Defeating Offense

Father, I love you so much. Lord, we all love you so much. And we thank you that we're all just altars that you use for your glory, Father. May what you want to be released to your sheep and your lambs be released through me, Lord. Father, I pray anything that you don't want me to say, you stop it from being said. And anything you want me to say, you will speak through me, Lord. Revelation that will change people's lives and break chains, Lord. We thank you for your anointing, your power, Lord. Thank you, Father, that you're the Lord of harvest. You're the Lord of the harvest, Lord. And you bring everyone here, Lord. It's you, it's your house. And you're pleased that everyone's here. We bless you and we love you in Jesus' name. And we all say together, amen. Hallelujah. Let's get straight into this message, man. It's a good message. I believe it's going to break a lot of chains. We had a pre-service meeting earlier. We have one every Sunday where we, um, it's like, it's kind of like a preview warmup type of thing. Oh my goodness. Wow. That's a lot of, my goodness. Thank you, Lord. Wow. I didn't even see that. Man, you don't have to even go to the witchcraft stores anymore, man. Thank you, Jesus. Who, who brought this up? Who brought up the witchcraft? Where they at? I can't, it was you? You brought all this up? Come up here. I want to talk to you. Come here. What's your name? Darian. Darian Rich. Nice to meet you. So, um, have you been born again yet? I haven't been baptized, but I've been baptized with the Holy Spirit. I've been saved for like eight months now. For eight months now, you've been baptized in the Holy Spirit. Amazing. Just like the house of Cornelius, they were baptized in the Holy Ghost before water. So that's beautiful. You getting baptized tonight in water? Yes. Come on, let's go. Hallelujah. So obviously you were deep in witchcraft. Not too deep. Um, my mother got me into it. Okay. I honestly, most of this is like collection stuff. I wasn't so deep into it. Um, it's just, you know, once I got saved, I was like, yeah, forget this. You don't need it anymore. Exactly. Amen. Yeah. So obviously, you know, and you now know that none of this protects you, the sage, this is sage. It doesn't protect you. You don't need that. It's, you know, I think I'm, Max, we should just be eating sage with chicken, sage chicken, but to burn it, to protect and ward off evil spirits is actually attracting and inviting evil spirits because it's idolatry. The crystals have those too. Yeah. You don't need none of that. The Hampshire, you know, you don't need none of that. These are all the tarot cards and

angels and auras and animal elders and moon, moon analogy. Yeah. It's, it gets, it, it never ends. It's all, it's all new names, but nothing news under the sun. But now, you know, your Lord and savior is Jesus, right? Amen. Come on. Hallelujah. God bless you. And the reason I asked people to come up is because it's a testimony and there's, there's somebody online watching that's going to come to the service and feel comfortable to bring their witchcraft and give it up. And so he can get rid of it and get their freedom and get baptized and all that. It's a, it's a safe place. No judgment zone where you could bring up whatever you want. We've seen cocaine at the altar. We've seen heroin at the altar. We've seen pounds of marijuana at the altar. We've seen bags and bags and bags of witchcraft at the altar over the years. We've seen it all. And people feel comfortable to come here and surrender that stuff and repent. It's an act of repentance and surrender, man, surrender to Jesus. Amen. So yeah, if you're watching online, where's the camera, where's the cameras on me right now? If you're watching online and you want to give something up and you feel scared, fearful, and you don't know what to do, come to the rock. We're not scared. We're not fearful. You bring it here. We're going to get rid of it. We'll pray for you. You'll get your freedom. That stuff cannot protect you. And I want to say this, that stuff has no power when compared to the power of the Holy spirit. It's nothing. It's demonic powers that already lost these spirits, these demonic spirits already lost. When Jesus died on the cross, the Bible says, and it's not just because the Bible says it's the truth. Yes. The Bible is the truth that unadulterated word of God. But I want to, I want y'all to understand that. I don't just say, Oh yeah, the Bible says it so that no, I've experienced it. I've experienced the Bible come alive. where demons that were tormenting me for years got casted out like this, where spirits that were tormenting people I know and love for years get casted out. And they're not, they're not schizophrenic anymore, bipolar or addicted. And they didn't have to go through counseling, even though there's no problem with counseling. There's no problem with that. There's nothing wrong with Christian counseling. But what I'm saying is the power, the anointing of the Holy Spirit breaks chains like this. And that's what God wants to do. That's why Jesus went through what he went through. That's why he was flogged. That's why his body was beaten brutally. We don't even understand the beating that Jesus actually went through. The third of his blood that was poured out. He was flogged all over his body, including the front near his pelvic area. Do you understand

that? Do you understand that it's theologically debated whether or not his right eye, like he was blinded from his right eye from being flogged? We don't understand what Jesus went through. These people were going to town on him. They were beating him. Who knows if they were drunk or whatever, probably just possessed by a demon. There was a devil in these people that was doing this, thinking that the devil thought in his mind, we're going to win. We're going to kill the Messiah. We're going to kill the son of God. And if we kill him, he can't judge us. That's what Satan thought in his prideful mind. But little did he know that by Jesus going through that suffering, it would defeat the entire demonic kingdom and give us a chance to be rescued. That's what Jesus did. He came on a rescue mission so that we can be freed. And so that these demonic powers, that there's actual power in this stuff are dismantled and destroyed easily with the power of the Holy ghost because of the blood of Jesus. Amen. And people over-spiritualize witchcraft and they make it sound like, this is what I don't like. People make witchcraft look like it's more powerful than what it is. And I come from witchcraft. Right. And I don't even, I don't even do that. Right. Like I like to expose it. Like, look, it ain't got nothing on a Christian. Like, cause I know some people, some Christians haven't been in it. So like, you know, it's kind of like that. Like I've never been in it, so I don't want to touch it. So I'm the guy that's been in it. And I'll go and I'll be like the guy, like, Hey, it ain't got nothing on us. You're good. So you don't have to freak out like, oh, this witch is doing witchcraft. My next door neighbor, what do I do? And freak out? No, you pray for her. And you go knock on the door and give her some cookies, pray for her because it's like, that has no power over, over a Christian. But if the enemy can lie to you and make you say, oh my goodness, I'm going through it because of all this witchcraft. No, like, no, it's you're going through refinery. You're, you're worried about demons. When it's God putting you through a refinery process, so you can be purified like gold and come out stronger than what you were before. You have to see it from the right lens, the biblical lens. Amen. I just want, I want to encourage you guys to know that like, man, we are powerful in Christ because our God is the all powerful. I don't know who needs to hear this, but there's like Buddha and, and, and Allah, like you guys see what's happening with Islam all over the U S where they're doing their prayers in the middle. You know, I was, I was in a sauna today with pastor Joelle. And as soon as we walked

in, they're talking about this, they're having this debate, these two guys at the gym. And one's talking about, no man, like this book talks about kill the infidel or like kill anyone that goes against it. And they mess with little girls and I'm, I don't, I need them out of America. They need to get out of America. I'll kill her. He's wilding out. And the other guy's like, no, I believe that, you know, you know, Islam, Buddhism, just, it doesn't matter. And all these things. And I'm like, man, like the devil's creating deception through division so that people don't see what's spiritually happening. Cause both of them are carnal. The one guy's right. The Quran does say to kill the infidel. If you know a true Muslim, a true Muslim, a devout Muslim is going to do what the Quran says, which is to kill the infidel. So if you go against Islam, according to the Quran, they're supposed to kill you. So I told him, I said, it's demonic. It's wrong. Like Hitler was demonic and wrong, but I respect somebody who believes in what they believe, even though it's demonic and wrong. I'm not, I'm not saying it, but what I'm saying is like the, the people who do that are actually following what they're supposed to follow. And it's, it's wrong. And yes, in Iran, they just, I don't even know why I'm talking about this. This is for somebody in here. They just legalized grown men to be able to marry nine-year-old girls. This is like four or five months ago. I'm so serious. You can Google this. This is Islam. This is the fruit of Islam and they're coming into America. I'm not about, I don't care about ethnic this and not like I'm in the spirit. I see what's happening in the spirit. I don't, we don't wrestle against flesh and blood. It's an antichrist spirit. That's being started here in our country. That's making a stance. And us as Christians, we gotta make a stance in the spirit. The greatest way to destroy the enemy's camp is through evangelism. When we evangelize as a foot soldier, we snatch souls out of the enemy's camp and bring them into the kingdom of light. And we get more and more, it's stronger. We get stronger. The Bible says the Holy Spirit is the restrainer.

He restrains in the book of Thessalonians. What that means is because of the Holy Spirit right now on this planet, chaos has not broken out loose to where the devil wants it because the Holy Spirit is still here. So as souls get saved, alters us, the Holy Spirit fills more and more people. We get more and more strong as a body and souls get saved more and more. Soul saving and evangelism is so important and it's what God is highlighting right now, big time. He wants everyone to go reach the lost, not just an evangelist with a capital E or a guy with a social media platform. No, everybody's called to go reach the lost. Amen. Last night, it was powerful. We went downtown Orlando to evangelize. And man, we were out there for maybe less than 45 minutes and someone got baptized. Is he here today? I thought it was you, bro. What's up, man? Stand up. Hallelujah. That's what's up. What's up, Robert? But just to show you that like I get no glory, God's already been working on his heart. God was already talking to him.

God was already showing him things. God was already drawing him and all these things. But personally, everyone say personally, relationally with him, with Robert. And I just was the guy that came out there and just helped him out. You see, and God will do that because God is recklessly in love with him. And us as Christians, this should encourage us that, look, when we go out, God's the one who goes before us. Like we don't gotta try harder to win souls. We need to trust more. Trust that what the word says is true. That if we lift up his name, he'll draw all men onto us. That his presence goes before us. I don't wanna go there unless your presence goes before me, Lord. So show me where you want me to go. In prayer, I'm praying, go downtown Orlando. Amen. My brothers, we're going downtown Orlando tonight. All right, I'm getting ready. We out there. Every single time there's fruit because God sends us. Hallelujah. That's evangelism. God, where do you want me to go? I'll go when you want me to go. But anywhere I go, I'm still gonna preach the gospel.

But when you want me to strategically go on a mission, I'm going when you tell me to go. The great co-mission where we co-labor with the Holy Ghost. Amen. I love it. Evangelism is supposed to be fun. This walk in Christ, the Lord was speaking to me about that this week. It's supposed to be fun. It's supposed to be enjoyable. The word joy comes from the word, right? Right, the word enjoy, enjoy, enjoy. It's similar because we're supposed to be enjoyed, enjoyable. We're supposed to enjoy this walk in Christ because the joy of the Lord is our strength. So whenever this walk in Christ gets boring, it's either we're out of alignment or we're lacking intimacy with the one who gives us joy. We plug into the vine. He gives us joy and sets things up to let us know that he's with us. And then your walk in Christ becomes supernatural and everywhere you go, God's showing up in some way or form. If it's not evangelism, it's somebody saying this or this happening or that. It's something happening or it's just his presence or it's just as you're walking through publics, you're getting revelation as you meditate on his word.

Every single second is supposed to be, Jesus, where are you at? What are you doing? Show me, I'm in love with you. At the dinner table with your family, at a restaurant, at work, like man, like this is how you do things unto the glory of God, all things. And it comes through the cultivation in that secret place, through intimacy with the Lord. The Bible says that what you do in private, right? If you fast, you pray, you give, he rewards you openly for it, right? He'll reward you publicly. That reward, that public reward is not what we, in a carnal mind, it's not what carnality thinks a reward is, right? Like what does the world tell you in the back? What's the reward to you in the back? Money? You want money? You want success? What's the reward to you? Is it the material things, mammon, or is it experiencing God? Because when you experience the highest power daily, you know that that means more than anything else. And then he'll bless you in every way he wants to bless you to the point where you can't even stop it. That's what the scriptures say.

Even you won't be able to contain it. Even you won't be able to stop it. Don't you want that? Who has that in their life? I know I do. And if you don't, this should encourage you to be like, man, I want that. I'm giving you the key. Before I start this message, the key to everything is intimacy with Jesus. Christ. Everyone say intimacy. I promise you catch this in your heart right now. Catch it in your heart. You seek him. You will find intimacy, intimacy, spending a consecrated time with God, putting an effort to do it. Everything else will follow no matter what you're going through in life. Chaos will be happening, but you can't even be affected. You'll be going through things and you'll be like, but I'm chilling. Why is everyone else around me? So like stiff and complaining. You ever been through that? You're going through things, but you're like, why are you like, aren't you a follower of Christ? Jesus can only give you that peace. That's peace that surpasses all understanding. That's power right there, bro. That's, that's real power that will, no matter what you go through, you'll have this piece that makes no sense. When you're supposed to be freaking out, you're untouchable. You're dead. Don't you want that? Everyone say, come on somebody. All right, let's get into this message. All right. So I want to talk, I want to first talk about two brothers in the scriptures. One of them gets thrown into a pit by his own family. Everyone pay attention. Amen. He gets sold into slavery, falsely accused, thrown into prison for years, for something that he didn't even do. Forgotten by the people he helped 13 years of injustice. This man went through 13 years of suffering and injustice for things he never did. One after another stacked on top of each other. The other one, the other character, the other brother loses something and a moment of weakness gets passed over, feels cheated and spends the rest of his life so consumed by what he lost that the Bible gives him one of the most sobering labels in all of scripture. Both of these characters, same category of pain, two completely different

responses. Y'all ready? Y'all ready for this? We're going to talk about Joseph and Esau, and tonight God is about to show you which path you've been on and how to change it. Amen. Because I believe someone in this room is carrying a fence right now that is quietly costing you more than you realize. Not just emotionally, but spiritually, relationally, relationally, physically. You are paying a price for something that someone else did to you. There's people in here who have a fence and you're paying a price for something that someone else did to you. And they've already moved on. They're sleeping fine, they're chilling, and you are the one still in a prison they built. So bitterness is a prison where you are both the inmate and the warden. And so tonight we're going to talk about how to get free, not how to manage it, but how to get free. Y'all ready? Y'all ready? Y'all ready? Do y'all already feel convicted? Somebody already feels convicted. Dang. Amen. The word is supposed to cut. Isn't that, that's a good thing when it cuts. When you feel it you're like, that's surgery happening. Let it cut. It cuts and then it heals. The word of God heals. Cuts, bone and marrow, soul and spirit divides, and then heals. Amen. The Lord wants, the Lord, let me tell you the heart of God. He wants you to get stronger. He wants you to grow to new levels of his nature in you. A man after God's own heart, David was. What's the heart? What does it mean to be, what does it mean to be a man after God's own heart? I hear that, that quote, that verse quoted by everybody. Does it mean to play an instrument and be a musician? We've attached it to that because you're music, because you're musically gifted. Does it mean you're a man after God's own heart? What does it mean to be a man after God's own heart? What's his heart? His nature, his character, who he is. So what was David? A man that wanted to become like God. A man that knew he was flawed, knew he had issues and errors and gook in his heart, but wanted to become like God, realized how he couldn't do it in his own strength and how he needed God a lot, all the time. That, that is who David was. Are you a man or woman after God's own heart? So let's say this. If you're a man or woman after God's own heart, and you're praying and saying, God, I want to, I want to be after your heart. Best believe you're going to go through offenses. You're going to go through wounds. You're going to go through trials. You're going to go through purifying fires that are going to be so hot, you feel like you're dying, because you literally are. How many of... want that. Let me ask y'all a question before I start this off, because I see people like kind of looking at me crazy. Did you come to Christ because you want your life to get better? Or did

you come to Christ because you want to die and become like him? No, for real. Listen to me, because if you don't catch this and you think this walk in Christ is all about my life getting better, I got to, I want to become a better, successful person. If that's your vision of Christianity, you're going to be disappointed. That's not what, that's not what this walk is about. This walk is walking the same footsteps of Jesus Christ. It's a disciple, a follower of Jesus. We read the scriptures and we see the nature, the character, the will of God from revelation all the way to Genesis and from Genesis all the way to revelation. We see it throughout the entire Bible. When you read the scriptures, you see all these different scenarios of patriarchs and apostles and Jesus himself, all these people going through different things. So when we go through things in life, we can relate to them and know exactly what to do. And then when we mess up, we see where we messed up and how we can get better because we're going to go through the same thing again in the future. That's what the Bible is. It's instruction and direction in this life to become like God. That's the whole purpose of this life. And you're going to go through offenses. You're going to go through betrayals. You're going to go through heartbreaks. You're going to go through unfortunate situations that really suck deaths, sickness, murder, all these things. Is it in the scriptures? So this walk in Christ is real. I was talking to somebody recently and I was like, I forgot who it was. And they were like, man, this walk in Christ is hard. Yeah. And you know what I said? I said, it's the hardest thing I ever did in my life, but I love it. It's purposeful. It's meaningful. It's my destiny. It, duh. If it's the best thing you can do in life, it's going to be the hardest thing you're going to go through. Are you willing to go through the fire? Who's willing? Who wants to go through the fire? Some of you, I literally just saw somebody and you know who you are. It's okay. At least you're being honest. You're not, you're not, you're not fully sure yet, but I'll tell you every battle you go through, he always gives you a way out. You depend on him. He gets you through everything. And it makes no sense how you get through because you see the glory of God. You see God manifest himself within your life to know that he's realer and realer every single season. To me, that's the most valuable thing to know that God is real in a, in a generation where people don't believe in God, where there's so much false Christianity. There's so much. I believe in God, but they don't know him. There's so much. I love God, but they don't know him. They don't intimately know who he is

because they go to church on Sunday because their family say, because their mom's a prayer warrior or that, okay, that's great. But do you know him yourself? Do you have a relationship with God? Or do you, are you looking for people to have a relationship with God through your, your mediator, your middleman, the veil has been torn. Well, now you are a King in a breeze where now you are a prophet of God. You're a mouthpiece that can hear directly from his voice, his voice, but to, in order to receive that revelation, the voice of God, to see experiences, manifest presence, and God actually moving in your life. It requires death. It requires death to yourself and to everything that you think, all your aspirations and dreams saying, God, I put all of it at your feet. What do you have planned? And what do you want from my life? And when you do that, it's the best thing. I promise it's going to surgically hurt. You're going to feel lonely. You're going to feel like everybody left you all the beginning stage of when I first got saved. I felt like I was alone. All my friends and family cut me off. I didn't have anybody. My wife's not even baptized in the Holy spirit. She just got saved. She doesn't even want to read the Bible. She don't want to pray or do anything. I'm by myself. And let me tell you, I look back at those moments and I'm in prayer. And I feel like I said, God, bring me back to that place. I miss those days where it was just, and it still is just me and God, but I'm talking about, it was all day, 24, seven. There was no ministry. There was no pastoring. There was no platform. It was just me and God in the secret place out on the streets, anywhere we went. And I saw God move. I still see God move, but man, I, those, those, those days were so, so the first love days are so that I cherish them so much. They're so precious to me. They're so precious. Like I reminisce on those days, like, and I cry and I weep and I'm like, God, you're so good. He still shows up in my life. Okay. But what I'm saying is like, those are the days that I look back at. So if you're new in the faith right now, if you just got saved and you feel lonely, how many of y'all feel lonely and you just got saved cherish these days and remember these days. I promise you, if you stay and endure years from now, you're going to look back and be like, man, that was so worth it. Man, that was so worth it, all that suffering and the crying and the weeping and the snot coming out your nose and you don't know what to do and you just fall asleep in the secret place and you wake up and still cry, like, those are the days, bro, where the devil's

trying to get you back and you're standing 10 toes through the fire and you're burning up and you're just standing still and God's pushing you and he's walking with you and then you get through that, you get through that season and you see the glory of God manifest. Things that you were praying for getting saved, God moving in power, doing more than you can think or imagine. Don't you want that? That's the whole purpose of this walk in Christ is to see God move in your life. It's to see him move, experience him, everyone say experience. That's the only way you're going to get into heaven, you know that, right? The only way you can get into heaven is not to just say a prayer, not to get baptized, it's to in your heart really surrender and when you do, you experience him. You know, it's the proof of somebody who's saved, they've experienced God according to the word. Many will say, Lord, Lord, I've prophesied, casted out devils and done many miracles in your name. Let's take it even deeper. I went to church in your name. I got baptized in your name and you know what he'll say and we, we, we, we like to say, I never knew you like, no, you know, it's probably breaking his heart as he says it. I never knew you depart from me. I never knew you. You know what that word new means? It means intimately. I never knew you intimately, experientially. We never knew each other. You did all these things, but we never knew each other. It wasn't relational. It was religion. You went to church thinking that raising your hand and doing whatever, but then throughout the entire week doing you, you thought that was what I wanted.

That's not what I wanted. I never wanted that. I wanted your heart. I never, I never, yes, baptism is powerful and altar calls powerful. The Lord's prayer is powerful. All these things are powerful, but without your heart being connected to God, it's religion. Worship is powerful. Are you worshiping because of who he is or because your situation sucks and you're crying in pity. You see, it gets real, bro. This walk in Christ is so serious and so alive and tangible. Amen. I want to encourage you that some of you tonight, I feel this in the spirit. You're going to break out of those chains of religion. You're going to break out of that. I'm telling you, I can feel it in the spirit. You're going to break out of chains of religion. And when you come to this altar tonight, you're going to, you're going to experience God here and you're not going to go back to dead religion. You're going to, you're going to, you're going to be a disciple, a follower of Jesus Christ, not a follower of a church, not a follower of a pastor, not a follower of a YouTube channel, not a follower of, of your, your dreams and desires to make it one day. No, a follower of Jesus Christ. And if Jesus wants to present the church for you to be plugged into, the pastor to decipher you, the, the YouTube channel to watch or the gift and the calling and destiny, praise God. Okay. But you're not following Jesus for the things he can give you. You're following him because you've experienced him and you know he's real. Amen.

Who wants that tonight? Who wants more of experience? Hallelujah. Okay. We have to break through some atmospheres. I want y'all to wake up in the spirit. All right. I don't want this to be just like, Oh, whatever message, pay attention. Your life's going to change tonight. Hallelujah. Look at this Luke, Luke chapter 17 verse one. If you want to pull out your word, I love this scripture. This is good. This is the Bible. This is the word. It's the number one way that we can communicate with God. The number one way that we can experience the voice of God is through the scriptures. Number one, there's many other ways, but the primary number one way, the foundation is the word of God. The Holy Graphic. Amen. Everything else has to be from that. That's the foundation. Whether God speaks to you through a dream, a vision, his voice, intrinsically, audibly a sign, miracle, wonder. The foundation is the scriptures. Amen. But God can speak to us through many different ways. Luke chapter 17 verse one, then he said to the disciples, it is impossible that no offenses should come.

Jesus speaking to his disciples. He said, it is impossible that no offenses should come. That means it is impossible for you not to be offended or to go through an offense. It is impossible. Everyone say impossible. Does that mean that we're going to go through offenses? Okay. So I don't know, but look at this, but whoa, means a warning of judgment to him through whom they come. So he says two things. It's impossible as a Christian, as a disciple of Jesus, it's impossible for you not to go through offenses. You're going to go through offenses, but warning of judgment, whoa, from those whom they come from to those who cause offense. I'm not talking about. Offense from the Word of God like righteous division for the sword of the spirit where people feel offended and and because of the word the gospel and whatever okay I'm talking about people who cause offense through sin going against the Word of God sowing discord amongst brethren God hates that lying causing offense through sexual immorality fornication causing offense by causing a Christian to stumble with drugs or causing a Christian to stumble through gossip woe to those who cause the offenses but also just remember first it's impossible as a disciple of Jesus to not go through offenses amen Jesus doesn't say offense might come he says it isn't it's impossible it's impossible that it won't and the Greek word for offenses here is the word scandal on scandal on and that Greek word it's one of the most revealing words in the New Testament a scandal on that Greek word for scandal on for offense was the bait stick inside of an ancient animal trap y'all know what an animal trap is in the woods that catch animals a bait stick the bait that's inside the animal trap that Greek word for offense was referenced to a bait

offended had a chance to fight back had a chance to kill Saul twice specifically both moments he could have killed he was in the proximity of Saul I'm talking about less than 10 feet without Saul knowing to the point where Saul was using the restroom and he cut his robe and could have killed him and then you know David got convicted and said man why did I even cut his robe and then showed Saul the next day look I cut your robe I could have killed you but he had a revelation and the revelation was Saul was anointed in authority for a specific position and David did not want to go against God's anointed second time same thing David saws on the way to kill David he's the Bible says that God put to put the entire camp into a deep sleep spear saw spear right next to his head as he's sleeping David comes and grabs the spear and again could have killed him but instead says look I could have killed you but didn't kill Saul even after Saul went through his own judgment and was killed himself you know David still honored Saul even when he was dead and even blessed his generational bloodline this is a man who had a revelation that God comes first that people are gonna cause offenses and do things that are contrary to what the Word of God is but still God comes first and that he should not touch God's anointed was David anointed by God yes a man who is anointed as well knew I should not touch one of God's anointed who's in complete error and you see this is the problem that we see in the body of Christ now because of the Internet the Internet is a great place to win souls but then we see a bunch of people who are speaking things that God never said and going against God's plans and are causing offenses woe to those from whom they come from but you will go through them and it's impossible not to everyone say come on somebody do you want to be like David or do you want to be like Saul if you're gonna be like David you're gonna go through a few souls and the goal is Saul I'm gonna tell you I'm gonna tell you right now the goal of Saul is to make you become like him because what would do did David had like the logical justification to kill Saul this man is after him and I travel the whole camp of Israel the the army of Israel coming

Let's talk about offense versus bitterness Offense is the event What happened to you someone lying to you stealing from you using you betraying you Cheating on you that is the offense and it was real but bitterness is the decision It's what happens when you take the offense inside and begin to feed it Rehearse it nurse it and build a case around it Bitterness is a fence that was never surrendered It's a fence that found a home in your heart and started building furniture Hebrews chapter 12 verse 15 look at this Looking carefully Let's anyone fall short of the grace of God. Let's any root of bitterness springing up caused trouble and by this many become defiled a Root is underground you don't see roots you see fruit and And The and the writer in the scriptures puts Esau right next to this verse for a reason Esau lost his birthright in a in a weak moment Let it fester into decades of bitterness and Hebrews calls him when you read the book of Hebrews

Profane not because of what happened to him But because of what he did with the wound He Let one moment of loss become a permanent identity He saw didn't lose his destiny in the moment of the wound. He lost it in the years. He spent feeding it profane The book of Hebrews taught references of him as profane Or we get that word profanity profane and And the writer says in Hebrews this root defiles many bitterness It's contagious your bitterness is not staying inside you Look at this look at this your bitterness is not just staying inside of you your children feel it Your spouse is drinking from it. The people you're meant to lead are being contaminated by a root. They can't even see themselves The wound is what happened to you the root is what you did with the wound Let's talk about what bitterness is actually costing you Before I tell you how to get free. I want you to feel the weight of what I'm saying. Okay? I'm gonna give you the weight of what staying bound is costing you because most people in this room Don't think of themselves as bitter they think of themselves as hurt guarded realistic discerning protective But let me show you what bitterness looks like when it has no name It looks like anxiety that won't go away. Even when life is going well It looks like relationships that never get past a certain depth Because you won't let anyone get close again It looks like a low-grade anger that always leaks out sideways Onto people who had nothing to do with the original rooms. It looks like being unable to celebrate other people's success It looks like physical sickness because medical science has confirmed what scripture always said unresolved bitterness manifests in the body chronic inflammation autoimmune diseases

Broken sleep and spiritually it looks like prayers That feel like they hit the ceiling Worship that feels hollow a calling you sense but Kim you cannot seem to step into it a ceiling you keep bumping against and cannot explain Proverbs chapter 14 verse 30 says Look at this a sound heart is life to the body, but envy is rottenness to the bones Not just metaphorically the bone is where blood is made. Did y'all know that? The bone is where blood is made bitterness goes that deep You think you're carrying unforgiveness toward them look at this you think you're carrying unforgiveness toward them, right? You don't realize they are carrying you into sickness, stagnation, and spiritual bondage. Joseph could have had all of this. 13 years of injustice, if you read the book of Genesis, he had every human right to be destroyed by bitterness. But Genesis chapter 39, verse 2 says something remarkable. In the middle of slavery, in the middle of prison, the Lord was with Joseph, not after his breakthrough, but during his captivity. I love it. Everyone say during his captivity. Because Joseph never gave his wound permission to become a root. And when his brother stood before him, the very man who threw him in the pit, did he get bitter? Did he reject them? He wept. He wept. Not in anger, in compassion, because agape. Everyone say agape. Because love, agape, had kept his soul clean for 13 years. 13 years, the devil was trying to get Joseph to have bitterness in his heart. Tells his brothers a dream. You know, you know, Joseph was a snitch. He snitched on his brothers. And then he went and told them he's a younger brother. He goes and tells them a dream, as a younger brother, to older brothers, that he's going to be their leader. Not smart. Was impatient. Human. And then they throw him into slavery. They sell him for 20 pieces of silver, whatever it was. They sell him for chump change. He gets thrown into slavery, and then becomes a literal slave to an officer of Pharaoh. Then he's there for 10 years, doing well, favor. And then the man's wife, the officer, is trying to sleep with him and seduce him every day. And he's denying her. No, no, being integral. And then one day she decides, I'm gonna blame you for something you never did, and accuses him of sexual offense that he never did. Then he gets thrown into prison.

And it's not like American prisons, which is like a country club compared to what they went through back then. All they had was bread and water. They were thrown into a hole. It was dark and cold, chained up, suffering for years. Then the prison guard comes to him for a dream interpretation. He gives them the proper dream interpretation from revelation from God and says, don't forget about me, please. And the man forgets about him. How many of y'all would have been offended at this point at God? I don't get it, God. I'm in covenant with you. I'm supposed to be blessed. I'm supposed to have favor. You gave me this dream. But instead, I know that through this whole process, Joseph would keep going to God and God would keep getting him through. And by his grace, so Joseph can endure giving him revelation. So when he was finally exalted to the right hand of Pharaoh, when God knew it was time and his brothers came, not even knowing who he was begging for food because a famine was coming. Joseph blesses them to the point where they freak out and they can't believe it and they get paranoid. This is in the word. Joseph is a revelation of who Christ is. He's a representation of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. That's our Jesus. That's Jesus manifesting his glory through a willing vessel who is willing to be after God's heart. He's another David. He's another Abraham. He's another Peter, another Paul, another you. Man, a woman of God, you are a man or woman of God after God's own heart. That's you. If you receive that, say, I received that in Jesus name. That's us. We're after God's heart because we're going to go through offenses and we're going to go through betrayals, but we're not going to let it shift us. And when we get wounded, because in battle, you will get wounded. You will get shot at. You will get hit. You will feel pain. When have you ever been in a fight where you don't get hit? Sometimes you might knock somebody out. I'm talking about a real fight where somebody actually knows how to fight because the devil knows how to fight. You don't wrestle against flesh and blood. You're going to get into wrestling matches where you're going to fight the enemy and you're going to feel like everything's coming against you. You're going to feel like it's a whole full blitz on your life. They're coming from every single area all at once. Are you going to react? Are you going to try to do things in your own strength and might? Or are you going to get on your face and weep before God and say, God, I need you right now. I don't know what to do. And I need you. I'm saying, still, I'm waiting on you. You fight my battle.

vengeance is yours. I don't want to shift my perspective on this person because the devil's trying to do that so I'll be offended and bitter and you're weeping in God's presence saying God let me see them like you see them let me see them like you see them before I even pray for them God I don't want to pray from bitters I don't want to pray from offense I want to pray from revelation and understanding that's how you get healing from past wounds too listen to this how many of y'all got beaten by your parents growing up talking about like you got whooped for doing bad things right do not spare the rod right it's biblical there's a righteous way to do it and then there's a worldly demonic way okay I'm talking about the righteous way right think about when you're a little kid and you did something your parents told you not to do and they hit you with the bell or whatever or they put you in timeout whatever you got punishment when you get punished for something that you did wrong you're not offended you know why because you know you deserve it before you did it you know that there's consequences that can come and you still did it you got caught you got to go through the consequences you just want to finish your bid or finish your beating whatever and be done and sorry mom sorry dad and keep it pushing right I got a lot of those moments where I did a lot of things that I knew I can get whooped for my mom's watching right now I love you mom and my dad because trust me now that I have four kids I'm like man I put my parents through a lot for real but think about the times where you got betrayed beat up beating whatever it was for something you never did wrong where it made no sense and you're trying to figure out why did this happen to me you ever been through that through that an abuse or something happening to you where you didn't deserve it and you don't understand why it happened what happens is in your mind you start trying to figure out why did this happen is it because I'm this terrible person is it because of this is it because of that you start your you're inside of your subconscious in your heart you're trying to figure out something to attach it to to make it make sense and that's the most tormenting thing you can go through when people are sexually abused especially young children or kids or people some of you in here went through this you're trying to figure out why did I go through this and your soul gets fragmented and trauma comes in and that's where the enemy comes in through that open door that open door of offense of bitterness that open door of of of suicide whatever it is that you're going through that's when the enemy comes in to comfort you demonically that's where the enemy comes in and the jezebel spirit comes in or the that spirit likes to cause homosexuality and all these things when you talk to the lgbtq plus community a lot of

them the reason that they're dealing with this this thing this false identity is because they've been offended and they're bitter and if they're a woman that was a that was sexually abused by a man now they like woman because the man hurt them and they don't like men anymore it's not every case but majority of the time it is and that's how that jezebel spirit comes in to change up their identity to the point where they sound like a man or a woman they dress like one it's a demonic spirit mocking god by taking who god loves a vessel of honor a vessel a child of god taking someone that god loves and turning them out to work for the kingdom of darkness that's how it works everyone say it's spiritual people say i was born with this there's something called a generational curse generational curses and generational spirits that pass on through the womb you don't think this stuff is real it's real it's spiritual but the greatest thing about all this is that these demons could be casted out strongholds could be broken inner healing could happen through the power of the spirit of god and his word i'm telling you like bro we come to christ and our spirit man gets born again everyone say born again but we still have a soul and we still have a body our soul just because we're born again in our spirit praise god we're born again our soul needs a lot of cleaning up you don't get saved and now you know the whole bible and you're fully i'm just everything's amazing and i'm good yes the bible says who the son says free is free indeed but you're still dealing with addiction you're still dealing with bitterness you're still dealing with rejection you're still dealing with anger yes yes positionally now who the son says free is free indeed and you need to apply and enforce that authority towards the area that's not matching up with the word that's what sanctification is so now when things start happening in your life where you realize i was angry here and i wasn't supposed to be you need to repent and say god i need your help and his grace his enabling power and his word Change you break the chain heal you and cast that devil out That's what it is. It's the threefold cord of sanctification That's how you get freedom That's how you change into the image of god. That's how your nature in your heart becomes like jesus's This is the sanctification foot washing process And this is what people don't want to go through Because how can god reveal to you an area that needs to be changed unless he puts you through a fire to expose it

It's the devil being used in people To offend you to betray you but then that pain you start feeling is it on the outside or is it on the inside? Right the attack happened on the outside but then the pains on the So god is inside Fire and it's burning up What are you gonna do about it when you go through the fire Are you gonna stand 10 toes and walk through that thing? It should be like god I rejoice to this tribulation because i'm gonna have more perseverance character hope I know it hurts right now But i'm coming out stronger than I was before this hurts so much and you're crying and i'm going through it But i'm telling you're gonna come out then you're gonna come out of that fire stronger stronger in the spirit And then god's glory will be poured out and you'll experience him in a greater measure This is why this is why this is why a lot of christians don't experience god Especially on the on the western side of things It's because we're so used to oh, man Your life's gonna get better when you follow jesus and you're gonna have everything you ever wanted Your life's success and everything you've ever wanted But no one tells you about the fire does god bless you of course Does god take care of you 1 000? love. This is something else entirely. In the Greek, it's called agape. And here is what makes it unlike anything else. Every other kind of love is a response. You love romantically because someone is attractive. You love a friend because they showed up for you and helped you out. But agape does not respond to anything. It is not triggered by how lovable you are. It is not deactivated by how badly you treat someone. It is a decision of the will that operates completely independent of feeling. Every other kind of love is a response, but agape is a decision. And this is exactly why agape, love, is the only thing powerful enough to defeat bitterness. Because bitterness lives in the realm of emotion and memory. Agape lives in the realm of will. And your will, submitted to God, is stronger than

your wound. Stay with me. 1 Corinthians 13, 4 says, love suffers long in its kind. Love does not envy. Love does not parade itself. It's not puffed up. Does not behave rudely. Does not seek its own. It's not provoked. Thinks no evil. Does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in truth. Bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Amen. Two phrases. Is not provoked. Look at this. Agape cannot be aimed. Listen to this. Cannot be sharpened into a weapon by what someone else does to you. That's what being provoked means. Most of us have handed the steering wheel of our spirit to whoever hurt us most. Every time we think of them, we drive it. Agape takes the wheel back. Amen. You can't be provoked. The minute someone does something to you that causes you to

be provoked, they're your lord. They control you. So when someone betrays you or gossips about you and you respond in anger, bitterness and retaliation, they are controlling you. You have submitted your will to them and they took the wheel. Everyone's saying, I don't want that. The moment you let their behavior control your spirit, again, you've made them your lord. Now when that pastor says, thinks no evil, the Greek word here means, it's a financial term. It means to keep a ledger, to tally, to maintain a running account. Paul is saying Agape does not book keep. Y'all with me on this? Agape does not open an account where every wrong is recorded and held. Bitterness is an accounting firm. Agape is bankruptcy in court. You keep no record of wrongs.

They weren't in my life. Bitterness, why all these excuses? Where's the agape? He was never in my life man, you don't get it. I do get it, that sucks. But what would Jesus do? That's an offended heart, that's a bitter heart. But you don't get it, the person raped me, is that unfortunate? It sucks, it sucks, I'm not saying it's good. Do you understand that demonic spirits operate through people? If you were to sit there and let God take you back to that moment, you would probably see what that person was dealing with themselves, because a lot of times when people have sexually abused someone, it's because they were sexually abused. It's a demonic spirit being passed down. You want to really get revenge, you submit to God and you pray for that person so they can get delivered. Because the person or the thing that we should be against is the devil and his kingdom. So that's the best revenge, praying for the very person who hurt you. That they would get delivered and healed. But meaning it like, God, they've probably been hurt, Lord, break that. And you got this anger towards the enemy. Thank you in the name of Jesus, you're going to free them, Lord.

You're going to heal them, Lord. They're going to be lit up on fire, God, hallelujah. Break that spirit in the name, and it's not the person. And you're seeing in the spirit that person, you're crying for them, God, they've been hurt too. This is when you know you're fighting for real. But if you isolate, if you don't want to think about it, I just don't want to think about it. I'm telling you, you could do all that you want, but you know who's coming to poke at that wound? Demons are real. Demons are very real, but the only name they submit to is Jesus Christ. The only name that they have to respect and honor and submit to is Jesus. The name above every other name. Not Muhammad, not Buddha, not Allah, not sage, but the name of Jesus Christ makes them tremble. They tremble. Even the demons believe in, they tremble. So if you're a Christian and you believe in angels, you should believe that demons are real too. And we have been given power and authority to cast them out and they have to submit to the name of Jesus. Amen. So if you're at this altar and you've been dealing with addiction, the great news is the Lord wants to set you free right now. Okay. Okay. I want you to listen because some of you are in your heart right now. You know, you're feeling, you're feeling like it can't happen. You're feeling like, man, pitiful. Like, I don't know, maybe not me. I want to give you my quick, a quick version of my testimony of this part. I was addicted to many things. I was addicted to drugs, alcohol, sexual stuff, all that. I was, I was, I was all, I was, I couldn't stop it in the world. I would try to stop it and just go right back and be worse. When I came to Christ and I surrendered my life and I knew that these things needed to be stopped. I'm going to tell you this. It wasn't super easy. Like, oh, I'm just, no, I had to go to war. I recognize that these things are being caused by the enemy demons. God showed me that early on. And that I could be freed. And man, did I go to, I went to war and the only thing that set me free was the power of God. When I called upon the name of Jesus and God started casting devils out of me one by one, two by two. Delivered me of incubus and succubus from sexual morality and porn addiction that I had for over a decade. All the women and everything delivered me when I called upon his name and I suffered and I said, God, I need you and I cried and I got devils casted out of me. The alcohol that I couldn't put down for decades, or I'd say over a decade. Delivered me of that when I said, God, I don't want this feeling of wanting to go buy this bottle anymore. He delivered me of that devil. He delivered me of the spirit of anger months later, rage. He delivered me of rejection. He delivered me of of so many things I was dealing with through my process of sanctification. Still is healing delivering and still breaking strongholds. God is is always washing our feet.

That's why Peter said, oh, don't wash my feet. Jesus. He said, hey, if I can't wash your feet, you can't be my disciple. That was a revelation of sanctification. Every single one of them got their feet washed. We all need it. Amen. Deliverance is the children's bread. All you have to do in your heart is recognize that this thing, this sin issue, this addiction is not what God wants. It's not what you want. You've tried on your own strength. And now you're submitting everything to God saying, God, you're the only one who can free me. Not are you the only one who can free, but I trust that you're going to free me right now because your word says. What is the word says that you will know the truth and the truth will make you free. Therefore, if the sun makes you free, you're free. Indeed, that he's giving you power over all the power of the enemy that these signs shall follow. Those who believe they will cast out devils.
