9. Man with a son, demon possessed, and brings them to Jesus' followers and they start praying and calling on the name of Jesus, but they can't cast the demon out of the boy. And Jesus shows up and the guy says,

man, they couldn't do it. And Jesus is like, ah. And he cast the demon right out of man's son. And later, the disciples are with Jesus, and they say, how did you do that, and why couldn't we do that? And he said, because, this is the last part of that story, verse 29, he said to them, this kind, so there's some kind of battles you fight that can only come out by prayer and fasting. Jesus, it says about him in the gospel, when he returned from the 40 days and 40 nights of praying and fasting, he returned, it says, in the power of the spirit. So when he encountered this demon in this man's son, he's just like, pooh, I cast you out of him, come out, and the demon obeys. And I think there could be a fight you're facing today, and you've tried a lot, you've prayed about it, you prayed on it, your friend prayed on it, but maybe what God's saying to you today is you need to war your mentality, and you need to fast about it. You need to fast and pray. You can't, on this one, just pray and pray. You need to fast and pray. You need to get serious in your mind. You need to come around this for a prolonged period of time until you gain the upper hand in this fight.

One of your 31 kings, or maybe 20 of your 31 kings, they're gonna take prayer and fasting, and they're gonna take you counting the cost. We get that, don't we? We get counting the cost for other things. I was thinking today about a mom, maybe you're in this gathering, and you could say, I get that, that's me, and right now, you're in online school at night, and once things get quiet at your house, you're at your computer taking some online course because you know that's important for what you wanna do in your particular career. And tonight, you're gonna be in online class tonight, and then you're gonna wake up tomorrow and feed your family and pack up some lunches and go to your job, and then you're gonna come home tomorrow and possibly be in the online class again tomorrow night because you understand that where you wanna go in your business requires that extra degree, and you've counted the cost, and you're willing to pay it. There's others in this gathering, and you're gonna be up before the sun tomorrow, and you're gonna be doing all manner of things out there, trying to lower your time, improve your score, put on a little bit of extra frame, because for you, you know to get where you wanna be in your sport, you've got to take the extra step. You have counted the cost.

But we rarely transfer that kind of mindset into our spiritual growth. And when it comes to our spiritual growth, it's like I'll pray if I can, I'll get in the Word if I have time, I'll get in that discipleship group if it fits into my schedule, I'll even be in the gathering if I'm in town, and you have to get a different mentality. You say, I gotta count the cost, and part of the cost on this one is I'm gonna have to fast and pray. Some of you have a situation with a kid right now, a son or a daughter, just like that man did, and somehow God's lighting a bulb in your heart today saying, oh, okay, we've prayed, but we haven't fasted and prayed, and I'm not sure I even know exactly what that is, but I'm gonna find out, and we're gonna get in the fight. The warrior, a couple more, we're closing, walks by faith, the warrior has a different spirit. Joshua and Caleb were sent out as the spies, but 10 of them, they did not have faith in God to do it, but Joshua and Caleb did, and it says in Numbers 14 about Caleb, this is the whole context, by the way, of the spies going in and coming back and trying to sow seeds of doubt in the hearts of the people, but then it says, verse 24, but because of my servant Caleb has a different spirit and follows me wholeheartedly, I will bring him into the land he went to and his descendants will inherit it. We're talking about generational fruit

from a faithful heart. My servant Caleb, what does it say? Has a different spirit. I went back yesterday and read the list of all the 12 spies, they're all listed in this text, chapter before, and granted, we're living in the West, if we were living in the Middle East, it would be slightly different, but I just, I went down and on my. computer and I typed in all their names who are famous people named who are famous people named there were hardly any famous people named any of those ten dudes names and if I read them out right now you've never heard of any of them but can I see a show of hands does anybody here know anyone named Caleb does anyone in this gathering Cumberland know anyone named Joshua could I see a show of hands ten guys you've never heard of two guys anybody in here named Joshua anybody in here named Caleb this guy's first name's Joshua second names Caleb Joshua Caleb whatever last name no that was two people over there's two people over right there and this guy in the middle you might have one of those other names I don't know I don't want to get too far down into all this what's your name Christian that great and there's a young lady right here her name's Martha and right next to her is Mary she's Mary what's your name Oh Maria Caleb had a different spirit man I want God to come through this house today and say you see her she's got a different spirit all these other people wilted at the challenge that guy not him he's got a different spirit and what is the spirit it is the spirit of faith in what God has said he's going to do the warrior walks by faith and that warrior spirit and Caleb and in you never fades it's not on a timeline like Western thinking you do this in this season of life this in this season of life this in this season of life and then in this season of life you just chill that is not the

warrior spirit the warrior spirit never fades when you go and we're almost on the ground here when you go to Joshua 14 and we might see this this is talking about Caleb now then just as the Lord promised he's kept me alive for 45 years alive from what from the moment that he said this to Moses so we went in we spied the land I had a different spirit and I thought we should go with God but I got overruled and we didn't but here I am 45 years later so it's 40 then 45 years have passed so here I am today 85 years old now I don't have time but are there any 85 year old or up people in this gathering yes can you still lift your hand yes awesome a lot of people pointing congratulations one any others any others anybody Cumberland anybody 85 or up okay news flash a lot of people make it 85 God bless you I am 85 years old but listen to this I am still as strong today as the day Moses sent me out I'm just as vigorous to go out to battle now as I was then now give me this hill country that the Lord promised me that day you yourselves heard then that the Antiquites were there these giants were there and their cities were large and fortified but the Lord helping me I will drive them out just as he said one translation says that Caleb said give me this mountain because I know a lot A lot of people don't want that mountain because those are the giants and the fortified cities. And it'd be easier to pick one with a little bit smaller people and a little less high walls, but give me the biggest one. Give me the biggest challenge. Give me the biggest fight because I'm just as vigorous today as I was then. And I don't think he was saying, I haven't slowed down at all. My vision hasn't, you know, deteriorated slightly. What he was saying was my vigor is my faith

and my faith hasn't faded and my fight is still active. And I am just as much a warrior at 85 as I was at 45. I'm telling you, some of the people that I know who are the strongest people in the fight today are 85 plus years old. One of them might be in this gathering online right now. And I want to be surrounded by people like that because I want to look at him because it's a picture that the warrior spirit never fades. A lot of us are just trying to get over the hill and go, okay, I'm good. That's not the warrior spirit. Lastly, I close with the most important thing about the warrior. The warrior realizes that the warrior has gone before them. The warrior realizes that the warrior has gone before him. Remember, Joshua is not a man about a man. Joshua is a picture of the life of a man and the people of God led by that man. But Joshua is a picture of Jesus. In fact, the name Jesus comes from Joshua. And Joshua means the Lord saves. And so the warrior goes into every fight against all 31 kings, knowing that my king has gone before me into every fight that I'm going to fight and my king is undefeated. He has never, ever lost a fight. When he faced depression, he won.

When he faced anxiety, he won. When he faced being stabbed in the back, he won. When he faced being misunderstood, he won. When he faced the cross, he won. He won, he won, he won, he won every single fight. He won, he won that one and that one and that one and that one and that one and that one and that one and that one and that one. He's won every single fight that he's ever faced in his life. He's undefeated, my king and when I'm walking forward into the fight, I know that he's already won the fight. That's why Paul wrote, the guy who went back into the city, whether we face hardship or persecution or famine or the sword or nakedness or whatever obstacle, whatever challenge, whatever difficulty, no matter what we face, these is his words, we are more than conquerors in Christ. So we're walking in knowing the battle's already won and we've just got to step in in faith, in obedience to what Christ has already won. You're like, yeah, but sometimes you don't win, Louie. Stephen, for example, a few chapters earlier before Paul got stoned, he got stoned for preaching the gospel and he died. He did not get revived. You're like, sometimes it doesn't end well,

but listen, the warrior knows that even if on earth, you lose, you win. It said when he died, he saw Jesus standing at the right hand of God. The moment it looked like he lost and the warrior didn't go before him and win the battle. is the greatest victory he ever was a part of. When the king called death was overcome and heaven stood and applauded his warrior spirit till the very, very end. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, come on church. This is, this is, this is, this is Joshua. It's not gonna be easy for you to possess your land, but it's gonna be worth it. Jesus, thank you. Mighty warrior, king of kings, defeater of enemies, thank you. We love you today and we're so grateful today that we are living in victory that you have already accomplished for us. I pray that you would awaken moms and dads and sons and daughters today to the possibility that they can move from victim hood
