Legacy Starts With A Yes | Donnell Mann

Good morning, Union Houston. Come on. There you go. Listen, don't make noise for me. Let's just carry on what Susan was doing, and let's make noise for Jesus. Let's make noise for the King of Kings and the Lords of Lords. Alpha and Omega beginning and the end. He's the reason we're in this together. See, listen, man, look, y'all don't get me started, man. I went in the room to pray, and I was like, listen, I don't know how we going to start this thing today, man. And look, y'all just so good. Y'all ready to praise Jesus. And that's what I'm talking about, but I want to take a moment, and in this message, I want to stop right here for a second. And I want to honor Pastor Rod and Pastor Sarah Vargas. So if y'all could raise your feet, no, raise your feet, because it is because of their yes, it is because of their sacrifice, it is because of their faith that a lot of us are here. It's because of their sacrifice that a lot of us are healed. It is because of their belief a lot of us have been restored. It is because of them that a lot of us are alive, right, and that we're here today. So closing this year, we need to honor them. We need to pray for them. We need to bless them and strengthen them, encourage them, because let me tell you something, boy, we messy people, man. We broken people. Let's keep, listen, your boy broken, you broken, I'm broken, we broken. And those are the people, those are the type of pastors that believe in you, that pray for you, that sacrifice that fast for you.

And I want to tell y'all, man, it's not common. So don't think you can go to this church down the street and get the same thing, because they know what it is to be in the mud. So do me a favor, everybody reach your hand this way, we're going to pray real quick. Dear Heavenly Father, most gracious God, we come to you right now, Lord, and God, we thank you for our pastors. God, we lift them up to your throne, broom, broom, Father, that as you look upon them, you smile, and they hear the words, good and faithful servant, Lord. And so Lord, as we close this year out and we step into the next one, God, we ask that you bless their yes. We ask that you bless their home, that you bless their finances, that you bless the legacy offering that will build your kingdom, God. We ask that you bless their children. We ask to Heavenly Father that anything they set their hand to or their footstep is claimed in the name of Jesus, because they have been faithful, God. And strengthen them in the hard times, hold their arms up when they're weak, and continue to surround them with people who will love them and walk with them, and it's in Jesus' mighty name we pray. And the church said, awesome, take your seat, take your seat, man. So listen, I don't normally title my messages, well I do, but it really just be for me, right? And as I was walking out, she was like, hey, what's the title of your message? And I just said, legacy starts with a yes. Right, but see, I remember, I remember there was a time in my life that I was so broken. I was an addict, I struggled in relationships, man, my house was broken, I hadn't seen my daughter in years. And I remember sitting there sometimes, and I was sitting there and I was like, God, I just wish I could be different. I wish that something in my life could change. And what I didn't realize at the time is that I was wishing and hoping that I could build a different legacy in my life.

And so this time of year, churches, I saw Susan was talking about the legacy offering, and we talked about legacy offering and what it is to build something. And a lot of times we get caught up with tying money to it. We get tied up in the financial aspect of our legacy. And it's not just about that. And so today, can I call y'all family? Can I call y'all family? Right? That's what we say at Your Story Church, we just say family, because I'm terrible with names. So everybody just family. I have to keep it simple, you know what I'm talking about? But listen, today, today's a holy moment. Not because of the numbers in this room, not because of the numbers of Your Story Church, because of a church plant, but because of a yes. And before we talk about what Your Story Church is doing and what God is doing and all the things, I wanna take a moment and honor what God has already done through you. See, Union, your yes mattered. Your obedience mattered. Your generosity mattered. And because of your yes, stories have changed. Leaders were changed, were trained. Church was planted. Lives reached and heard the gospel that would have never heard the gospel if you didn't say yes. Let me explain something to you. Somebody's legacy started because of your yes,

not because of my yes, but because of your yes. And so today we're gonna come out of Acts 9, right? We're gonna talk about our boy Saul who became Paul. Now, raise your hand if you know who Saul is. I ain't talking about Paul. Hold on though, hold on. Listen, y'all know who Saul was, right? Listen, Saul, he was brilliant. He was educated. He was a successful businessman, right? He was religious. He knew the word of God. And he violently opposed the church. Sounds like some of us. Some of us are full of potential, full of possibility, full of life. Yet and still we turn our back on God. The scriptures say, as a matter of fact, scripture says that he was breathing threat and murder against believers. How many of us said, man, you know what? I ain't finna go to that church. They just want my money. That's a cult. I don't know about that, Jesus. We've done the same thing. And when I was in the penitentiary, we learned a phrase that says, but God. Everybody say, but God. Come on, man, one more time, but God.

Hey, let me see how many of y'all know. God is good. Come on, all y'all been to the penitentiary. Man, I learned that in, I just let you know your boy ain't church. Listen, I'm sorry I ain't church. I learned that stuff in the penitentiary. Hey, look, I'm glad y'all rocking with me, but listen, but God. Right, and as we know, on this road to Damascus, Saul encounters Jesus. It's a light from heaven, a voice from God. He's put to his knees. He is in total surrender. And I remember, some of y'all heard my story, some don't know. I'm just gonna give you a quick prayer version. 2011, seven felony counts. They offered me three life sentences. That was our deal. That's where I was at in life. Four time convicted felon, had four TDC numbers. Matter of fact, here's a fun fact for you. Listen, since I was 17, I've been on paper. I'm still on paper. And I ain't gonna tell you how old I am either. I know y'all over there, dang, he look about 22. Gotta double that down, man. I'm about 50 right now. You know what I'm talking about?

But no, but I remember, so 2011, Pastor Rob reached out to me. We have a conversation. He shared his story, and I remember crying, and I remember just unloading all my mess. Onto him. And he was like, man, listen, I just want you to know. I'm like, God, man, we walking out of the smash. Man, he just touched me. Said, I just want you to know God's not done yet. Didn't tell me, hey, you wanna give your life to Jesus. And none of that kind of stuff happened. We get in the car, this way, because he tricked me, right? We get in the car, we go home, and he's like, man, you got a Bible. I just said, just read this. And I wasn't walking on the road to Damascus, but I was sitting in the living room of an atheist, reading the book of Matthew, and then all of a sudden, the Holy Spirit came down and touched me. I'm sobbing, I'm crying, I'm giving my life to Christ. I'm like, I can't do it without you. I can't do the prison time. I can't do the addictions. I can't do my life. God, I don't wanna go to jail, and I don't wanna die, but I can't do it by myself. And I had this moment. And y'all know what's funny is I called my boy Rodney,

he put, he left me on read. Boy, I was cussing him out. I went from saved to just mother, man. I remember man, but and here's something else, I don't know if I share it all the time, the odd thing was that he was actually taking youth to a camp and he was in the midst of having the youth pray for me. But I'm gonna tell y'all, I'm gonna tell y'all something man, I'm gonna tell y'all something, listen. When I got up from that floor, guess what got up with me? All my brokenness, all my hurts, all my pains, all my struggles, they got up with me. My heart was postured toward Jesus, but my conversion was not complete. And it's the same thing we see with Paul, he has this encounter with Jesus, Jesus speaks to him, light comes down, and Paul didn't get up and be like, come on, I'm on fire for Jesus, he got up and he was like, I'm blind, I can't see. How many of us have said, God, God, all right, I see you, I know you, I want more of you, and yet still woke up and the bills were due. Still woke up and you struggled with that relationship. You not alone. Because sometimes God gotta involve somebody else. We can't do it alone, and God chose another person. He chose a dude named Ananias, right? How many of y'all heard of Ananias? Oh, see, y'all know Saul and Paul, but y'all don't know little Ananias. Well, let me give you a little background about Ananias as I was researching for this, because I didn't truly know who Ananias was when I started to prepare for this message. And I'm just gonna be very transparent towards you, I know Pastor Rod get tired of me because every time I find something new, I text him or tell him, like three minutes ago, I was like, man, did you know this about the Bible? He's like, yeah, dog. Like, come on, man.

And so we assume Ananias is this new believer because we're in the book of Acts and our mind shifts and changes, but he's not. Ananias was actually one of the original 72 that Jesus sent out. So he walked with Jesus, he followed Jesus, he seen the miracle signs and wonders. He went out to pray and to heal people. We don't hear about that, but he did those things. And so God is reaching out to Ananias. He's not an apostle. He was just one of the 72. He's not a celebrity preacher. He's not a church planter with a platform. He's just a faithful disciple with an ordinary life. And so we're going to pick up in 9 verse 10 and we're going to go through 17. I'm just going to read it all and we're going to swing back around and it says, and God speaks to him in a vision. Now there was a believer in Damascus named Ananias and the Lord spoke to him in a vision calling Ananias, yes, Lord, he replied. The Lord said, go over to straight street to the house of Judas. And when you get there, ask for a man from Taurus name. So first and foremost, at this time, you hear the name Judas and you're like, nah, dog, I don't want nothing to do with it. You ever had that homeboy that you hear that name, he'd be like, nah, I'm good, I'm good. I ain't finna do that. He ain't nothing. Listen, I'm going to be honest with you, I used to be that dude. People hear my name, they'd be like, nah, we good, we good. We ain't messing with Daniel like that, he ain't got no sense. Some people feel like that today. But so think about this, just start to think of the mentality, the thoughts of Ananias, what's running through his head when he hears this, he's saying, hey, you need to go to

this place. And he's thinking Judas, man, that man just died, he just hung himself in a field. He betrayed Jesus. And then you want me to go see who? You want me to go talk to Saul? Didn't he just have Stephen Stone? Oh, no, I ain't going over there. He ain't say that to God, but I know that's what he was thinking. And when you get there, ask for the man from Taurus named Saul. He is praying to me right now. I've shown him a vision of a man named Ananias coming in and laying hands on him so he could see again. But Lord, exclaimed Ananias, I've heard many people talk about the terrible things this man has done to believers in Jerusalem. And he is authorized by the leading priest to arrest everyone who calls upon your name. But the Lord said, go, Saul, go, for Saul is my chosen instrument to take my message to the Gentiles and to the kings and to as well as to the people. A visual, let me pause, let me tell y'all something real quick so you can get this. You are God's chosen instrument. Y'all hear me, I need an amen from everybody. You are God's chosen instrument. We need to know that. And I will show him how much he must suffer for my name's sake. So Ananias went and found Saul, he laid hands on him and said, Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus who appeared to you on the road has sent me so that you might regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit. Ananias knows exactly who Saul is. He knows Saul's reputation. He knows Saul's past. He knows what Saul is capable of doing.

And his response is honest, Lord, I've heard many reports about this man. Translation, are you serious? You want me to go there? You want me to do what? Like get in hands, Rick? I don't think so. But I want you to know today, the story God is writing isn't about comfort. Just like in this moment in Ananias' life, it wasn't about comfort. The story is about trust. And sometimes when it comes to building our legacy, it's about trusting God. Because some of us don't feel worthy. Because we make mistakes. We fall short. We're not perfect. Why God going to use me? I'm just a little old me. I've fallen so many times. But I want you to know that God builds legacy through ordinary obedience. It doesn't have to be supernatural. It doesn't have to be over the mountaintop. Listen, Ananias has been obedient for years. He was obedient for three years during Jesus' ministry and he's continued to be obedient. And God, he don't need to qualify. He will qualify you. And God doesn't ask, here's what we need to understand. Because you can give yourself all of the excuses. I can't do it. I don't pray enough. I've fallen short. I did this last night.

I did that yesterday. You know what? I don't read my Bible like that. You can come up with all the things. But listen, God doesn't ask Ananias to understand the plan. He is asking us to obey. And when we obey, when we're at, God can work with that. Listen, legacy does not require perfect conditions. Come on, that's what I'm talking about. It doesn't. It doesn't require perfect clarity. What it requires is a willing heart and simple obedience. See, some of us think that legacy starts to happen when we have a bigger budget. We get that pay raise. Shooter, you like how I used to be when that income tax come in. Y'all playing games. Y'all done lied to the IRAs 19, 14, 362 times. Look at me playing games, boy. Y'all, what? Income tax come in. I'm doing that. Listen, it's going down. I don't even get no income tax no more, dog. God said, you got jokes. You took that money. I'm getting mine back. You playing games. Let me stop. Let me stop. Some of us think legacy happens when the time feels right, when it's convenient for us.

The risk is lower. Things seem to line up for us, but Act 9 shows us something different. Legacy is built when people say yes right where they are. Ananias could have let fear speak louder than his faith, fear of harm, fear of uncertainty, fear of past trauma. And I mean, I want to know, how many times have we allowed our fear to stop us from doing something? How many times have we said, hey man, this trauma is too great for me to face this? How many of we said, you know what, I'm not doing it because I might get hurt. Or you know what, sometimes we let our sins keep us from saying yes and stepping into legacy. But I want to tell you today, y'all got to hear me on this. We got a God. God who specializes in rewriting stories. Listen, we got a God, we got a God that says sex stand on 2 Corinthians 5, 17. Some of us got it all over our house, which says, hey, you know what? Those that are in Christ Jesus are a new creation and the old things have passed away and here comes the new that it has already begun. And so I want you to know that God has already begun a good work and he will be faithful to finish it. You just gotta say yes. Ordinary obedience. You ain't gotta be supernatural. You ain't gotta be a pastor, a preacher. You ain't even gotta be an evangelist, apostle or prophet. Just gotta say yes.

Acts 9, 15 says, go, this is my chosen instrument. Union, I want you to know your yes didn't come from abundance last year. Your yes didn't come because the time was right and money was right. Your yes came because the faith, Pastor Rod and Sarah had and what God was doing in your story, church, and what he was already doing in Union, Houston. And God took that yes and used it. Because they surrendered to what they heard. And I want y'all to know, legacy begins with an obedience surrender. And then I had a choice, stay safe or step into obedience. And I know I got some, man, listen, boy, I know I got some people in here. I'm gonna let y'all know and y'all need to understand this. Write this down. This ain't even in my notes to tell you to write down, but Holy Spirit told me this is for somebody to write down. Obedience isn't passive. Obedience isn't sitting back and saying, okay, God, I trust you. It is not passive. Obedience, man, listen, I got people, I'd be like, hey, they'd be like, man, I want to get this job. I might be up for this promotion. They give me the laundry list of things and blessings and things that might be around the corner. I'd be like, what you gonna do?

Oh, well, I'm gonna sit back and pray and wait. Oh, while that other person is studying, talking to people, networking, building relationships, learning and growing and changing the trajectory of their life, positioning themselves so they can say yes. And you're gonna sit back and pray. God up there like, so appreciate you, so appreciate you. Right? But then you mad when you don't get the breakthrough. You mad when you don't get the promotion. You mad when that thing doesn't change in your life. Obedience is active trust. It's saying, because I know you, God, I will move. I will be obedient. I will serve. I will sow into legacy. I will do some things because I know that my obedience will lead to breakthrough. Amen. You know, in this season, man, like I told your story, church, man, like legacy doesn't begin with what we give. Doesn't begin if we give our time, our talents or our treasures. It begins with what we surrender. Ananias walks into a room and places his hands on salt. I could see that boy like, oh, babe, hope this boy don't kill me. If he tries, God keep him blind just so I can get away a little bit.

I could run fast. He probably put on his running sandals. You know what I'm talking about? Just in case he had to get out and die. Listen, I'm telling y'all boys, listen, y'all playing. I know how the man felt. Let me tell y'all, listen, this ain't in my notes either, but I know how the man felt, man. God told me in 2012, that I had to plead guilty. And remember, they were offering me three life sentences and I had to go in here and plead guilty. Man, listen, and I was so, I was full of faith though. Your boy was still a new Christian, so you couldn't tell me nothing. Boy, everybody was going to hell and I was the only one going to heaven. You know what I'm talking about? That's how, that's how I was, I was obnoxious. I was a nut, I walked in the court. I mean, listen, you know, I'm from the days where you knew you was going to jail. You wore four white boxes, three white socks and six white t-shirts. So we all know what I'm talking about. I'm a real tough boy, here's kind. You went prepared. You knew you wasn't going home. You step in the court. Every time I step in the courtroom,

I knew I wasn't going home. Oh, and so I go in the court, and I go in the court, and I'm scared. I got Pastor Rod. I got half the church. I got other men. I mean, I got everybody. Man, listen, I got everybody. I was ready to run. I did not want to go to the penitentiary. So I know how Ananias feels walking into a situation that makes you uncomfortable. And just for the record, obviously, they did not give me life in prison. But I did go to prison. They gave me 18 years. But I was able to face it. I was able to walk into it. And because of my yes to that obedience, Your Story Church exists today. Woo! Woo! Woo! Woo! Woo! Woo! Woo! Woo! Woo! Woo!

Woo! Woo! Woo! And so I want you to catch this. The first Christian words Saul hears after meeting Jesus come from a man who chose obedience over fear. How many of y'all know who Saul, the Apostle Paul, is? I'm sorry. Raise your hand if you know the Apostle Paul. Not even a fraction of you raised your hands for Ananias. But because of his yes, you've read a scripture, prayed a prayer, you've believed in faith, because of something Paul has done. And scripture says, something like scales fell from his eyes and he could see again. It is because of Pastor Rod and Sarah. And your yes, and your partnership with Your Story Church, it wasn't about obligation because I'm a son of the house. It was about obedience. Because y'all didn't give emotionally, you gave prayerfully. Pastors, listen to the Holy Spirit and trusted God's bigger picture. And because of that, listen, listen. I want you to hear what I'm about to say. Because of that, obedience, leaders were equipped, church family was formed, and a city gained another gospel outpost. Hear what I'm saying.

People are learning and know Jesus like never before. Right down the street, because your obedience, yes. Because I want to tell you something, and this is one of the most important things, and I think it's about to be put up there. Your yes unlocks someone else's calling. Look, it ain't about you all the time. I hate to break it to you. I'm sorry that Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook been lying to you. It's not about you. Here's the thing that we often miss in this. Paul's ministry didn't start with a sermon. It started when Ananias was sitting in that room and had a vision from the Lord, and he said, yes, Lord. Your story, church, didn't start with a catchy vision. It didn't start with God's not done yet. It didn't start with a big budget. Matter of fact, y'all want to hear what's crazy? We didn't even have a name until I called Pastor Rod, and he said, call Pastor Dre, and Dre gave us our name. I ain't mean what? I play no games. Dre was like, man, I just think that that YSE would look good, like Latter-day Saint with that YSL. You got to be YSE. I promise you this is the conversation we had, but it didn't start with that. It started with Pastor Rod's yes in 2011, when he said, you know what, Donnell?

I'm going to step into the mud with you. I'm going to believe in you. I see the potential in you. I know what God wants to do with you. He said, I don't care. He said yes to a liar. He said yes to a cheater, a manipulator, deceiver, convicted felon. Y'all not hearing me. It's easy to clap. There wasn't no Union Houston. There wasn't no platform. There wasn't a congregation or a building. Pastor Rod and Sarah just said yes. They had ordinary obedience with ordinary surrendering and accepted a broken person like myself, a yes. I remember, listen, I was preparing for this. Hey, look, and I'm going to just show you the heart of your pastor. Listen, y'all playing games with me right now. Y'all don't know what y'all got here. So me and Pastor Rod, once I got through my mess, you know what I'm talking about? I went cussing people out and stuff like that. Really, that just stopped like a week ago. But let me quit lying to y'all, you know what I'm saying? Look, look, but no, but listen, listen, I remember, I remember Pastor Rod was mean to me, y'all. So if he mean to you, hey, I'm sorry. It's all out of love.

But no, he just told me, Donnell, if you want this, I got this. He goes, I'm not going to chase you around the city. I'm not going to do these things, but if you want it, I'm here for you. And so we were having a conversation one day, and he says, man, you know. I was talking to Pastor Sarah and he said, you know, she kind of, I was like, kind of in her feelings a little bit. She said, why are you always getting the broke, the broken people? I want some broken people. And so just, lady, so you know, you have, you know, that was her heart was to say yes to broken women years ago. 13 years ago, she had a heart and was asking God, hey, bring me broken women that I could walk with. So your breakthrough, the prayer she's praying for you, them things, oh, decade plus. That's the type of pastors you have. They already saying yes. They not asking you to do anything that they haven't been doing. Let me get back to my story. Ananias never wrote an epistle. He never planted a mega church or even a small church. He never stood before Kings, but without Ananias, there was no Apostle Paul. That means no New Testament. So union, this is where our stories connect. Your yes created space for Your Story Church. Your yes created space for kids in West Houston to have a safe faith-filled community and teachers that believed in them. Your yes created a place for families searching for hope, students discovering their identity in Christ, leaders learning to pastor with health and longevity. See, you just didn't support a church. You activated callings. You didn't just fund a ministry. You made room for legacy. Your yes made room for thousands to hear the gospel message. Your yes made room for 510 people to dedicate their lives to Christ and almost 100 people being baptized. Marriages were stored, families united, community impacted. Let me tell you something. Your yes created kingdom legacy on the west side of Houston. The power of a yes is loving God in action. And some of y'all over there like, when did we say yes? I don't even know this crazy dude. You said yes when you filled out that connect card and said, I want to jump on a team. You said yes when you said, hey, you know what? I want to lead a connect group.

You said yes and you said, man, you know what? I know things are a little tight this month, but I'm finna give to money. That's when you said yes. You know, loving God produces generosity. It's one of the clearest signs that we have. It's trusting him with what's in our hands. God uses what we have. God, we trust you beyond our walls. We know it ain't about just us. God, let us trust you. God, legacy matters more than my comfort. So I'm going to tell y'all, man, like I prayed. Pastor Rod didn't tell me what to pray up here or what to say or to do any of that, man. And I've just been in this season, man, where I'm not going to lie to you. We need, at Your Story Church, we need people to say yes. It isn't just about money. It's about surrendering and being obedient. But that's, I mean, we're 11 months old. We ain't got, I told y'all, I'm crazy. I ain't got to figure, I'm still trying to figure myself out. But, and so it just was on my heart because we're speaking about legacy and how a yes can change your legacy. See, this isn't about the size of a gift or the size of your yes. It's about equal surrendering. If we all agree to surrender equally to what God is telling us, Ananias didn't give money. He gave obedience. Union, your surrender made a difference in Your Story Church last year. And your surrender will make a difference in so many other things this year. And so, listen, I know I'm crazy, so I don't want you to just listen to me. What I want you to do is I want you to ask God, God, what am I supposed to surrender? How do I display generosity and obedience? in my life because I know it's a privilege? What is the kind of legacy you want me to build? It starts with a simple yes. Regardless of, man, listen, oh man, I'm like, ah, there was a season in my life, me and social media, we were intimate.

I just started following everybody, man. I've been on the unfollow, these, but I'd be like the mindset of a master. The power of this, the power of that. You know, all that mentality kind of things, right? And so going into this new year, I get here is the 12 things you need to do going into the year to be a great this. Here is the 10 things you need to do going into the year to be a great that. Here's the three things you need to do going in to do that. When God says, I just need you to say yes. I don't need you to do this. I don't need you to do that. I need you to hear my voice and say yes. And so I want to challenge you today. Remember Ananias appears briefly in scripture. His yes is just a moment, a moment in time. But because of that yes, Paul's name echoes through centuries and centuries. Heaven tells that story. He tells the story of Ananias saying, hey, look at this obedient one. Because one man said yes, the enemy of the church became its greatest missionary. Imagine what your yes can do, what it could create for your spouse, what it could create for your kids, what it could create for your brother or your sister or your neighbor.

Look at the impact. This is just an idea of the impact of what a yes can do. Because of one yes, Saul's sight was restored, but millions have seen the gospel clearly. I need y'all to hear, listen, listen. Because of your yes, I'm talking to you. If you're like, dang, he don't even know me, I'm talking to you. I'm talking to everybody in this room. Because of your yes, an ex-felon has the honor to pastor a life-giving church on the west side of Houston, to create a place where anyone can encounter Jesus and realize that their story is not done yet. Because of your yes, thousands have heard the gospel of Jesus and over 500 people have given their lives to Christ. Because of your yes, again, I say, hundreds of people baptized. Your yes didn't impact a moment. Your yes impacted generations. So Union, I know you've been talking about legacy and legacy offering, and I'm glad you said it, Susan, that it's still open to the end of the year. Because listen, I want you to go before God and say, God, what is my yes? Don't go and say, God, I need you to do this so I could do that. Don't go before God and say, God, if you pay that light bill,

I might be able to do a little something, something. Don't do that. Go to God and say, God, what is my yes? What am I to surrender to you, God? What is my yes? And when he tells you, know that it's gonna be uncomfortable. Know that it's gonna stretch. It's gonna stretch you. That's how you know it's God. But then just be obedient. The rest is in his hands. And watch how you step into a new legacy. We believe this with all our heart here at Union Houston and Your Story Church, that generosity is our privilege. We believe that God's not done yet. Not with you, not with me, not with Pastor Rod, Sarah, Vee, not with this city and not with the story he's still writing. Will you pray with me? Dear Heavenly Father, most gracious God, we come to you right now. God, we push aside all the noise and all the craziness. We push aside all the hurt and all the pains. We push aside and all the things that is keeping us distracted from hearing your voice. And we ask, what is our yes? What do we need to surrender to God? to you, Father, with our time, with our talent, and with our treasure. What is our yes to this legacy this year?

And God, we don't assume that everybody knows Jesus. As a matter of fact, can I get prayer partners up here? Can I get prayer partners up here? We don't assume that everyone knows Jesus. If something was said today, and you just want to say yes to Jesus, it's that easy, yes. And you want to know that, Jesus, that you know that you are a sinner in need of a Savior. And maybe you're in here today, and you're like, man, I know Jesus, but I've been tripping. I know what it is. I've been there. I want you to raise your hand, because we want to pray with you. Heavenly Father, for those that raised their hand, we ask the Lord that you just allow your spirit to rest upon them, that you fill their mind and their hearts, that you allow them to connect with somebody in this house, Father, to pray with them, to walk with them, and to believe with them. God, we pray to the Lord that they hear your voice and say yes. So, God, we love you. We give you honor. We give you glory. And we give you praise. And in Jesus' name, the church said, hey, listen, man, listen. Prayer is our lifeline. We listen. These people, these prayer partners, they want to partner with you. They want to believe with you. And if you've said, hey, you know what? I want to give my life to Jesus, come get prayer. If you say, I want to rededicate my life, come get prayer.
