“GOODBYE YESTERDAY” inside a women’s prison. 🙌🏽

During the God Behind Bars Music prison tour, Jonsal Barrientes and his wife joined us inside a women’s correctional facility in East Mississippi for a worship moment we will never forget.

As Jonsal began leading “Goodbye Yesterday,” the women in the room started singing it back.

Then it grew louder.

And louder.

Until the room was filled with incarcerated women declaring:

GOODBYE YESTERDAY.

HELLO TO A NEW DAY. ❤️

Inside prison walls, those words carry a different weight.

These women cannot rewrite yesterday.

They cannot erase every decision, every consequence or every painful chapter that brought them here.

But they can decide that yesterday will not define who they become next.

That is the message at the heart of this worship moment.

Through Jesus there is forgiveness.

There is restoration.

There is hope.

There is a NEW DAY.
