Thank you so much for who you are, what you've already done at the cross and what still holds its power today, your blood, in Jesus name and everybody said hey man, you guys can be seated, man I don't know about y'all but I am excited to be in the house of the Lord today, man it is a good day, come on, are you guys excited or what, it's a good day to be here and man I'm even more excited about the fact that we are continuing our connect process today, we have connect 2 at the pavilion today, make sure that if you've signed up for that you get there, you get your food and you get connected to the body of Christ, speaking of getting connected to the body of Christ, we had over 70 new members be celebrated this past Wednesday, yeah I don't know if you guys are aware of this but God is on the move, hey man, man I am so excited for what is going on in our church and I'm excited for what God has for you as an individual today, as you get connected to our church, so the first step of that is in the back of your seat there is a connect card, we want to know your name, we want to know who you are, we don't want you to just come in and go out, we want to make sure that we are intentionally connecting with you, we care about it because when you get connected to the body of Christ everything can change and so if you would fill that connection card you connected. Also, if you decide to make Jesus the Lord and Savior of your life, the best decision you will ever make. I want to tell you today, we have a free Bible for you. So as you go out
today, there's a table on the left that will have free Bibles. Make sure that you pick one of those up and I'm sure that you will be blessed by that Bible. I am every day. Amen. So also, today, I just want to tell you that you have walked in. If you're a first-time visitor, you have walked in to one of the best churches ever. In my opinion, it is the best church in the United States of America. And man, I'm just so excited that you have decided to join us today. So we want to give you a hand clap all of our first-time visitors. Thank you for being here. And then lastly, this is our time of worship to the Lord through our giving. And the Lord prompted me today. I didn't know what pastor was preaching about, but it's right in line with some of the things he says today. And so that's the Lord. And so the Lord was speaking to me to do something a little bit different today. I want to speak to the people that in your ties in your offerings, you have stopped giving. Maybe at one point, you were giving. But things got a little rocky. Things got a little unsettling. And you decided to stop. I want to share a Bible verse with you guys that the Lord laid on my heart last night and has nothing to do with giving, actually. But I do think it's the message that the Lord wants to get across today. John 13 verse 7 says, Jesus replied, you do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand. You guys realize today that I don't know if you've experienced this definitely been my life where I've been walking with the Lord, and I didn't understand what he was doing. And I wanted to jump too soon. I wanted to get off the boat too soon. I wanted to look down at the waves. Come on, Peter, right? Some of y'all are peters in this room. You stepped out of the boat. You took the plunge, but then when things got rocky, when the waves got a little loud, when they got a little high, right? You look down at them instead of keeping your eyes on Jesus. And what I want to encourage you with today, if you stopped worshiping the Lord through your giving, today's the day to start again. And the Lord isn't interested in your big sums of money. He's interested in your heart position. And so I think this is very important today in order, and you don't realize this, but I'm telling you, it's a thing. In order for God to truly move in your life and truly be able to speak to you like he wants to, you have to give him the most precious parts of you. You got to give it to him. And some of us, that's our bank accounts. That's our money. And so I just encourage you today that if you've stopped giving for any reason, if you've maybe gotten distance in the Lord, maybe it's been a job change. Maybe it's been a lack of trust in the Lord, lack of faith. Listen, there ain't no judgment here, but what I do want to say to you today is as you get back in alignment with God, something shifts in the spiritual. Listen to me, I'm not up here
asking you to do anything I'm not doing myself or haven't done. God is continuously working on me, continuously working in the areas of my finances and other places, right? But what I do know is that the Lord, when he calls you to do something, he never returns void. All right, so we're gonna pray, we got to stand with this right now. This is a term of worship to the Lord, man. Worship through our giving. And I just want to encourage you. There's several ways to give. You can give on the way out. You can give through an app. You can give through our tap tags on the back of the seats. There's all kinds of ways. But here's what I want to ask you to do. Be obedient to God today. Let's pray. Heavenly Father, we thank you so much for the ability to give. We thank you that all of our finances are yours anyway. And so God, we just give back to you today what's already yours. But Lord, also, would you see our heart as we give? Lord, this sacrifice that we're about to make. God, would you honor it? Would you trifle it? Would you quadruple what we put in? Would you go beyond our expectations, Lord Jesus? Thank you for everything you've already done in our life. And thank you for what you're about to do. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen. Good morning, Revolution Church. I'm Holly, and this is Whitney. We're so thankful to have you with us this morning. Man, I tell you what, there's no better place I'd rather be than the house of the Lord worshiping with the body of Christ. Amen? Man, come on. Let's give the Lord the loudest shout of praise that we've given him. Come on. Come on. Lift it up. Let's give him the loudest shout again. Lord, what do we love? He's worthy of it all. You know, the Bible says that if you don't do that, that the rocks will cry out. And I don't want any rocks crying out for me, but it's good to see all of you in the house of the Lord today. Great to see all of our guests. I know we've had a lot of first-time visitors. The last service, I just met a couple, another couple, believe it or not, from California. Can you imagine that? You know, Steve Marybell, I told him, I said, oh, yeah, I see you got your sister and brother in law in town today. Come on, let's give it up for those guys. They come in and visit from California. Sorry, I didn't see you there, but we have another group from Ohio. Let's give it up from those who are visiting from Ohio, and I'm not sure. Any other stakes today that you're visiting from, hold your hand up. Let me see. Anybody else? Did I get everybody covered back here in the back where you from? Florida, imagine that. Good, good, good time to come to Tennessee. Amen. Well, we're excited about the sermon series we're in. We're actually in week four of this series called You Were Called. We're going through a John Bevere book. It's awesome. I hope you guys are enjoying your life groups and your discussions. I know Connie and I were having a blast with it. Thursday night, we had some great discussions based on Pastor David Sermon, and it was awesome, and we loved it. But man, didn't Pastor David do a great job last week. Let's give it up for him, and he's amazing. We love you so much, and how much wisdom and ability to put those sermons together. It's incredible. I love that. But he really talked a lot about the difference between
maintenance and multiplication and how that maintaining status quo is not what we're called to do. Amen. There were called to plant seeds that will multiply. And so today I'm going to be in chapter seven and eight of the book. If you want to know what's going on next week, read the next two chapters in the book you're called. That would be chapters nine and ten, and you can keep up with us. But anyway, today's chapter seven and eight, the title of the message today is great multiplication. Great multiplication. And this really is sort of a continuation of last week's message, because I think it's important that the Lord has something here that he's wanting us to learn as a church when it comes to multiplying. But if you would look at Psalms 107 verse 38, And this is our theme verse for today, Psalm 107, verse 13. "By His blessing they multiply greatly." Now, we know this is from the Old Testament. Old Testament is Hebrew, original word was written in Hebrew. New Testament is primarily Greek. But this word from multiply, it's interesting. And I think it's interesting to know, number one, it's pronounced rava. Can you say rava? No, say it loud like you mean it, rava, rava, rava. It's got a good tone to it. I like the word rava, but it's spelled R-A-B-A-H, not pronounced that way, but the meaning is to multiply also to become great, to increase. And so when you look at this Hebrew word rava in the Bible, it represents a divine law of increase. So remember that and think about that. It's when God takes something small, He breathes His favor on it and then it grows beyond human capacity, beyond what you can do. And so this is the divine law of increase. Now, rava is a blessing from the Lord.
Okay, everybody remember that? It's a blessing from the Lord, but it's where there is obedience. Say obedience. Okay, I want to teach something real quick right here. Rava, a blessing of the Lord where there's obedience, but actually, rava can be a curse where there is disobedience. I want you to hear that. Well, let me explain quickly. Genesis chapter one verse 28. The Bible says, "Then God blessed them," there's your blessing, "then God blessed them and said to them, 'Be fruitful and multiply.'" So here's that word, rava again in the Hebrew, "Be fruitful and multiply." It's a blessing. Now, let's fast forward to Genesis chapter three, verse 16. Now, this is after Adam and Eve had been disobedient to what God had told them to do in the garden. Look at how it's multiplied in a different way. To the woman, he said, "I will greatly," there's that word again, rava, "I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception. In pain, you shall bring for children, your desire, shall be for your husband, and he shall rule over you." So here again, we see rava not multiplying blessings, but sorrow, and it's because of disobedience. Now, I'm sure today that we don't have anyone
that has any disobedience in your life, right? We're all good, we're all living obedient to what the Lord's called us to. But when we see this blessing, you can't help but see it on the life of Abraham. And so I want to reference Abraham this morning because we see that he was obedient. God spoke to Abraham and told him to leave his country and go to a place he really didn't even know where he was going. He was just trusting God, leaving by faith. And he's 75 years old when God spoke to him and he said this, look at Genesis 15-1. Here's what he said. "Sometime later, the Lord spoke to Abraham in a vision and said to him. "Do not be afraid, Abraham, for I will protect you "and your reward will be great." Quick question. How would you feel if God came to you personally? And he said these words. He said, "Steven, I'm gonna protect you "and I'm gonna reward you greatly." How would that feel? It would feel amazing, wouldn't it? It would feel awesome. So this is what Abraham, this is the information that he gets from God. Now, let's see how he responds. Next verse.
"But Abraham replied, "O sovereign Lord, "what good are all your blessings "when I don't even have a son?" All these blessings, 75 years old, what good are all of them? If I don't even have a son, I want you to think about that for a second. Because Abraham here, he's not happy, he's dissatisfied. Today I have four points, say four points. Okay, usually it's three, so you get a bonus point today. All right, point number one. Point number one is this, dissatisfaction can become the catalyst to multiply. Okay, look at it closely. Think about it in your life. This satisfaction can become the catalyst to multiply. See, I believe that God allows us to become dissatisfied to place us in a position Okay, so when you're dissatisfied it could be from the Lord. The Lord's allowing this satisfaction to reposition you, to get you in a place where you can receive this blessing. Let's look at John and Lisa Bevere. 2011, the Lord spoke to John Bevere and his wife, Lisa, and said this, he said, I want you to give your books, want you to give your discipleship material to pastors and to nations that can't afford it around the world. And so he got with his team. Matter of fact, his team is in Nashville now,
they moved from Colorado, they're there, but a large team, he got with them and he told them, here's the plan, we're gonna give our material away. And they started doing that. So he met with his team the next year and he asked them, he had a question and he said, I wanna ask you how many books did we give away this year? And so the team had to do a little research and then they were excited to let him know the number. They said, we gave 33,000 books away. 33,000 books away, that's a lot, is it not? Here was John Bevere's response, that's pathetic. And John Bevere's preached here, I know him, he's straight to the point, he don't beat around the bush, he'll let you know, he just said to his team, that's pathetic. Next year, we're gonna give a quarter of a million books away to pastors and nations that can't afford it. Silence, everybody's quiet in the room. The team, the staff, they're like, what is he thinking? But nobody had the courage to say anything because it's John Bevere, you guys win me. But has he lost his mind, is he crazy? But then his oldest son, Addison spoke up, and you guys know Addison, he spoke here on prayer a few years ago, but Addison spoke up and questioned his father in this meeting. It's like, are you sure to add a quarter of a million books and his dad was adamant, yes. The Lord showed me, this is what we're gonna do.
And there was a little more discussion, there was tension in the room, you've been in a room where there's tension? Some of you were in that room this morning before you came to church, right? It happens, it happens. So they left the room with still a little tension. Later, Addison called his dad and he's letting him know that he did not mean to be disrespectful. He's just still questioning this goal or this thought of 250,000 books. So they let it go, everything's good. And then three weeks later, John Bevere is in Florida. And he's down there, I think a conference speaking, but early morning is when he does his riding. And the team, they know not to call John early morning because that's when he hears from the Lord the best, that's when he's doing his best riding. And so he's early morning, he's riding in his hotel room and he gets a call and it's from Messenger X, it's from his work. And it's like, okay, this must be very important. So he took the call. When he took the call, he's on conference with the other staff members. And they're all excited, he can hear it in the background. And it's like, what's going on? And it's like, dad, you won't believe it, but a businessman gave $300,000 to this project to fund all these books and other nations
and other countries. And it's like, they're so excited and he's excited because what happened was by faith, when John Bevere was obedient to Plan A, God released the blessing of multiplication and they moved from 33,000 to 250,000. And then beyond that, because how many of you realize that God will exceed your expectations? Can anybody agree with me on that? Yes, God will exceed your expectations, he does. So quick question on point number one. Today, I'm talking to individuals. This is not to everyone, this is to you as an individual and I want you to listen. What are you dissatisfied with today? Okay, I think probably every person in this room can think of something. The second thought that I'd like to touch on It could very well be. It could be that dissatisfaction is from the Lord. Point number two, trust God's timing even when you don't understand it. Trust God's timing even when it doesn't make sense. It doesn't make sense at all. As a matter of fact, Abraham now is 99 years old and nothing's changed. He's still in the same condition, no children, 99 years old and the Lord speaks again. Genesis 17-2, here's what he said, "And I will make my covenant between me and you, and we'll check this out, look closely, and we'll multiply you exceedingly. I'm going to make a covenant, it's going to be between you and me, and as a result, you're going to see the rava blessing come on your life, and it's not even going to be in a normal way, it's going to be in an exceeding way."
This is what God's saying, and after this we know comes the promised son Isaac. The rava blessing is released, nations are birthed, sons and daughters are like the sand of the sea, his finances are multiplied, his cattle are multiplied, everything, listen to me, everything that Abraham touched was blessed by the Lord and it multiplied. It was an addition. It moved over into this place of multiplication, everything, say everything. Even things that maybe he got ahead of gone on. You guys remember that they decided we're just going to take this thing into our own hands? Sarah has a conversation with Abraham, says Abraham, "I know I can't have children." What about taking Hagar, having a child with her? He said, "Okay, fine." He does. Ishmael's born, what did the Lord say to Hagar and Ishmael when they had went outside town? You guys remember? God spoke to Ishmael and said, "I'm going to multiply your seed." This wasn't even the promised child, but here's what I'm saying, is that when you are in covenant with the Lord, he will even bless the things that he didn't orchestrate. Let me give you a quick example. I was calling in the 20s to pastor a church in my 20s. I knew it and I ran and I said, "No." God allowed me to continue running. 20 years later, I've got a career. I'm planning on retiring. Everything seems to be going well. Then I leave that career to start a business or to work in our business that's running. A year, year, and a half into that, God said, "This is not Plan A." Plan A has always, say always, always been to pastor and a shepherd the body of Christ. This has always been the plan for your life. You just ran from it. So when I said yes, today I want to tell you something.
When I'm talking about platform gifts and things like that, I want you to understand something. I never went to seminary. You guys with me. But also, I want you to hear, I was in seminary, but it was a different kind of seminary. Everybody with me now. You see, I thought I was running from God and he was actually, he had met the city of Maryville using taxpayer dollars to train and teach me and to prepare me to do what I do today. You might say, "Well, that's crazy. That's insane." No, I see it all the time. This is what the Lord does. You use your bad mistakes and turn it around somehow. It don't make sense. But here's what happens. The key is, at some point in your life, you need to become obedient to Plan A. If I continue living this Plan B, then it's not going to be blessed. So everything that Abraham touched multiplied. Now this leads to Point Number Three. Point Number Three is this. You guys are going to love this. Eliminate Plan B. Okay. I'm getting some chuckles. Full disclosure. I have conic and vouch for it. It's like if this don't work, that will. If this doesn't happen, that will. And that's been my character. That's been my makeup. But I want you to understand something.
I don't know if you realize this. How many of you know that God doesn't have a Plan B? Did you hear me? God never had a Plan B. He never will have a Plan B. We at Plan B's and usually because we don't trust God with His Plan A. Are you with me now? Man, I hope that just resonates and sinks in right there. I want you to understand something. When God sets a Plan in motion, it's guaranteed to succeed. Did you hear me? There's no question. When we're in alignment with God's Plan A, it will succeed every time. Let me hear a big amen if you believe that. It will every time. So I do want to say this, though, that God's Plan A will be tested in your life. Whatever that looks like. You'll go through tests and I want you to understand something. We see that all through the Bible. You see that with Paul. You guys remember when Paul was going to Rome to be tried. He's on the ship. He's in this horrific storm. You remember reading it there in the book of Acts. He's in this horrific storm and he's basically telling the sailors. He told them, don't leave the port. It's not a good idea. They did anyway. They made a bad choice.
They're in a storm. It's bad. It's ugly. It's vicious. And there-- I was talking to somebody earlier that was on a cruise. It just came back from a cruise. They're what a cruise boat. OK, these boats, these ships are wooden. They're not made for tropical storms or hurricanes. So they're in the middle of it. And it looks like they're going to go under. God speaks to Paul and gives him Plan A. Here's what he said, Plan A is. He said, Plan A is this. Stay with the ship. That's another sermon for another day. Stay with the ship. You and all the sailors that stay with the ship will not die. That's good information. So Paul gets this. He shares Plan A, God's Plan A with all the sailors. And he tells them, this is what we're to do. But what happens is, again, God's timing's not always our timing. Now, 14 days go by and the storm's getting worse. It's not getting better. It's getting worse. And it comes to the point. But God also said, here is part of Plan A. The ship's going to wreck. He said it's going to hit ground at an island.
It's going to wreck. But stay with the ship, and you'll live. So 14 days go by, and they're in the storm. And they realize that the water is shallow, and they're getting ready to crash. And some of the sailors that were educated in what they did, and understood what could happen if this ship hits the stone, the rock, the reefs, or whatever, they start lowering the lifeboat. Are you with me? They're lowering the lifeboat. And Paul happens to see them doing that. And he stops them, and he said, listen to me. He said, you have to stay with the ship if you want to live. This is God's Plan A. Now, the sailors, they look at Paul. He's just a prisoner. Who is he? They look at him, and they listen to him. Nobody else has a plan. At least he has a plan. They listen to him, and they did this. They began to cut the ropes on their lifeboat. Wise decision. They cut the ropes on their lifeboat, and the ship actually ran aground. They all survived 276 people survived because they followed God's Plan A. Are you with me? So I want you to think about what's God's Plan? God's Plan A for your life.
I will say this, that following his plan requires faith and trust. Are you with me? Look at James, chapter one, verses six and eight. But let him ask in faith without doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord for he is double-minded man unstable in all his ways. I want to share something that wasn't in my notes, but I feel like that some people need to hear. coming back being the broadcast campus pastor here. It's usually here I that does the introduction and leads us in giving. Okay? We didn't do that for a long time. But Pastor Chris talks a lot about tithing and giving. Can I tell you something that he wouldn't tell you? Can I explain to you why he's so adamant about this principle? That it's because he and timber and their kids have lived it out. They know what it's like to not have enough. Are you with me now? Come on. Some of you may not know. You may say, Oh, he's just wanting our money. They're just wanting to know. I want to tell you something. He's trying to teach you a principle that releases the rava blessing into your life. You see, and so when Pastor Chris left revolution church as the worship leader, what many of you don't know is he went to a job paying him less money with his wife, not having a job, not knowing where he was going, but he's being obedient because the Lord said, go. Just like with Abraham, the Lord said go. But here's what God did. It's God had him there and he had him there for training, preparing him to come back. Are you with me today? When God brought him back, God blessed him when he brought him back his, our campus pastor here at broadcast. Amen? How many of you would agree that Pastor Chris and Denver are huge blessing? Amen. And so he understands about being consistent in the giving because God will release the rava blessing, which is multiplication. How many of you want the rava blessing in your life? Be honest with you. How many of you want? If you don't want it, then don't take it. Give it to me.
I want God to, to multiply that blessing in an incredible way. And I want you to understand, I want you to hear something real quick. 19 years we've been a church and God's rava blessing has been on this church since day one. He has multiplied over and over again. And I don't want you to, in any way, to think I'm bragging or boasting or being arrogant, but it's undeniable. See I remember when we were at the high school, everything we had was borrowed equipment. We didn't have money to buy land or buy a building. We didn't have none of that. But you know what God told us to do as a church and the elders? He said, "I want you to build churches for ten other congregations." That does not make sense, but that was God's plan A. I felt like the Lord said, "You don't have any seed in the ground. Put seed in the ground and see what God will do." Come on, somebody, are you with me? So the church started doing that. And then do you think it's a coincidence that God placed us on some of the best property in Blunt County? No, that's not an accident. That's called the rava blessing. And it's undeniable. And we know it's God. It's not a pastor. It's not the worship team. It's not all the fancy lights. Because listen, I remember when we had nothing except sound systems that cracked and popped and kids back in the school building busting the fire alarm right during the middle of service and it's 20 degrees outside. I remember having the salamander heater out in front of the altar trying to keep the church warm and knowing that the school would run us off if they knew we were doing that. I like to take risks, though. Anybody here take risk? I'm going to tell you one of the funniest things I've ever seen was Palm Sunday here to Chi School. And I had this wild idea that we're going to bring a mule and put it on stage. Now, I will tell you, and some of you, I hope you don't get offended with me or leave the church because of this. But there's a sign out there on the front gate here that has an animal on it with a cross through it. It's like this might not be a good idea, but Lord, I feel like this is what you want me to do. So we did it. And I'm going to tell you it was awesome. across the stage, Palm Sunday. He argued with me so many times that I'm not the one. Pastor Pastor, I'm not the one. He said, "I'm black," and Jesus went in black, and I said, "We went wide. Just jump on and ride it." It was awesome wanted. But the Lord has been with us, and the Lord is with us now. Share it just a quick story. Again, no bragging, because it's only about the grace of God. But there was a few years ago that we started talking about streaming
our services into the Blunt County Jail, and we wanted to. And you guys remember it was right during COVID when God opened that door. And we've seen so much fruit from that sense. So many people give their life to the Lord through that jail ministry, but it started with one. And then I think honestly, it wasn't cheap, guys. It was a thousand dollars a month to get into the Blunt County Jail and stream that. That's expensive. But we felt the Lord said, "Do it." And what happened as a result of that obedience, God said, "Now I'm going to release the rival blessing on it." And it's not going to stay at one. It's going to turn to two, and then to three, and then to four, and then all the surrounding counties around Blunt County, their jails are going to be able to stream this service, and they are right now alive. Can we praise the Lord for all those? Thank you. Thank you for watching today. But we're adding, we're adding, and we're excited because we've added another one. And then what happened next was the rob of blessing hit. And when the rob of blessing hit, it went from a few to many, and today we're in 945 prisons and correctional facilities that are watching. That's a, that's a, that's a rob of, rob of blessing. John Bevere told me, said, "Payser, I don't know anyone." And he knows people all over the world. He said, "I do not know one church that's doing that at that level, at that magnitude. It's, it's God. Here's the thing. What's God want to do next? He's not done yet. I, I, I got it. You got to hear that. I said, "He's not done yet." That blessing is still here. Look at your neighbor and say, "He's not done yet." See, God wants to multiply blessings in your life. I'm talking to individuals now. God wants to multiply blessings, the rob of blessing in your individual life. Do you believe that? Do you really believe that? It's the multiplication blessing. So, if you believe it, I want you to start praying for God's plan A. Will you do that? Start praying. God, show me plan A for my life. And I want you to start praying God's size, praying for God's size ideas. If it's something that's reasonable or attainable, it's probably not God. Are you with me? If you can do it in yourself, it may not be God's plan A. Because God wants to do something that only He can get the credit, that no man, no church, no building, no family, no community can get the credit. It's got to be God. And that's what He likes to do. And that's what He's doing. Can I hear an amen? Come on, shout a louder amen nap if you believe it. Amen. So, bonus point. You ready? Point number four. God often uses the ordinary in an unordinary way to get extraordinary results. Leave that
up there for a second. Amen. This is not my words. John Bevere deserves the credit because I pulled that out of his book. But is that not awesome? God uses the ordinary in an unner ordinary way to get extraordinary results. I want you to listen closely to what I'm getting ready to say. I feel like this is Holy Spirit led for sure. Stop looking at what someone else has and focus on what God has given you. Did you Do you hear that? You need to let that happen. And look at what God has given you Hey, if I just had his athleticism If I just had her looks If I had their brains if I had her money I'm gonna say this Confidently are you ready for it? You have everything you need and it's right in front of you I believe that I'm gonna say it again because I believe it that much you have everything you need And it's right in front of me Don't look for something else. Amen. I see the Word of God. That's everything you need. I See the Word of God. I see the Bible. I see I See families For some people It was just simply the the jawbone of a donkey For another it was a sling and five stones Another it was a scarlet cord empty jars Just on and on just simple thing things right in front of you What is it that God's placed in front of you that seems ordinary? But it's not Okay, everybody with me what's in front of you? I'm gonna wrap up with this If you would let's say How many of you have heard of the Sean Bishop
Let me see your hand if you've heard of it. If you have you have I hear you clapping I Hope I do better today than I did a few weeks ago When I referenced a football player and him giving glory to God And I found out Monday morning that after I shut the TV off He dropped the f-bomb and and and it's like oh my Lord Did I say that did I mention him how good he and he did that but He went back at apologized He said that's not who I am and so I appreciate that but today I am going to reference another football player His name is DeShawn Bishop He was raised right here in a local guy at Knoxville Running back for the University of Tennessee His freshman year he had a rocky start As a matter of fact, he was charged for reckless driving He got injured on the field and he was he was on the sideline and he's just living a wildlife The coaches had a talk with him and they had a heart-to-heart sometimes we need heart-to-heart talks You need somebody in your life that can really be honest with you So the coaches had a heart-to-heart and just shared with him you better change your life You need to make some adjustments you need to change God's got a plan for you, but the direction you're going is not leading to God's plan What happened? He surrendered his life to Jesus. How many of you realize that's the best decision you can ever make in your life? It is He surrendered his life to Jesus and then He started working hard He started putting the time in the discipline into working out and getting stronger and running and doing all those things and last weekend The Sean Bishop led the NCC double-A
in rushing with 220 yards and three touchdowns local boy right here Rocky star anybody ever had a rocky start? How about a person ministry anybody ever had a rocky start? How about Pacer Haperley anybody ever had a rocky start? How about all of us any of us ever had a rocky start? I Yesterday 138 yards last I heard And scored the winning touchdown against Arkansas the Sean Bishop But here's the cool thing last week This excited me because last week after that 220 yards he was beat up he was hit he was knocked down he kept getting up and going again And it was almost like there's something inside of him that's driving him It's almost like there's a blessing and and here's what I saw Sunday morning Somebody from severe heights this just down the road here Had a post with the Sean Bishop in church Sunday morning worship in the Lord Amen (audience clapping) Father, we're just so grateful, Lord, for today. We're so thankful, Father, for what you're doing. And God, I pray today that every single person that's listening to me would hear this message and apply it to their own individual life. They would look at areas in their life, maybe where they're dissatisfied, and see if that's you wanting them to make some adjustments. Because you're wanting to do something even far greater than they could ever imagine. Lord, there may be some people here today that's never surrendered their life to Jesus. And we know it starts. The rather blessing starts with giving our life to you. Right now, if the Lord's been dealing with you about surrender, today would be an awesome day to say yes to the Lord. The Bible says that God loved you so much, that he gave his son. His son came to this earth, lived a godly life, worked miracles, signs and wonders, but then was hung on a Roman cross. He died there. His body was laid in a tomb, but on the third day, God raised him from the dead. And today, right now, as I'm speaking, Jesus is alive.
Making the intercession praying for you, that you would accept the great sacrifice that he's made. Pray church right now. If there's anyone lost that today, they would say yes to Jesus. If you're here right now and you just say, "Pastor, the Lord's dealing with me." The Lord's dealing with me about surrender, about being all-in for the Lord. And I hear you and I would just appreciate it if you would remember me in prayer. If that's you, hold up your hand real quick around this building. Amen. Amen. Other hands. Hold it up high. Amen. To God sees him in the corners, in the back, in the stadium seats, on the edges. And yes, Lord sees him. Anybody else today? Lord's calling me. Lord's calling me. Thank you for raising your hand. You can put your hands down. My prayer for you is that you would surrender your life to Christ today. Give him it all. Walk out of here a new man or a new woman. It'll be the best decision you've ever made. Say yes to Jesus. Here's another quick question I'm going to ask you. How many of you have left God's plan A for your life? And today the Holy Spirit is speaking to you about getting back on track real quick. Hold up your hand across this building. I mean, there's so many hands. So many hands. So many hands. Lord, we know you see every hand and we know this message is for all of us. But God, give these individuals courage to get back on track. Another question. I just want to know this. How many of you today would be honest and say, you know what Pastor? I just don't know what God's plan for my life is. Hold up your hand real quick. Father, all the hands right now that's going up, my prayer is that you will reveal it completely. With clarity, reveal your plan plan A for these individual lives in Jesus' name. I'm going to ask the prayer team to come if you would. We're going to sing this last song. And if you would like prayer for anything, these altars are open. You raised your hand about, you know, plan A, moving away from it. Step up and talk to one of these individuals today and just let them know, hey, I'm ready to get back on track. Amen? I'm going to complete what God's called me to do. We love you guys and so thankful, so grateful for each one of you being here today. Let's worship with the team. [Music]
