I Believe; In The Holy Spirit | Who Is He?

- Well, good day, church. Can we do something? Can we as we join the other campuses and they join us? Can we just thank the Lord that we get to do this together and let's just praise the Lord. Welcome, everybody. Thank you for joining us. If you're online in prisons, penitentiaries, if you're in this room at Ligord Ranch, thank you for joining us. My name is David and I get to be part of the team here at Bayside and I pray I know that you've already been worshiping the Lord, encouraging each other and we read together the Apostles' Creed. If this is the first time you're visiting with us or you're watching for the first time, this is week five. So I need to encourage you to go on to our webpage and look at the sermons and listen to every week as we have built up reading the Apostles' Creed and then looking at scripture and where it came from because it is, it was written all those years ago but there are memorable, simple statements of truth and scriptures to teach the believers about what the God we believe to also bring unity to the church, oh, it's that God, not that God. No, no, we've fathers on the Holy Spirit God and also to protect us from false teaching. That's why it was written all those years ago and we've been studying it so I wanna encourage you today and we're gonna be studying on who is the Holy Spirit.

We talked about the Father, we talked about the Son, we talked about the church, we talked about heaven and eternity and now we're gonna talk about the third person, the person of the Holy Spirit. Today, my desire is to talk about who the Holy Spirit is and what he does. Next week we're gonna talk about how he works through us and then the third week is how he works in us. So you don't wanna mess. So let's pray as we open God's word together. Lord, thank you for today and thank you for the privilege to Lord, to have your word and I, Lord, I pray, the Holy Spirit right now, would you just use your word that you would prepare our soul, our mind, our will, our emotion to honor you? And Lord, I pray that it would not be just a Sunday thing that we gather, that we listen, that we walk away or transform us so that we become the people that you want us to be, for your glory, your honor and in Jesus name we pray, amen and amen. A few years ago, my father-in-law called us and said that he had a TV, that there were downsizing and he had nowhere to put this TV, do we want it? So we went over to look and I'm glad we did. It was this curved thing, HD 700 million thousand something. It had a popcorn machine that comes with it and makes your popcorn for you. And I was like, this is great, I took it home, we put it on the wall, but imagine if I had put that TV on the wall and not plugged it in,

not plugged it into the source of power. All that programming at my disposal, but without power. All that programming, for example, this week, finally, this week it started. After the spring and after the summer pre-season, we were all waiting for it to happen, you know what I'm talking about? Dancing with the stars, what are you talking about? (audience laughing) What are you talking about? Football, no, dancing with the stars. Of course you know what dancing with the stars. It started this week, okay. You might imagine all that programming. I'm not plugged into the source of power. Now I know that you know that I'm not the smartest guy in the room, but I know that we have to plug it in. And I know that for me to be able to enjoy the programming from up there, I need to have a receiver right here, because the receiver allows the programming to be seen in this beautiful instrument that I was given that's plugged into the source. The invisible programming, the picture is not visible, but because I have a receiver plugged into power, I know I see what I didn't see earlier. I can experience what I couldn't experience before. In the same way, a person won't be able to know here, experience it. the leading of God of the Bible

if they don't have the receiver of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the receiver that allows us to receive what God is saying, how God is saying it. So it affects how we do our life, how we run our business, how we have our marriage, what, how do we parent, what do we do with our finances, what do we do with our body? All of it is to the receiver of the Holy Spirit. So who is the Holy Spirit? This morning I'm gonna spend a little bit of time teaching you scripture, and then afterwards I'm gonna visualize it for you hopefully so we can see and learn together. So there's a couple of things I want us to see from scripture. First of all, the Holy Spirit is a person. The Bible gives it attributes of personality. The Holy Spirit is a person. There's attributes, there's an intellect in Romans. By the way, we're gonna give you the biblical passages, go home and study it. This is like, well, if you know me, this is the way I do things. Okay, read the Bible for yourself, okay? Romans 8, 27, it talks about the mind of the Spirit. There's an intellect to the Holy Spirit. The Ephesians 4, 30, it says, "Do not grieve the Holy Spirit." Actually, there's an emotion connected to the Holy Spirit. When the Bible is describing the person of the Holy Spirit, these are the terms that it uses. It talks about mind of Christ.

It talks about not grieving the Spirit. It talks about the will in 1 Corinthians 12, 12. He wills, he wills as he gives the gifts to the people. Also, the Holy Spirit is a person that, the when Jesus is actually talking about the Holy Spirit, he uses the personal pronoun. In John 15, let me read this one. When the advocate comes whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of Truth, who goes out of the Father, he will testify about me. Jesus terms the Holy Spirit, he, and therefore I will use the term he, as we're talking today, scripturally. We know that you have a personal relationship with the Holy Spirit. How do we know? Well, in John 14, Jesus again is speaking and he says, "For I will ask the Father and he will give you another advocate." We're gonna come to that word, advocate to help you. I'll buy with you forever the Spirit of Truth, the Bible says, the world cannot accept him because they never see him nor know him, but you know him for he lives with you and will be in you. So therefore, the Holy Spirit is the person who you can know and you can relate to. Holy Spirit. Secondly, the Holy Spirit is divine. Scripture reveals, there's attributes of divinity.

We're told that he's omniscient. In other words, he is, sorry, omniscient is all knowing. Isaiah 54, who can fathom the Spirit of God or instruct the Lord. So the word Lord and Spirit are together. He is omnipresent. If you read Psalm 139, it says, "Where will I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?" And it goes, "If I go to the heavens, you're there. If I go to hell, you're there. If I go to the seas, you're there." He's everywhere. The Holy Spirit is everywhere. In other words, divine. His omnipotent, all powerful. First Corinthians 2-2, it talks about the preaching. The preaching is through the manifestations of the Spirit power so that the power of God, those two things are connected. So God is Spirit, Spirit, the Holy Spirit is God. There's an interesting passage in Acts 5 where people were bringing their offerings to the disciples and Peter says something interesting in Acts 5, he says this. Then Peter said to Ananias, the guy who did the offering, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart and you have lied to the Holy Spirit? You have not lied to human beings, but to God. Lying to the Holy Spirit is mean lying to God.

Why? Because the Holy Spirit is God. So these divine images, passages remind us the Holy Spirit is divine. Actually, when Jesus is talking in Matthew 28, the last words that we have that Jesus recorded and he told his disciples, Matthew 28, therefore, go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name, singular name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. So we have one God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, three persons, it's one name, three persons. He is God because he's holy. Again, John 14, verse six, that pass, by the way, if you wanna study what Jesus teaches on the Holy Spirit, John 14, 15, 16, 17. of Jesus' teaching us who the Holy Spirit is. He is a person, he is divine, he is God. In John 14, the advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send, in my name. So Jesus is speaking about the Father and the Spirit. Here we see the triune God, the only true living biblical God that we worship. He is Spirit, that term rua, numah. It's in the Greek and the Hebrew. It means wind or breath or spirit. Job 33, the Spirit of God has made me. The breath of the Almighty gives me life. So this Holy Spirit is a person, yet he is divine. Thirdly, he is an enabler. That's a term that we use.

The word in the Bible that is used is the word paraclet. Everybody said together, paraclet. Okay, the paraclet. In English, it's hard, that word is hard to translate. Why? Because the word could mean helper, counselor. It could mean comforter. It could mean assistant, but it's all those words are not fully helping us comprehend. All those words together help us. In John 14, 16, I will ask the Father and he will give you another advocate. That's another term that this word paraclet could mean. Advocate, why? Because when Jesus said, go into the world and make disciples, Matthew 28, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, teach these new disciples to obey all my commands. I have given you and be sure of this. I am with you always, even to the end of the earth. In other words, Jesus says, go and not tell other people about me, which by the way, Jesus is not just saying this to the radical people who have no time in their hands. He's not just saying this to people who are retired or people who don't have a business. This is for all believers. The command is to go. And it's interesting that I'm speaking on the weekend

that we're launching our summer trips, or our trips for 2027. The command is to go, you ask the Lord why you shouldn't go as the question. If the Holy Spirit prompts you, stop by the tables, ask the guys, but I don't know how to pay for it. It's okay if the Holy Spirit asks you to go, he'll help you provide for it. And if you can't go on the Holy Spirit prompts you for somebody else to go, raise the Lord. But the Holy Spirit is a helper. I was talking about this to some of the campus pastors yesterday, and the Tucker from West Britain to Pastor Tucker. He said, Dave, every time I read that, I hear that word, I hear a pair of cleats. I'm like, okay, carry on. He says, when you're wearing a pair of cleats, you've got stability, and you have mobility. Is that not what the Spirit does to you? And I said, absolutely. I'm gonna steal that illustration, but I'll give you the glory. The power of cleat gives you stability and also gives you mobility. The power of cleat is the comforter. He's the guy, he's the one who helps. You are not alone. In your darkest hour, give your follower of Jesus, you're not alone. When you're going through anxious moments,

you're not alone. When you're trying to make a decision about your business, the Holy Spirit, you've got the helper, the advocate in you, in you, God in you. That God loves and cares enough. That Holy Spirit comes and lives in you. How do I know this? The fourth thing, the Holy Spirit dwells in and seals me. How do I know this? First Corinthians chapter six, verse 19 and 20 says this, do you not know that your bodies are the temples of the Holy Spirit? Who is in you, whom you receive from God? You're not your own. You were bought with the price. Therefore honor God with your bodies that in the Old Testament like the tabernacle, in the New Testament like the temple. Jesus comes along and says, now you are the temple. You carry the presence of God. You carry the Holy Spirit. So when you're driving out of church, (congregation laughing) you carry the presence of the Holy Spirit. When you go and eat and wherever you're gonna eat, you represent God on earth. The invisible God has been made visible through us in living color. He indwells us, he seals us. In Ephesians chapter one,

I'm gonna read it in two different translations. One is more paraphrased, one is more word for word. In the first one, First Corinthians, sorry, Ephesians 1, 13. And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit whom he had promised. In him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of salvation, having also believed you were sealed in him with the Holy Spirit of promise. And this is the most wonderful truth that when you believe who Jesus is, what Jesus did, that he literally paid, died, paid, resurrected, paid your sins, that your sins are forgiven, that they're canceled, that then God puts himself inside of you, he seals you, he's your advocate, he's your helper, he's your counselor, he's your comforter, he's your guide, he's your paraclete. The question is, I need more, the spurt, no, the spurt need more of me. I have to allow the Holy Spirit to work in me. Because he's a person, he's divine, he enables, he indwells me, he seals me, and you know what the purpose of the Holy Spirit is? Let me read it for you in John 16. Jesus is speaking again and he says this, but when he, the spirit of truth, the spirit, the Holy Spirit comes, he will guide you into all truth. You wanna know the truth about your business, ask the spirit. You wanna know the truth about how to parent, ask the spirit. You wanna know the truth about finances, ask the spirit.

You wanna know the truth about your sexuality, ask the spirit. He'll use the word of God to teach you. It says, when he comes he will teach you all truth, for he will not speak on his own, but whatever he hears, he will speak and he will disclose to you what is to come. He will glorify me. Jesus is speaking. The purpose role of the Holy Spirit is to glorify Jesus. It's to advertise Christ. Jesus glorifies the Father, and in the Trinity, they wanna make each other look good, as if they couldn't. There's this beautiful picture that the spirit is always about the Son. So if there's anything in your life that minimizes Jesus, that's not all of the Holy Spirit. If there's anything in your life that doesn't bring glory to Jesus, that's not all of the spirit. It could be another spirit, but that's not the Holy Spirit. So you want the power, the authority, the guidance of the Holy Spirit, make sure that in everything you do, you wanna honor Christ. Because when you honor Christ, then you're plugged into a source of power that allows you to see the programming that God is trying to send. So let me try to illustrate this. Let me try to visualize this, because if I'm a visual person, I need to learn these things. Now I've used this before, I've used this information before, but I want you to sort of stay with me and remember. My drawing is shocking, but that's okay.

Write an email to whoever you want. Okay, we are made, the Bible tells us, of spirit, soul, and body. The soul is made up of my mind, my will, my emotions. What I think, what I want, what I desire, the spirit, oh, let's make this a little bit more like normal. There you go. (audience laughing) Genesis wanted unto God created us with a spirit that can actually receive the programming of God, the kingdom of God, the direction of God. And the spirit affected the soul and the body, perfect world, perfect people, wonderful. But Genesis 3 comes along, and the problem happened that when sin infected, the sin is like a virus that literally the Bible says we are dead in our transgressions and sins. I know I don't have the receiver to receive what God is saying. And all of us, the Bible says, fall short of that. Don't have that ability, we're born into sin. So we can't. This is what the Bible calls the natural man. Actually, let me read about it. In 1 Corinthians chapter two, it says this, the natural person does not accept the things of the spirit of God, or they are foolish to them. He cannot understand them because they are spiritually discerned. The characteristics of a natural person is someone Actually, anything to do with Jesus and the Bible is foolish to them, the natural person.

What's this, guys? But the Bible tells us that there are spiritual people. Let me smile this one. We also have the Spirit as so, by the way, if they're spelling, I don't care. If they're spelling mistakes, don't worry about it. Okay. The Bible tells us, come with me to the first Corinthians 2, see in passage 1 Corinthians 2, but it talks about the spirit person. And he's talking about those who believe. So also, no one comprehends the thoughts of God as sect the Spirit of God. So the Spirit of God understands God. Now we have received not the Spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given to us by God, verse 16, for who has understood the mind of the Lord as to instruct them, but we have the mind of Christ. Follow me, follow me, follow me, follow me. When someone trusts Christ's work, when you believe that Jesus live, died, rose again, when you ask Jesus to forgive you, as we have read already, God forgives you and He gives you Holy Spirit. So Holy Spirit comes and dwells inside of you. Notice I made that bigger so you could see it. Okay, lion, let me make it smaller. So the Holy Spirit disinfects, gets rid of the virus of sin in your spirit. In other words, there's a purity in your spirit because of the work of the Holy Spirit, because of the work of Jesus. And now the Spirit can start to influence, can start to dictate how you think your mind, your will, and your emotions. Your emotions are going to scream at you, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me. No, you're going to say, "Well, what does the Spirit say?" And your mind is going to go, "Well, la, la, la, la," and you're going to say, "No, what does the Bible say?

What does God say?" And you see the Spirit is not affecting the soul, and when the Spirit affects the soul, it starts to affect the body. So the Spirit will tell the soul to tell the eyes there's things you shouldn't be watching. And there's things your feet shouldn't be going. And the Spirit tells your soul, "Wait a minute, should you be speaking like that about someone?" Because everybody tells you, "Fix the outside." No, you need to fix the inside, because what happens in the inside affects the outside. You cannot will yourself. You cannot will yourself into changing, but if you allow the Holy Spirit to change. Oh, this is what happens. This is the spiritual person. And the spiritual person can understand the programming, the input, the direction, the data, the kingdom of God values of how someone can live out in living color what God says. And the Holy Spirit uses the Word of God to teach us how to live according to the Word of God. He teaches us to be in biblical community, because I can make the Holy Spirit say whatever I want. Crazy, I should put another one, crazy Christians. But there's another person that we see. And this person is interesting, because Paul talks about this person, actually he talks about them quite a lot, because this person is actually in the church. He talks to them as brothers and sisters. I mean, obviously, my join is fantastic, but listen, this is the third person. This is actually what Paul calls the carnal person, the carnal Christian. It says this, chapter 3 of 1 Corinthians. He is speaking to the church. He's speaking to brothers and sisters who believe in Jesus, have accepted Jesus, have the Holy Spirit of God within them. Listen to this, dear brothers and sisters.

When I was with you, I couldn't talk to you as I would to spiritual people. I had to talk as though you belong to the world, or as though you were infants in Christ. I had to feed you with milk, not solid food, because you weren't ready for anything strong. Wait, what? You are jealous of one another, you crawl over one another, doesn't that prove that you're controlled by your sinful nature? Aren't you living like people of the world? Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, you're telling me, Paul, that this person that we're going to call carnal or fleshly, by the way, carnal comes from God in his Spanish Latin, and this person has the Holy Spirit. But somewhere along the line, there are not a line in the Holy Spirit, wow, they're not a line in the Holy Spirit to control their mind, their will and their emotions. There's a scrambling in the messaging. This happens, when you read it, that you're allowing the worldly influences, the world-secular worldviews, the airline, TikTok, Facebook, Insta, whatever you want to do, whatever. We're going to human wisdom instead of going to God's wisdom. And therefore, when the Holy Spirit is directing through his word in biblical community to talk about your business, your mind, your finances, your sexuality, you're, wait a minute, no, no, no, no. I want to know what the world thinks about that. I want to know what Mateo thinks about that, Mateo thinks about that, Ahuela thinks about that. I want to know what the YouTube guide says about that. And therefore, the scrambling has happened, and this person is called actually infant, immature. I don't even know if I'm spelling that right, mature. All of us are on the journey to come to Christ, and I pray from moving from selfish carnal to spirit. A spiritual person, ask the question, "God, what do you want?" A spiritual person asks the question, "Lord, what do you want me to study at college?"

A spiritual person says, "Should I be living this way? God, how do you get the glory out of this?" A carnal person says, "What did I get? What did I want?" You all know what a cat is and a dog, a cat, meow, okay, and a dog, woof woof, okay. Now, don't write me any emails, okay? I know your little cat is wonderful. Your little cat loves Jesus, okay? Your little cat is wonderful. But mostly cats are pretty selfish. It's all about them. But a dog, when he comes up to you, it's all about the master. You walk into a house with a cat, you don't even know if it's there. Like I may rub your leg and go, "Okay, I'm being general, general, don't write me an email, or if you write it, I don't care." I'm just using it as an illustration, okay? Are you more? Are we more cat-like or dog-like in our walk with God? And it all depends on if you're a lot of the Holy Spirit in your life to actually control your life. Does he call the shots in our life? Now, how do I know how to do this? In our pastor, at the beginning of the year, he gave us a word. The word was abide. You know what abide means? Abide means hang out, spend time in, let it infiltrate you, let it influence you, let it dictate you, let the Holy Spirit who has already taken away the virus, taken away the light, disinfected your soul, your spirit to affect your soul, to affect your mind, your world's in the most. You see, by the way, many of us, because we live so many years like this doing whatever

we want, it takes time for the spirit of God to start directing, "Oh, wait a minute, we shouldn't be doing that like this, we should be doing like that." God gave us his word so that we know how, what God we're talking about, what God's direction, plans, principles, but he also knows that I can make the Bible say whatever I want, therefore he gives me biblical community. So abiding on a Sunday, it's wonderful and we're all together and we all feel good and we all get filled and we're all ready and then we hit the parking lot and we move from spiritual to carnal overnight, what? Wednesday comes along and the doctor's report or Tuesday comes along and the boss does something And it's like, wait, wait, wait, wait. A biting means a daily feeling. who lives inside of you, who's giving you His Word, He's giving you a biblical community, He has given you everything He knows for you to survive, for you to be thriving, for you not to be guided by our emotions all the time or guided by our will all the time but being guided by the Spirit. When you abide, you hang out with, you spend time with, you're allowed it to influence you. And that's how we're gonna see the programing of God, the data, the information, the kingdom of God. Work through your Spirit, to your soul, to your body so that when people see you plugged into the source of power receiving the messages up there, down here, they will see a beautiful picture of who God is, through you and I. The Holy Spirit is a person divine. He seals you, He forgives you, He enables you,

He advocates, He's your paraclete to bring glory to the Father and the Son. So in your business, you're thinking, does this bring glory to the Father? In my marriage, if I speak this way, is this gonna bring glory to God? In my parenting, is this gonna bring glory to God? Lord, what do you say on the issue? I don't know, would you talk to a biblical community to help you, you're doing it God's way. And when we do it God's way, He applies it to your life. So you don't have to just have the Sunday gathering. You can have this on a Tuesday and a Thursday and a Monday and a night in the morning all the time. Why? Because we don't go looking for the Spirit. The Spirit already is inside of us. It's not how much does the Spirit, how much Spirit do you have? As how much Spirit does have of you? And as I'm teaching today, this is like general. I'm just being general. This is like the, this is like the national news. I'm just speaking generally, you know, national news, but you know what the Holy Spirit does? He makes it local. Why? Because your business is not like his business. And your marriage is not like her marriage.

And your parenting is not like her parenting. So the Holy Spirit applies it specifically to your life. If you allow the Holy Spirit who affects your spirit, to affect your soul, to then affect your body. So the world gets to see a bunch of normal-looking people who live for God. That is the power of the Holy Spirit in your life. Next week, you better come back because how does he work through us? And then the following week, how does he work in us? So let's pause, let's close our eyes for a second. Let's reflect. And I wanna, I wanna just ask the Holy Spirit, Holy Spirit, you always want to bring glory to the Father and the Son. So Holy Spirit today, is there anything in our life? Anything today's message that you wanna bring to light, bring to our attention to be specific with everybody who's listening. Lord, what do you want us to learn? I wanna talk to you who actually wants to walk with God. You wanna do it God's way. You're learning, you're walking, none of us are perfect, but you're taking three steps forward, two steps back, but you're still, Lord, you wanna honor God, you wanna do it God's way. I wanna encourage you, keep growing, keep maturing, keep hungering, keep serving. Stay alert, stay alert to what scrambles your system. You're thinking God's word in your life. Let me encourage you.

But as I was teaching today, maybe some of you see yourself as that, maybe, maybe I'm more on the carnal, immature, I love Jesus, I've accepted Jesus, but I'm allowing other voices, other influencers in my life to dictate how I should live. And today, just ask the Holy Spirit, Lord, is there anything I'm viewing, anything I'm doing, anything I'm investing in, that is not from you, that is not from you, God, would you bring it to mind? And would you give me the strength to change it? Buy the power of the Spirit. Lord, I pray for my brothers and sisters who wanna grow, who wanna move from milk to meat, who spiritually, Lord, I pray you'll give them habits, I pray they'll give them a community that they will be able to, a group, Lord, that they will be able to be part of. Lord, I pray for maybe some of us, we need to step out and go on a mission team because that's where we see you as we serve. you change our life, you change our marriage, you change our finances, you change it all. So Lord, I pray you will challenge us. But you may be hearing my voice and you've never given your life to Jesus. You're hearing my voice and you're actually that first example, that natural person. You've never actually allowed the Holy Spirit in your life. You've never asked Jesus to forgive you and therefore you cannot respond

to the things that are spiritual. So therefore today, God himself is offering you forgiveness. The Bible says if you believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord and you believe that God raised him from the dead, the Bible says in Romans that you will be saved, in other words, there's a transformation happens on the inside. You get the receiver. What is from your heart to God is from your words to God is your speech to God. So as I need you, if you're in a campus, in a prison, if you're in a beach or a bed, it doesn't really matter. If you've never trusted Jesus, what is stopping you from saying, "No Lord, forgive me, I believe who you are. "I believe what you did." Just use your words, I'll just guide you gently, but use your words to God, it's your heart to God, it's your words to God. Jesus, I believe that you lived, you died and you rose again. Please forgive me. (gentle music) From this day forward, Lord, remove the virus of sin in my life and help me to live your way. If you prayed like that truthfully, genuinely, the Bible tells us that he gives you the down payment of the Holy Spirit, that God comes and live with you.

So this week, you may start thinking differently, you may start talking differently, you don't have to put it on, he'll guide you. We wanna encourage you to get into a biblical community, we wanna know who you are, we wanna help you in your spiritual, in your walk with the God. It's not just about a decision on a seat somewhere, we wanna help you grow, if you don't have a Bible, give you a Bible, so please either let any of the prayer team know, go to the connect center, don't just walk around our rooms or wherever you're listening to this. But I wanna ask you to do something, if you trusted Christ for the first time today, no matter where you are, just be bold, let us know. Would you raise your hand and just say, Dave, that was me today, just put your hand right up, if today you said, I went from natural man to spiritual person, it's that you put your hand up, if you prayed to receive Christ for the first time, you saw the forgiveness, and Lord forgive you, and Lord bless you, at all the campuses online, Lord thank you, Lord, we thank you. We thank you for today, we thank you for the privilege and the honor it is to know you, we thank you, Lord, that we get to not only have our sins forgiven and life,

but Lord, that you now live in us so we can now reflect to others who you are. So Lord, thank you that you apply it to our life individually, so in our businesses, in our marriages, in our parenting, in our finances, Lord, in our walk with you, in our times of leisure, when we're alone or with people, Lord, may the invisible qualities of God be visible in your people. (peaceful piano music) I may people see you. I may people see you in us. And Lord, may we have an opportunity this week to share the love of Christ to someone. And I pray that you'll give us an opportunity this week to show the life of Christ to someone. But Lord, receive all the glory, all the honor. Thank you, Holy Spirit, for guiding us. And this week, will you continue to just guide us gently, gently be our advocate, our comforter and our guide, be our counsel and our helper. I may Jesus be glorified.
