hands lifted all over this room. Can we just wait on him for just a moment? I feel strength rising in the room as we wait on his presence. He's refreshing you. He's restoring you. He's renewing you. As you wait. In this moment, could you just push away every distraction? Every need to know what's going to happen next. Could you push away your need to know how God's going to move? With our hands lifted, we just say, God, have your way. God, do whatever you want to do. Move however you want to move. But we will wait on you. I don't want to be where God was. I want to be where God is. And so as I wait on God, I get direction. God, we just rest in your stillness. Sometimes he just comes like a still, small voice. When we wait, we can hear him. Thank you, God. Thank you for being in the room. God, thank you for showing up. God, we thank you for your presence. What a privilege and an honor it is for us to host the presence of God. God, our prayer today is that you would let your glory fill the room. Let your glory fill the rooms of those who are watching. God, that we would sense your presence. God, that we would sense your nearness. God, let us become more aware of your presence.

Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. When the glory is in the room, anything can happen. When the glory is in the room, bodies can get healed before we even open up the altars. When the glory is in the room, he can fix things on your behalf. When the glory is in the room, anything can happen. Anything can happen. Anything can happen. Thank you, Jesus. He's here. We're hosting his presence. He's here. He's here. He's here. Would you host his presence? Would you invite him in? Would you invite him into your heart? Would you invite him in? God, you're welcome. There is no man who was slain and seated on a throne. There's no one like the Lord. And now does creatures bow, giving praise to Him in Him alone. There's no one like the Lord. The worthy is the man who was slain and seated on a throne. There's no one like the Lord. There is no man who was slain and seated on a throne. Giving praise to Him in Him alone. There's no one like the Lord. Elders and creatures bow. Elders, creatures bow. Giving praise to Him in Him alone. There's no one like the Lord. So we crown you King of glory. We crown you Lord of all. God, right now in this moment we dethrone anything that has tried to take your place. God, we dethrone every idol. Father, we dethrone every ideology, every thought pattern, every thinking. We dethrone it, we cast it down right now and we elevate the name of Jesus. The King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, the Lion of Judah, the Lily of the Valley. We honor you, Jesus. We put you in your rightful place. We give you glory. We give you honor. And we give you praise. In Jesus' name, amen and amen. Come on, can we celebrate the King of glory? Could you make it real loud in here? Could you celebrate the King of glory? Could you celebrate the King of glory? Come on, come on. He enters into the places that he is welcome. And the way that you welcome the King of glory is through your praise. The way that you welcome the King of glory is through your sound. And Father, we welcome you in. We welcome you in. We welcome you in. We welcome you in. Oh, it's at the train of Israel.

Feel the temple, the glory of God. Feel the temple, the glory of the Lord. The Lord is in the room. His glory is in the room. We acknowledge your presence, Jesus. We thank you. Glory rests on us. Hallelujah. Let your glory rest on us, God. Let your glory rest on us. Let your glory rest on us, Jesus. Let your spirit rest on us. Let it rest in this room. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. The psalmist said, I was glad when they said unto me, let us go into the house of the Lord. Let us go into the house of the Lord. Let us go into the house of the Lord. Let us go into the house of the Lord. And I'm glad that I get to be in this house today. I'm thankful for pastors and leaders who host the presence of God and who honor the word and honor the scriptures. I believe that you've got some of the best pastors in the world and pastors. Pastor Darrius and Pastor Shamika, we thank god for their life and leadership. Truly, I love this church. Whenever I'm

done with church, I'll watch your church. And I'm grateful. Anybody came to hear a word from the lord? You could remain standing for the reading of the word. I'm going to be reading psalm 150. It says, praise the lord. Praise god in his sanctuary. Praise him in his mighty heavens. Praise him for his acts of power. Praise him for his surpassing greatness. Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet. Praise him with the harp and the lyre. Praise him with timbrel and dancing. Praise him with the strings and pipe. Praise him with the clash of cymbals. Praise him with resounding cymbals. Let's say verse six together. Let everything that has breath. Praise the lord. Praise the lord. Come on, why don't you go ahead and do it with the clapping of your hands and with the sound of your voice. Would you give your great god a great praise? Come on, I think you could do a

little bit better than that. The bible said, let everything that has breath, praise ye the lord. Come on, we're just following instruction. We're just following the command. It said, let everything that has breath, praise ye the lord. And so somebody shout real loud, hallelujah. Somebody shout hallelujah. Shout hallelujah. You can be seated all over the room for the next few moments. I want to talk to you from this thought, everything. Hallelujah. I want to explore the final chapter in the book of Psalms. The book of Psalms is a collection of 150 ancient Hebrew poems, songs, and prayers. King David is attributed to writing 73 of the 150 Psalms. What's so fascinating about David is that he processed everything through song. If he sinned, he wrote a song. If he won a battle, he wrote a song. If he was angry, he wrote a song. If he had joy, he wrote a song. David was like

those friends who got a song for everything. Anybody got one of those people that they just got a song for everything? They could break out into a musical at any moment. I was talking to my friend the other day. She's like, what are you doing this weekend? I was like, oh, well, I'm thinking about going to West Palm Beach. And she's like, West Philadelphia, born and raised. I'm like, listen, every conversation don't got to be a concert. But David was like this, like everything that he went through, the people that he encountered, it all turned into a song. If you mess with David, he was going to write a diss track. But I really love that David was real and he was raw with his emotions. And through the Psalms, we don't just get to see King David or the giant slayer David. We get to see the man David. We get to see his emotions. We get to see his failures. We get to see his heartbreak. We get to see the

totality of who he is. And David, when you read the Psalms, it's not really what you would expect for a man at the God's own heart, because his emotions were kind of complicated. In one moment, David could be writing, the Lord is my shepherd. I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures. He restores my soul. And then in the next Psalm, he's like, break the teeth in they mouth, God. Psalm 109, he says, may they wives be widows. May their children be fatherless. I'm like, David, are you okay? Are you all right at home? What's going on? But I believe what the Psalm teaches us is that we can approach God honestly. The Psalms are a blueprint to how to approach God, because I don't always feel like showing up. I don't always feel like coming to church. I don't always feel like being generous. I don't always feel like being kind. There's some times where I'm just like, Lord, I don't even want to be

here. But God wants to hear not just your wins. He wants to talk about your failures and your weak moments. We can be honest with God. That we can talk to God about anything. God is not intimidated by your emotions. He's not threatened by your frustrations. I think the Psalms, they give us permission to come to God, no matter what we're facing and no matter what we are going through. We are not meant to come to God all perfect. We do not need to come to God with everything figured out. He is not looking for robots to worship Him. He does not need your chat GPT praise, the one that's perfected, polished, manipulated, photoshopped. He wants who you are honestly. He wants every part of you. He wants every season of your life. This is why the psalmist writes, I will bless the Lord at all times and His praise shall continually be in my mouth. I knew I was coming to change church, so I made sure that I studied. I looked up the word all in the Greek. Do you know what all in the Greek means? All. And so when the psalmist says that I will bless the Lord at all times, he's saying that I'll bless God on the mountaintop and in the valley. I'll bless Him when things go right. I'll bless Him when things go wrong. I love what the songwriter says that I vow to praise you through the good and the bad. I'll praise you whether happy or sad.

Why? Because praise is what I do. We have to learn to have that kind of resilience that God, I'll praise you through everything. I believe this is why the psalms goes through all of these wide ranges of emotions. You see lament. You see grief, repentance, anger, doubt, fear, joy, thanksgiving. The psalms truly captures the human condition. We never just feel one emotion. It really brings together what we can feel in a lifetime. And yet after 150 psalms, it does not end with sorrow or lament or grief. The book of psalms ends with one final word, hallelujah. The book of psalms, it concludes with five psalms that are called the poems of praise. Each one of these psalms, they begin and they end with hallelujah. Now this word hallelujah is a combination of two Hebrew words, hallel, which means to praise, to boast, to celebrate, to extol, and Yah is the name, Yahweh, Jehovah. And so in Hebrew, this word hallelujah is a command to praise Yahweh. It's not just a transitional phrase, but it is truly encapsulated what we should do. It is a command. Sometimes we got to command our soul to praise the Lord. Sometimes we got to remind ourselves that we've got to praise the Lord. So from Psalm 146 to Psalm 150, we can answer every question about praise. The who, the what, the where, the when, the why, and the how. Who should praise? Everyone. The psalmist says let everything that has breath praise the Lord. I grew up Pentecostal at a small Haitian church in Brooklyn, New York, and when the praise got good, we'd run around that place. We had tambourines, we had flags, you name it, we knew how to praise. But people often think that praise is just relegated to the Pentecostals, that we think that praise is a denominational thing, but praise has nothing to do with our denomination

or your background or where you came from or what kind of church that you went to. No, praise is a command for each and every person that has breath in their body. So that means that if you are breathing today, you can praise God. I love that the psalmist said let everything that has breath. He didn't say everyone. He said let everything that has breath praise the Lord. All of creation praises God. The sun, the moon, the stars, the wind, the waves, the animals, everything praises God. And so why would we be silent if everything has been created to give God glory? All of creation is to give God glory. Why did He create you? So that you would praise Him. This is the design. We are created to worship and so we are all called to praise. It's not just. for one people group. It is for all of us to praise. And what should you praise God for? Everything. You might be wondering, well, how do I praise God for everything? I just lost my job. Well, God, I thank you in advance for the new one. You might be asking yourself, I just went through a breakup. How do I thank God? Lord, I thank you for taking me out of that toxic relationship. And I thank you for where you're getting ready to take me. God, I just lost a loved one. I don't know what to do, but I can thank you because your word says that you are near to the brokenhearted. And so even in my grief, I can thank you because your promises, you'll never leave me nor forsake me. You said that you would always be with me so I can find a reason to praise in everything. Give me a scenario and I'll give you a reason to praise. I can praise him in everything. Things don't got to look good for me to praise him. Things don't got to be all right for me to praise him. I don't need to have enough money in the bank to praise him. I've got to get a resolve in my spirit. I praise God for everything in every season, for every valley, for every mountain. I praise him for everything. Somebody shout hallelujah. Everything, everything, everything. I praise God for everything. And where should you praise? Everywhere. Y'all just preaching my message. Y'all already know

because we are not just designed to praise God when church is in session. You do know you can praise God outside of this building. He says praise him in his sanctuary. Praise him in his mighty heavens. So I could praise him at work. I could praise him at school. I could praise him on a run. I could praise him at the gym. I can praise him everywhere. Who, what, where, when, why? Why should you praise him? Because he's God. I praise him because he's worthy. I don't just praise him for what he can do for me. I praise him because he's already done enough. I praise him because he's Alpha. I praise him because he's Omega. I praise him because he's the first and the last. I praise him because he's Jehovah Jireh. I praise him because he's Jehovah Nissi. I praise him because he's Jehovah Rapha. I praise him because he is Yahweh, Yeshua, Jesus, the mighty God, the king of kings, the Lord of lords. I praise him because he is God. I think one of the greatest marks of spiritual maturity is when you praise him, not just for what he can do for you, but you praise him just because of who he is. This is how you know you really grow in your faith because some people can only praise him when their favorite worship leader is singing. Some people only come to church when their pastor is preaching. Some people will only show up if they know they're going to sing my favorite song. But if you've got something that tells you I do not need a circumstance to praise him, I have decided he is worthy of all the glory, of all the honor, and all of the praise. I praise him because he's God. I've heard atheists say thank God. I've heard atheists say hallelujah when things are going good. It's really easy to thank God when things are good. But can you thank him because you know that he is your father? Can you thank him because you've got a relationship with him? Can you thank him because you know him? There is a knowing to God when you truly know who God is. I don't just seek his hand, I seek his heart. I thank him because I know him. Some people don't thank him because you don't know him enough. You haven't spent enough time with him to know him. You know about him. You heard about your mother's God. You heard about your grandmother's God. You don't know him, so that's why you walk into church casual. That's why you walk into church waiting for somebody to bless you. But when you know God, you step into the house of God with your own song. I'll sing a new song unto the Lord. I've gotten my own worship. I've came with my own praise. I've came with my own song. You don't got to pump me up. You don't got to get me excited. I have already decided

to praise him. Because I know who he is if you knew who he was you wouldn't be silent I'm not gonna let a rock cry out for me I'm not gonna let the birds out praise me. I won't let the winds out praise me I won't let you out praise me why because God's been too good. I've got my own relationship with him And so I've got my own praise I don't want to just know about God. I want to know God. I want to know the mysteries of the kingdom I want to know his heart. I want to know his plans. I want to know what he's saying I want to be obedient. God would you lead me? God would you take me where I need to go? When you know him, you can be led by him when you know him I've got to know him for myself I Praise him Because he's God and I know who he has been to me I've got a real personal intimate Relationship with the God of heavens what I love about God is That he is not far off That he is not some distant God that does not care About your life He is the God that comes close He is the God that desires to be known By you. He's not just looking down from heaven Waiting for you to figure it out on your own. He actually wants to participate in your life This is relationship When you have relationship, you know your why Who what where when why how in every way

Psalm 150 says to praise him with trumpets Praise him with harps Praise him with strings Praise him with dancing Praise him with cymbals praise him with loud symbols. The Bible says God is so expansive that one expression could never fully communicate his word And so some praise him with music some praise him with art some praise him with writing some praise him by raising children Some praise him through generosity Your how might not look like mine Because God has uniquely wired you with gifts and with talents to give him praise One genre can't contain him One denomination can't contain him one culture can't contain him one language can't contain him one generation Can't contain him one song can't contain him one sermon can't contain him one service can't contain him one church Contain him God is too big Every tribe every tongue every nation every people God has created diversity in the body of Christ because he's too big to be boxed in We Have to know the who the what the where the wind the why and the how Of praise see I understand this not just in theory but in practice About eight years ago. I was going through one of the hardest seasons of my life. I Was Heading to a trip and it was supposed to be a 24-hour trip to Mexico. I got on the van that was transporting me to The location and about 15 minutes away from our destination the van that I was hit in hit into a bus. I Remember being in and out of consciousness and not knowing what was going on I

was on the side of the road in more pain than I'd ever felt in my life and I Only had enough strength to pray a short prayer. I said God I don't want to die Got transported to a local hospital And they said well you ruptured your spleen you have to go into emergency surgery And all I remember was them cutting the clothes off of me and it was as if the scene went blank. I woke up 10 days later. The doctors had went in and realized that my injuries were more serious than they thought. And so for 10 days I was in a coma as they were doing everything they could to save my life. I woke up still trying to piece together stories and I couldn't understand all that had happened to me, but I woke up with gratitude in my heart. It could have ended another way, but God had different plans. And so I get back to Miami to begin my road to recovery and did a few routine checkups. And I remember going to the doctor and the doctor taking some x-rays. My friend who took my x-ray, she's in the room. She took the x-rays and I saw the look on her face. She pulled my mom and I aside. She said, your back is severely broken. They were doing everything to save your life in Mexico that they missed it and your bones have fused together, but they have fused together incorrectly in one wrong move and you can be paralyzed. I was rushed to the emergency room and as I laid on the hospital bed,

I could feel the weight and the heaviness of depression. I could feel fear. What if I don't make it out? What if I never walk again? There was doubt and fear in the room and I almost gave into it. I thought to myself, everybody would understand if I gave up on God. I've been through so much. I've got every reason to give up. I've got every reason to turn away. I've got every reason to turn in the towel. And then there was another voice that rose up down on the inside of me and it reminded me that I did not have to succumb to the depression, to the anxiety, and to the fear. And I got another option. God spoke to me and said, you can praise your way through this thing. You can praise your way out of this storm. You can praise your way out of this sickness. And so I made a decision in that season. I woke up every morning and I found a reason to praise God. Before I went to bed at night, I found a reason to praise God. I didn't have much, but I said, God, I bless you. I'll give you the glory. I'll give you the honor. I'll give you the praise. And each and every day I would write down small wins.

I walked around a little bit today. I wrote that in my journal. I wrote, I took a shower standing up today. I went to sleep without the help of medication. I would just write down these small wins until every small miracle turned into my victory. Oh. I don't know what you're going through and I don't know what you're facing, but you've got a reason to praise. I don't have to wait until I'm healed to praise God. I don't have to wait until he opens the door for me to worship him. I can praise him right now. I can praise him in the middle of the storm. I can praise him in the middle of the heartbreaker. I can praise him in the middle of the suicidal thoughts. I can praise him. Why the Bible says, let everything that has breath praise the Lord. I will bless the Lord at all times and his praise shall continually be in my mouth. Praise saved my life. I learned a valuable lesson that in sickness, hallelujah. In pain, hallelujah. In doubt, hallelujah. In depression, hallelujah. In the divorce, hallelujah. In the addiction, hallelujah.

In the fear, hallelujah. That I've got to praise no matter what the season. The devil can't take away my hallelujah. He can't take away my praise. In everything I can cry out, in everything I can cry out, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. Come on. I might not know Greek and I might not know Hebrew, but I know how to shout out to God with a voice of triumph. Somebody lift up a shout. Come on raise up a sound, raise up a sound, raise up a sound, raise up a sound, raise up a sound. So when I read the Psalms, I'm not just reading history, I'm reading strategy. I come to tell you that praise is your strategy. You can ask Joshua, he faced the walls of Jericho and God said what I need you to do is walk around those walls six times and then all the seven times, you'll walk around seven times and you're going to shout and the walls will come down. I love it. God didn't say shout when it comes down, he said shout then it will come down. I wish I had a church that knew that with the sound of your voice, oh with the sound of your voice, every wall can come tumbling down, walls that stood in front of your family for years can come tumbling down, it's coming down, it's coming down, every wall of oppression is coming down with your praise, with your sound. Oh my God, hallelujah. Second Chronicles tells a story about a man named Jehoshaphat. There were three armies that were against him and the people of Judah and the instruction that God gives them is to send the worshipers first. It seems like an unusual strategy, God, I'm going into war, he said worship and the Bible tells us that they begin to sing and they begin to praise and the Lord set an ambush upon their enemy. I feel like God is getting ready to ambush every enemy that stood in your way through your worship and through your sound, God is sending, oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, God is sending, the God of angel armies is sending, you back up, you don't walk into that office alone, you've got backup, you're not walking into that battle alone, you've got backup. When I look behind me, I see grace, I see mercy, I see favor, I see the hand of God, I don't walk in this thing alone, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Paul and Silas, Acts 16, the Bible says that they were in prison, they were chained up, doors were locked and it said that at about midnight, they prayed and they praised and they said that suddenly, somebody shout suddenly, suddenly the ground began to shake, I feel a supernatural suddenly getting ready to hit this room and the ground began to shake and the earth began to quake and the Bible says that every chain, oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, every chain was broken and every door was opened. I want to prophesy to you in this room that as you praise, every chain is getting ready to be broken over your life, mental chains, financial chains, physical chains are getting ready to be broken over your life and the doors are swinging wide open, doors of favor, doors of prosperity, doors of opportunity, the doors are wide open and you just got to step into your new season, oh I'm stepping into the favor of God and I'm walking in with praise, I'm walking in with a song, I'm walking in with a sound. For some of you, you got to take this word literally, I felt this all day. It said at midnight, Paul and Silas were praying and they were praising. Some of you are facing opposition that you have been trying thing after thing, strategy after strategy. You fasted, you prayed, you cried, you wept, you told your small group leader, you tried strategy after strategy, can I give you a strategy to try this week? For the next seven days, this is not for everybody, this is for somebody, for the next seven days wake up at midnight, put on change worship, and just begin to give God praise in your house. People might think you're crazy, your roommate might be like, what are you doing? Your husband might be wondering what you're doing, but I've got a strategy of praising this season. I've got to wake up late in the midnight hour and give God praise. I'm going to dance before the Lord, I'm going to sing before the Lord. Why? Because I can't stay in this place any longer. I can't stay chained up any longer. I've got to do what I've got to do to get free.

Somebody shout hallelujah! This is the sound of victory, this is the sound of delivery, say hallelujah! Come on somebody, dance before the Lord, dance your way into your next season, praise hallelujah! Come on your praise is unlocking a generation, your praise is getting your family free. Come on somebody's getting free tonight, come on somebody's walking out of here different. Oh I feel like there's a dance, where are my dancers at, where are my dancers at? I feel like God is releasing something, put some dancers in the room, come on, let's go, hallelujah!
