God Provides || Pastor Charles Jenkins

Somebody give God a shout of praise in the victory, a shout of praise, a shout of victory. We crown Him King, to God be the glory for the things that He's done, that He's doing, that He's getting ready to do. Come on, praise Him. We just hit the third quarter of 2026, halftime is over, come on, let's celebrate what He's going to do this second half of the year, in Jesus' name we pray. I want to stay right here if we can for a second, can we sing a song? I wrote this little song in my bedroom, I never intended to release it, and I did. I only said that to say to somebody, God has given you something you never intended to release, and you got to step out and do what you never wanted to do and be what you never wanted to be, because you're meant to be a vessel, to be a blessing to somebody you don't even know. The words are, my God is awesome, He can move mountains, keep me in the valley, hide me from the rain. He heals me when I'm broken, gives me strength where I've been weakened, forever He'll reign. Come on, let's sing it if y'all got it. Everybody all over the building, whatever voice you got, let's sing it to the heavens as loud as you can. Sopranos, altos, tenors, bass, baritone, no tone. Come on, my God is awesome. Come on, He can move mountains, keep me in the valley, hide me from the rain. Now clap for the people standing next to you, behind you, in front of you. There are no big I's or little U's. Everybody's somebody in the kingdom. You may have your seats all over the building. Those of you that are worshiping with us around the world, I am not Darius Daniels, P.D. I'm his brother. I represent for Chi-town. Matthew chapter number 14 for our time together. Matthew chapter number 14 for our time together. And I want to jump around Matthew chapter number 14, verse number 13. When Jesus heard what had happened, he withdrew by boat privately to a solitary place. Hearing of this, the crowds followed him on foot from the towns. When Jesus landed and saw, somebody shout saw, a large crowd, he had compassion. Somebody shout compassion on them and healed their sick.

Skip down, if you will, to verse number 17 for the sake of time. We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish. They answered. Verse 18, I love this. Jesus said, bring them here to me. Verse 19, and he directed the people to sit down on the grass, taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven. He gave thanks and broke the loaves and he gave them to the disciples and the disciples gave them to the people. They all ate and were satisfied and the disciples picked up 12 baskets full of broken pieces that were left over. Verse 21, the number of those who ate was about 5,000 men besides women and children. And the whole church said, amen, amen. Before I jump in, I want to say thanks again to PD for trusting me with the microphone today and thank y'all for going along with the substitute teacher today. I appreciate it so much and I want to ask for your prayers. I'm really excited. In three weeks, I'll be back in Atlanta to shoot my first movie. I'm shooting a Christmas movie that'll drop this holiday season. It's called Chocolate Santa. And Chocolate Santa is a gentleman who does not wait until Christmas to demonstrate what Christmas means. He's doing Christmas all year round and leads us to the idea of giving in generosity all year round. For our time we have to share together, everybody, I want to talk from this subject from two words, God provides. God provides. For my note takers online and in the building, because you got to re-preach this this week on Facebook and TikTok, God provides. I'm a serial entrepreneur, multiple lanes, multiple veins, as Pastor mentioned in the

intro, a fashion company, a film company, a music company, and other things, and as God guides me to move throughout life in my lanes and in my veins, sometimes one of the most difficult things that any one of us can do that unfortunately I have to experience more than I want to sometimes is the concept of waiting. Waiting can be uncomfortable, waiting can be frustrating, there can be anxiety when you're waiting for somebody else, when you're waiting for things to fall in place, when you're waiting for things to fall in line, when there's a goal, an aim, an objective, a need that you want to see met, and it seems like things don't move when you want them to move, the way you want them to move, how you want them to move, and you find yourself sitting in a waiting room. If you would allow me to paint some pictures for you, there are many different kinds of metaphorical waiting rooms. The first waiting room for a picture... purposes is the bus stop. The bus stop. Anybody ever been to a bus stop at the 1015? Ever heard of a bus stop? The bus stop is the kind of waiting room where you are waiting to be picked up, to be taken to your destination. Where you're trying to get to, it's too far for you to walk. You can't get there on your own. It's too far for you to get there on your own. It's just too much for you to try to get there on your own and so you're in the waiting room of the bus stop waiting to get picked up. Where is the bus? You are waiting and in real life there are destinations, there are locations, there are goals or aims or expectations, places or possibilities that you cannot take yourself to. You don't have the wherewithal. It's too much for you. It's more than you can do, more than you can handle and and you need some help getting to where you're trying to be. The bus stop is a kind of waiting room. Number two, another kind of waiting room is the airport gate. The airport gate. And it's different from the bus stop because you've moved through the airport, you've gone through security and I don't know why. I don't know why. It's so exciting when you walk through the metal detector and you don't get snagged. You don't get pulled to that. I don't know why I'd be wanting to praise them once I make it

through and it doesn't go off. Anybody ever been there? You go off and you and you run in later, beep, and you like, God. But you make it through, you make it to your gate and you're sitting with anticipation because you're getting ready to board because you're about to take off. You've done all you can do, you've done all you needed to do to get to the takeoff location. You prayed, you've done your work, your homework, you've done your research and you made it to the place, but you're getting ready to go to another level. Eyes have not seen, ears have not heard, nor has it entered into the heart of man. The great things, you got a spirit of expectation, anticipation, and have you ever been at that place where you were getting ready to board, you were getting ready to take off, and you got hit with a delay? Happened to me the other day. And you're at that place with just when you thought what things were getting ready to go there, just when you thought you were getting ready to go to another level, just when you thought things were getting ready to work out the way you wanted them to work out, you got hit with a delay. But aren't you glad a delay is not a deny? It's just a matter of time, but in real life still, you're in the waiting room. You got to wait. The third kind of waiting room is the doctor's office. Have you ever been in the waiting room of the doctor's office? And it's a reason why they call us the patient, because you're sitting in the waiting room. Have you ever been sitting there wondering what they were doing back there? I signed in. I done watched the little TV. I done read the little Cosmopolitan magazine. I done scrolled and looked at Ray Ray, Tay Tay, KK, and Shay Shay. I've been sitting out here so long, I done downloaded some new apps. In the waiting room of the doctor's office, you are waiting to be seen. I just want to be seen. I just want to be seen. I don't quite know what's going on sometimes. If somebody would just see me and help me figure out what's going on with me. I just want to be seen, not ignored. I don't want to be ignored, especially by the people I've shown up and I've been present for, and now I got to mark you absent. I just want to be seen. The doctor's office, you want to be seen so you can get the help you need so you can be your best you in

the best possible place and position. Different from the doctor's office waiting room is the hospital waiting room. The doctor's office waiting room, you want to be seen. The hospital waiting room, you're waiting to see. You're waiting to see if everything is going to be all right. You're waiting to see if everything is going to work out. You're waiting to see if everything is going to get better, if everything is going to get fixed, if it's going to be a possibility that things are gonna be good. Have you ever been in the auto repair waiting room? You drove your car in, you needed it to be fixed, and you couldn't fix it yourself. You wish you could fix it. You pulled it in with the expectation that they would fix it, and just when you thought it would be fixed, they said, I'm going to call you. And you got the wait gets longer and longer. Transition. Has anybody ever had something you could not fix, you could not make better, you could not correct, you could not? When you read this amazing passage of scripture, when you get to chapter 14, verse number 13, the 5,000, everybody, they're in the waiting room. They are hungry. They are famished. They are in need of food. The whole story is about the 5,000. And the scripture says, Jesus pulls his boat up to where they are. He gets off of the boat. And the scripture says, and when he saw them, somebody shout, saw. The scripture says he had compassion on them. Somebody shout, compassion.

He provides. But before he provides, number one, for my note takers, I want you to know this, he sees you. He sees you. He sees the person. He sees the position. He sees the posture. He sees the possibility. I came to say to somebody, when you're in the waiting room, sometimes you can feel unseen. Sometimes you can feel ignored. Sometimes you can feel alone. Sometimes you can feel abandoned. But I came to say to somebody, he sees you, not just when you're broke, busted, and disgusted, but when you're substantially successful. You can be in a state where you just want to be seen. And I came to say to somebody, when you feel like nobody sees you, the people who should see you don't see you. They misperceive you and misconceive you and misunderstand you and misinterpret you. I came to say to you, Jesus sees you, not just with his eyes, but he sees you with his heart. He sees you. There's an amazing passage in 2 Chronicles chapter 16, verse number 9. It says, for the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth to give strong support to those whose heart is

blameless toward him. Translation, like a good parent watching their child on the playground climb up stuff, slide down the jungle gym, grab on to the monkey bars. Like a good parent, his eyes are roaming to and fro, looking at his children. Can I remind somebody, God is not just a paramedic. Woo! He doesn't just show up when you're in trouble. There Willie is on the ground again. He doesn't just show up when we're in trouble. God is not just our crisis management department, but he's our heavenly father, a friend who sticks closer than a brother. I will never leave you nor forsake you, and his eyes are on you wherever you are. God's got your back, he's got your front, and he's got your sides. The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. He leads me beside still waters. Yea, though I walk through the valley and the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me. Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me. He prepares a table before me in the presence of my enemies. Not even your haters can back block your blessings, because right in the presence of your enemies, God is with you. He will prepare a table, sit you down,

and serve you right in the presence of those who don't want to see you eat. Can I fast forward? And if you think you're going to jump me from the back, surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the day. I got two pit bulls that roll with me everywhere I go. He sees me. And when he sees me, sometimes I'm in a situation where I'm at a deficit. Sometimes I'm in a situation when I'm in need, where he does not provide for me, he will keep me. He will sustain me. He will hold me together. And I'm talking to somebody who don't look like what you're waiting on or what you're going through. You look so good, it's because he's keeping you until he delivers you. Number two, not only does he keep me, not only does he see me, number two, for my note takers, he feels me. Number two, the scripture says, he He saw them, and then he had compassion on them. That word compassion, oitero in Greek, it means I feel your pain. See, it's the difference between sympathy and empathy. Sympathy means I see your pain, I feel bad for you, but I keep moving. Empathy means I see your pain, but I feel what you feel,

and I wanna help do something about what you feel and see if I can't help you get to a place you can't get to by yourself. I see you, but I feel you, and I wanna help do something about what you're dealing with. That word, that word, that word compassion, it means to feel somebody else's pain and to wanna do something, but it also means to see someone beyond the surface, so adeptly and acutely that you see through them and see their organs. When you study the word compassion, it means to have the ability to see somebody's lungs. Translation, to be able to see the heaviness in someone's breathing patterns, to be able to see the weight on the inside of them, to see their heart, to be able to see the sincerity and authenticity of someone's heart and to see their pain and to see their hurt. Have you ever seen somebody and you felt them? You felt the agony that they were feeling. When Jesus sees them, he feels them. He wants to do something about it, and the scripture says he steps off the boat. The whole passage is about feeding the 5,000, but because he feels them, he feels them, he knows why they're hungry, they need some healing. So he gets off the boat healing folk, and he gets off the boat healing all kinds

of sicknesses and diseases. Can I talk to somebody and say to you, you can be expecting Jesus to show up for one thing, but because he feels you, you can mess around and get blessed in areas that you wasn't even praying for at that particular moment and not just get one blessing, but multiple blessings all at the same time. He may not come when you want him to come, but he's always on time. Now under him, who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all, I can ask, that's pray, or think, that's imagine. Translation, he can do stuff you ain't prayed for, do stuff you ain't thought about, do stuff you ain't imagined because he feels you. I feel you need some strength, I feel you need some power, I feel you need some encouragement, I feel you need that door open, I feel. Number three, number three, number three, not only does he, come on class, see me, number two, feel me, but number three, he works for me. I said God provides, I'm not making it up, it's right there, the scripture says in verse number 15, it says, as evening approached, the disciples came to him and said, this is a remote place, we way out here in Gainesville, Georgia. We way out here in Fayetteville, let's get out of here Jesus, it's getting late, we way out here in Forsyth, it's getting dark, let's get out of here Jesus, send the crowds away,

it says, so they go to the village and buy themselves some food. Here's what the disciples say, we see they're hungry, Jesus, send them away so they can buy their own food, translation, tell them to go to Kroger themselves, send them to Publix, where shopping is a pleasure. I used to work there, paper or plastic, send them to all the Whole Foods, they get their own food, Jesus said, no, y'all gonna do it. Y'all are gonna work for them, y'all are gonna serve them, y'all are gonna help them, y'all are gonna come through for them, y'all work for me and since you work for me, I'm gonna assign y'all to them. Now, here's what blessed me, because it's right there, verse 16, he says, they don't need to go away. You give them something to eat. Here's what blessed me, the 5,000 are over here in the waiting room. They have no idea that over here, Jesus is holding a meeting about how to get them a blessing. They are obscurely waiting in the waiting room, and Jesus is talking about them, and organizing, orchestrating, and administrating disciples who don't even want to be a blessing to them. He's getting them together so that he can be a blessing to people who don't even know that their own Jesus is mine. Who did I come to preach to today? To say to you, while you're in the waiting room, Jesus can be organizing people who don't even want to be a blessing to you, getting them organized and together so that you can get what he wants you to have. Nobody can stop your blessing when it's time for you to get blessed, not even the people

who don't want you. He can put you on other people's minds without you knowing, and position you. He can make people work for you. You remember in Genesis chapter number 41, Joseph's in jail wrongfully. Pharaoh is looking for somebody to interpret his dreams. The butler who is in jail with Joseph gets out. He doesn't even like Joseph. Pharaoh says to the butler, do you know anybody who can interpret my dream? The scriptures say the butler don't want to say nothing, but God touches him. Well, there's a fella in jail named Joseph who can interpret your dream. He gets bail. Pharaoh gets Joseph out of jail, and he ends up interpreting his dreams. All I'm trying to say to somebody is when God gets ready to bless you, he will use people who don't want to be used, and he will take people who are your haters and turn them into your employees working on your behalf. You remember 1 Kings 17, Elijah was hungry. The scripture says it was a famine in the land, and the scripture says he goes by the brook of Cherith, and here come ravens, dirty birds, evil birds, angry birds. God takes the ravens and turns them into his Uber Eats, his grub hub, and makes them deliver a larger food. That's why you ought to stop talking about your haters and stop worrying about your haters and give that attention to God and let God make them your Uber Eats. Last one. We got to go. Come on, you got to re-preach this this week. Somebody shout, God provides. Number one, he sees me. Number two, he feels me. Number three, he works for me. Number four, he serves me.

He serves me. Look at it. It's right there in the scripture. Verse number 17, the disciples find two fish and five loaves of bread. It's not enough for 5,000 people, not including women or children. Jesus says to them, bring it to me. Bring me your not enough. Bring me your little bit. Bring me your seed. Bring me your little some, some. And the scripture says, because the disciples had counted it out, right, because a lot of times we dismiss the seed, not knowing that if we give it to Jesus, the harvest can manifest. He said, bring it to me. Now here's what blessed me in the passage. After he said, bring it to me, he says, tell the 5,000, tell them to sit down. Translation, I need them to get in position to see what I'm getting ready to do. Tell everybody, take a seat. And he takes it and he gives thanks for the little bit. He blessed the little bit. He said grace over the little bit. And the scripture says, after it was blessed, he broke it, gave it to the disciples and said, give it to the people, serve them. Now before I get there, if you want to see God do something special with your little bit, say grace over it. We generally say grace over our food. I came to say to somebody, you better say grace over that deal. Say grace over that class. Say grace over that application. Say grace over that team. Say grace over that assignment.

Say grace and watch God do some exceedingly, abundantly, above all. Blessed it, broke it, and start passing it out. They're all seated. He said, sit them down. Now watch this. Sometimes when we're in a season where we're just sitting and waiting, we can feel like it's punishment. I came to say to somebody, it's preparation. Yeah, he's preparing to serve you, preparing to show you something that you couldn't do in your own power. So after you get the blessing, you can't say nothing but nobody but God. He gets the glory, he gets the honor, he gets the praise. Many years ago, I was sitting in my office, Fellowship Chicago, with my successor, my new pastor, Reginald Sharp, Jr., from La Thonia, where they be on ya as the senior pastor now. And I was sitting at my desk, many, many years ago, and Reverend Jesse Lewis Jackson, who's a member of our church family, Reverend Jackson come and said, Jink, what you doing tomorrow? I said, Reverend, I'm gonna be at my desk working. He said, hey boy, why don't you come go to Africa with me tomorrow? Tomorrow?

Africa? Said, yeah boy, come go to Africa with me tomorrow. I said, Reverend, I don't know if I can go, like he said it like, let's run the Buckhead tomorrow. Like, I don't know if I can go to Africa with you tomorrow. Reverend said, I don't know why, you ain't doing nothing. I am, but okay. He said, no, no, no, this a big deal. This a big deal, boy. I'm going to meet with all 50 presidents of Africa. It's the African Union, the AU Summit, where all 50 presidents come together to debate on becoming the United States of Africa, and they only allowing three Americans in. Me, you, and Mayor Andrew Young from Atlanta. I said, okay. So I went. So we in Africa, and I'm with all the presidents and all of the things, and their meetings and all kinds of diplomatic and aristocratic discussions, and it's quite substantial and significant, and I'm glad to be in the service one more time. I'm just, look at me. And so at the end of the week-long celebration and meetings and all the things, there was a big dinner at the president of Ghana's home. It's a 227-room castle, and it's off the Ivory Coast, and it's red carpet as far as you could see on the grass. This is not the Africa that they show on TV

for 25 cents a day. You can spot, this ain't that Africa. This is coming to America. This a boom-da-doom-da-doom-doom-doom. She's your queen to be. This that Africa. This is Hakeem, the prince. This is King Jaffe Joffre. This is that Africa. I mean, it's carpet for miles as far as you can see red carpet, and even though I like to feel like I've graduated to a place and a point of some sophistication, I'm from down south, St. Petersburg, Florida to be exact, where we eat fish on Fridays and crabs on Saturday, and we spread the newspaper out, and even though I can do some fine dining and all of the things, I'm still a little country. And so, they bring us in and they seat us, and I look over, and I see a buffet, and I see all this food, and I see plates, and cups, and knives, and I see all the stuff, and I hadn't eaten all day. So while I'm sitting there, I say to myself, self, I don't know exactly how this works, but I'm gonna go get me something to eat. I get up and I walk over to where I think the line is supposed to start. I grab a plate, and I move towards the food. Women adorned in headwear and beautiful African garments,

they run, no, no, no, no, no. I thought I had gotten shot. They say, no, they take the plate, and they say, no, sit down, sit down. You do not touch nothing. You do not touch nothing. We serve you. You are our honored guest. Please. They escort me back to my seat. Sit down, and please wait, and allow us to serve you. You are our honored guest. They go, and they start fixing plates. They come back with two plates. More than I ever would have put on my plate. Stuff falling off both plates, all over the place. They sit the plates down in front of me and say, now, you please enjoy. Who did I come to say to today? That there have been seasons in your life. You've been in a sitting season and you were trying to figure out how to bless yourself, how to serve yourself, how to make stuff happen for yourself and God is saying to somebody, no, sit down, wait. You are my honored guest and I'ma put more on your plate than you can put on your plate. I'ma do more than you can ever do by yourself. God provides. God provides. God provides.

God provides. God, say it to your spirit. God, say it to your heart. God, say it to your mind. God, say it for when you're by yourself. God, say it when you're waiting on a door. God, say it when you're waiting on a way to be made. Say it when you're waiting for a new blessing. It's the third quarter of 2026 and I believe by faith God sees you, God feels you, God is working for you and God's gonna serve you because God.
