Peace in the Greek is eiro means “ harmony, quietness, rest, and to imply prosperity”.

On that same day [when] evening had come, He said to them, Let us go over to the other side [of the lake]. And leaving the throng, they took Him with them, [just] as He was, in the boat [in which He was sitting]. And other boats were with Him. And a furious storm of wind [of hurricane proportions] arose, and the waves kept beating into the boat, so that it was already becoming filled. But He [Himself] was in the stern [of the boat], asleep on the [leather] cushion; and they awoke Him and said to Him, Master, do You not care that we are perishing? And He arose and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, Hush now! Be still (muzzled)! And the wind ceased (sank to rest as if exhausted by its beating) and there was [immediately] a great calm (a perfect peacefulness). He said to them, Why are you so timid and fearful? How is it that you have no faith (no firmly relying trust)? And they were filled with great awe and feared exceedingly and said one to another, Who then is this, that even wind and sea obey Him? Peace is when time doesn’t matter as it passes by.

For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. (Romans 14:17 KJV)

For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

today on power in the world because he said I come that you might have life and have life more abundantly it's not about dwelling here or going to heaven but he never talked about the afterlife he only talked about the life that's in us that Zoe kind of life that's on the inside of us we live and we move and we have our being and it brings righteous peace and joy in the Holy Spirit and now I've got a leader and somebody inside me teaching me all things and bringing all things to remember so when the enemy wants to come against my mind there's something on the inside of me it's gonna speak to me and give me peace in my mind so that my external rim can't dominate me I'm only dominated me by who I am in him welcome to power in the world today our society seeks happiness in many ways but happiness does not bring peace on the contrary peace brings happiness and contentment well today dr. way we lose our peace we lose it well if you lose your peace when things don't go your way you really never had it okay now think about it a minute so if we understand the person of the Holy Spirit then he's going to be the umpire in our lives that gives us peace when the questions arise who's going to answer the questions you are correct by what's inside of you now watch this in that peaceful state to which as members of Christ one body you were also cold called to live and be thankful appreciative giving praise to God always so I've got to come to a point that I have absolutely peace in my life regardless and it's the people sitting here tonight and I can look at you and tell you ain't got no peace because your mind ain't here your mind is on what's going on outside the door you're here because it's the thing to do now I don't mean that critical think about your mind how fast is that mind drift over here how fast is that mind drift over here how fast is that mind drift over here and that minds drifting all day I heard a guy say something this week you have 30,000 thoughts in one day some people leave you have 30,000 every 12 hours now think about that 30,000 questions go through your mind every 12 hours so how in the world are you gonna bring all those thoughts under if you don't have the peace that God that passes all understanding in your life and so if you don't have that you're gonna you're gonna sway you gonna sway here you go sweat and everything that comes is gonna move you every situation is gonna give y'all target everything that rises up outside the ordinary is gonna stop you from pursuing what you know is right people live like this one day they believe the next day they ain't sure the next day they believe next day they should what based on happenings and what goes on externally determines what happens internally with us peace is never gonna be out here I'm just saying we never gonna have peace externally if you're looking to have peace externally you're never gonna have peace in your life peace is not externally you can have peace with everything in the world falling apart there was a woman during World War II and she lived in Germany and she walked the streets during the day and at night she couldn't sleep because bombs were dropping everywhere and she

was terrified and so four or five days went by and they didn't see the lady walking and so four or five days later she came out and they said we didn't know what happened to you we thought you might be dead or whatever we hadn't seen you walking at night you were you were not usually up and you were usually walking and doing, and moving, and getting around. She said, well I read in the Bible that it said that Jesus never sleeps or slumbers. I thought there would be no reason for both of us to stay awake. Now think about it just a minute. You'll sit up here and tell people that God's not taking your questions. He'll take care of you and He'll look after you, but at night you sit around and worry about it. So you really don't believe that or you wouldn't be up worrying about it. Now I'm trying to get to this peace thing, because this peace thing is what people need in their life to be able to overcome situations and crisis. And without peace you're not going to do it. Now peace in the Greek is harmony, quietness, rest to imply prosperity. In other words, quietness and rest is peace. Now the Holy Spirit spoke something to me, and I want to read this to you because this is powerful. I've never heard anybody say this. Peace is when time doesn't matter as it passes by. Peace is when time doesn't matter as it passes by. See, people's got one set of worries this week and next week according to what happens during the week they've got another set. You worry about things you've prayed about and told them to give them to God. But you're still worried about them so you haven't given them to God. Now think about it just a minute. Some of you are going to walk out of here tonight and be the same way tomorrow you are tonight because you ain't listening to me. Because that peace that you're looking for is inside of you. You're not going to find it out here. Think about it. And this peace is the most important thing in your life tonight. Because if you can't have that peace that passes all understanding you're going to be moved by every wind, every doctrine, everything that blows, every person that speaks, everybody that says something you don't like. It's going to continuously control us. And we're going to walk around

and be walking in defeat because Jesus will provide us peace. Let's go to Mark chapter 4. Verse 35. On the same day when evening had come he said to them, let us go over to the other side of the lake. Now listen to this. He said, let us go to the other side of the lake. And leaving the throne they took him with them just as he was in the boat in which he was sitting. Other boats were with him. Verse 37. And a fierce wind, a storm of wind, a hurricane proportion arose and the waves kept beating into the boat so that it was already becoming filled. Now remember what he said at first. We're going to the other side. We're going to the other side. Now God's told you that you got the victory and that you're going to win, that all good things come to you who love the Lord and who are called according to His purpose. But you still won't get out of the way. Think about it a minute. When storms come in your life, can you remember that he said I'm going to the other side? We're going to the other side. See, all these people are wanting Jesus to come back and take them to heaven. But when things don't go their way and at the end of their life, all fear grips. That's really not what we want. Everybody prays, Lord I want your perfect will in my life. There's some things you're not going to learn by just watching me go through it. There's some things in your life you're not going to grow in by watching me go through situations. See, I want Ronnie to go through it and me watch it from a distance. But that's not the way that works. And, you know, we want to be anointed by God. You've got to walk through some stuff. I'm not talking about sickness. That's the enemy.

But there's things that happens in our lives, guys, that you are the way you are because of the way you were raised. And those things you've got to deal with in your life or those things are going to deal with you. You can sit around and say, well, you know what? And I know people, here's what bothers me. Sometimes people say, well, just get over it. You can't get over it. If you could get over it, then you wouldn't need Jesus. Jesus brings you through it. Okay? But look at this, verse 38. But he himself was in the stern of the boat, asleep on the leather cushion. And they awoke him and said to him, Master, do you not care that we're perishing? We're dying here, man. Do you not know it? The word perishing means death here. Do you not know we're dying? When I was working with Johnson & Johnson, we flew a lot. And we were coming home from Charlotte one night. And, you know, you don't get too high from Charlotte to Raleigh-Durham. And we were flying along and it was storming. Lightning was coming down beside the plane. And the plane was just doing this. And it was a big old plane, but it was just rocking. I didn't have enough faith to sleep in that plane at all. Think about it a minute. Here's a man asleep because he knew how it was going to turn out. See, you don't know how it's going to turn out because you don't know him well enough to know what he's going to do in the situation you're in. So, really, do we have a purpose? personal relationship or are we just walking around saying I trust Jesus? See I believe that we're in the greatest time of our life prophetically and I believe that the Holy Spirit is revealing more than, but we have got to be willing to stand in the presence and know that we know that no weapon formed against us can prosper and at the end no matter what I have to deal with externally I'm gonna come out on the other side and I'm gonna know Him better and I'm gonna walk in a

deeper level, I'm gonna have a greater revelation I'm gonna have a greater understanding and without that it's not gonna happen so here we find Him, He's asleep and they said Master don't you care? Can you imagine being sarcastic to Jesus? Don't you care that we're dying here? Look at 39 He arose and rebuked the wind and said to the sea hush now, be still be muzzled and the wind ceased, sank to a rest as if exhausted by its beating and there was immediately a great calm, a perfect peacefulness. Now think about this a minute, what did He do to the storm? Did He say God's got it? He spoke to it see you sleep with your problem instead of speaking to it you curdle up with it like a rattlesnake and think about it all night because you don't want to talk to it and get rid of it because you really don't believe He'll do it. But He had already told them we're going to the other side man we're gonna be together on the other side. He's told you, you're gonna be with Him on the other side, so what you worried about this side for if you're off on that heaven thing? See, think about it a minute. Immediate a calm came immediately because He knew what was going to happen to the wind when He talked to it oh that was Jesus. He operated as the Son of Man, you're operating as the Son of God on earth. Think about it let's go to 40. And He said to them, why are you so timid and fearful? How is it that you have no faith, no firmly relying trust? See, you're full of faith, you don't have any trust Now I'm going to go somewhere with this, please listen to me it sounds like I'm hard tonight, I'm not. I don't want to be if I am. But there's a difference in faith and trust. Because when you have peace

it doesn't matter because time doesn't go by. Are you listening to me? So we don't have any trust. There's a scripture in Isaiah 26 verse 3, if you'll keep your mind fixed upon the Lord you'll have perfect perfect peace. Why? Because you trust Him. See what do we trust? What do we trust? What do we really trust? Do we know it? Oh, we got faith, we're full of faith. But do we trust Him? Do we know He's got your kids? Do we know? See, there's certain things in my life, and I'm just going to talk about me because I'm not going to talk about you anymore, I'm not going to mingle in your business. There's certain things in my life I've prayed about and there's certain things I've never prayed about. For some reason the scripture about the seed of a righteous man shall be delivered, I grabbed that many many years ago and I quoted it over my children every day and I said, I'm not going to pray for them to be saved, they already are. But other things in my life I had to pray about and walk through because my trust, I didn't know Him well enough in that area of life to be able to trust Him in that area. And that's exactly what's happening right now. See, everybody loves this grace message. Why do you think we're getting letters and hundreds of emails every week because they're looking at answer, people are hungry for spiritual truth. And really, we don't really know what it is because so many people have got so many different ideas about it. But at the end of the day, it's all about having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. And the more time you spend with somebody, you're going to know more about that person than other people. I've been with her for almost, fix it, it'll be 42 years. Married and then seven and a half years before that. Fifty years, man. She could tell you all some stories, make you all hair spend up. Over fifty years, think about it a minute. But there's things I know about her you don't know because I've been with her. There's things that people know about Jesus and we say, well, how did they get it? They spent time with Him. We're trying to make it happen.

And it's already happened. If you'd spend time, it would manifest right before you. Peace is when time doesn't matter as it passes by. He had told them, I'm going to meet you on the other side. It wasn't like he was walking by himself, he was in the boat with them. He's in the boat with you. He's in you right now. He's living inside of you right now. He's living inside. The same power that resurrected out of death is living on the inside of you. And we don't take the time to have that intimate relationship with Him to where we know Him well enough that no matter what comes our way, we're going to overcome. How well do you know this man named Jesus? Is it just to get you to heaven? Or is it because you want that daily? Now, watch this. Go with me to Romans 14 and 17. For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. Now, this ghost thing scares folks. The ghost thing scares folks. But the kingdom of God is not about what you eat or what you drink, but it's about righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Watch this. Let's go to Romans chapter 8 verse 6. To be carnally minded is death. What's the wages of sin? Death. So to be carnally minded. Now, what does carnally minded mean? It means to set your mind on things of this world and think like everybody in this world thinks. I don't know about you, but I don't want to be normal. You were intended to be like Christ on this earth. But to be spiritually minded is going to bring you life and it's going to bring you

peace. So, which one are you? Are you set in your mind more on the heavenly things or more on the earthly? Well, Pastor, I've got to work an eight-hour job. I've got to be a dad. I've got to be a... I understand all that. I've been all that. You can still know Him if you want to. Philippians 3 and 10 says, I love the Amplified. I'm progressively determined to know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His suffering conformable even to death. What was He saying? I want to know Him. Paul has seen all kinds of miracles. Wrote 13 books in the Bible. Had a third encounter with the third heaven. Saw all kinds of miracles. Preached the gospel. Wrote 13 books in the New Testament. And yet, I want to know Him. I want to know Him. Think about it. Inside of us is a life source. I believe we can get to the point that Paul got to in his life when he said, I'm betwixt a hard place where to stay or where to go, but I'm going to stay because of you. And then Paul got to a point where he said, I fought the good fight. I finished the course and I'm stepping out of here. Wasn't sick. Wasn't broke. Wasn't busted. He'd become more heavenly than he did earthly. And I believe that that's where God's trying to take the church. That it's not about us vanishing like left behind, but it's about us vanishing from the things of this world and having the desire for the passion of the things of God where I'm only moved by the things that moves God. If they don't move God, they ought not to move me and you because He's going to meet us on the other side. And I'm not talking about the other side. I'm going to go a step further. I'm going to go a step further. God never talks about an afterlife. He just talks about a life. And we're concerned about the afterlife and He's talking about the life. This is the life. This is the deal.

Because He said, I come that you might have life and have life more abundantly. It's not about dwelling here or going to heaven. Everybody's looking to go to heaven. I'm going to meet mom and grandma and all them. Glory to God. Meet them. Be it according to your faith. But He never talked about the afterlife. He only talked about the life that's in us. And that Zoe kind of life that's on the inside of us. We live and we move and we have our being. And it brings righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. And now I've got a leader and somebody inside me teaching me all things and bringing all things to remember. So when the enemy wants to come against my mind, there's something on the inside of me that's going to speak to me and give me peace in my mind so that my external rim can't dominate me. I'm only dominated by who I am in Him. And see, I believe there's the place God's trying to take the church. And it's a prophetic utterance that this is the greatest time of our lives. We don't even understand what's going on in the world. But I'm going to give you a revelation tonight. Because what's going on in the world is all, everything about it is not a prophecy. It's a revelation from God. What's happening in Iran, what's happening in Kuwait, what's happening in Russia, and all those things in eschatology that everybody wants to teach out of the book of Revelation. All the book of Revelation is is about Jesus. Okay? And that's what we need to be focused on. It's not what's going on in Iran, Iraq, and Turkey, and Ukraine, and Russia, and all those countries. We need to be focused on what's God doing. I'll tell you what God's doing. God's making this place where His kingdom can rule and reign. And you can say whatever you want to, but the world should be flowing through us as a kingdom and not as a democracy.

Now the church is not going to like that, but that's what He come to do, to give us the kingdom of God. Because on the inside of us is the kingdom of God. Let me tell you something. This power source that we call a Democrat and Republican is not the kingdom of God. It is a worldly system that is not going to stand, and the kingdom of God is going to stand and persevere. And it's not when He comes back, but it's when you and I take authority and operate. Because the Bible said creation is crying out for the revealing of the sons of God. And that's exactly who me and you are. Why? Because we are the resurrected in Christ Jesus, that live in and move in Him, having our way in Him. And because of that, that's what's going to bring peace. If you know who you are, you ain't going to answer to who you ain't. If you knew Him, you wouldn't be worried about what He's doing. You'd be doing it with Him. Amen? I don't have any letters this week. What's God doing? I'm telling you what He's doing. He's doing what the book says He's doing. He's been doing it the whole time. You just ain't watched the news. and he ain't doing it through you cuz he ain't doing it through you, he ain't doing it everybody's talking about, I'm so tired of hearing these letters too well, you know, I remember the revival of 1970 what good is that doing us here in the 2000's? really what's he doing in you? see, he was doing something last night with me I was awake last night, he was doing something, he's doing something, I don't need to be revived man, I'm full I run it over, out of my belly flow rivers of living water, I don't need no revelation, I don't need nobody to come and pep me up, I'm already pepped I'm wrapped up and tied up, I'm consumed man, I'm possessed why? because what's on the inside of us is bigger than what's on the outside of us

get your mind off you and put it on him why? because a carnal mind is death, but a spiritual life is life and peace in the Holy Spirit man, we got a power source on the inside of us we got something bigger than anybody can even contain my lord help us go to John 14 and 27 I'm leaving you with a gift turn to somebody and say it's a gift peace of mind and peace of heart and the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give you so don't be troubled or don't be afraid what you troubled about? well, I don't know how it's going to turn out, yeah you do yeah you do, yeah you do I know how it's going to turn out, the way this book says it's going to turn out and the only reason it don't turn out is because you don't speak it out of your life and say it's going to turn out this way call those things not as though they were and stop walking around, I just don't know you know I've been praying and I've been believing and I've been trusting, well then keep on doing it keep on, what you going to lose? keep on doing it just keep on doing it, see I believe you can get so full of him that what's around you don't matter Smith Wigglesworth said he would go sometimes forty, sixty days and didn't even know he had his body think about it man forty or sixty days and don't even realize you've got a body that's the same dude that was riding in a car looking at some mountains and began to cry because he'd been ten minutes without thinking about Jesus see I want to be that dude, man

but you've got to fight for that presence because everybody wants to be in your arena will you listen to me? there's a whole lot of voices coming at you whole lot of noises coming at you, when you're home in the back in the box in the darkness, dark everybody's got to lay down and deal with what's around them and you create what's around you by what your environment is that's why when Jesus said to the disciples he said even though I'm standing before you I'm in heaven guys come on we got to get a deeper revelation than some of this lackadaisical stuff that's being said Matthew seven and twenty four everyone who hears my teaching and applies it to his life can be compared to a wise man who built his house on an unshakable foundation you got an unshakable foundation because he's the cornerstone of the building, right? look at verse twenty five when the rain fell and the flood came with fierce winds beating upon the house it stood firm because of its strong foundation. How many of you know we mean you're the house? We're the house, the dwelling place of God. See when you crumble Jesus crumbles because you're the tabernacle in which he lives in are you with me? so what am I saying to you?

I'm saying to you you're an example and a representation of him in your dwelling because he's been desiring, listen to me, he's been desiring for generations to live inside you and me and then you think he's going to desert you and leave you and not be concerned about you and not watch over you and not pay your bills and not pay your light bill not pay your water bill and pay all, well I ain't seen him pay nothing sure you had, like the old guy said he said he bought a farm and the farm had all grown up and he bought the farm and he cleaned the farm up and two or three years later the guy come by and said I tell you God's done a good work in you ain't he brother he said God ain't dug up one of these things right here he said I've done the work what he was saying is I'm doing the work of Christ we're representing him on the earth think about it a minute what's your biggest desire here's what everybody says because it sounds spiritual you ever seen people get to the altar and say Lord I just want to know you really well don't look up, look in and you can find him because you know every moment he wants to talk to you he wants to spend time with you, he wants to direct you he wants to lead you, you ever be riding down the road and you can just feel this

presence, just feel the car you ain't got nothing on, ain't no music playing, ain't nothing just you and him and you know without a shadow, without tears, it just starts streaming down your eyes because you know that you know, that you know that you've stepped into the presence of something bigger than you. See, that's what He wants for us. Look at somebody and say, that's what He wants for me. Let's go to John 14 and 1. He said, let not your heart be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in Me. Now think about it a minute. Then it goes on to say, in my Father's house or in any mansion where I saw you, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place, I go to prepare a place, I come again, receive you into Myself that where I am there you may be also. That ain't talking about heaven, guys. He's already prepared the place and it's in us. In other words, He prepared the place in Himself for me and you to live forever. And then He sealed it with His Holy Spirit and now He put that Holy Spirit inside of us. Listen to me, I want you to get this. He put His Spirit, the Spirit of Christ that resurrected, the Spirit of Christ that healed everybody that He got in contact with, the Spirit of Christ that resurrected from the dead is actually placed inside of me and you now. And that same resurrecting power, that's why He gave us a voice, to speak out what's inside of us. But we speak what we see and not what's inside of us. So we're dominated by feelings and happenings. Happiness is based on happenings. The joy of the Lord is your strength, Nehemiah 8 and 10. So you and I have got to understand that inside of us is the most dominating force ever existed on the face of the earth.

And that force inside of us is what the world's crying out to experience. And me and you have it. But we're afraid to let it go because we don't understand that we got it. You've been filled with the Holy Spirit. You've been baptized with the Holy Ghost. You've got the power of the Word inside of you. You've got plenty of faith. And you're sitting around waiting for God to do something. You're praying about what you ought to be talking to. You're sleeping with what you ought to be getting rid of. You're the Philippians 4. Don't worry about anything. There's half of you. Don't worry about anything. You're worried about how your kids are going to grow up. You're worried about how your life's going to turn out. You're worried about how retirement's going to be. You're worried about what... See, God ain't change when you get 80. Don't worry about anything. Instead, pray about everything. Tell Him what you need and then thank Him for what He's done. Thank Him for what He's done. What's He done? Exactly what you just prayed for. Whatever you desire when you pray, believe that you receive and you have it. But see, we pray about it and go on about our business. Don't thank Him for it. See, you need to be thinking Him for it. Let's go to verse 7. Then you will experience God's peace when you what? Pray about it and thank Him for it.

When it succeeds, anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and it'll guard your minds as you live in Christ Jesus. See, how many of you want your heart and your mind to be guarded? Then how are you going to find that? When you're in Christ Jesus, when you pray about it and thank Him for it. Don't worry about it. What can you fix with worry? See, you understand how to meditate because anything you worry about is meditation. You're just going in the wrong direction.
