Getting Comfortable with the Uncomfortable

Comfort itself is not a bad thing. God designed rest, security, and peace for our good. But when our desire for comfort becomes greater than our desire to follow Jesus, it turns into an idol. We naturally resist discomfort—whether physical, emotional, or spiritual—but the call of Christ is not to a life of ease. It’s a call to surrender, sacrifice, and trust.

Jesus never promised a comfortable life. He warned that following Him would cost us everything (Luke 9:57-62). Yet, we often try to shape our faith around what feels safe and familiar, avoiding risks, hard conversations, and difficult obedience. When we cling to comfort, we resist growth.

Join Kristi, Pat, Sheridan, and special guest Lauren Everett as they discuss getting comfortable with the uncomfortable.
