IN HIM - Part 14 - FTC Guidelines For Identity Theft

We're living in victory! The battle's won in victory! We've overcome whatever comes our way! No one can change the sea! We're living in victory! Through our Lord Jesus Christ! Hello, this is Mike Kennedy with the Living in Victory broadcast. I hope you're having a blessed day. I call you blessed. This year, God has plans to prosper you, to bring you up. Amen? Well, this is part 14 of the series titled, In Him. The title today is FTC Guidelines. Federal Trade Commission Guidelines. You say, well, what does that have to do with the Word? We're going to get into it. Just join your faith with me, Heavenly Father. We come to you asking you for revelation, wisdom, knowledge, understanding of your Word. Understanding of who we are in you. What we have in you. That you get glory in our life. We thank you for it, Lord. In the name of Jesus, Amen. Well, the series is based on Philemon, verse 6. That the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgement of every good thing which is in you and Christ Jesus. You know, identity theft is a major issue in our universe today. In the world today. In the United States. It's a critical issue. Amen? Spiritually and naturally. The enemy wants to attack you so that you don't know who you are in Christ. He wants to take your identity of who you are as a child of God. Rob you of it. Rob you of your rights of it. Rob you of understanding who you are in him. He also wants to influence people to steal from you.

To steal your identity. To take blessings from you. Wealth from you. Property from you. Amen? Not knowing what your rights are can cost you blessings in this life and throughout eternity. Amen? The FTC, the Federal Trade Commission of the United States government mentions a few guidelines on identity theft recovery. Amen? And you say, well, what does that have to do with the word? I'm going to give you scriptures. Amen? But the FTC guidelines, they mentioned a bunch of different things, but really they fall under five different steps. What do you do regarding identity theft? Number one, detect it. Number two is alert, take control, close accounts, close issues, shut them down. And the fifth one is stay alert because the enemy still wants to attack. There are still people out there every day trying to take your identity theft, your blessings. So let's look at these five in a biblical perspective. Detect. First of all, you've got to realize your identity has been stolen. Yes, our identity was stolen because of our sins. It started with Adam and Eve, but you and I, we can't judge them. We've missed it. We've sinned. Amen? The enemy wants to steal our identity of who we are in Christ. Make false charges against us. Fake accusation. He is the accuser of the brethren. He's the father of lies. So it's a critical issue to know if you've been attacked, if your identity has been stolen, if it's been attacked, if it's been misused. Amen? If you don't even know your identity has been stolen, you're in a bad situation. Many people on earth have no clue that Satan has taken their identity from them, that they've been robbed of their true identity of who they are in Christ. Because of that, they've been robbed of not only who they are, but what they could have in Christ, what they have as rights, as sons of God. To know that it's been stolen, you must know who you are in Christ. You must know what the Word says you have to even know if something's been stolen from you. Amen? Not understanding your identity in Christ will keep you living in a subpar life, lower level than what God has planned for you, planned for me,

in a lower level than what God has planned for you, planned for me, level than what Jesus bought and paid for. Amen. You know if I left you a new house and money but you are still renting an efficiency on the bad side of the tracks, people may be like what's wrong with that boy? What's wrong with that girl? They've got money in the bank, they've got a house in a beautiful part of town that's been bought and paid for but if you don't know it or don't know how to access it, you can't enjoy it and that's what the enemy is trying to do. Amen. You need to understand what your rights are. If I left it to you in a trust or a will, what are your rights? How do you get it? How do you access it? Amen. How do you move into that place? So even though it's been bought and paid for and given to you, you must know how to act on it, how to access it and you must act and take steps to move it to access it. Amen. As you learn more about your identity in Christ, you can stand on the Word and receive that inheritance that Jesus has already bought and paid for. Hallelujah. Many people have stolen identity because of things like rape, divorce, bankruptcy, felony charges, getting fired from a job, and they've had their identity stolen. Yes, it's likely sometimes due to their mistakes not being led by God, by their own sinful desires, but God is merciful. Hallelujah. People have made bad decisions on alcohol, peer pressure, drugs, but they are believing the lives of the enemy and the enemy is keeping them out of fulfilling the call of God on their life from receiving the redemption, from receiving His goodness. Amen. And the second thing that the FTC mentions is to alert people, alert different things. Well, if you've had your identity stolen, you need to pray and talk to God. Amen. Don't be ashamed

of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Openly declare what you have in Him. Fight the good fight of faith. Amen. If you've got something the enemy is trying to steal, you know, supposed to be a good washer, a good dryer, a good car, and the enemy's trying to take it, don't curse it. Say, oh that's a piece of junk. No, that car is blessed. It's going to last as long as I need it. Satan, I bind you. I shut you down. Get your hands off of it. Amen. You need to naturally, if your identity has been stolen, you need to rebuild your credit. You need to rebuild your identity on solid ground, on truth. You need to let people know your creditors, banks, things like that. No, no, I didn't make that charge. I deny that charge. That was not me. Amen. The third thing that the FTC mentions is taking control. We just talked about that briefly whenever I said contact your credit card companies. Let them know that that was a fraudulent charge. Let police know, whatever it may take. No, that was not me. My identity was stolen. And the third one, take control. In other words, admit your sins to God, not to everybody else. Admit it to God. If you need to tell somebody that you've done something wrong to them and get it right, repent, go to that person. But you don't have to tell the whole world you go to that person. Admit your sins. Brother Jesse DePlantis, he said admit it, quit it, and forget it. Amen. Now that'll preach glory to God. Isaiah 43 verse 25 says, I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions for my sake, and I will remember your sins no more. Transgressions, you went too far, you did something that you knew you shouldn't have done, you sinned. But God does not want to remember them. He wants to wash you clean. Remember them no more like you've never done it, but you must admit it. You must be honest. Amen. Humble yourself and say, yep, I did it. Amen. You know, that'll help in your marriage relationship as well. Yeah babe, I did that. I apologize. Don't try to snake around it. Don't try to,

oh well, you don't understand the whole story and you're just trying to get out of a situation. No. Repent, admit it, amen, and change. Psalms 103 12 says, As far as the east is from the west. Now that's total opposite directions and it goes on for millennia. Who knows how far the east is from the west? There are galaxies that we haven't even recognized or found yet. So as far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed your transgressions from us. This is God's plan for us, but we have to communicate with Him. We have to come to Him and repent. Amen. Boldly come to the throne. Get clean. Get right with Him. Don't run from Him. Part of that is controlling what comes into our own minds, our thought life. This is where the battleground occurs. It's your mind you can control it. Amen. You may need to renew your mind. 2nd Corinthians 5 17 says, Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. Amen. A new creation. Old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. Forget it. It's passed away. It's been cleaned. Amen. You're a new creation. Forget the things you've done wrong and move forward. But you need to repent for them first. Romans 12 2 says, And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. That word transformed means metamorphosis. It's like taking a caterpillar and being metamorphosized into a butterfly. That is a radical change gloried to God. If you became a Christian and didn't have a radical change, you need to get in the word and receive who you are in Christ. Amen. You know tolerance is the first step to conformity. If you tolerate something in your life, a little lie, things like that, eventually you will conform to the Father of lies and His plans rather than the Father of truth and His glorious, prosperous, blessed plans for your life. There are certain things we should not tolerate in our lives, in our houses, in our minds. Stolen identities is one of the items we should not tolerate. You know if a credit card thief takes your credit card and takes $10 a month, okay it may not

bankrupt you, but if you let it keep going on, $10, $100, $1,000, when are you going to shut it down? When you're in a bad situation? When you're bankrupt? No, you need to shut the enemy and his lies down now. Stop him now. Take control over those thoughts and renew your mind now. Amen. Bind him, command him to stop his activities in your life, and that you ask the Lord to show you what to do, how to fight. You need to resist the enemy. Amen. Fight him. The fourth thing you need to do is close accounts. Quit listening to wrong people. You know, people will tell you things that will get you off. You know, they will try to mislead you. I wouldn't put up with that. Jesus put up a whole lot for you and for me. So much that he went to hell whenever he didn't do anything wrong, no sins. He was condemned in a situation where he did nothing wrong, and yet he kept his mouth closed rather than calling legions of angels to take him out because he loved us. Amen. We need to quit listening to wrong people, wrong things, wrong thoughts. Shut down those fake things, those phony relationships. Get out of wrong relationships. Amen. There's people that are in relationships and situations because it's easy, because they're afraid, because they've been abused, but they keep staying in that situation. Get out. Amen. You need to rebuke the enemy, stand on the word, which means you must know the Word. Amen. And the only way to know the Word is to get in the Word and read the Word. Listen to broadcasts like this where people are teaching the Word. Amen. Colossians chapter 3 verse 1 says, If then you were raised with Christ, raised with Him, seek those things which are above where Christ is. Glory to God. One of these days, I'm going with Him, seated with Him, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, and that means your affection, your love on things above, on godly things, not on worldly things, things that the enemy has done, not on things of the earth. For you die died, not your spirit, but you have died. Your soul has died and has been recreated in Him. Hallelujah! Your soul has been reborn in Him. Glory to God. Set your mind affection on things above not on things of the earth

for you died and your life is hidden with Christ and God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. Hallelujah! I'm going to heaven when He comes back. I'm blowing this popsicle stand. I'm out of here. I'm going to heaven with Him for eternity. Hallelujah! You must forget what man thinks about you. Most people build their life on something other than Jesus. You need to build it on the rock. A strong firm foundation that's unmovable. Not swayed, amen? Not tossed with every wind that comes across you. Every attack of the enemy. You know Matthew chapter 7 verse 24 gives us a good example of this. It says, Therefore whoever hears these sayings of mine and does them, in other words, only doers of the word get results. Only people who read the word or understand the word and actually apply it to their life and do it, get the good results of the plans of prosperity, the plans of blessing, protection of health that God has for us. Not readers of the word, not churchgoers, but people who actually do the word, amen? You can go into a gym and teach people how to lift weights and never lift a weight and you're not going to be in shape that you would be if you got underneath that bench and actually push some muscle, amen? Some weight. Doers of the word, what this means is it's the rock in which a house should be built. Your life should be built that will last throughout eternity and that will only be the case if you build it on the rock of the word, amen? It goes on in Matthew 7 24. It says, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock and the rains descended and the floods came and the winds blew and beat on that house and it did not fall for it was founded on the rock. Notice it doesn't say that, oh they're a child of God, there's not going to be any

wind, any rains, no attacks. No, the enemy is out to attack but if you stand on the word, if your life is built on the word, man, those storms will come and you will still be standing because you're a doer, amen? The doer still had a storm but he stood on the rock of the word and over came. That makes you an overcomer in him, glory to God. Glory to God. This man fought the fight and he obtained the prize. He did God's will for his life and he got the prize, hallelujah. Verse 26, But everyone who hears these sayings of mine and does not do them, oh this is a this is an awareness situation, you should be aware, you should be on on guard of this. Everyone who hears these sayings of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. Say, I ain't foolish, I ain't no fool, amen? Don't be what Mr. T says, you ain't no fool man, don't be a fool. Rebellion puts you in an unsafe situation, an unsafe position, but if you are obedient to the things of God, you are protected from the schemes of the enemy, glory to God. Verse 27, In the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house, and it fell. What house fell? The one that was built on sand. A foolish person builds their house on sand, and the great, and great was its fault, man it came slamming down, amen. In good weather, the house seems fine, no issues, but all of a sudden, a storm comes and everything they've got is destroyed, wiped out, washed away because they were not built on a solid foundation. How many people have looked like they've got wealth, you know they look like they were multi-millionaires and they're bankrupt because they did not do things on a solid foundation according to the word with wisdom, amen. You know, now that we live in Florida, I

don't want the type of house that I grew up in made with sticks, two by fours. No, I want a house that's got a foundation, amen. concrete with solid walls made out of brick, made out of concrete, amen, a roof that has straps on it holding down the roof onto the beams, amen. Glory to God. I want a foundation that is solid, unmovable when winds come, when the hurricanes come our direction. See most of mankind build things that are on sand type of ground rather than on the rock which is Jesus. You can face any storm that comes your way if you build your life and your identity on who you are in Christ Jesus based on the Word of God. Most Christians on earth have little to no idea or knowledge who they are in Christ. They don't know what their identity is in Him, what they have in Him, what their rights are, what their authority is that Jesus has bought and paid for. That's why we're going over this series so that you know what your rights are, who you are in Him, and that your identity can be firmly established, founded on the Word of God, the rock, amen. And the fifth thing that is mentioned in the Federal Trade Commission website on identity theft is to stay alert. The enemy is a liar and a thief. John 10 10 the enemy comes to steal, to kill, and destroy. But I, Jesus, has come to give you life and life abundantly. The enemy has one thing and that's to steal, to lie, to destroy, to kill you. That is his whole agenda against you is how to take you out. You say, He ain't bothering me. That's because you're already submitting to Him. He knows that you're going to hell. So now He may give you some some trials and tribulations, but man, you're already serving Him. He's after people who are willing to serve God because He is the enemy of God, amen. You know, you could tell Satan to go straight to hell. He's the only person you need to tell to go to hell because God created hell for him, not for any mankind. No, you don't want your enemies to go to hell because you want mercy sown for you. You don't want to judge them because you don't want to be judged. You want them to have mercy, amen. You want them to receive what God has that they fulfill the call of God on their life, amen. Pray for your enemies. Bless your enemies so that they can see

the love of God and they change. Then they won't be your enemies no more. They'll be your brothers, your sisters. Glory to God. 1st Peter 5 8, it says, Be sober. In my Bible, before that, I have the word Y-O-U listed there. You, be sober. That means think straight about God. I need to think straight about God. Stay on His side, amen. Be vigilant. Stay awake. Stay alert, amen. Because your adversary, that means one who is against you, one who is anti you, the devil walks about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. He can't devour me. I am a child of the Most High God. My identity is based on His Word, founded on His Word, amen. What about you? Verse 9, Resist Him. Stand against Him, in other words. What do we stand against? The thoughts that He brings to us. You need to resist those thoughts that don't line up with the Word of God steadfast. In other words, stick with it in faith, steadfast in faith. You need to resist Him. Take control over thoughts. This is how to keep Satan from devouring you. Take control of your thoughts. It's your mind. You can control your thoughts. You may have to keep saying, nope, I'm not thinking about that. Nope, get out of here. I'm not thinking about that and start praising God and an enemy will flee, man. He can't handle when you start praising God. It goes on to say, knowing that the same sufferings, what does that mean? Sufferings, not getting your way, having to resist, rebelling against the schemes of the enemy, rebelling against what the enemy is pressuring you to say and to do, amen. Resisting things like fear and lust goes on to say, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world, but may the God of all grace, He's a God of grace, a God of mercies, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus. you have suffered a while, perfect you, establish you, strengthen you, and settle you. I speak that over you right now. Be perfected, matured, complete, established in Him. Be strengthened in the name of Jesus. Be at peace, be settled, amen? Knowing that God has plans to prosper you, to bring you up. No, it doesn't matter what you've done. No, the power of the blood can wash it away, make you clean like you never did it again. Receive what He has for you, amen? In this natural world, we can do things like life lock, house lock. We can put up things where there's triple verification, change our passwords to the point where they're really hard to get into,

set up alerts for credit cards. These are ways to identify when the thief is trying to attack. You need to put a guard on every thought. Does it line up with the word? Be on alert because he's going to bring thoughts that don't line up with the word, amen? You know, I've got a software engineering background and I believe that during the end times that the thief, the enemy is going to use identity theft to convince people to put on the mark of the beast. He's going to convince them that it will protect your identity from all these people that steal it. It's going to protect your children from being safe, unsafe, from being stolen, sex trafficking. It's going to protect your finances, people from taking your credit card, getting into your checking account. It's going to prevent your assets, your houses being stolen, your social security being stolen, you know, artificial intelligence. It can be used to transfer the gospel into numerous languages within milliseconds. It can be used to glorify God, but I believe the enemy in the end times is also going to use what God has created to build the kingdom as a way to take people's identity, amen? Artificial intelligence, right now you can make people look and sound like someone else with AI, misrepresenting what people truly said or did. You can break up what they said, change the formation of their mouth to make it look like they said something they didn't say. You know, it used to be a saying where a picture was worth a thousand words, not anymore. You don't know if that picture was modified, if it was created with artificial intelligence, amen? A person's belief can destroy a person or a country, so if people believe the lies of the enemy or lies of something that was manipulated with artificial intelligence, it can destroy their life if they don't stand on the word, amen? You know, people followed Hitler and believed a lie. Socialism, you say all socialism is good. No, it's not. It's of the devil, glory to God. Socialism means that you have the right to what other people have worked and obtained. Equality is not fair, and I'll get into that into another message. Equality is not fair. What is fair is you get what you earned, amen? Glory to God. Well, this is Mike Kennedy with Living in Victory.
