good people what's going on happy a.m. this is mornings with Miko today let me just delve right in I I'm fresh off of a conversation that I had really just you know catching up and just talking life and talking and I'm very familiar with his story this is you know this is a regular discipline of ours when we kind of connect and just on to share how God is you know what God is doing in our lives as a recent and today he kind of summarized some of his walk at least up into this point and these three different categories that really you know kind of um I don't know they sat with me and he shared how you know in the beginning his walk was about sanctification and and that's still the case right for all of us but it was more so him growing closer to God his his his growing closer to God was ideally primarily just around him just like cleaning up some of the sin in his life some of the things he was doing you know just overindulging and drinking and things like that and just you know more so just becoming a better person that's good that's kind of like how the beginning of at least this leg of his walk like that's that's like what the beginning of it was and then from there say they kind of shifted into this posture of like curiosity where it was like okay I'm cleaning up my life I'm going to church I'm doing things you know according to how the scripture says you know going in you know growing on dying to flesh things of that nature doing away with some of the obvious sin in his life but then it kind of shifted into this posture of curiosity like okay now who is this God that I'm doing all of this for or who are you you know what I mean and it was this this it was him leaning into that like that curiosity to like now let me spend time with you in your word and really kind of get to know you and who you are and your nature and things are like you know and and from there you know as he continued to delve into that curiosity and getting to know God it shifted to this posture of necessity he says where it's now it's like okay now I've gotten to know God and I'm spending time with God and now I'm seeing like the fruit of that and I'm recognizing how like much my life needs that and how much I recognize when I'm not leaning into him and spending time with him I

can recognize like the the effect that it has you know in marriage and just how short he is with work things like that and you realize like this is no longer me spending time with God it's no longer a matter of just like checking a box it's like no God I need this I need to spend time with you I need this relationship with you in order for the rest of these areas of my life to be well and I love just even how he kind of like you know in his own awareness self-awareness he was able to like recognize those things and then call those things out right the sanctification process the curiosity that led to you know deeper relationship and then that which opened his eyes to the necessity that he has for the relationship with God and how that impacts every other area of his life and one of the things I share with him is how like that's not even exclusive to you like that's literally that's all of us right and it's funny how some in some cases even if we word it differently we all at some point are going to touch those three categories and for some it may not even be in that order for some it may simply be I was curious about God and began to learn about him and build into him and then that from that you know that shifted me into this posture of like sanctification like oh as I'm learning about God and I'm you know then shifting to like oh now let me be sanctified as I'm learning about God and I'm believing this then I need to clean up some of these things in my life and then from there you realize like wow I can't do this cleaning up these things in my life on my own I need God in order to grace me to kind of like die to my flesh in other areas or maybe you come to God initially from a posture of needing him maybe you're just in a season where it's like I'm just crying out to okay God you know what I mean I'm just crying out to God and from there that's when you kind of start seeing his hands show up as you're crying out to him and then from there it's like you begin to it kind of firms your belief like oh wow this is this isn't just like random prayer look no God I'm praying to you and you are answering these prayers and then from there that sparks a curiosity which drives you into a deeper relationship with him and pursuing a deeper relationship with him and then from there maybe that revelation causes you to then recognize like i need to really get rid of some of these things in my life if i'm going

to continue in this relationship whatever the case may be i know that last example that that's how kind of i saw it had to play out for my son and it's it's it's just i i love just seeing um just how whatever role god has any of us on right like it's our walk the the cadence is going to be very similar right like the the principles that we glean and what he's pouring into us and the some of the revelation that we come to it's going to be very similar throughout for all of us so it's like even as someone is sharing that story and he you know does what he does for a living and he's living you know in a different he can live in a different country or whatever that's still going to be very similar to what your walk or my walk or anyone's walk will look like we're all going to have these postures of of um like recognizing like our need for him right recognizing our need for the relationship me personally like i'm growing deeper and deeper into that where i'm like god like even to like regulate my mind and regulate my moods i need to be tethered to him i need to be tethered to god if i'm if if if i'm not like spending time in my word it shows up in my attitude it shows up in in a number of areas right but that's that is that's me coming to you know coming to terms with like no god i need you for more than just you know to answer some prayers like no lord it's your presence and i think that ideally right is where god wants us to come to this place where we can just no longer seek him for his hand but it's like we just genuinely enjoy his presence we genuinely can bask in his presence we genuinely desire and yearn for his presence right like i love when moses says um in exodus 33 where he says lord don't send us from this place if you won't come with us like don't don't send us into the promised land because that's where he was headed he's like no god don't send us into the promised land unless you come with us it's your presence that i need lord it's your presence that's going to be the difference maker that's what is going to set us apart from other people and whatever life we live whatever that looks like whether you're in board rooms whether you're day daycare teachers whether you know whatever the case may be right like whether you you're a co whether you whatever it does not matter like it's his presence it's his presence with us it's his presence in us that sets us apart from um the rest of the world so just wanted to share that with y'all today man i just found that very fruitful for me um as i was talking to my partner and and i found it just very like it applies to all of us it applies to you it applies to me it applies to all of us none of us graduate from sanctification none of us need god less than the rest of us and it's a blessing to me for our curiosity you know to me for us to in for us to indulge that that cure that curiosity

that we have um that pulls us closer to god whatever he uses to pull you closer to him like that's a blessing so um i pray for your curiosity i pray and and and ask god to to anoint your curiosity that it that it sparks something in you that draws you nearer to him or that causes you to want to pursue him and whether it's his you know whether it's his heart his mind whatever aspect of him ultimately that you end up in a place where you just um where you find so much gratification just in his presence um so yeah that's that's that's what i wanted to share with y'all today man so take that um of course as always take it in prayer lord okay i heard this this is what stood out take you know whatever whatever sentence or words stood out take that in prayer to jesus and ask god like lord what are you speaking to me in this what is my next step how are you revealing yourself to me in this you know all right y'all have a blessed one
