Our Founding Pastor, Willie George, continues week nine of our teaching series, Summer in the Psalms.

Psalm 119:165 reminds us that great peace does not come automatically—it comes as we learn to love, trust, and apply God’s Word. In a world full of confusing thoughts, shifting feelings, and real temptation, Scripture gives us something stronger than our emotions and more reliable than our understanding.

In this message, Pastor George explores the following Scriptures:

PSALM 119:165 KJV 165 Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.

ISAIAH 26:3 NKJV 3 You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.

PHILIPPIANS 4:7 NKJV 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

JAMES 1:2 NKJV 2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials,

MATTHEW 4:1 NKJV 1 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.

MATTHEW 4:2-3 NKJV 2 And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry. 3 Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.”

MATTHEW 3:16-17 NKJV 16 When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. 17 And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

MATTHEW 4:4 NKJV 4 But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ”

GENESIS 1:29 NKJV 29 And God said, “See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth... to you it shall be for food."

2 CORINTHIANS 10:3-4 KJV 3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal [natural], but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

2 CORINTHIANS 10:5 KJV 5 Casting down imaginations...

GENESIS 3:4-5 KJV 4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
