Brothers and sisters in Christ, it is only in this life that we can make a

decision where we will spend eternity. We are eternal spiritual beings. We

will all live eternally in only one of two places. With all my heart, I pray

you will choose Heaven.

The Bible seems very clear that each of us is required to have an intimate,

personal relationship with God the Father, because of the finished work of

Jesus, by and through His Holy Spirit. The more we comprehend and receive

the unconditional, sacrificial love of God we will be motivated to obey Him,

and we will desire to do our best to please Him. Although we will never be

perfectly obedient during this lifetime, we have the Holy Spirit Who

empowers us to do our best every day, and Who will gently convict us to

repent when we miss it. Then when we get to Heaven, we will hear, “Well

done, good and faithful servant. Enter in to the joy of the Lord."

PRACTICAL APPLICATION

Ask the Holy Spirit to help you think of the aspects of Heaven you are

looking forward to the most. Who are you excited to see again that may

have gotten there before you? How do you think you will feel when

you see Jesus? What will you want Him to say to you?

Are you absolutely sure where you will spend eternity? If there is any

doubt in your mind, review pages 333-336, and then be led by the Holy

Spirit how to respond.
