Finding God’s Will in God’s Word | Abide Series Week 4

Welcome to week four of our series, Abide, where we are finding depth, direction, and delight in being with God. And this whole series is designed to help you find that connection with God. I put a goal of this series to help you connect with Jesus daily. I want you daily connecting with him, finding depth in his word, direction from his spirit, and delight in walking in obedience. And this is so significant for your life that you would learn to lean into this life of being with God in a real way. John 15 says, "'Abide in me, and I in you, "'as a branch cannot bear fruit by itself "'unless it,' does what? "'Abides.'" This word abide means to dwell, to remain, to stay. There's something about being with Jesus. He says, "'Abides in the vine, "'neither can you unless you abide in me.'" And then Jesus tells us, "'I am the vine, you are the branches. "'Whoever abides in me and I in him, "'he bears much fruit.'" I don't know about you, I want much fruit with my life. I wanna stay and live a life that truly makes a lasting impact.

And then he says this very crucial phrase. He says, "'Apart from me, "'you can do some really good things.'" Is that what he says? No, he says, "'Apart from me, you can do nothing.'" Hear me out. Nothing significant you're gonna do in your life is gonna be done apart from Christ. You've gotta learn how to be with him, dwell with him. So we talked about in week one of how you were created to connect with God. Week two, we talked about how you were created to have a fruitful life and how to make that happen in your life. And then last week, we talked about seeing Jesus clearly. And today, we're gonna take it the next level in your life. Over these next few weeks, we are gonna help you figure out how to know God's will as you abide in Christ. These next few weeks could be the most crucial weeks of your life. So I want you to make sure you lean into this because everybody wants to know God's will. I mean, you're trying to make decisions today. Do you go to college or do you just get a job? If you do go to college, do you go to USF or do you go to UT? What do you do? I don't know. Like, you gotta figure it out.

Do you become a teacher? Do you become a nurse? Do you date Mike or do you date Greg? I mean, that's the decision. Be careful. Guys like that, you don't know, all right? Do you get a dog or do you get a cat? It's clear. At Radiant Church, we get a dog. Thank you, thank you. This is our culture here. That's funny right there. You wanna know what God's will is. And over the next few weeks, we're gonna help you learn how to abide, how to connect, how to be in God's will. And we're gonna start in week four of this series by helping you finding God's will in God's word. Finding God's will in God's word. The clearest way you will ever know God's will is through his word. And my goal over these next few minutes is to inspire you to have a great love for the word of God. These would not just be words on a page, but would be something that would transform your life. I'm not sure if you've had this moment where you've been in Ikea and you've looked at a piece of furniture and you said, okay, I want that piece of furniture.

They put it up there and they go, oh, I can have that. So then you go to the next part and you're like, oh, I'm gonna go pick up that piece of furniture. But it doesn't look like that. It looks like that right there. And you go, I just don't understand. That's not what I saw back there. But if that's what it takes, then you go home. And how many know how miserable it is when you open up that box at home? The average Ikea piece of furniture has 2,200 pieces in it. 47 screws, one tiny Allen wrench. And you're gonna dedicate the next four plus hours of your life developing patience in your life as you put this thing together. I don't know if you've ever had that moment where you've tried to put it together without the manual. It doesn't work. All men have had that moment where we go, I can do it better. And then you start to put it together and it starts to fall apart. It doesn't work without the manual. Hear me out. Your life is the same. God has a beautiful, amazing plan for your life. There is purpose. There is destiny. There is beautiful relationships for you to have.

There is a calling on your life. And you will never get there without the manual that he has given us to walk into the calling of God, which is the word of God. Hear me out. The Bible is God's instruction manual for your life. It is complex because you are complex and because God is complex. And it's not created to frustrate. you it is created to form you into the call of God for your life and it's not just rules for you to follow it's revelation for you to live by so that you can walk into God's design for your life so that you can eventually walk into the ultimate will of God for your life he has not left you without a plan his plan is written out clearly in his word but you have to understand this you will never know God's will if you ignore God's Word and everybody wants to know what God wants them to do with their life and he's made it very clear in his word the Bible isn't boring it's not outdated it's not irrelevant it's challenging and it's applicable and when you learn to open it and study it and live by it it'll be a blueprint to the abundant life that God has for you it's there anybody that's grateful for the Word of God the psalmist gives us a beautiful picture of God's Word Psalm 119 he says how sweet are your words to my taste sweeter than honey to my mouth that's my desire for you is that as you get into God's Word it's sweeter than honey for your life he says I gain understanding from your precepts therefore I hate every wrong path I know what God wants me to do so I hate the paths of the world he says your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path what a what an unbelievable picture to show us how God's Word works in our life the Bible describes God's Word as a lamp unto my feet he doesn't say it's some floodlight for your future here's why because the world is dark it's dark there's moments you don't know what to do next and if I'm not careful I can walk right off the stage and embarrass

myself and become viral so what we do is we say God I want you to light up the path and we think this is what it looks like oh now I can see everything clearly God lit up the path I know what to do but that's not what the word says the word says it is a lamp unto my feet so when the world is dark and you don't know what to do the Bible tells us he's given us a lamp unto our feet this is exactly what the Bible was talking about in Psalms where he says it is a lamp it guides not all the steps I'm supposed to take it guides my next step so when I wake up and I read God's Word it gives me the next step of what I'm supposed to do the next character that I need to develop in my life the next issue I need to work out in my life I wish I wish it showed me the future it doesn't and I wish I could just live off of what I learned yesterday I can't I gotta have God's Word in my life daily and as I open his Word daily he's guiding by steps so that I can walk into the purpose of God for my life and if you live according to the Word of God you'll walk into the purposes of God for your life can I hear a good amen today church hear me out because this is why it's in crucial for your life you take that one thank you so much because God's Word isn't meant to answer every question about the future but it is meant to give you guidance for today and I want to help you understand how his Word will speak to you today Matthew chapter 4 says it is written that man should not live by bread alone but on every word that comes out of the mouth of God we're supposed to live on the words of God like we live on food now how about you I love some food anybody love food in the house come on we love food I love it I love it and here's what I've realized about a meal every meal you have is significant and important but not every meal is memorable lean into this like if I asked you what you had for lunch three days ago you might not remember you might not remember I mean made a sandwich or something but it was necessary to give you the nutrients for you to keep going throughout the day does that make sense now I went to Burns I remember that get a good steak let me tell you it's amazing it's a memorable experience but you can't live off of the memorable moments you can't go I'm not gonna eat unless it's a memorable Burns

experience now some of you South Tampa people are like that okay little bougie all right that that's not reality reality is is every meal is equally important does that make sense even if it's not memorable it's the same with the Word of God there are some days that it's like a Burns experience and you're eating it and you're going wow this is changing my life there's other days that you're just It's in the discipline of it, and you don't even know it, but it's nourishing your life and bringing you into the call of God for your life. So we don't read it because we feel it, we read it because it transforms us even when we don't feel it. Psalm 1 says it this way, blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked, or stand in the way of sinners, or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord. I pray this over you, and we're gonna have a moment at the end of this sermon where we pray over you that you would have a delight in the law of the Lord, that you would crave the word of God. He says who meditates on it day and night. That person, a person who loves the word of God, is like a tree who's planted by streams of water. It yields fruit in season, and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever they do, guess what happens? They, come on, let's say it out loud. Whatever they do, they what? I want that for my life.

I want it with my marriage. I want it with my children. I want it in every area of my life, my finances. I want everything I do to prosper. How do I live a life that prosper? I love the word of God. It'll change your life. Now hear me out, this is so important, because if you open God's word, it will speak to you. There are people that say I never hear from God. Those are people who don't read their Bibles. Because if you read your Bible, it is God speaking to us. So if you want a word from God, go to the word of God. People are going, I need a word from God. I'm like, there are 725,000 of them in this book. And there's a word for your life today. It's 66 books, written over 1,500 years by 40 different authors with one central message focused on Jesus and his plan for your life. God wants to lead and guide your life, and he does it through the word of God. So here's my guarantee for your life. If you will open your Bible daily, it will feed your soul, guide your steps, and keep your life aligned with God's will. Okay, we're gonna take a second and write it down, because this is the most important phrase you're gonna hear today. If you will open your Bible daily, so every single day, not just hearing me inspire you

on Sunday, I hope that's awesome, but I'm gonna raise up a church where we are daily committed to the word of God, and it's gonna feed your soul, it's gonna guide your steps, and it's gonna help you walk into God's plan for your life. This has changed my life more than anything else, and I hope over the next few minutes, I give you a strategy, and I give you the tools necessary that you walk away from here, and it'll change the trajectory of your life as you fall in love with God's word. So let me show you how to do it, and I'm gonna give you some very key things, and I think it'll be something that'll help you. Number one, how do we find God's will in his word? First of all, God's will, word, God's word should be read systematically. Systematically. Now, this is important. I'm gonna give you a second to write down the word systematically. Some of y'all are from Polk County, Hernando County, I'm not throwing any shade, I'm just telling you, you might need a little bit of extra time. All right, so. That's funny right there, all right. If you wanna get in shape and you go to the gym, and your strategy at the gym is that you're gonna close your eyes,

you're gonna spin around, and you're gonna point, and whatever machine it points to, that's what you're gonna work out today. How many know that's not gonna work? So one day you point, and it's the bench press, you're gonna go, okay, I'm gonna do that. The other day you point, it's the treadmill, okay? The third day you point, and it's the snack machine. You're like, all right, I'm gonna pray to today's God. It doesn't work. It will not give you a good, balanced strategy if you do it that way. Yet people do that with the Word of God. I know people, all the time, they're like, I want a word from God, and you flip open the Bible, and you're like, okay, God, what do you have to speak to me? That is a terrible way. I heard of this story one time, one guy, he flipped the Bible open. I need a word from God. Matthew 5, 29. If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out. Panic. That can't be it. Flips it open again. Matthew 19, 21. Sell all your possessions, give it to the poor. No, that can't be God's word for my life.

1 Thessalonians 5. 17, pray without ceasing. The guy's sitting there going, I'm gonna walk around, I'm one-eyed, I'm broken, and I'm not gonna be able to sleep for days. This can't be God's plan for my life. What is he doing? He's doing it, studying it without a method. How do we get a method to do it? Let me show you, there is an intentional way of reading God's Word that brings life to you. Here's what you have to understand. The Bible tells us in 2 Timothy 3, 16, all Scripture is God-breathed. Every bit of it, from Genesis to Revelation, all of it is God-breathed, meaning that God was behind it all. And every bit of it is useful. So some of y'all, when you go through your Bible reading plan, you're like, I just don't understand how this is useful. I'm gonna show you how. And it's useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, meaning the more you get into it, it trains you like a gym, how it trains your physical body. The Word of God trains your spirit to be righteous. So how do we do this? Let me give you some systematic ways

to read through the Bible. This is gonna get very teachy for a little bit, and then we're gonna end with a real inspirational moment, all right? First of all, you can read God's Word cover to cover. This is how I do it and how I've done it for about 20-plus years. This is where you read through the whole Bible. And you read it, even though it's 66 books, it's one story, and you read it cover to cover. We challenge the church to do this every year. I know there's thousands of you on the Bible-reading plan right now, and a lot of people start it, a lot of people don't finish it. But I would challenge you to take some time in your life, some time in your life, to read the Bible cover to cover. If you've not done the plan, this is the QR code for the plan that the church is on right now. Now, we're 50-plus days into this plan. We're finishing up the book of Numbers right now. But I wanna challenge you, get into the Bible, where you read it every day, and then find a time to read it cover to cover. It's interesting to me that every Christian would say they believe the Bible cover to cover, but they've never read it cover to cover. So you gotta take some time in your life to read it cover to cover.

It's vitally important. That's one way to study the Word, that's how I do it. Here's a second one, it's called a book study. A book study is different than a cover to cover study. My wife loves this. Now, my wife has read through the Bible cover to cover many, many, many times. But what she's done over the last few years is instead of just reading it cover to cover, she's taken one book and gone really, really, really deep into it. So maybe it's the book of Hebrews or the book of Philippians or whatever it is, and you're gonna find one of those books. And my wife will take a whole year to go through a book. And she'll find commentaries and she'll dissect all the verses in it. You find a book study. There's so many practices to do this and Bible studies to help you do this. It's vitally important. Another way of doing it is called a word study. So maybe it's not cover to cover, maybe it's not even a book. Maybe you're taking a word that is a word that is relevant to your life at that moment or something you're dealing with. Let's say you're dealing with, well, you need peace in your life. So you'd research peace throughout the Scriptures.

Or maybe you wanna study a different word that is a theme throughout the Scripture. You're gonna do this. Now, the app I use to do this, which has been a game changer for me, it's still an app I use to help study the Scriptures. It's called the Blue Letter Bible app. And if you don't have it, I want you to download it today. It helps me with word study. If you ever see me kinda dissect a word from the stage and say, here's the original meaning, here's the definition, I get all of that from the Blue Letter Bible app. So let's imagine that you were trying to research the word integrity. So I would open the Blue Letter Bible app and I'd write out integrity. Well, what's gonna pop up is all the Scriptures in the Bible that mention integrity. And I'm gonna look, and as the Holy Spirit's gonna guide me, I'm gonna see if some of these passages are gonna highlight in my life. Then I go to this thing called lexicon. The lexicon is gonna show me the Hebrew word. It's gonna help me pronounce it, which is why I don't do it from the stage, because I blow that really bad, mess that up. And then it's gonna show me the definition of it. It's gonna give me the strong concordance of it.

And that's gonna help me study deep that word. So this is another way of learning God's word. Hear me out. Whether it's through cover-to-cover study, whether it's through a book study or through a word study, find a way in your life to read God's word systematically. Number two, you gotta read God's word slowly. God's word should be read slowly. Now this is tough for me because I like to do everything fast. I live life fast. And when you think of abiding, I want you to think of the idea that abiding means remaining, not rushing. Remaining, not rushing. So many people go through God's word so fast that they miss what God wants to do in their life. You cannot microwave revelation from God. You cannot drive on 275 with chaos of traffic, listening to the Bible app on a 1.5 speed and wonder, why doesn't God speak to me? Because God's word is meant to be sat in, dwelt on, where you really abiding in, and as you are abiding in God's word, you're actually abiding in Christ. People go, I want to encounter Christ. How do you encounter Christ? You encounter him through his word. That's why the Bible says you gotta be still and know that I am God. What does this mean? You gotta slow down enough to let God speak to you through his word. If what you're reading is difficult, good. That means you should slow down a little bit more, study it a little bit deeper,

and watch how God'll speak through your life. He wants to speak to you, but you gotta slow down enough to let him speak where you can actually hear it. Listen, the goal of your daily Bible reading is for God to reveal truth that changes your life. It's not so that you check a box. It's so that you are truly transformed from the inside out. The Bible tells us in John eight, he says, if you continue in my word, notice that word continue. That's that word abide, dwell, connect, stay, remain, that's that word. If you continue in my word, you are truly my disciples. Then here's what you will do. You will know the truth. This is truth right here. Culture doesn't have truth to offer you. TikTok doesn't have truth to offer you. This is God's truth. So you gotta continue in it. You gotta remain in it, and as you know the truth, the truth will set you free. Come on, we all wanna be set free. How do we get set free? We get in truth. How do we know God's truth? We get into his word. This strategy works all throughout the scripture. Here's what it is.

It always starts with God's word. So we start with the word of God. I'm in the word of God. I'm systematically reading it. I'm slowly reading it, and what I'm looking for in God's word is I'm looking for God's way of doing stuff. God has a way of doing stuff. He has a way that's different than the ways of the world. So I wanna learn the ways of God. We know the ways of culture, and they fail. I want to know the ways of God. And then as you're in God's word and you learn God's way, you'll walk into God's will. Y'all with me today, church? Everybody goes, I want God's will. How do you get it? You learn God's way. How do you know God's way? You're getting to God's word. And as I know the word of God, I'll know the ways of God, and I'll walk into the will of God. It's proven, it's fail-proof, and I'm telling you, it's possible for your life. So when I'm reading God's word, let me get very practical with you. When I'm reading God's word, I'm asking myself some questions. I'm asking questions like, what is God teaching me about his character? Remember, he's the central focus of the book, not me.

He's the star of the book, not me. So I'm looking and you're going, what am I learning today about the character of God? And then I make it very personal. I go, now, what is God challenging me about my character? So what is off in my life? Maybe it's how I talk to my spouse or how I'm raising my kids or how I dealt with conflict. God, what are you challenging me about my character? And then the third thing is, how are you leading me in my season? Whatever season I'm in. Maybe I'm in a season of turmoil and I'm looking at the promises of God. You know, there's 3,000 promises of God for your life in the scriptures. So what I'm doing is I'm looking in that going, God, what promise that you have given us in the scriptures is applicable to my life today? How are you leading me in my life today? So the way I do this practically over the next couple minutes, let me just show you what I do every single day. What I do to read God's word is I do what's called the soap method. Soap method is I'm finding a scripture that God's speaking to me through, an observation of that scripture, an application, and a prayer. Now, before I even get into the word,

I always pray the same prayer. Prayer that comes out of first samuel where he speaks and he says lord speak Your servant is listening So as i'm pausing in the morning, I have my prayer time I have god's word before I even open it. I say lord speak your servant is listening I know you have a word for my life today, by the way, he's got something for your life today Because he knows what you're gonna face. So you want to start your day with god. This is what abiding is So I start with lord speak your servant is listening and then I open the bible and I do it through my bible app And on the bible app as i'm reading through the bible cover to cover like I do I would start with the bible app and as I open the bible app, I would get to the day So this is last week's one and I I read through psalm 42 and as I read through psalm 42 Verse 5 and verse 6 jumped off the page to me So I highlight it and then I get that and I go that's going to be my soap of the day Let me show you what this means So then I would go to my notes app and I do this every single day and I write out psalm 42 Verse 5 and 6 why my soul are you downcast? Why so disturbed with me? Put your hope in god yet. I will praise him my savior and my god. My soul is downcast within me Therefore I remember you from the land of the jordan. So i'm writing this out As I i'm going this is what god's speaking to me about today and every day i'm finding Something from my bible reading plan that I can highlight Then I write observation observation is the context of the passage what is happening? So the other day I wrote this one out david's in a deep pit of despair He's in a place where there's so much going wrong He could have stayed in this dark season, but he makes this crucial decision despite his turmoil. He turns to god and he tells himself Put your hope in god And then I said this is crazy This is an active decision not to stay in the slum but to remember the lord and call out to him He chose praise and worship instead of being led by his feelings and his situation That's what I wrote that day. And then I write what is most important to my life, which is how am I applying this? So I wrote out the application. Well, this was my application the other day. It's gonna get a little personal but hey

We're all family here. Let's do this I said I need this kind of drive I usually let my emotions or my surroundings dictate my mood and that's a fail I'm going to start practicing the phrase aaron Put your hope in god It's a decision to tell myself not to stay in the slump or in a dark place But to give god praise despite what I feel And then I wrote in there even last week. I came out of a difficult meeting and it ruined the rest of my day That shouldn't be the case. I can control my emotions by putting my attention back on god and who he is That is what david did and that's what i'm gonna apply to my life today I do this every morning and then I go to a time of prayer and I write out my prayer lord I'm putting my hope in you today And I try to make my prayer personal this is what i'm going to do I don't want my any part of my family my life my ministry to stay in a dark place Help me by your spirit put my hope in you And then I complete it and then by the end of the time it looks like this where I have all of them together Um put that next slide up there and then as I have all of them up there Then this is my notes every single day By the way, it's been about four years since christmas eve four years ago that i've missed a day doing this That shows you how important it is to my life and that was christmas eve so don't give me a hard time All right. I was preaching all day But that's every morning for me whether i'm traveling doesn't matter what i'm doing This has been a life changer for me. That means every year. There's 365 Applications of god's word i'm getting to my life and that's how you get transformed into the image of christ Y'all with me today church. So everybody's like I want a word from god. I'm like I got one this morning Because every day i'm opening god's word and letting him speak to my life If you've never practiced this we have a five-day entry to the bible soap plan for your life This has actually gone live on you version the bible app So this is a global plan that I wrote that is available for your life It's actually in your book to help you this week to apply what you're learning

So that you can do a soap every single day and my challenge for you is that every single person There's thousands and thousands of you guys across the tampa bay area that every single one of you for the next five days Would do a soap every single morning and watch how god will speak to your life now If you're in the bible reading plan do your soap off of your normal bible reading plan But if you're not starting john 15 with our passage today and watch how god will speak to you Give you application and have something for your life that day. There's so many phones out So i'm going to give it just a few more seconds and we're almost done Y'all with me today church Love it. Love it. Love it do this. You can find this plan We'll put it on social media today too so that everybody can follow along y'all with me today Let's finish it up with number four number three Maybe there's number four two. We'll see we'll have a good time today Number three god's word should be read with a surrendered heart So it needs to be read systematically so you need a plan slow down journal it out, and then do it with a surrendered heart. Well, I read the Bible. I just didn't let it, nothing changed my life. Well, did you read it with the right heart? Let me just say it this way. You can read the Bible and not be changed. I mean, atheists read the Bible, and they're not changed. You can read the Bible with a critical spirit and not be changed. The demons in hell know God's word, and they're not changed. It's not about reading the Bible. It's about reading the Bible with the right heart, with a surrendered spirit, not with a task to be completed, but the assignment to say, God, I'm opening your word, and I'm opening my heart to let you transform me.

Write it down in your notes this way. Don't read the Bible to complete a task. Read it to be transformed. And if you open the word of God this week, and if you open it with the right heart, and you posture your heart to hear from God, God will speak to you through his word. And when he speaks to you now, the ball's in your court, because the way you're transformed is not by information, but by application. We do not just hear the words of God. We apply it to our life. That's why James 1 says, do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves, but do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word, but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at their face in the mirror, and after looking at himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what he looks like. How crazy would that be? It says it's the same with your life. But whoever intently looks at the perfect law that gives freedom and continues in it, not forgetting what they've heard, but doing it, they will be blessed in what they do. I don't know about you, I'm gonna be blessed in what I do. How do I get blessed in what I do? I read the word, and I apply it to my life. I do not change the word to fit my life.

I do not change the word to fit the culture. I do not change the word to help with the audience I'm in. I bend my life according to the word of God, and as I do it according to the word of God, he changes me from the inside out, and I become who God's called me to be, because I'm living according to his word that'll transform our life. Can I hear a good amen today, church? It's like sunscreen. You know, if you go to the beach, have some sunscreen, put some little sunscreen on. I know, like South Tampa, that's like controversial. It's gotta be mineral-free, right, whatever. But imagine this, okay? Imagine you go to the beach, and you're all burned up, and they're like, well, where's your sunscreen? You're like, oh, I own some. Well, where's it at? Oh, it's somewhere at home. My mom has some somewhere. It doesn't work unless you apply it. Y'all with me? It's the same with the word of God. It's like there's areas of life that you're gonna be under attack, and you're gonna go, well, where's the word of God? Well, I own one. I heard something a few weeks ago at Radiant, but it doesn't work for your life until you apply it.

Well, my mama owns one. My mom applies it. It doesn't affect your life until you apply it yourself. Learn to be someone that applies the word of God, and watch how it'll change your life. May us all, may we all live with such a hunger and craving for the word of God that changes you. I'm grateful that we get preached the word of God every week, but may we be a church that every day you're finding revelation from God for your life because you, as a believer filled with the Holy Spirit, can open the word of God, the word that people have died to protect, the word that is so alive and active as it changes your life. It will change your family. It'll change how you live. It'll change your character as you read it and you apply it. Can we thank God for his word that he's given us across Tampa Bay, amen? I would, it would be a miss for me to not say this, that if you read the Bible and you don't see Jesus, you're missing the point of the Bible. The Bible is not 66 disconnected books. It is one story with Jesus at the center of it. You're not the center of the Bible. You're not the focus of the story. Jesus is, and we see him all throughout the scriptures. It is your job to read the Bible.

It is your job to see Jesus in it. In Genesis, as you look at Adam, you realize Jesus is the better Adam. The first Adam failed in the garden, but Jesus succeeded in the garden. He's the promised seed who would crush the serpents. head we look at it in the book of exodus that he is our passover lamb the spotless lamb that saves a household in the wilderness we see that he is the bronze servant serpent that was lifted up anyone who looked to him would live and as you look to jesus you will live as we see it in the book of leviticus he's our high priest he's the one that that they were bringing their blood of animals for the sacrifice but he brought his own blood as our sacrifice he's our jesus and ruth we see him as the kinsman redeemer in the life of david we see him as the better champion david defeated goliath so that israel wouldn't have to have to and jesus conquered death sin and satan so that you wouldn't have to that's who we see i could go book after book let me just give you a couple more in psalms and isaiah we see him as the suffering servant he was pierced and crushed and forsaken hundreds of years before the cross ever existed he was prophesied all about jesus and daniel we see him as the fourth man in the fire that no matter what you're going through we see that he's in the fire with you and then at the end of the book in the book of revelations we see him as a lamb that was slain we see him as the conquering king who reigns from beginning to end the alpha and the omega he's our jesus and this is what the book is all about and if you want to know jesus know his book because it's all about him
