Jesus is coming back. If we really believe that, it should affect more than the part of our life that shows up at church.

James 5:7–9 says, “The Judge is standing at the door.” That may sound heavy, but Pastor Stu Hodges shows how it can be both a wake-up call and a comfort. If something in your life needs to change, quit putting it off. If you are worn out, remember that Jesus has not forgotten you and the hard part will not last forever.

This is not about guessing dates or panicking every time the news gets weird. Jesus said no one knows when He will return (Matthew 24:36–44). The point is to live ready.

This week, read James 5, get honest about one thing that needs to change, and check on someone drifting from faith. You do not need to know when Jesus will return. You need to know Him and be ready when He does (1 Thessalonians 4:16–17; 5:1–3).
