Into His Hands | Pastor Eric Morris

What's up, men of God? Pastor Eric here, and I am so excited to bring this message to you. I want you to feel encouraged. I want you to feel hopeful. I want you to know that God is still working in your story. Our mission here at Victory City is to help every person take a step closer to Jesus. And can I tell you, man, as you're growing in the Lord, you're taking a step. So let's lean in, let's see what God has for us this week, and I know you'll be blessed for it, and I love you. Y'all, I am so excited to preach this message, and I hope that you are as hungry for it. You know, sometimes I think about it, like, why do we all gather to church together? Because it's really, like, it's really not for me, because I'm not that good of an entertainer. I really believe that the church, you and me together, that our Sundays are for the edification and equipping of the body, meaning this, man, if I've had a challenging week, man, I wanna be edified and encouraged in my spirit. Man, if there's spaces in my life where I need to know how to walk with Jesus better, I wanna equip you with the word. And so if you're new with us this morning and you're not a Christian, welcome, we're so glad you're here. I'm gonna talk to Christians,

because the church is what Jesus is building, and I wanna build what Jesus is building, amen? Praise God. Well, we're gonna talk about the cross this morning, and I wanna just help you out a little bit emotionally. We're not gonna go super deep and heavy into that stuff, because we know how the story ends. It's gonna be good. But before I jump into the message, I wanna welcome all the men at Bartlett Innovation Unit. Hey, let's love our men. Men of God, we're so thankful. Man, what an honor and privilege it is to equip them, and we love you guys, and I can't wait to be there in a few weeks once I get my clearance. They won't let me in yet, I don't have clearance. Hey, I wanna start with some graffiti. It's actually the first ever historical picture of the crucifixion, and they're gonna throw it on the screen right here. Some good graffiti, isn't it? This is called Aleximanos Graffitio, and this was found in a school outside of Rome where they would raise teenage boys and train them and develop them. And this is someone making fun of a Christian. And it says, Aleximanos worships his God, and it views the crucifixion as this silly thing. And it has Jesus as a donkey, literally meaning an ass, and here's Aleximanos worshiping a donkey.

He's making fun of Aleximanos. And this idea of mockery is one that hasn't gone away. Modern people still mock the crucifixion. Intelligent, educated people will look and go, oh, it just seems like the blood sacrifice and all that kind of stuff, it's so antiquated, it couldn't have happened. Or they say things like, why does somebody have to die in order to have life? Or maybe you've ever encountered, if Jesus is winning, why does he just look like he's losing all the time? And even some Christians, lean in with me here, we've heard the story of the cross. This is like our 47th Easter, and lean in, sometimes we can find ourselves bored of the cross, like it's just another message about the cross, Jesus died for me, okay, coming back, he rose from the grave, praise God, but I'm still struggling. Anybody ever find themselves there? Cool. Well, today, we're gonna look at a crucifixion story differently. We're gonna look at it like we're re-watching a movie, and we already know how it ends. I don't know about you, but when I find a really good movie, I like to watch it again, and I like to see the details in it. I was watching Sicario last night, a little dark, but I liked it, you know, with Benigio del Toro,

and I like any time the cartel gets what they get. Jesus died for cartel, it's difficult to swallow, but it's true. So we're gonna watch the crucifixion story, we're gonna relive it, but we're gonna relive it not looking towards it, but looking back at it, and what are the implications, and what maybe in the story that we just passed over did we miss, because every part of Scripture is pointing to something, and we're gonna start with this idea of mockery, mocking Jesus, sarcastic at Jesus, rolling their eyes at Jesus, and there's actually some mockery that is happening in the crucifixion story that we need to look at and understand its implications, and then we're gonna look at how Jesus won, and what that means for you and I heading into Easter. Sound good, you with me? So let's go to the Scripture. We see, first of all, Paul writes about this. He says, we preach Christ crucified. Now, how many of you right now, you have a piece of jewelry with Christ being crucified around your neck right now? Anybody? Now, how does the same thing that was mocked then fill cathedrals and art pieces where we find it so beautiful? How do two people see it differently?

One person sees it as something to be made fun of, another person sees it to be beautiful. That's why Paul says, we preach Christ crucified, because it offends the human sensibilities. We go, what, why, how? It doesn't make sense. That doesn't feel strong. It doesn't feel mighty. And some of us who are a little bit more sensitive feel a little bit like even offended. Why is this happening? But Paul says this, we preach Christ crucified, which is this, a stumbling block to the Jews and foolishness to the Gentiles. The Jews trip over it. No, our Messiah doesn't get crucified. Our Messiah restores the kingdom of Israel, and the Gentiles look at it as like, what strong person allows himself to be crucified? And can I tell you, today, there are modern people that still stumble over it and view it foolishly. Maybe some of you, before you came to Christ, you saw the message of Jesus as foolishness or doesn't make sense or I don't want any of that. And if we go to the scripture in Luke chapter 23, there's a story of the crucifixion, we see something really important here. There's three mockeries, and the first one is in Luke 23, verse 25. Or excuse me, where did I go?

23, verse 35, not 25. Forgive my dyslexia. And the people stood by watching, but the ruler scoffed at him, saying, he saved others, let him save himself. If he is the Christ of God, his chosen one. They're sarcastically saying, oh, this guy is a Messiah, he can't even save himself. He talks about saving the world, and here he is dying on a cross. How silly, how absolutely absurd to believe that this guy, and the mockery is around, save yourself if you're so strong. And this is the way modern people view power. Power is meant to save yourself. Use your wealth for yourself, use your strength for yourself, use your military for yourself, use your intelligence for yourself. And here Jesus is standing before people who have studied the law, put their entire lives into studying scripture, but they taunt Jesus, they make fun of Jesus. Luke 23, verses 36 through 37, again, it goes to the soldiers. The soldiers also, you guys can fill that up on the screen, the soldiers also mocked him, coming up and offering him sour wine and saying, if you are king of the Jews, save yourself. This is a political one. Kings don't die like this, kings have power, they have armies, they're strong.

This guy is nothing, he is weak. This is the political machinery of Rome. They've crucified thousands upon thousands of people, and this is just another piece of flesh that will be torn to pieces under the might of Rome. But what they don't know is that Jesus has all the power and authority to call down 12 legions of angels to smoke him, but he doesn't. He willingly submits even to their mockery. And the third one, this one's a little personal. The man hanging next to Jesus on the cross, the criminal, says one of the criminals who were hanged railed at him. Can you imagine literally dying and you're making fun of the guy that you're dying next to? I mean, talk about denial. But here, with his last breath, he is making fun of Jesus. It's almost like the deception has taken such deep root that he can't even see it. Are you not the Christ? You're supposed to be powerful and mighty. Save yourself and save us. They're mocking Jesus, they're making fun of him, they're taunting him. Now, why is this in the Scriptures? This is really important to understand. Now, if we're re-watching the movie, we know how it ends. Jesus comes back, Easter Sunday's a week away, where the church globally, all over the world, is gonna celebrate the risen King of Jesus.

And that's why we sang about it right this morning. Church of Christ is born and the Spirit lit the flame Praise God that there's human souls all over the world that believe in Jesus, but there are still human souls who mock him And taunt him Now why would that happen If I know he wins Why does the enemy mock Jesus more on that later And it's funny because there's another criminal next to Jesus There was one who was mocking him and there was another one who was sitting next to him And this is the thief on the cross many of you know the thief on the cross the story of the thief on the cross This is a picture of humanity and the thief on the cross says this in the scripture, and he says Jesus Remember me when you come into your kingdom two people seeing the same event One recognizes something's going on here He doesn't know the full understanding of it yet, but he's recognizing ah this guy's different the other one making fun silly save yourself and Isn't the idea of saving yourself the biggest lie that many of us believe? I have to create for myself the life. I want I have to self-preserve I have to white-knuckle it I have to figure it out all you brony's out there. You have to willpower it Gotta hold it down And they're taunting Jesus And again, I need you to see this that this is not just The council Rome the criminal this is the underlying lie of the enemy Save yourself You don't need a God and if you did why would you do this God? He's literally dying you don't want to die do you? And he uses pain and death and suffering and loss as the thing that keeps you from actually trusting Jesus What would it look like? To give Jesus full control To really believe it to really go all in on it

This is the lie of the enemy And the criminal says this right he goes He says will you remember me and I love it because literally as they're mocking him saying he cannot save himself He's saving somebody He's the first person that gets to go into paradise and he's personally escorted by Jesus. I'd be pretty cool Hey God got a bro with me Bringing him. It's my plus-one And in the same moment the same cinematic scene You see two things in equal parts justice and grace Justice all right, if you don't want me to be your king, I'm not gonna force you to Jesus gives you a will He didn't create robots and how many times has your will gotten you into some really big problems? But I'm That joke I'm allowed to do that I'm 42 But you see grace This man didn't go to church he didn't get baptized this is not prescriptive by the way I see some people try to use this as life advice You're gonna wait till they're 80 but live their life and on their dying breath Jesus, please forgive me And let me go to heaven He may do that if you can time it, right? That's really playing with some loaded dice But you see it Now I want you to picture this Because a lot of times we think that Jesus is like going to the cross as like I hope this works Maybe I've tried to tell him But what if Jesus was to go to the cross because that was the whole point It was literally why Jesus came He talked about all through the scriptures. I am the willing lamb. I will be slaughtered. I will be killed I will be rejected But a lot of times we have this perception that Jesus is going to the cross like maybe God come through on this one

Would a man Hoping to be resurrected three days later be worried about a criminal next to him No, probably not I don't know about you, but when I'm in pain, I don't care about what anything else is going on I'm hurting you ever been there Amen, this is where Jesus is that? So we see the mockery now. We're let's look at the winning move. This is the cool part I want to I want you to get to this and I want you to see this my whole goal in this is To get you to the end of the service to go Dude if this is real What does that change about Everything. And that's this idea first of a big term we're gonna use it, it's called kenosis. Because my daughter the other day was like, well Jesus went to the cross but he maybe, like because he was God, he probably didn't feel the pain as much. Kind of like when I used to get spanked as a kid and I put magazines down the back of my pants. Little divine padding. The rod in my staff didn't hurt as bad. Jesus doesn't have divine padding because of kenosis. It's a term, it says this in Philippians chapter two, verse six, they're gonna throw it on the screen for you. Guys, can you fill it up? It says this, who though he was the form of God did not count equally with God a thing to be grasped. But emptied himself, taking on the form of a servant being born in the likeness of men. Hold that on the screen.

Kenosis is this idea that Jesus did not use his divinity to his advantage while on earth. Because if he got to sometimes play the divine card, then he doesn't really know what it's like to be human. So the scripture is actually telling us that every miracle he did, every moment of pain, he did it being exactly the same kind of human as you and I are. Which means this, that every miracle, every signs and wonder, every moment of pain, we have the ability to access in Jesus' name. I don't know about you, but I pray for the day I can walk to a graveyard and say, Lazarus, come out. That'd be like, you wanna talk about some click bait there? I wanna pray for cancer to go away. I wanna pray for disease to go away. I wanna rescue people in Jesus' name, not because it's me, but because of God in me. And Jesus is showing us something here, that when he went to the cross, he went to the cross exactly how you would go to the cross. It's wild. But that's the winning move. Jesus was surrendering something. Because the enemy's logic is, save yourself, use power for yourself. But the reason the enemy cannot see surrender as the path to victory, because the enemy is the epitome of pride.

A prideful person can never see an apology. A prideful person can never surrender. A prideful person always has to see themselves at the center of the story, always has to see themselves as right, always has to see themselves as powerful. And so the enemy cannot see surrender because he is so prideful, but Jesus is actually showing that surrender is the true path to victory. Let me show you. You see, in Luke chapter 23, verse 45, something really cool happens here. It says, it was now about the sixth hour, and there was darkness all over the whole land until the ninth hour. And while the sun's light failed, the curtain of the temple was torn in two. Now, if you don't know what that means, I'm about to explain it to you. The curtain was a giant curtain that separated the holy of holies from the rest of the temple. You ever heard that term, the holy of holies? Maybe in Sunday school, or maybe somebody's called you holier than thou. The holy of holies was where the presence of God rested, the Ark of the Covenant rested, and the Jewish people believed that literally the very tangible presence of God

was in that space of the temple, so much so that only one person a year would get access to it. And what happens on the cross before Jesus dies is that the veil separating the holy of holies from the rest of humanity was torn in two. There's implications here. Because Matthew and Mark record it with a little bit more detail, and it says that the veil was torn from top to bottom. There's something there. Not bottom up. Not humanity ripping open the curtain so they can access God, but God tearing the veil so that humanity could access his presence. And Jesus is showing us something. This is not death. It happened before he died. Jesus is showing us something that when we surrender, we have access to the very presence of God that we do not get until we surrender. So maybe there's spaces in your life right now that you're wanting God to invade, and God's going, I want to, but you have to surrender. You have to give up control. You have to stop arguing, fighting with me. And many of us, we fight and argue

because the enemy lies to us. The enemy is still mocking you, doubting you, calling you crazy. Why in the world are you going to church on Sunday? Why do you give to that church? Why do you serve to that church? Why do you pray? Anybody ever felt like, why am I praying? It doesn't even do anything. Anybody ever felt that way? Come on, raise your hand at 10 o'clock. Come on. Listen, if you don't ever think that, then I don't know if you're human, right? Sometimes I'll be praying and like, does this work? What do you think that is that's the enemy mocking you? What an idiot praying to an invisible God. What's going to happen? Some of you, you know, prayer changes things. Prayer reorders your soul. It gives you an outlet to fight when you don't have any fight left. See, the enemy is constantly mocking, constantly making fun. And Jesus here is showing you that surrender actually gets you the greatest access. And Jesus does something really powerful here with his last words. These are the last words of Jesus before he goes and dies and is buried. And I don't know about you, but I think the last words of Jesus are probably really important. It's something we should pay attention to. And the Scripture says in Luke 23, verse 46, let's read this together. And it says, Then Jesus, calling out with a loud voice, said, Father, into your hands I commit my spirit. Having said this, he breathed his last. Jesus is quoting Psalm 31 here.

Psalm 31 is a psalm of a man in agony who pivots to radical trust. You see, his last breath is not a cry of deceit. Oh, Jesus, they beat me. Father, into your hands I commit my spirit. Do you think Jesus literally on the cross is going, I don't know if this is going to work. Or does he know? Does he know I'm about to do something so crazy here? I'm about to win for all humanity. You see, because we're watching the movie back, we know how the story ends. Jesus comes back three days later. And by the way, he eats fish, which means there's no vegans in heaven. I want you to see this. He comes back. He hangs out with his friends. He walks around. He lives a human existence post-death. Which that should tell us something, that there is something beyond this reality. And we will get to live again. And hang out with our friends. And have a barbecue. Praise God. Come on, heaven's full of rabbis. Prime too. No, what I'm saying is this. A lot of us, we think that this is the end. And Jesus is going, Father, into your hands I commit. Now, commit's an important word. Jesus is not giving up. He's going, one last time, let me show you the path to victory. Commit is actually a word that means to deposit for safekeeping.

What Jesus is doing here is he's going, God, I'm giving you my soul. Because I know that you are the greatest safety deposit box. See, the beautiful thing is this. This flesh that we wear, it's temporary. It's beautiful. God designed it. It's beautiful. We don't need to flip into Gnosticism that believes the physical is bad. But who we are is deeper than just our skin, our flesh, our wrinkles, our gray hair. It's something deeper. It's the soul. It's who we are. It's that interternal dialogue. It's that dream of what we could be if we didn't have so many hurts and hangups. What would life look like if you were perfectly secure in who you were and your personality quirks? How many times do we wish we were more introverted or extroverted? I wish I was more creative. That's the inner person. That's who you really are. This on the outside is only an expression of the soul. And Jesus at his last breath is depositing the very thing that you and I possess, which is a soul. And he's going, into your hands I commit my spirit. That's the winning move. Because the enemy may be able to maim the flesh, crucify the flesh, whip the flesh, torture the flesh, but they can't reach the soul. he says into your hands I commit my spirit and there is something happening here because you have something pretty cool which is a Roman centurion found in Luke 23 verse 47 and it shows us the clue he says now when the centurion saw what had taken place he praised God wait a minute this guy was just making fun of him but he praised God and look what he says certainly this man was innocent

hundreds of huge crucifixions he's a centurion he's battle-hardened he's a veteran how many people has he killed how many crucifixions has he witnessed he knows what dying men look like and sound like he's witnessed categorically them screaming and begging for help them in anguish and here's a man saying father into your hands I commit my spirit who is this guy and he says this person what does he say let me read it again certainly this man was innocent Matthew and Mark actually say that the centurion said truly this man was the son of God the word here used is diakaios which means he's righteous innocent it's a Roman legal verdict saying we got this wrong I want you see what's happening same event same event some see a failed Messiah some see a king who's not really a king and he's easily destroyed some see just another man who can't even save himself or save me but this Roman centurion sees something differently which means this that there is importance to how you see the cross how you see the cross that Jesus has asked you to take up do you view the cross is some like laborious burden of like oh I gotta suffer for Jesus gotta die to my flesh or do you see it as the cocoon that transforms you from this life to the next life because there is a reality beyond this life and Jesus coming back proves that now you may debate whether you believe Jesus came back or not that's totally that's totally legit you can do your own research but something happened to take 12 men 11 because Judas hung himself 11 men who were absolutely terrified at Jesus and then all of a sudden they were emboldened to take the gospel all over the world like something something changed in them and could it be that they met the risen Lord what's the trade you see here's the thing I need you to see this what Jesus did on the cross meant that the enemy lost done done the enemy cannot win well Eric why is the war still going on there's actually a story from World War two there was a man let me get his name right hero or nada he was a Japanese soldier and after World War two he continued to fight for 30 years in the jungle of the Philippines because no one had told him World War two was over he was still running guerrilla operations he was still shooting and killing people

because he hadn't heard that the war was over Satan is hero or nada the war was over in 33 AD it's over now I want you to see how malicious our enemy is he know he has lost it's decisive I lost but why does an enemy keep fighting even though he know he is ultimately lost here's why he just wants to take more casualties he just wants to kill more people now about you but there's a lot of war going on in our world today you notice that there's protest happening I think there was a no King's protest in Pflugerville they got it wrong there's one king he doesn't live in the White House but he lives in a big house big big house lots of rooms oh you know that song coming you grew up in church praise God if you don't know that song get saved all right here's the thing Why does an enemy keep fighting when he knows he's lost? We see the wars, we see Ukraine, we see Gaza, we see Iran. And us modern, sensible people, what's the thing that's the most upsetting to us? I think we have a problem, maybe marginally, when military individuals, there's casualties there. But there's also kind of like an ability to go, well, they signed up for that, and you know. But the thing that bothers us the most is when civilians die. We don't like it when we see the numbers in the Ukrainian war of the children who have died. There's a lot of people really upset, and I'm not making a political position, so please don't read into this, and this and that, no I'm not. I'm pointing to the idea that we don't like it when there's unnecessary casualties. In fact, how many of you have been outraged by that?

Maybe even posted about it. Let me just ask you a really quick question. Do you care about the casualties of the soul as much as you care about the casualties of political wars going on? He won, and the only reason the enemy is still fighting is because he wants to take more casualties. You see in Colossians 2.15, it says this. He disarmed the rulers in authority and put them to open shame by triumphing over them. Corinthians says, you're gonna pull it back up for me guys, do you have that scripture? If not, I'm gonna keep on moving. None of the rulers of this age understood this, for if they would, they have not crucified the Lord of glory. Basically this, here's what Jesus is saying. He's saying the path to victory was surrender. Surrender. So where do you lack surrender in your life? What are you still clinging to? What are you allowing the mockery of the enemy to get you to believe the lie that it's not true? Jesus modeled something from the cross that he invites you into, and it's not a one-time event. It's a posture. Father, into your hands. I commit my soul. Jesus has shown us, for five weeks we've studied this, Jesus is a king that is powerful over every religious system

and every cosmic power and every government system. He's a king that's honest with you. He doesn't do a bait and switch. He says, listen, if you're gonna follow me, it's gonna cost everything. He's up front with it. Number, the third week we talked about, what does Jesus do, what does the king do when humans fail? Human kings, when humans fail, they punish them. Jesus meets their failure with himself, and week four we talked about that Jesus even loves your enemies. He died for the cartel. What kind of king dies for his enemies? And today, Jesus is showing us that surrender even unto death, I still win, baby. So we should go into Easter weekend like we go into Christmas. Come on, how many of you guys remember when you were eight and it was Christmas Eve and you knew that presents were gonna be there in the morning and you couldn't sleep because you were so excited and I don't know what I'm gonna get. What did Santa get me? What did my mom and dad get me? I can't wait to rip open the present, even if it's just one. Come on, do you remember that? Come on, put yourself back in that Christmas Eve.

You anticipated it, you waited for it, you couldn't sleep. All week long we should live with that longing of, it's Easter Sunday, which means we've won. We've won. And there is life after death. And we should be able to look at life's circumstances. I'm not saying it's easy. I'm not saying we should go out there and be like, I wanna be a martyr. But let me just say, you're not gonna get whipped. The only thing that's gonna hurt you is your reputation. Oh, how light is that? Some of you cling to it. Some of you, you're $80,000 a year. You're like, no God, don't, you can't have it. This is my only thing, the life. Your comfort, we cling to certain things. Jesus is saying, surrender, surrender and I'll give you eternal life. I'll give you abundant life. And how many of us, we cling to 80 years of white-knuckled management. What would it look like to go? Wait a minute, like 80 years in the light of eternity is a rounding error. What would 80 years? feel like compared to eternity, an hour? I did some crazy stuff this week. I was talking to AI. And I asked him a question about human DNA.

Human DNA is brilliant. It confounds every evolutionary topic. Because DNA is code. How many coders in the room? Any coders? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You write code. Didn't I tell you that you are walking with code in you written by heaven? Your eye color was determined by code. And I asked ChatGPT. Actually, I used Claude. ChatGPT is broke. Claude. Claude, do the math for me. How many unique combinations of DNA exist to continue to make humans before the code would repeat itself? Meaning, how many unique expressions of DNA arrangement would lead to unique individuals? Claude said, the number is so big it outstretches our math. In fact, it said that the number of atoms in the universe was some like algebraic number that I don't understand. Atoms in the universe. And the closest math we can get to is that DNA will produce three times as many. So just, let me just go ahead and say this for human people like me. The amount of humans Jesus can create with their own uniqueness is limitless. And what Jesus is trying to show you, God is trying to show you

is that what we see on the outside is this physical expression of who we are. And Jesus, so unique and so powerful, can make so many different humans that all look different. That it's innumerable. But this is not who I am. The soul is who I am. And your soul is different than my soul. But your soul is worth saving. And Jesus wants to be in relationship with you. And Jesus wants to take that soul, that inner self, that inner dialogue, that inner dream of what would it be like if I wasn't so insecure? What would it be like if I was free? What would it be like if I wasn't afraid? What would it be like if I wasn't fat? What would it be like if I wasn't ugly? What would it be like if I didn't have a receding hairline? I know, that's why I shaved my head. And he takes that soul and he puts it into a heavenly body. I can't wait for my heavenly body. Is it 9% body fat? 8%? What is it? Like, I don't know. But it's perfect. Guys, we have won. Okay. Last thing, and I'm closing, is the last statement. It's my capstone statement.

I want you to take a picture of it, pray over it, let it sink into your soul. And that's this. The war is won. The king proved it with his last breath. And what he asked you to do is pray the same prayer. Father, into your hands I commit my spirit. Can I tell you that works on Monday? Today, God, I'm walking into a lot of stuff. But Father, into your hands I commit my spirit. God, I'm walking into a lot of mockery. Into your hands I commit my spirit. All my friends don't understand me. Into your hands I commit my spirit. God, it's a really difficult time with lots of anxiety. Father, into your hands I commit my spirit. I am putting my soul in the greatest safety deposit box known to humankind. And I know that when I breathe my last breath here, it will be like shutting my eyes and opening my eyes again in a heavenly body in Jesus' name. Thank God for that. Thank God for that. Praise God. All right. I got 60 seconds. And now I'm gonna mobilize you just for a second. If you know the war is over, that means you and I's job is to reduce the casualty count. Mm, touch a neighbor.

And say, you gotta be an evangelist this week. Do the work of an evangelist, even if you're not an evangelist. Isn't that funny? Paul says, I don't care if you think you're an evangelist or not, you gotta do the work of it. Which means sharing the hope that you have. So here's the deal. I can gimmick it all day long and I'm not trying to make you feel guilty and like, if you don't invite people to church, you're not a true Christian. I would just say, if you don't invite people to church, you don't really believe it. Praise God. So who in your life is a potential casualty of the enemy. And here's the thing, the criminal on the other side that denies Jesus shows us that not everybody's going to say yes, but everybody deserves an invitation. Amen? Hey, let's pray over Easter. Dear Heavenly Father, I just thank you, Lord, that we won. I pray that we're able to go in to next week rejoicing. Father, I pray that this week, that God, you would just help this message drop into our spirits, Lord, and that we would see that you have won through surrender, and you're asking us to do the same thing. Just surrender. God, what this week is, we're in our soul. What's this week? God is heavy. Where's the mockery of the enemy in our mind? Because the enemy can't win, he can only lie to me, steal my joy, steal my hope, kill my trust. Lord, where have I been believing the mockeries of the enemy rather than the truth of Jesus? And God, what would that change in us if we believed it? Like, really believed it? And let us walk it out. In Jesus' name we pray, everybody said, amen. Come on.
