IN CHRIST | Redeemed in Christ | Ephesians 1:7-10 | Arik Hayes
In Christ, we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our sins, and freedom from the penalty and power of sin.
In the third installment of our powerful series IN CHRIST, Elder Arik Hayes walks through Ephesians 1:7–10 in REDEEMED IN CHRIST, revealing God’s eternal plan of salvation, the mystery of His will, and the riches of His grace lavished upon us.

one of three technically pastor Phil is our senior elder senior pastor and it's Elder Milton, James clap it up for Elder, Elder Milton. Alright and then it's myself man I want to I want to make sure that you know we lean into you guys man that we don't turn religious and we don't just come in and kind of throw our hand in the air and not connect in the moment that we're worshiping a true and living God. Can we talk like we family I got to fight it off myself we have to fight off religion fight off just a Sunday experience and really pour our hearts out man so we can rekindle that love sometimes fire isn't necessarily an event fire is you just apologizing and repenting sometimes that's enough to rekindle the fire that you got in your heart so continue to lean in beloved are you with me all right. Welcome to 2018-19 church beloved how y'all doing today. Good to see you. Good to see you. Alright glad we're able to work with the time changers. Yes, ma'am. Alright this is what we're doing. Since after the experience you can come down to the front we'll be able to help you out okay. Welcome to Atlanta. Alright God bless you. Amen. Amen. We are churches the house of prayer, presence and proclamation. We'll continue to beat that into the DNA of our church. I want to welcome our online community, our digital disciples. Some of you have actually come into the room across the camera. We thank you for coming. You are part of our family. Just want to affirm you in that way. And last but not least in this house we welcome the unbeliever. Amen. I was about to preach for another five minutes on that. Hey listen, it's a that's nothing. We can't get religious. The gospel is about the unbeliever. Right. He's looking for the lost. You know one of the worst things we can do is get into the family of God and they get hardy. We're like I made it don't care about nobody else. And we don't say that out loud but are we sharing the gospel? Are you praying for your neighbors? Are you praying for your coworkers? Your unsaved loved ones? We all could do a better job of that. Right. So unbeliever, if you're in here, we do believe you're in here. You are welcome. Right. So it's a place where we say you can belong before you believe. That means
if you're still wrestling with the claims of Christ, right. Maybe somebody has invited you and you're like, I don't know. That's a lot of shouting. That's all. I don't know what that's about. Cool. Keep hanging out. Okay. Our hopes and our desire to catch out the bag that you would actually come upon the Ark of safety like us and get to know a God like this by the power of the Holy Spirit and through the cross. Right. So we wanted to welcome you. At this time it's customary that we honor the pastor of this ecclesia, Philip Anthony Mitchell. No pressure. Wanted to open up to give you opportunity to praise them. Excuse me. Show honor. Show honor. We show honor to those whom it is do. And we believe we have an honorable pastor. Amen. Okay. And as a church today, we are continuing the new sermon series in Christ. Have you been blessed about this series so far? Man, two weeks ago, pastor was talking about being chosen. I was losing my mind. Chosen beforehand, before the very foundation of the world, me, adopted as a son, me? Yeah, me. And even those that know we love the reminder, don't we? Amen. But I'll be preaching at the "Redeemed in Christ." "Redeemed in Christ." Please bite your head, allow me to pray for us again. Holy Father, I've got to thank you for all that you have bought to this building, all that you have bought to this live stream. God, you even know which recording is going to go up. God, you are aware, intimately aware of the affairs of men, the affairs of your children, the affairs of the unbeliever. You know those that have been chosen that are not saved yet, God. Such a mighty God. I pray, God, you would take this sermon. You would take your Scriptures, God, and you would tattoo revelation from the Holy Ghost onto our souls today. There wouldn't just be another sermon that it would change us, as my elder says that we will be transformed by the Holy Ghost. Help us do our part in leaning. And God, I look to decrease. God, that you would increase in this moment. Have your way, Holy Ghost. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen and amen. Okay. You might stay with me, Frank. I appreciate your family. If you've heard me preach a couple times, I usually have a saying like, you know,
can I talk to you like we family? Okay. All right. So I need to be able to talk to you like we family today. Is that all right? Okay. Because usually at the beginning of a sermon, like we actually prep for a sermon. It's like we try to, we study and then we think about things and usually we have like an intro where we bring up something that is natural that will be able to catch your heart, that you're interested in, and then be able to segue real quick and to slide into the scriptures and say this is like that. And it makes like a small transition, right? We try to do that. Family, I don't have that today. I don't have it, right? And it's not because I didn't try. It's because I'm much like in the same position that our pastor was two weeks ago. This is so weighty. It's so rich. It's so pregnant. That I didn't have a vist to compare to that. So with that being said, I want to ask you, please lean in as we jump into the scriptures. One thing I do want to remind you between three and 14, the verses in the first chapter of Ephesians is one long run on sentence. Okay. So what I want to do is I want to jump back and read the scriptures that pastor read two weeks ago, three through six, and then jump into seven through 10, which is going to be my assignment. Okay. All right. So let's jump into the Word of God. Ephesians one, three reads as follows, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world." That's good already. "That we should be holy and blameless before him in love. He predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace with which he has blessed us in the beloved." All right. So I'll jump in with my assignment with verse seven, and it says, "In him we have redemption through his blood." "The forgiveness of our trespasses or sins, according to the riches of his grace." And the amplified version that reads as such, it says, "In him we have redemption." And it expounds, it says, "That is our deliverance and salvation." I'm going to say that again. That is our deliverance and salvation. We have it through his blood, which paid the penalty for our sin and resulted in the forgiveness and complete pardon of our sin. Say complete pardon. Say it again. Say complete pardon of our sin. That's what you have. "In accordance with the riches of his grace." So much like the worship moment earlier, right? I noticed that really when I said that, and it's not because I'm saying this,
it's because the Word says it and it's true. But if we're honest and we talk like family, which we will, some of us don't really believe we have a complete pardon from all of our sins. Some of us live and believe as if it's a partial pardon. Some of us live like only Elder Milton got the complete pardon. And because I don't do like I should, I didn't get the complete pardon. I got the partial package and I'm saying no, the cross was complete. I'm going to get on. I'm going to jump and I'm going to shout because I am excited. But I want to slow down and say things because I don't want you to think this is hype. It's the truth that is real that causes the hype. But the hype, the real hype, only comes when you have a relation of the truth, that you have a complete pardon from Christ. You have a complete pardon from Christ. Like every once in a while, you'll see we're a governor or president or somebody who did the crime and they're doing time and somehow they'll make their way. They'll make their inroads. They have to connect, they get in contact with somebody that has the poor, that has the power to give them a complete pardon. And guess what, when they get out, they're not going back to jail. Why? Because they have been pardoned. The person who gave them the pardon had the power to do so. I say the same thing for our father. He is the only one that had the power to give a complete pardon from all of our sins and you have it, beloved, you have been redeemed. Such a rich word, you have been redeemed. The penalty of sin has been paid on the cross of Calvary 2000 years ago. You have been redeemed. All my sins were wrapped up in that tab, paid in full, I have been redeemed.
Now redemption is actually a word or as I pass to it say, I think people call it like a meta theme, something you see from the beginning to the engine, this is the revelations. You've heard them maybe say that honor is a meta theme throughout the Bible. You'll see it in different places, right? All throughout the Bible. And many of this I could actually describe as the story of redemption, the fall of man to the combination of all things with him, the wedding supper of the lamb, right? So some things are out there in the future. We will be with him. He actually went and said, I'm going to prepare a place. If it were not so, I wouldn't told you I'm coming back to get you. That's in the future. We don't know how far in the future could be tomorrow. And listen, some of y'all said, Jesus is coming back, Jesus is coming back. You feel like it's hype. You won't say it in church when you feel like it's hype, right? I want to remind you, Paul said we in the last days 2,000 years ago. So if he said that then, and he said it's still hype. That's what you don't know when your last day is. I mean, I'll be the last day, but your last day, things are wrapped up from you. It is very, it's in your best interest, unbeliever. It is in your best interest to believe before you leave here, because all of us will encounter the righteous judge. Oh, you will encounter him. He started this thing. He will end it. Can't get around him. He said, Marvel, not you must come in at the door. You must be born again, or you will experience eternal separation from him, and all that is good and godly and holy and just and kind is going with him.
And without him, there will be weeping and gnashing their teeth, no middle ground. You see, while the gospel message is the most important thing? There's no middle ground. You don't get the camp out in the cute part of hell. Get you a couch, it's hot over there, it's more and more real. No, lake of fire. Ain't no cute part of hell. I just want to camp out on the bank of the lake of fire. No, you're in it. And I also point out it wasn't- It was made for the enemy and his demons. But if you side with them and you reject Christ, that's where you actually end up. It's not his desire as we're already reading at that before you. So there's some future things. There's also when it comes to the day of redemption, we actually, it comes to get us and we actually get our glorified bodies to be able to handle the glory of the Lord of close and personal, right? That's future. I don't know when it's gonna be, it's in the future. But beloved, there are some things that we have right now. Some things you have right now, we just talked about the complete part in, okay? That's another thing you have right now. Let's go over to Romans 6, 18. Talking about redemption. 6, 18, ESV, reads as such.
It says, "And having been set free from sin, we have become slaves of righteousness." Give it to you and amplify. "And having been set free from sin, you have become the slaves of righteousness, of conformity to God's will and God's purpose." If we're talking about redemption, we're talking about a ransom being paid. We're talking about us being purchased back, right? So I also wanna say, listen, this is a gospel preacher's church that I tell you the truth. There's also no middle ground when they come to that. You are slave to sin or you are slave to righteousness. We want too much freedom. We wanna convene your middle ground. Behold him when we feel like it until it gets a little too uncomfortable. (indistinct chatter) - But we have been set free from sin. You now have power over sin. So when you think what we currently have, there's some things out in the future, but what we currently have is we're free from the penalty of sin. It was paid on the cross. And we are also free from the power of sin. Free from the penalty of sin. Free from the power of sin by means of the cross. And beloved, too many of us walk around this orphans like we don't have either one.
Orphans. And I'm gonna tell you, because me and Oda talk, we talk all the time, we share our office. We also talk, talk back, you know, in the office. And we say, not a lot of people, we think know how to walk in the power of the spirit. Right? And this is summer of our fall. We tell you, be holy, be holy. Walk like God, be holy, and some of y'all are in it. Y'all don't say it out loud, but internally, man. I don't know how to do that. I tried and I failed, okay? Now, give it a couple of tips. One, quit following all of your feelings. Stop. They are indicators, they are not, they are horrible leaders, right? So, okay, you have a feeling where you're saying, "Hey man, I have to walk in fear." No, you don't. I have to act up and have this fit of anger. They don't push all my buttons. No, you don't. I have to click this and watch this, although I know I am committing adultery with my eyes and my heart. No, you don't. I have to lie because if I face the consequences,
there will never be any salvation for me. Lie. So, what you can do, you can take whatever, jealousy, fit of anger, all of it. You can take it, and you can say, you know what, this is a desire of mind, but it is not my master. (audience cheering) Right, so you can identify the feeling, don't put your head in the sand. Identify, what is this? It's like I got a gossip. No, you don't. Identify it and say, "I identify this is in my heart." This is good, beloved. Identify this is in my heart, right? But it is not my master. My master is Christ. And he says, "Instead of be jealous, "I should pray for them." So now, there is a tug of war going on. I said in the previous two experiences, you ever been, you ever walk the dog that was a little too strong for you? You may have fallen, you got up, anybody lookin', like they may have been, it's, but, and some of y'all, y'all dealing with something, some things that are tough, you have addictions. You have generational patterns. You feel like you have to gossip.
Some people got real life anger problems. What I would call that is a big dog. But if you ever, if you ever walk the big dog, what you have to do is you actually have to brace yourself. Because the dog is gonna do what the dog gonna do. Hey, beloved, can I bring that real, real practical for you? You still have a sin nature. Even with all the redemption I'm talkin' about here, and it's true, you still have a sin nature. It's going to pull on you. So I like to say, if you learn how to deal with your, deal with your, your flesh, or your flesh gonna deal with you. No middle ground. So what you have to do is, you have to get the leech on the dog. Wrap it around your hand and dig in. And say, we're goin' this way, we're goin' this way. Ah, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. No, no, no, we're goin' this way. You are not my master, I master you. We goin' this way. We're gonna follow my master, he is Jesus. (congregation cheering) Two men of us waiting for the desire to go away. It may never have you been here saying, "God, take it away, take it away from me, father. "Take it away, phone me at the mouth. "I don't need a master. "It's my take it away, take it away, take it away.
"Take it away, oh God, take it away. "Take it away, that hurts my heart. "Take it away, take it away." And guess what, most of us still deal. (congregation cheering) And ain't most of us still there? That times he will miracle you out of a place. He is gracious to do so. The rest, you have to fight. The scriptures say mortify the deeds of the flesh. And one of the biggest things is, we don't really believe that we're redeemed and have power over sin. (congregation cheering) 'Cause if you believe that, we act different. (congregation cheering) Letting a dog lead me around the parking lot scraping at my knees, get over here. (congregation cheering) And say you feel, it's not a fact. You feel like it's too strong for you. You just don't give up. Let them drag you around. You call for help, hey. Why not need help, pay for it. Else I need help. I need help, be like, come on. You are not the master of me. We are going this way. (congregation cheering)
'Cause we are redeemed. We are redeemed. Let the redeemed of the Lord, say so. (congregation cheering) Hi. (congregation cheering) (congregation cheering) I am redeemed. Redeemed from the penalty and the power of sin. Why? Through the blood. (congregation cheering) Why? Because he loved me. We have to believe the truth and enact on the truth of the scriptures. Or your feelings and your lusts and desires will lead you all over the place. Then the scriptures say we are drawn away by our own lusts. 'Cause what may get you, may not get me. When may it get you, may not get you. (congregation cheering) And again, this is one, one long run on, right? So I wanna make sure we catch coming out of the last verse, going into this one, right? At the end of verse seven, it says, according to the riches of his grace, verse eight, it says, which he lavished upon us, say lavished in all wisdom and insight.
He lavished upon us in all wisdom and insight. So I looked up lavished and it said, to super abound in quantity or quality, be in excess to cause to super abound or exhale abound abundance. According to the riches of his grace, which he lavished on us. The fact that we still have breath in our body. Swimming in grace. If it were not for His grace, we would all be consumed. The fact that you actually get to come to God and pray, come bold into the throne of grace to obtain mercy. Swimming in grace. The fact that we get to repent. Swimming in grace. You ever dealt with somebody that wouldn't give you another chance? Now I'm done with you. You may be that person, especially as cancel cultures, come people off. I'm done with you. What if God was like that? All of us would be in trouble, but that's not how He deals with us. We are swimming in grace. Super abounding in grace. Second part of that verse, it says, "In all wisdom and insight," which He lavished upon us in all wisdom and insight. In all, say all wisdom and insight. They're talking about God the Father there. Slow down. I'm not a planner. I can get better. I'm more a word of moment. I'm trying whatever's clever. Some of y'all are planners. Project manager. I want to be able to work the plan and plan to work. That's y'all doing something like this. Something go left, y'all, lose your mind. It's not the plan. I'm like, it's not that serious. What's the plan? You are a planner, right? You know, some good planners. Maybe you are a good planner. Is anybody a better planner than God? The one who has all knowledge. The Alpha and the Omega. He is at the beginning and the end. Operating outside of time. No, no, no, no, no. It's just outside of time. Just look at just every angle. What surprises him? Does your addiction surprise him? Did your divorce surprise him? Does your sin that beset you easily surprise you? Him? Does your anger problem surprise him? Nothing. Does the sin you keep hiding? You think you hide in from him? You're not. You think that surprised him? All of that we're talking about. Swimming in grace was made by God in all wisdom and insight. I want to slow down. They want to preach this for us. I want to be able to teach it. Why? Because you need to be able to slide up on this revelation in the midnight hour and say it to yourself. I know this don't look the way I want it to right now. I'm winning some.
I'm losing some. I'm in a tight spot. But God has planned this thing in all wisdom and insight. According to the grace which he lavished upon me. You got to put yourself in there. All this grace, wealth and grace was lavished upon me in all wisdom and insight. You know what that does? That should kill panic. I don't know what I'm going to do. Have you consulted your heavenly father? Some of us on stress medicine because we just won't consult. Or we consult and we don't like his answer. So we try to come up with our own arc. Oh my God in heaven. Try to come up with your own arc of safety and we're horrible at it. No need to panic. Christ is here. Danger? He is not surprised. Even when I made the wrong turn, he knew I would end up here. Like the prodigal son, I seem to come to myself. You got just the devil a lot. Actually, let me slow down. He won't lie to you. He'll tell you, you got yourself in this mess. True. Then he will come back and lie and say, you don't deserve any better. See, a lot of the enemy, he will mix it with truth and we will swallow it. You got yourself in it and you deserved it and he don't love you no more. He's gonna leave you. I can't believe he's still here. I did get myself in it and he told me to stop. He told me to break up with him. Told me to break up with him. Told me to cut it out. But he's still my loving father. So I will get myself up. Because I've been redeemed and go back to my father's house.
That's how you walk in the spirit by the way. They didn't seem very, very, um, you know, like fighting war or spiritual warfare. That's exactly what it can look like sometimes. Just to be in a tight spot and then feed yourself to scriptures instead of the lie from the evil one. Get yourself up, come to yourself. I'm tripping and just go back to my father's house. I don't belong here. I've been redeemed. All right. Ephesians 1 9 and I'm gonna take some time in here, beloved. But I think, I think it's gonna be good. All right. All right. Thank you, beloved. I appreciate you. Ephesians 1 9 ESV. Again, this is one long run on sentence. And it says in the ESV, "Making known to us the mystery of his will according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ." Let me read it in the Amplified. "He made known to us the mystery of his will, say mystery, according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ." So it says a little differently,
"purposed in good pleasure." Right? And a lot of you not. I've been, I've been saved, so I was like 17, more consistent since I was 19. And I had the assignment, of course, to preach this and I read it. And I was like, "God, I don't know what the mystery is." I just, I don't know. Right? And this is an operate because it says, "I'm a father, we can talk to him." I said, "Daddy, I was gonna strive." I said, "Daddy, I don't know what the mystery is." What's the mystery? And I want to say like 24 to 48 hours, I walk in me and able to share an office. And he said, "I know what the mystery is." I know, okay. Okay. I'm gonna call it. I'm gonna call it an answer prayer, right? Go to Ephesians 3-6. The mystery, Ephesians 3-6. There you go. It's the word, whether I read it or not, it's good. Amen. Let's join in with the sister.
It says, "The mystery is that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body and partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel." One more time, the mystery is that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body and partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel. Look at somebody and say, "The mystery is me." Say it again, say, "The mystery is me." I wasn't supposed to be in here. I didn't have a covenant with him. I'm not a part of the house of Israel, but he made a way by the gospel of Jesus Christ to love on me and it grants me that to Christ. Whosoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved, whosoever. [Applause] Say, "The mystery is me." Take that hold out, come to your soul, enemy coming to your soul, whatever. You're saying, "The mystery is me." I wasn't supposed to be here, but I'm here anyway. And it was his choice. He invited me. I was just crazy enough to believe that the true and living God was true to his word and would come through on what he said. "My mystery is me." That's good to me, sir.
Are we gonna nail this down even further? I have another account, right? Let's go to Matthew 15 chapter 21st through 28th verse. And it's the account of the faith of a Canaanite woman. Matthew 15, 21 through 28th, let's lean in beloved. Matthew 15, 21 through 28. I always love to hear it, turn your pages here. All right. If you don't have it, it's up on the screen, beloved. I'm gonna start with 21, but you can keep turning. We'll be there. First 21, it says, "And Jesus went away from there, "and withdrew to the district of Tear and sit in. "22, and behold, a Canaanite woman from that region came out "and was crying, slowed down, beloved. "Put yourself in love, come on, come on, come on." And then you come back to Matthew 15th verse 22, now beloved, put yourself in the text. A Canaanite woman came out and was crying. Anybody got children? If you got children, you got a niece or a nephew. She was crying, have mercy on me. Oh Lord, son of David. My daughter is severely oppressed by a demon. Now look at the responses from Christ here. Lean in. 23 says, but he did not answer her a word. Stop. Now either Christ is being rude or there's something else going on.
If you act the power to cast something out, somebody came out. Actually, you do have the power to cast something out. (audience cheering) He is called the Holy Spirit. Come back to that. And you saw somebody bringing a daughter. I said, "Hey, my man, can you?" You wouldn't ignore him. Let's keep reading. Same verse. And his disciples did worse. Didn't ignore. They said, they came in bed. Christ saying, send her away. For she is crying out after us. Look at another response from Christ. He answered, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel." It's not looking good for her, beloved. Leaning in 25, but she came and note before him saying, "Lord, help me." Christ has another response. He says any answer, it is not right to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs. Ignored at first, then say it's not right to even give you deliverance. And now she's called a dog. This sister is persistent. 27, she said, "Yes, Lord, yet even the dogs eat the crumbs
that fall from the master's table." (audience cheering) Now check this response from Christ. Then Jesus answered her, "Oh, woman, great is your faith. Let it be done for you as you desire." And her daughter was healed instantly. Sometimes you just gotta lean in. Okay, beautiful account. But I want you to catch the redemption. She was a dog. (audience chattering) And his compassion still gave it to her. Let me replace dog or king of night with Gentile. [Applause] You know what's the shame though? This Canaanite moment sometimes is more persistent in her faith than we are. Sometimes beloved, you have to lean in to things of the Spirit. It may not click the first time, right? Especially as you're learning to walk in things of the kingdom, things you cannot see. You ever just rolled up on a car and just like, just tried it and it didn't start and you just kind of been walked away and never tried it again? You ever did that? Why are we doing that with the kingdom? Well, I prayed about it one time. So pray again. I went to Squads one time. Go again. You know, I thought about outreach. Go again. Especially a lot of us, and I say it with love, a lot of us in here just came to the Lord or rededicated ourselves to the Lord in here in the last three or four years. We've taken polls on this thing in three or four years. What do you want to expert at with anything? You got to learn how to walk in the Spirit. Try again. Some of us have tried and concluded that God doesn't love us who couldn't work the first time, and that's a lie. But we were, Gentiles, we were dogs. And since you went from a dog, and now you are a daughter, we went from dogs and now we are disciples. And it all happened because we have been redeemed in Christ. It was by the work of the blood, the work of the cross. It was by the obedience of Christ and the plan of salvation of the Father to come and rescue you and pay your ransom
for your complete pardon of sin. And now you release from the power of sin as well. Let the redeem of the Lord say so. All right, so that was the mystery. Now we're going to do it with a good pleasure. Let's go to prophecy in Isaiah, Isaiah 53, 10 and 11. He made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ as Ephesians 1 and 9. And while you're turning, I love this book. It's actually why my youngest son has Isaiah's middle name. It talks about Christ and prophecies in there. I want to say it was like 700 years plus before Christ even came upon the same. And this is one of the more notable prophecies, Isaiah 53. We're just going to jump in at 10. It says in Isaiah 53, 10 and 11 ESV version, yet it was the will of the Lord to crush him. King James version says, yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him. He, meaning God the Father, has put him meaning Christ to grief when his soul, speaking of Christ, makes an offering for guilt. Who's guilt? Can't be his. He's the Messiah. He has no guilt. Who's the offering for? He shall see his offering. He shall prolong his days. The will of the Lord shall prosper in his hand. Verse 11, out of the anguish of his soul, he shall see and be satisfied. There was anguish on the cross. By his knowledge, shall the righteous one, speaking of Christ, my servant, speaking of the Messiah, make many to be accounted righteous. And he shall bear their iniquities. I'm going to give it to you in the Amplified. It says, yet the Lord was willing to crush him, causing him to suffer. He would give himself as a guilt offering, an atonement for sin. He shall see his spiritual offspring. He shall prolong his days. And the will, good pleasure of the Lord shall succeed and prosper in his hand. And as a result of the anguish of his soul, Speaking of Christ, please shall see it and be satisfied. the many. Who is the many? Say it louder. Making them righteous up right before God in right standing with him. Who has right standing with God? Why? You have been redeemed. I want to keep nailing this down because you hear it or we hear it and it sounds too
good to be true, doesn't it? We have right standing with God because we have our whole rap sheet thrown away. So where are the charges? No, no, no, where are the charges now? Under the blood. Allow me to make an edit. It's not that they were thrown away. He did the time. He did the time on the cross. He paid the penalty. He took the punishment. The chastisement that was needed for our peace, he did it and it's paid in full. That's why we have right standing and it's our belief in Christ Jesus, our biblical belief in Christ Jesus. Now the righteousness that was credited to his account is credited to ours. It's like my wife takes my debit card. She can use it. We're married. She has access to the account, doesn't she? We have access to the account of righteousness as the bride of Christ. I'm going to sow this into your souls. Yeah, we can jump right and preach it, but it's more important if you get a revelation from the Holy Ghost, ponder these things and then walk them out when you leave because when you have right standing and you have power over sin and you realize you're a complete part and you walk different. The things that call you, you don't answer to them anymore. Even if I wanted to, I don't belong to you, I am a slave to righteousness. I am now a bondservant of Christ by the grace of God and the power of the Holy Spirit that you should be learning to walk out and I'm closing for he shall bear the responsibility for their sins.
Christ says he laid on him. He got the Father, laid on him, Christ the Messiah, the iniquity of us all. We have been redeemed. You have been redeemed. You have been redeemed. If you believe in the Lord Jesus, I didn't say a prayer. He had a perfect track record. He had a perfect track record. That's why in him we are redeemed. Leaning into godliness because we don't belong to ourselves anymore. Verse 10, it says, "As a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in Christ, things in heaven and things on earth in him." Amplified says, "With regard to the fulfillment of the times, that is the end of history, the climax of the ages, to bring all things together in Christ, both things in the heavens and the things on the earth." You can't get around Christ. All things were made through him. Jesus says in Colossians and all things, the culmination of all things will end with him. [BLANK_AUDIO] the righteous judge. I'm not trying to scare you, this is lovingly giving you the truth. And those that are believers, we do get to meet the righteous judge, but it's going to be a party here, a feast at the wedding supper of the Lamb. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so. By your head, let me pray for us. Holy Father, I thank you for your redemption story, God. What you're doing in us and through us and by your grace and your glory and your goodness God and the wealth of grace, God, according to your plan and your purpose, this was all your idea. You did not leave us in our mess, God.
You're even cleaning us up even now and you love us still even when we miss the mark. God I thank you that the righteousness of Christ can be credited to our account because we believe in the one whom you have sent and that is Christ the Messiah. Help us walk in your ways and believe our identity in Christ, God, that we have been redeemed. Since Jesus' name we pray, amen. Amen. Amen. I love you, beloved. God bless you.
