help us with that. I really believe that, guys. Except for the ones that were particular for women, at some point in my life, I raised my phone and the light to every one of those. Worryer, check. Struggling with anxiety, check. Depressed, check. Jesus can help us through it. I just want to encourage you. Someone needs to hear this today. It came to pass. It didn't come to stay. It came to pass. What you're feeling, what you're facing, it didn't come to stay. It came to pass. Just stay in the storm. You're going to walk on water. You don't get that testimony without the test. I just appreciate your honesty. It's real good. The Lord dropped that in my spirit last night at 1045. I wish he would have dropped it a little earlier. I've been here since 2 p.m. at the office, but I was finished wrapping up the message. I was like, Jesus, I'm tired. It's not good when you're writing a sermon, you're tired. I was like, Lord. At the very end, it was like the cherry on top. I was like, I'm going to use this tomorrow. I love that. This is my third chance. It's my third chance today to get to preach. I preached over on the first one a little. I preached over on the second one a little more, even though I knew I needed to trim it. We don't have a gathering after this gathering. So watch you guys get out earlier than you should. But seriously, I'm so excited to be here. I want to talk to you about the two words that sometimes people say, and they say it so fast, especially here in the South. It sounds like one word, good works. I want to speak to you about good works, but I want to speak to you about good works. Good works, not good works, but good really does work. We're going to go to Matthew chapter five. Matthew chapter five begins. We have the sermon on the Mount, beginning with the Beatitudes. These are the words of Jesus. How many know that when Jesus is speaking, we need to be listening. When Jesus is speaking, we need to be taking notes. When Jesus is speaking, we need to get into obedience mode. Are you with me? These are some powerful words, and if you grew up in church at all, you know these verses. In fact, the truth is that you probably could almost say these couple of verses from Matthew chapter five, 14, 15, and 16. I want you to get one thought, and I really believe that the work of a sermon is complicated, but a message itself. The Bible says preach the word, or to preach the word. The word, the preaching was God ordained, but the hardest part of preaching a message, I think, is when you're working. You've got all the stuff, you know. I mean, believe it or not, you probably believe it, I preach

for hours, but it's getting it down, and it's the cutting, where you cut, and you cut, and you cut, and you cut, and then you want to simplify it all the way from the sermon to one sentence. You sushi-size it. You get it to where it's portable, so that you can take it with you, and you'll remember the sermon from a sentence. Are you with me? And so here's the sermon in a sentence, because that sentence is what's going to change your life, because that sentence is compacted from all of these verses from God's Word, and here's the sentence, shine so they can see. Shine so they can see. Jesus says in John's Gospel, he says, I am the light of the world. That's what he says. He says, I am the light of the world. Jesus is the light of the world. How many of you are thankful Jesus is the light of the world? I mean, how many of you are still thankful that he is still the light of the world? Like I've been to Ecuador, and Jesus is the light of the world. I've been to Mexico, and Jesus is the light of the world. I've been to China, and Jesus is the light of the world. I've been to Haiti, and Jesus is the light of the world. I've been to a lot of other places. I've been to Israel, and Jesus is the light of the world. Not a fraction of the world. This is not like you've got a big house, and like this is a big place. No, this is like the world. Jesus is the light of the world, and that's powerful. That's one of seven I am statements that Jesus said in the Bible. The seven I am's. One of them Jesus said I am the light of the world and then Jesus does this thing where in Matthew's gospel we go from John 9 to Matthew chapter 5 verse 14 and and Jesus flips the script and Jesus says you are the light of the world you are Now, let's have some fun How many liked it better when Jesus was saying he was the light of the world. It's kind of like responsibilities on Jesus How many understand that now he is inviting us into the game? He's inviting us to get on the field on the court. He's inviting us to do what he does That's what a great rabbi did they would ask you to follow them only if they believe that you could do what they do and now Jesus our Rabbi is saying come follow me and and Jesus is saying you be the light of the world What he's saying is you can do what I do You can do now, let's have some fun preach to your neighbor pick pick which side need some preaching today So make sure preaching and tell them you're the light of the world

Come on this is an all-skate Come on, tell them again. You're the light of the world All right now take that finger, you know, take that finger say you the light of the world, baby So shine bright Like a diamond Shine bright like a diamond. Why why cuz you the light of the world, baby Jesus went from I am to you are and What's funny is we're following Jesus and as we follow Jesus the Spirit of God makes us like Jesus That's called sanctification. It's a process. I don't get saved and then I'm exactly like Jesus. I'm like half-hood half-holy Catch me on the holy day You don't want to catch me on the half-hood day But I'm learning Jesus is making me and I'm not I'm not there yet. I'm not everything I should be but thank God I'm not what I used to be Thankful. I'm not what I used to be and so to follow Jesus We need to be Christ like which means we need to be like Christ or aka also known as Christians Christians, that's what the word Christian means. It means Christ like or watch this. It means a little Christ Now we ordered some Jesus on Amazon you didn't know you get Jesus on Amazon But we did we had a cruise back in March. How many seen the little Jesus? You know what I'm talking about? Uh-huh. We ordered a couple hundred of those bad boys and we took Jesus on the cruise Jesus likes to cruise too We took Jesus on the cruise. We took Jesus to the bar We took Jesus to the tables We took Jesus to the pool We took Jesus to the comedy show and the concert We took Jesus over by the trash cans. How many know Jesus knows a thing or two about some trash? You want to have some fun look at that same neighbor say he know all about your trash You know all about your trash. Jesus know about your trash We took Jesus everywhere we and we just putting Jesus down one place We put three Jesus and they had the different color robe, you know the sash, you know We had one for the Father one for the Son one for the Holy Spirit

And the Trinity right there and we take you and we left him and what's funny is we watch people they pick up Jesus You know, I started thinking what what what what what what are you putting down that other people are picking up? See if you put down Jesus someone gonna pick up Jesus cuz somebody need Jesus But You're putting an attitude down how many know someone might pick up that attitude You know this if you're a parent, you know, when your kids are little, you know, we give them a screen, you know Aka babysitter. Here's an iPad and We're on our phones we do so much on our phones. I'm thankful for technology sometimes it doesn't stop though does it becomes technology and And and and then if we're not careful if we just always have our phone in our face In fact put my face in the phone turns on the phone But by doing this if I'm not careful, my kids are watching me and then when they get older They're gonna be doing the same thing. Are you with me is what we put down matters? Because other people gonna pick it up I want to talk to you about darkness and light and and more about light than darkness today But what is darkness darkness is just the absence of light. It's what darkness is and no matter how dark it is Darkness cannot dim light Can't and Jesus said you are the light So darkness is the absence of light I wonder how many people here today are scared of the dark now You can raise your hand, but you don't have to raise your hand But, but you know, that's, that can be a thing and I wonder how many people actually been in real total darkness before. Anyone, you raise your hand to that one. Like in a, in a cave, in a cavern, right? Maybe you were diving and it was like, you turn the light off. Doodle, doodle. You know, it's freaky to turn the light back on. And you know what's funny is you can really scare people good in the dark. You can get them. Any, anybody here like to do that for your family? You like to do that for your family? It's fun, isn't it? It's Mama Gail in this one. I don't see her. Y'all don't tell her. I love scaring Mama Gail because, it's because of her reactions. I get her every time. I get her so good. You know, you don't know

if you're scared of the dark till you've actually truly been in total darkness. Darkness is just the absence of light. And, and Jesus came to do away with the darkness. John's Gospel starts out that Jesus is life, Jesus is light. Let's kill the lights real quick if we can. Let's just kill the lights. And it's not dark. But we kill the lights. We kill the screens. But it's not total darkness. And why is it not total darkness? Because we got the light from the cross. Are you with me? And watch this. The cross is light. And wherever, that's a pretty picture right there. Wherever the cross is, there's light. Wherever a Christian is, there should be light. Because we have the Holy Spirit of God. We have, we have the light. You think about light. That's a silent influencer. It just shows up. It doesn't have to announce it's coming. Everybody knows when it arrives. It's powerful. As a Christian, our light should be so bright that, that it, we should be influencers to outsiders. Outside of the knowledge of God. People outside of, of, of knowing that God loves them. Not just inside, but getting it to the outside. This is the thing about light. Light is powerful. Light, which is what we're called to be, it just removes darkness. You see, light reveals the truth. And you probably got up to use the bathroom, or to get some ice cream from the refrigerator, or whatever it was, and you didn't turn on the light. Because you don't want to get caught, or you know, whatever, whatever. And you, you just go in. And, and, or you didn't want to wake the baby until you stepped on the Lego. And then you and Jesus needed to, you know. You ever step on a Lego before? I think it'd make you cuss, boy. I'm telling you. You ever step on a little matchbox car? Our kids had a dump truck, and I stepped on that one night, right in the middle. I stepped on that thing, and like to, I never walked on water, but I walked on air, boy, pretty quick. We are the light of the world. In fact, Jesus says that you're the light. And here's what I know about the light. When some of us came to Christ, we just, we just shining bright. We were shining so bright. We're like, man, let me tell you about Jesus. And it was Jesus in the morning, and it was Jesus at noon, and it was Jesus when the evening went down. We were just so happy to have our sins forgiven. We were so happy to taste and see that the Lord is good. We're so happy

because we, we experienced the mercy of God, and the grace of God. Getting what I don't deserve, and not getting what I do deserve. And our light was so bright. But then what happens as a Christian, we flirt with temptation. We cross the line. We sin. We feel guilty. We get away from church. We get away from God. We isolate ourselves, and that's what the devil wants. The devil, show me a Christian who is isolated, and I'll show you a roaring lion who is ready to pounce. And then we wonder, how did we get here? And it is a gradual, it's just a gradual dim, right? Like, what do we call it here, right? We call it drifting. You go to the gulf, go to the beach, and before you know it, you're looking back at your beach chairs. And you're like a football field away. And you didn't even know it was happening. That's, that's how it is with God. But I got good news today. There's some good news today. Just like it was a slow fade, you can come back to Christ and shine bright. So shine. Bright, let your light so shine. Let's look at Matthew, Matthew 5, 14 through 16. You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. A city. I was flying into New York City years ago, and the first time I'd been flying in, we were in the clouds. We came out of the clouds, and all of a sudden, and of course, it's nighttime, all of a sudden, there's the city. It was one of the most beautiful things I ever saw. It was amazing. I'm a window guy. I want to sit next to the window, not because I'm nervous, because I want to see.

Like, let's go. I want to see the hash marks when we're taking off, and they're just like this, and there's like a straight line. I like getting pushed back in the chair. I take off, right? The acceleration, the liftoff. I really love the landing. The good landings, you know? They say you can tell the difference between a Navy pilot and an Air Force pilot. That's what I've been told. I'm not sure, Stevie. Not sure about this. But I like the landing. I like arriving. Are you with me? I love seeing New York City. It was amazing to see that great city, a city on a hill. In 2017, the Lord, let me turn the lights back on. Thank you. In 2017, the Lord was, I was reading the Bible, and the Bible was reading me. God spoke to me, and God said, believe me for this property, and it's the property after this property. Right here, we can squeeze in 275, 300.

Like, we really get all the chairs in. We got people in the balcony, had people in the balcony last gathering. We get it every seat filled. We get about somewhere around there, I think 300 seats or so. This next place, gonna hold hundreds. And so since 2017, I've been prayer walking this place, and last year sometime, I was preaching somewhere. I landed back in, got in late, and it's kind of close to the airport. That's the only hint. And so anyways, so I'm gonna stop by. I'm gonna go around this place. There's no cars in the parking lot. I'm going around, I'm prayer walking it, and the Holy Spirit said, city on a hill. This property be a city on the hill for Jesus. And you know, for things to come to fruition in your life, you gotta pray. That's one thing to pray. It's another thing to pray through. Right? Like, push, right? Pray until something happens. Like, you're praying, and you're praying through, and it's easy to get discouraged and quit praying, but you gotta keep praying, because it's gotta break in the natural, but it really gotta break first in the supernatural.

It won't change in the natural if it doesn't get changed in the supernatural. Did I lose anyone? Do you understand what I'm saying? Like, we don't wrestle against flesh and blood. There's a spiritual warfare going on, so we gotta pray, and when we pray, God makes a way. So pray. So I'm walking around, and the Lord says, city on a hill. It got me excited, because I thought of Matthew 5 right here. Look what it says. It says that you are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden, just like New York City couldn't be, nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, on a lampstand, and it gives light to all that are in the house. Now, I grew up in church. We sang this song. We sang it every gathering so far. Let's see if y'all know it. This little light of mine. Anybody know it? Well, let's sing it. Here we go, ready? This little light of mine, I'm gonna. Come on, keep singing. This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine. One more time, here we go.

This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine. Let it. Shine, let it shine, let it shine. Don't let Satan blow it out, I'm gonna. Come on, how many remember? Don't let Satan blow it out, I'm gonna let. Oh, y'all sounded good, here we go. Don't let Satan blow it out, I'm gonna let it shine. Let it. Shine, let it shine, let it shine. Hide it under a. And they never told us what bushel meant. I mean, is it just me? I'm like, what's a bushel? Are we talking about ancient biblical currency? Is that what a bushel is? Are we talking about rice or grain? I'm lost, but I sang it. Hide it under a bushel, no. I'm gonna let it shine. And then, you know, the next one. Shine all over Pensacola, I'm gonna let it shine. Wherever you live, Jesus said, you are the light of the world. He went from me to we. We're the light of the world. And a light is not supposed to be hidden. It's not supposed to be hidden. So let your light shine before men. Man looks on the outward appearance,

but God looks on the heart. Both sides of that verse are true. Man looks on the outward appearance, but God looks on the heart. They're both true. And so I need to let my light so shine before men that men and women, people on the outside can see that something's shining from the inside. Are you with me? God already knows my heart. God already knows that I got a light. But we're talking about spiritual darkness. It's a dark world that we live in. Come on, it's a dark world. The darkness is real. I remember going to New Orleans, New Orleans, New Orleans. New Orleans, I remember showing up and pumping gas first time I stepped out in the city. They got some great restaurants. I remember pumping gas first time I got out of my car and pumping gas. I could feel the, I could feel the spiritual, I don't know if you know what I'm talking about. I could feel the spiritual opposition. I could feel the darkness, like I feel my shirt on me when I'm moving. I could feel it on me. It's a real thing. And places like that, Christians sometimes run from. And what Christians do is we curse the darkness.

We get on social media and we blast people. And Jesus didn't blast the two thieves on the cross. He could have blast them with truth. He could have blast them with the law. He could have give them an education, like I know you never went to church, you thinking to get it today. Jesus could have done that, but he didn't, why? Because Romans one says it's the goodness of God that leads me, brings me to repentance. It's the goodness of God. So if that's what the goodness of God can do, then what about my goodness? Because good works. It works. And sometimes as Christians, we just go blasting the darkness instead of lighting a candle. Put your energy in the light. Quit cursing the darkness. Put your energy in the light. Be about the light. Jesus is the light. In him, there is no darkness. And men love darkness rather than light for their actions are evil. That's what we need. And kill the lights one more time, please. We need a bright light. We need to shine before men so that people can see.

And what are they seeing? They are seeing the love of God in me. It's hard to glorify a God that you cannot glorify. That you cannot see. You think about some of your friends that they have no idea about God. Well, you're the introduction. You're the representation. You are the ambassador. You're the light. So shine bright. And when they see our father, when they, look what it says. So that they may see your good works. It'll be hard to see a good God if they can't see good Christians. It's hard to imagine you got a great heavenly father that loves you and is for you if you had a bad earthly father. In fact, that is so true for so many people. They cannot begin to fathom the goodness of God because, as father God, because they never experienced the goodness of their earthly father. Fathers, don't forget you represent more than yourself. Let that they may see your good works and then glorify your father, which is in heaven. It's not about our glory, it's about his glory. You got a city on a hill, super bright. You got a lamp, that lamp is intended to shine.

And we got this whole thing about the power. Before I came up for the first gathering, I walked up and I just saw this court on stage and I'm like, our team is sharp. I know they got an extension cord. Is that gonna be a bad illustration if the light doesn't light up? But I couldn't see it, it was black. It was kind of over there, I didn't see it. But this is perfect because here's the deal. You will never shine bright. You will never even shine a little if you're not plugged in. If you're not plugged into God's word, let's try it this way. There we go. Keep my readers close here. If you're not plugged into prayer, if you just go show up to church when it's convenient, when you feel like it, What about this, when you're reading the Bible and you miss one, or a few, or several, and then what does the devil do? He jumps in, doesn't he? Doesn't he beat you over the head? You know, maybe you're on you version and you had a winning streak going, and then you missed one, and the devil's like, well, you might as well stop now. You almost did it for a year. Welcome to 342 days, and the devil says, just stop. Or you're praying, and it doesn't seem to be doing any good, and your faith is just kind of struggling a little bit.

Doubt is rising. You get glimpses of flashes of light. But God didn't call anyone to be a firecracker, because firecrackers, they're beautiful. They just don't last. And they're expensive. They cost a lot. God said, give me a lightbulb. Give me a lightbulb that'll just shine. And God wants you and I to shine so bright. Are you shining bright? Are you plugged in? Are you connected to God? You're connected to the church, God's house. How connected are you? How bright are you shining? Do the people around you know that you are a Christian? Do your neighbors know you love Jesus? Do they watch you pull out the driveway on Sundays, but never speak the name? Like, we got to be light. We get to be light. So shine bright. And the church has got to get this right for too long. The world, we'll go back to the lights, please. And thank y'all for your help, guys. Thank y'all so much. We've got to get this right as Christians, because religion preaches good works. That good works gets you to God. If you're good outweighs your bad, then you're going to be able, St. Pete's going to let you into heaven if you're good outweighs your bad. If you're good enough, but then the question is, that religion never answers,

is how good is good enough? You mean I don't get to know on earth the level of goodness I have to attain? So I'm just playing Russian roulette. I'm just throwing and rolling the dice. I'm just hoping. Hope's a bad strategy. The Bible preaches something far different. The Bible doesn't tell us that good works get us to God. The Bible teaches that it's the finished work of Christ. That is the ultimate good work. And I can never reach up to God. So God came down and became a man. It's the finished work on Calvary's cross where Jesus bled for our sins. He died for our sins. And because of the finished work, it's not about my work. Christianity screams, it is finished. The price that has to be paid for my sin mortgage is paid once for all. And paid, here's my favorite part, in full. Like wouldn't it be cool if you went home tomorrow and you got a note from the bank. And they said someone paid your mortgage off. How many would like that to happen? I'm raising my hand just so God can see it. Wouldn't that be amazing? Be amazing. Jesus paid it all. That's why all to Him I owe. Because Jesus paid it all. And because of Calvary, the Holy Spirit, He empowers me to do good works because I've been to the cross. Not to get to the cross, but because I've already been to the cross.

I've already tasted and seen that the Lord is good. And because the Lord is good, He said He's a good shepherd. So because He's good, when I get squeezed, goodness ought to come out. Because whatever's on the inside comes out when it gets squeezed. So goodness ought to flow. We go to lunch. Sunday ought to be the favorite day for every waiter, waitress, every restaurant. Because they're like, you know what, this is the most encouraging day of the week. But you know what they say that work in the industry? They hate Sunday the worst. Because there's mean people that come from church and didn't bring Jesus with them. It's true. And they don't tip. They don't tip. If you don't tip, lie. Well, you're sinning. Lie. And tell them you go to another church. Don't tell them you go to Momentum. Don't leave an invite card. I'm tipping them an invite. That's like your tithe being your service. I'm still testing one too. Well, we got to we got to land this plane Shine so they can see and the question is will you every good message ought to end with a question. Will you? Will you shine so they can see? Will you shine so your kids can see? Will you shine so your nieces and your nephews can see what about your siblings? What about your parents? What about your children? What about your grandchildren? But will you shine so they can see your best friends who you've never once listen to me

There should be conviction in a message if not It's fluff There's so much conviction in Steven's message they killed him They got so angry why because there was there was conviction So that teaches us that when we feel convicted we can either get angry or we can get right and repent And get right with the Holy God What will you will you shine bright so they can see what about those friends that your fishing buddies your golf buddies Come on, the ladies that do your nails Do they know you're a Christian do they know hope has a name Do they know Jesus is alive like we the light and and this this not gonna get the job done You know why all the disciples got murdered martyred except for one and they tried to kill him John they boiled him in oil But God had a purpose, you know that teaches me God has the final say it doesn't matter what man man's plans man may have plans but God's purpose prevails and We we're not gonna reach the world like this. We're gonna reach the world like this You know why there's revival and spiritual awakening in America right now because there are college students that are doing this I Watched a clip some of y'all know who I'm talking about What is it Savannah bananas? Did I say that right? And he went out and prayed y'all watch this on Instagram and he's like I'm getting ready to pray in front of however many thousand People and no one can stop me and they just starts praying filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. He is praying I'm telling you man. God inhabits his praise. God. Here's his our prayer. God. Here's our prayers That's man. It's just being bright You'd have to be a preacher Just to shine bright. You have to be a missionary evangelist to be a bright light God is looking for dentists. God is looking for coaches God is looking for nurses and doctors and surgeons and lawyers and police officers God is looking for every one of us to be light Now, let's look at one verse and we're through let's go to Luke 8 Luke 8 this this taught me some I learned something last night It's good when you learn No one lights a lamp and then covers it with a bowl

or hides it under a bed A lamp is placed on a stand where its light can be seen by all who entered the house There's a comparison here Luke was a doctor Gotta be smart to be a doctor Very intelligent He's gonna teach us something here I've studied the Bible read the Bible. I never knew this till last night Maybe maybe you too It compares a bed A bed and it compares a bowl or the bushel we talked about which is a basket Let's just talk about it real quick No one takes no one takes a lamp and puts a bowl over the lamp to hide the light That's the purpose of the light is to be bright to shine out So no one puts a bowl, but I want you to think basket here The word in some translation was bushel. It was a basket It was something they picked up and they took to work with them and it carried their stuff Fishermen think about you got the cart. You got all your stuff ladies. Think about you got your purse You got all that stuff in there And you need it and you got it with you and it's cool when you need it and you got it and so the bowl Served a purpose Then then you got the bed is over here and Luke is gonna do a little contrast and and let's just think for a second When someone doesn't get out of bed, they don't go to work. They never get out of bed. They just stay in bed We call them That depression depressed will do that it's exactly right I've been there But if you do that for a lifetime Someone will call you lazy And you may be mistaken for lazy, but you're not lazy. You're just stuck in depression But staying in bed the Bible teaches us staying in bed it doesn't get it done So we think about the bed and putting your light underneath the bed

instead of shining it, putting it on the lampstand, that's a form of laziness. We can get lazy. We can get lazy. We can all get lazy from time to time. And then over here, that's the bed, but then over here, you've got the basket. That basket represented work. People would carry stuff to work. When they left work, they'd bring stuff home. Think about like a grocery bag, and they had all their goodies in that basket. And that represents busyness. And busyness is the opposite of laziness. And laziness is the opposite of busyness. And what Luke is trying to teach us here is you cannot let your light shine because you're being too lazy. And you cannot let your light shine because you're too busy. The question is, which one has taken you out? If you got out of the game, was it laziness? You just stopped serving Jesus? Or was it you got too busy for Jesus? Because Jesus stooped to serve. Jesus took up the towel. That's what Jesus did. Jesus said, I've come that you might have life and have it abundantly, and I've come to serve, not to be served. We know why Jesus came. Why did you come? It's time. It's time to say, you know what? This little light of mine, I'm going to let it shine. Hide it under a basket or a bushel, whatever you want to call it.

Nope. I'm going to let it shine. Don't let Satan blow it out. I'm going to let it shine. Shine all over Pensacola, Navarre, Gulf Breeze, Cantona, the beach, Alabama. Lord knows they need it. That was for my Alabama friends. I'm just teasing, but it woke you up. I'm going to let it shine. I'm going to let it shine. Shine until Jesus comes. You know when your faith shines the brightest? Is when the storm is the darkest. When the storm gets the darkest. We found out Pastor Steph had cancer. We had a decision to make, but it wasn't a decision because we already made the decision. We're going to keep shining for Jesus. But you know how many people got to see the light of Jesus? Because we were in the darkest night. Grace like rain. God timed that. The Bible says that, my God, the Bible says he plans the details of our lives. You made it. No one else got to hear this today. God's grace has fallen like rain on this place. And there are people right now, that's why I'm sitting down. There are people right now and you're in the darkest night and the devil is trying to blow it out. And I want to tell you something, this is your greatest opportunity to shine bright because the darker the night, the brighter the light.

So shine that they may see your good works, because good works and glorify your father, which is in heaven. Let's pray. God, thank you for that little God wink. You just reminded Lord that you're here. That's the presence of God right there. You tell it when to rain. You bring the rain. Every good gift is from above. God, thank you for highlighting your word today. God, I don't get it right. Don't always get it right. But God, I want to shine bright for you. I want other people to look at me and see Jesus. So I asked for myself and I asked for my friends. God help us. Lord, if we need to throw away. The bowl. If we need to take the lamp from underneath the bed, whatever we need to do to get that light on the lamp stand so that others may see. Help us to do it today. Help us not to get out of here and just go eat lunch. And the Word was brought today, but we didn't let it grow roots. We didn't marinate. We were just, here's not doers. Look up here. The Spirit of God spoke to me last night, the Spirit of God said the lamp in a city on a hill, the lamp is personal. There never be a city on a hill. If everybody done turn on their own lights, so it's your job to turn on your light. And if we get enough of us, this is what love week is about coming up July, we get enough of us. Our light shining bright in the city will be like a city on a hill, but you never get the city on a hill corporately. If you don't shine your light individually. So father, help us to do that. The devil wants your soul. The devil is betting on your soul. He's lied to you so many lives for so long. He's got you twisted. He's got you blinded. He's got you confused. And today the light comes on and reveals the truth. Here's the truth and the light of the gospel. While we were sinners, Christ died for us.

While you were in the middle of your rebellion, while you were in the middle of running from God and doing things that you knew were not right, God was chasing you with love and mercy and forgiveness. And scripture says that if we'll confess that we're a sinner, if we'll confess that Jesus is Lord, if we'll believe that He died, He bled, He died, He was buried and He rose again. If we will believe and receive the gift of God, which is Jesus, that you'll pass from death to life. That you'll become born again. You'll become a Christian, a child of God. So the only way anyone gets to heaven is by being born again. Have you been born again? If not, today's your day. Don't gamble with your soul. Matthew says, what in the world, what is it, profit? If you would gain the whole world and lose your soul for eternity. Like, come on, can you imagine owning, owning all the beautiful islands in the world? If you owned all that and you died and went to hell? What good was 90 years when eternity never stops? That's what the verse is saying. Don't gamble with your soul. Give your life to Christ. There's no one He won't receive. There's no one too far gone. You've run too far. You've fallen too low. No, no. He'll pick you up, clean you up. You don't get cleaned up to come to Jesus. You come to Jesus dirty. You come to Jesus unclean.

You come to Jesus as a sinner. You come just as you are, without one plea, but that your blood was shed for me. Oh Lamb of God, I come. There needs to be some people coming to Christ today.
