Declaration of Dependence
Remember those wars that we called sanction? They were like prisons that we could escape But we came out, and we died, and we rose Those walls are hard to break Remember those giants we called death and grave? They were like mountains that stood in our way But we came out, and we died, and we rose Those giants are dead now, but we stay This is our God, this is who He is, He loves us This is our God, this is what He does, He saves us He bore the cross, He's the grave Let heaven and earth proclaim This is our God, King Jesus Come on, lift His name Oh, we sing Remember that fear that took all of the way The faith told me that I could bear the pain I heard every word, every whisper Now those altars in the wilderness They tell the story of His faithfulness Never once did He fail, and He never will This is our God, this is who He is, He loves us This is our God, this is what He does, He saves us He bore the cross, He's the grave Let heaven and earth proclaim This is our God, King Jesus Who pulled me out of that pit? He did, He did Who paid for all of our sins? Nobody but Jesus
Who pulled me out of that pit? He did, He did Who paid for all of our sins? Oh, there was none else who could have done it Who rescued me from that grave? Yahweh, Yahweh Who gets the glory and praise? Nobody but Jesus Who rescued me from that grave? Yahweh, Yahweh Who gets the glory and praise? Nobody but Him This is our God, this is who He is, He loves us This is our God, this is what He does, He saves us He bore the cross, He's the grave Let heaven and earth proclaim This is our God, King Jesus Oh, this is our God, this is our God This is who He is, He loves us This is our God, this is what He does, He saves us He bore the cross, He's the grave Let heaven and earth proclaim This is our God, this is who He is He bore the cross, He's the grave Let heaven and earth proclaim This is our God, King Jesus Keep working on tonight We praise You Lord, we praise You Lord Come on we go, just like When the King speaks one, it cannot be all told
This is who it has to be You will never touch His Word The King that will be the first Is the King to all call So give the lives of the weak, the old, and the far, so that we may all be one. Silent and free, the earth is peace and glory. So we shout this day. The Lamb of God has overcome. My prayers are calling to the Lord. And if He said that He was coming to judge, so be it come. To the woman on the throne, who cannot be overthrown, sing Alleluia. To the last in the world, the ruler of the universe, sing Alleluia. To the Alpha Omega, the master of angels, sing Alleluia. To every other name, give glory. The Lamb of God has overcome. My prayers are calling to the Lord. And if He said that He was coming to judge, so be it come. The legends of the early, they have no power over me. No one will call upon me, because we, so be it come. So be it come. So be it come. From the floor to the cross, who will pay such a price? For the sin of the world is reclaimed, proof of life. Secretness in His name, sweet reward in His life. Jesus, Lord, bless me now. Let me stay by His side. Let it flow like the air. Wipe your tears from your eyes.
Don't forget that He's there. The choice of the world is His life. He's alive. Be alive. He's alive. Be alive. He's alive. Be alive. He's alive. Be alive. The Lamb of God has overcome. My prayers are calling to the Lord. And if He said that He was coming to judge, so be it come. The perfect love will be. They have no power over me. No one will call upon me, because we, so be it come. So be it come. In His fire, Lord. In His presence. In His love, Lord. He was in us. Not only. He was in us. Not in us yet. He was here, Lord. In His fire, Lord. In His name, yes, He's here, Lord. He was in us. Not only. He was in us.
Not in us yet. In His loving, yes. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. So be it done. So be it done. So be it done. So be it done. It all started with the Declaration of Independence, July 4th, 1776. But your real freedom does not come from a Declaration of Independence. It comes from a Declaration of Dependence. And what is that dependence? So Jesus is addressing this. And why don't you go with me to John chapter 8. Let's go there for a moment. I want to talk just for a moment. And then we're going to pray for you and the freedom that God has given you. But John chapter 8 verse 31 says this. They're all gathering, listening to Jesus. And Jesus said to the people who believed in him, you are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.
There's a liberty that comes as you remain faithful in walking in truth. Isn't that amazing? But we are descendants of Abraham, they said. Now, these are his followers. We have never been slaves to anyone. What do you mean? We will be set free, Jesus replied. I tell you the truth. Everyone, everyone who sins is a slave of sin. A slave is not a permanent member of the family, but a son is part of the family forever. So if the Son sets you free, you really, really, really know freedom. How many thank God for that freedom through Jesus Christ the Son? Amen? I tell you what, this is amazing, though, crossing the threshold of 250 years. But remember, every time that we come to these days, Memorial Day, Veterans Day, July 4th, it's more than fireworks, everybody. It's more than barbecues. Enjoy them with your family. Some of you taking time with your family and you're out. It's more than that. It's more than parades. Enjoy them, celebrate, be patriotic. It's more than online sales that you've been waiting for. You have to understand, you have to stop for a moment
and recognize the incredible price that has been paid for us to have freedom, political freedom, national freedom in the United States of America. A huge price has been paid, is being paid, and will always be paid to keep that freedom. Because many throughout our nation, many nations' history has paid the ultimate price, folks, for our freedoms. From the first shot heard around the world to our men and women in armed forces that defend and protect us on a daily basis. And they're defending us against people who resent the very freedoms that we have and even the freedoms that people have in this country that you disagree with. Those men and women have paid the price for that freedom because freedom, they say, is never free. Somebody has to pay the price. And when we have these celebrations, I wanna encourage you, you pray for our men and women in armed services. Pray for them daily. Pray for their protection. Pray that God, pray for them. Pray for them. And show gratitude to those who served. I don't need to wait till Veterans Day. I'm telling you, I'm just so grateful for the men and women that were willing to pay the sacrifice so you and I can sit in this building
and you can even contradict and disagree with people in this country. And it's these men and women. And I'll tell you what, if you're a man or a woman that has served in armed services and you're a veteran, I would like for you to stand this morning, just for a moment. Would you just stand for a moment? Would you please? Would you mind if we did that? Can you express, come on, can you express gratitude? Some of you, stand up in your homes. Those of you at home, you start applauding. Your dad, your uncle, just right there around the fire. Right there, you thank God for them. Thank you. Thank you so much. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Because you are giving us our freedom to do exactly what we're doing right now in this building that many, many people resent and hate. And you were willing to defend us to do that. Thank you. And when we come to these times, we honor our nation and we recognize, but I'm gonna tell you something we don't do. Well, I don't do. I do not worship the United States of America. I'm grateful, extremely grateful that my parents could bring me on a ship to this country
to go through Ellis Island and pass the Statue of Liberty. And all my parents knew were two English words, yes and no. That's all they knew. My mom had six kids. I was nine months old, the youngest of the six. They sent us straight to Garden City, Kansas, to the deer and the antelope play. It's all agriculture, livestock, cattle fields, feed yards. you can smell it before you get there I promise you it'll put you breathe it'll put brown on your teeth I promise you but the the things that have been afforded my family because of the freedoms in this country this guy is extremely grateful for extremely grateful for and when I visit other nations I come back with a greater gratitude for this nation but I do not worship it I do not worship it because I know America is not always right to everybody and you know how I know because you're not always right and you're a part of it I know America's not always perfect you know why cuz I've hung around some of you and I know that it won't be perfect because you and I are not perfect we don't have a special relationship with God because we're Americans we don't because we all know America's not a perfect country and even our forefathers weren't perfect everybody it's not our history includes a legacy of slavery racial prejudice mistreatment of native peoples and other prejudice thank God God keeps working on the heart of this nation that means he's working on the hearts of people like you and me thank God some of our forefathers were not even Christians believed in God but they were not Christians Thomas Jefferson Ben Franklin they were deist that's what they were but though they were imperfect I can tell you that there they came from a deep culture influenced by Christianity and the principles of the Word of God there's no doubt in my mind that they were all you have to do is look at that Declaration of Independence in that one famous line we hold these truths to be
self-evident that all men are created equal they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights among these are life liberty and the pursuit of happiness we are created in the image of God to have real freedom how many thank God for that amen we know that there was an influence there imperfect but the influence was there I love what John Adams the second president of the United States wrote to Thomas Jefferson on June 28th 1883 all though Jefferson was a deist he wrote these strong words to Jefferson he says the general pinch principles on which the fathers achieved independence were the general principles of Christianity I will avow that I then believed and now believe that those general principles of Christianity are as eternal and immutable as the existence and the attributes of God and that those principles of liberty are as an unalterable as human nature I thank God that on July 4th 1776 our nation was born because of brave individuals that said we want freedom but I'm going to tell you although our nation was born on July 4th 1776 I will tell you that this nation so I'm talking about people nations are people this nation needs to be born again and if it is not born again this nation will perish and if you are not born again through Jesus Christ you will perish it needs to be born again and all it takes folks is just for a moment this I mean it's been a remarkable 250 years it just blows your mind what God has allowed this country to do its effects around the world in 250 years he just blows your mind just it's mind-boggling but here's what we need to pay attention to of what's happened throughout history you have watched friends even as remarkable as it is the rise and falls of nations very simply come on some of the most powerful nations Egypt rose and fell Babylon rose and fell the Roman Empire rose and fell the British Empire rose and then started fading so here's the point friend every kingdom on the planet earth that has has a birthday but there's only one kingdom that never has a funeral and I will tell you what that kingdom is it's a kingdom not made by hands its kingdom not made by men it is a kingdom that lasts eternal and that kingdom has a king and his name is Jesus Christ the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords and here's one thing about that
King you can't vote him in and you will never vote him out you can never impeach him and you can never have a military coup to overthrow him his kingdom is eternal and he's coming again and he rules and reigns the nations of the world i will tell you that kingdom will never have a funeral and as america's freedom began with the declaration of independence on july 4th 1776 i will tell you true freedom begins when you have a declaration of dependence on the lordship of jesus christ and that's what jesus is doing in john chapter 8 here jesus starts connecting truth truth is not information here truth is a person and it is him it's jesus and everything that flowed out of him was truth and he shows that that truth me he said is the ultimate freedom without doubt america gave us freedom from tyranny but there is a freedom that transcends political freedom and national freedom and that freedom comes through jesus christ himself jesus gives us freedom from the slavery of satan himself the sin he entangles you in and death and he jesus christ gives us eternal life and jesus said i'm telling you john 8 he's looking at the pharisees who were blinded by the truth and even some of those that were following him because they were bound by the slavery of sin and satan himself because they did not have a declaration of dependence upon the lordship of jesus christ and what he'd do at the cross so here's my point there's something that transcends political and national freedom that you will perish and i will perish if we do not have because freedom how many know freedom has a savior and his name is jesus christ right everybody that's why jesus looks at him he says in john 8 36 he says if the son speaking jesus christ himself set you free you are truly free free you are free and he paid the price friends for your freedom and my freedom i want you to look at first peter 118 so powerful what the apostle wrote here look what he said in the inspiration of the holy spirit he says for you know that god paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors and it was not paid with mere gold or silver which loses their value it was the precious blood of christ the sinless spotless lamb of god he paid the price his death his burial his resurrection totally defeated and crushed satan and paid the price for you to be freed from death from sin from slavery and satan himself think about that when you reflect on our nation's freedom you know a phrase that was said by a man by the name of patrick henry on march 20th 1775 at the second virginia convention at saint john's church patrick henry declared over the tyranny of britain great britain and king george the third he said these famous words you know it give me liberty or give me you all know
it but i want to tell you something on the cross jesus did not say give me liberty or give me death jesus christ said give me death so humanity can have liberty from the bonds and the change of satan of eternal death and destruction jesus said i'll take the death so you can be free how many are thankful for that freedom it has a savior here's the myth though when we say freedom in our nation here's what people think freedom is you ready for this listen close to this freedom means having no master no one controls me the truth is every single person on the planet who has sucked in air has a master and it's whatever you give yourself to becomes your master that thing that gives you your sense of worth and value that thing that gives you your identity the thing that you know that if i lose it i perish everybody has a master whether they like it or not but here's what jesus is saying jesus is saying this freedom is having the right master now what look what he says john 8 34 look at this look at this he said i tell you the truth everyone who sins everyone who sins is a slave to what to sin to sin and then you have people says well let me just tell you something nobody tells me what to do nobody tells me what to do oh i love that nobody tells me what to do yet those same people that say that have you ever noticed they said i have no master nobody tells me what to do those same people can i tell you what happens when they get a neck listen When they get ignored, they put a post on social media and they get ignored. They'll check that post 13, 14 times a day to see if anybody agrees with them. Why are you going back 10, 20 times to see if anybody commented on your little rant, you arbiter of truth? And you're always going back looking. And then have you noticed those same people? Nobody controls me, nobody controls me. Isn't it amazing that if someone says nothing, something negative, that person wigs out, stays awake all night, starts getting angry at that person, gets all offended at that person,
never has a conversation with them. Isn't it amazing those same people, nobody controls me, they wig out over a negative comment that they post. They don't even realize it, but they have a mastery and they are addicted to approval and approval is their master. So before you think, no, I don't mean, if they are so bent out of shape and they're staying awake over it, that's their master. That's their master. It really is this, what you fear losing reveals what you truly worship. It does. It reveals what truly controls you. It really controls you who is really the master of my life, the thing you fear the most. It may be someone crushed your ego and now you're just falling to pieces. Someone challenged you and you cannot release the offense. It shows you what really controls you and really who's the Lord. Or your money loses. It's all about your money. Everything's about money. I'm not gonna survive. It's what you're afraid you're gonna lose. It could be a family member that if I lose this, if I lose this, a boyfriend, a girlfriend, if I lose this, I lose it. I'll do whatever I have to do to keep it.
It could be your position. It's proving what really is the Lord. Everybody has a master and here's what Jesus is saying. Jesus Christ is the only Lord that will not crush you or destroy you. The rest will destroy you. It will. How do we know? That's why Jesus says in Matthew 11, 28, then Jesus said, come here, come to me. All you that are weary and you're carrying these heavy burdens that I've gotta have this to give me my identity just for survival, that are wigging out over rejection and gotta have the approval and gotta have this. He said, come to me. Watch. I will give you what? Because freedom has a savior and it's Jesus Christ, the one who defeated death, hell, and the grave. Can somebody say amen to that? Then Jesus points something out, that freedom not only has a savior, but freedom has a family. It has a family. Now look at this, John 8, 35. Jesus says these words. You gotta really break this down. This is good.
I love this. I think I'll take myself out to Texas de Brazil today. I love this. This is so good. A slave is not a permanent member of the family, but a son, and by inference, a daughter as well. He's talking about family language here. These are intimate terms. I love Jesus uses intimate terms. He says, but a son, a daughter, is part of the family forever. Now watch the Jews' response. Watch the Jews' response. You ready for this? This is really good. This one really trips me out. But we are descendants of Abraham, they said. We have never been slaves to anyone. What do you mean? You will be set free. Now at this moment, I'm thinking Jesus is going, right now you guys don't need salvation. You need a healing line because you have lost your mind. And you've obviously have a memory lapse here. We are descendants of Abraham. We have never been slaves to anyone. Really? How about 400 years under Egypt's slavery and bondage? Oh, did you forget Babylon? Did you forget Persia?
Did you forget Greece? How about right now? You are under the oppression of a Roman empire that rules you with fear. And you're gonna sit there and say, we have never been slaves. Isn't that what sin does? It blinds you to the bondage you're actually in. All of the voices, I'm gonna do what I want, I'm free. No one's gonna tell me what to do. I don't wanna listen to this guy. I don't wanna listen to Jesus. I don't wanna listen to what this guy has to say today. Isn't that amazing? They're standing there with freedom himself and declaring they're free. We have never been slaves. You're under Roman oppression right now. In our modern day terms, we'd have said, what are you smoking? This is historically absurd for them to make this statement. They are politically and nationally oppressed right then, and they're claiming their freedom while they're in bondage. Isn't that what sin does to all of us? So here's what Jesus does. Jesus exposes the deeper issue that they will not deal with. He's exposing that you can actually be physically free, but spiritually in slavery to Satan and death and his bondage. But he's saying you can be physically imprisoned, yet spiritually free and encounter the presence of God in the midst of your physical bondage. So Jesus is saying, you want to know what the greatest slavery is? You want to know the greatest slavery is believing that you're free because no one's going to
tell me what to do, but yet you're enslaved and Satan's changed that. So look what he says again. Let's go to verse 35. He said, the slave is not a permanent member. The slave is not a permanent member of the family, sorry, but a son and by inference a daughter is a part of the family forever. Your blood. Isn't it amazing how you'll put up with a lot of stuff from people that are your blood that you wouldn't put up with other people? And he says, this is the reason why. He says, because the mindset of a slave is, I hope I've done enough to earn the master's favor. So the slave was always working for acceptance, but a son or a daughter, they work from acceptance, not for it. They know there's nothing they can do perform. It is simply the grace and the mercy of the father through Jesus Christ that says you belong when you surrender to Jesus Christ, you belong. And now that I belong, I see what he did and received me when I had absolutely nothing. I want to simply obey. I'm gratitude that I got the life that I wouldn't have had simply because of what he did when I was still a sinner, Sam Rockwell was still a sinner. He died for me and said, that's my boy. That's my girl. And now I want to obey because of that. It's just like, my goodness, I bet this is the best illustration. Let's say you had a child and your child's heart was failing. And the only way for your child to survive and live was a heart transplant. And then you discover you're waiting on the list and you discover a same child, the same age as your child dies, but their heart is good. And your child gets the heart of that child who died.
And now your child gets to live the life that this other kid didn't get to live. What are you going to do? What are you going to do? Are you going to ignore that parent? Are you going to be a real jerk and not send on their birthday, a card? I'm thinking of you. I'm praying for you. My child has life because of your child. We can never thank you enough at Christmas when that child should be around a Christmas tree. Are you going to ignore that? No. You want to do something because you realize that your child is living because someone else gave their life. You want to do things, not because of guilt. You want to do things because of gratitude, because you see life. When you become a follower of Jesus Christ and you see what he did, you want to start doing those things because of your gratitude of what he did for you. He took the death you should have taken, and he's given you the life that you now have in him. Oh, thank you, Jesus. He says, freedom has a family. It has a family. So if it has a family, that means I belong. That means I work not for my acceptance. I'm working from my acceptance. I want to obey. And there are privileges for family. I'll tell you, my son, Nathan, my daughter-in-law, Ashley, my grandsons, they can walk into our house anytime they want.
They don't even have to announce their arrival. And they can go, those boys, they can go straight to my refrigerator and clean it out. I don't care. They can come and they can jump in the pool anytime they want to jump in. They don't have to ask me. They can raid the fridge. In fact, we want them to be around the grandfather and the grandmother. We delight when they get around. But don't you try that. Oh, Pastor Sam, he's such a nice guy. Yeah, just try to walk into my house unannounced. Don't try it because you're not family. And when it comes to Jesus Christ, you are his son and his daughter, and he delights for you to hang out with him. He's wanting it. And he says, here's the access to everything that the father has. Woo. Come on. Help me thank God. Freedom as a family, and we're a part of it through Jesus Christ. All right, this is my last point. I'm coming in for a landing. You're going, wow, this is great. He's getting done early. Hold on, we're not done yet. Freedom also has a path. I want you to see this. Freedom has a path. Now watch this. This is very critical to freedom.
It has a savior. It has a family, so privileges, so you work from acceptance, trying to always instead of gain acceptance, so hum, hum, hum, amen, and it has a path. Here's the path. Jesus said, let's go to verse 31. Jesus said to the people who believed in him, you are truly my disciples if you do what? You do what? That's why he says, I am the vine, you are the branches. You bide me and I bide you. Come on. You're going to bear fruit. He says, if you remain faithful to my teachings, here's what's going to happen. You will know this truth, and this truth will absolutely liberate you, not just for salvation. You'll start seeing God do things in your life because you remain in the teaching of Jesus Christ. If you remain faithful to him, you're going to start seeing truth work out in your life. How many of you, you know, I always make the statement, those of you here first time attenders, give us one year of your life. Come every Sunday for a year, and I want you to look back after a year and see what God does in your life. And people tell me, pastor, I cannot believe the growth, the development. Why? Because truth, when you remain in it, starts transforming you. I wish I knew Spanish. I think it's a romantic language. I could fake it. I looked the part. I could fake it for a little bit, but it's such a romantic language. But there are some people I cannot communicate with because they don't speak English, and I'd love to communicate with them.
But there are others of you that are not Spanish, and you can speak great Spanish probably than some people who aren't Spanish or of Latin American descent. You speak it better. You know why you have a freedom to talk to them and a liberty to talk to them and I don't? It's because you chose to chain yourself to a chair and discipline yourself to stay, remain faithful, to listen to those little laps and learn how to speak Spanish, and I didn't do it. So you have a freedom that I don't have. If you remain in the truth, watch this truth start transforming your life in a way you never dreamed it would do. And you'll experience a freedom because you chose to cling to the teacher, Jesus Christ, and stay faithful to it. Even through all your struggles, you stayed faithful to it and you watched freedom. So let me give you the second myth. The first myth is this. I don't have a master. Everybody has a master. Jesus said you've got to pick the right one because there's only one right one and the rest will crush you. Here's the second myth. Freedom means doing whatever you want to do. That's the second myth. I do whatever I want to do. First one, I have no master, do what I want to do. Jesus points something out. Here's what he's saying. Real freedom is becoming what you were created to be and designed by God to do. I'm going to say this again. Please don't miss this. Please do not miss this because that's the thinking of a lot of Americans.
I do whatever I want to do. I got my rights. Do what I want. No, real freedom is becoming what you were created to be and designed to do. So what is our soul, your soul designed to do? That ought to be the question. What's your soul designed for? And then once you know what your soul is designed for, then your desires must line up with that design for you to fulfill what God designed you to do. See, there are things that I'm designed for, but I just don't do. Some of you say, I want more energy. Want more energy. I know my body can be more healthy. I want more energy more stamina I want to be more alert, but you have a desire that you really love ice cream and pork rinds every night Are you tracking with me? if You want to have the true design? Then somewhere along the line you're gonna have to give up pork rinds and ice cream every night. I Don't know why I pick pork rinds and ice cream. I don't know they don't even sound right does it They're just something wrong with that man up there Are you tracking with me? So that can tell me that there are things that people are designed to do but their desire has not been to follow the teacher and That's why my life is falling apart Apart You were designed for something But now your desire when you find out what you're designed for Then I want to do every desire that aligns me with that design So, how do we know who the designer is? Well, here's what you were originally craving Here's what I was originally created for you. Let me tell you the ultimate purpose. I was created for God's pleasure
God wanted a family and he wanted Sam. He said I need a Sam He Created you that way For you to delight in him and him to delight in you. It's like winning my grandkids over. I Love it Sure, it's a mess. Sure. I gripe after clean for the mess, but I want him there How many you just like that? Hi, they don't ever show up then they show up You gripe Okay, God heal us from that. Amen So I was originally designed For God's pleasure and for me to delight in him and he did the light in you and me So if he designed me that means he's the designer That means there is an architect to everything built. He is the architect and guess what? He just didn't create you and design you and then said figure it out yourself. What did he do? He gave you up. He gave you a blueprint and the blueprint is the Word of God and the Holy Spirit That's What he gave you so you can make sure God what is your desire you design me You created me. That's why that's why King David said this in Psalm 139 Look at verse 13 you made all the delicate you made me you made all the delicate Inner parts of my body and knit knit me together in my mother's womb Look at that that child inside a mother's womb Created there by God fearfully and wonderfully made. He said you saw me before I was born King David said every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed God said I have a design for your life. I have a purpose for your life But if you want to if you want to find that purpose the architect designs you here is the blueprint To show you how to focus your desires toward that design Just as much as you pay attention to the owner's manual of everything you buy Every car has an owner's manual. So did God give you one because he created you and he said here's the blueprint Here it is
And he says when you follow me and you know that I created you then start aligning your desires because sometimes pork rinds and Ice-cream is not going to get you to the ultimate design of what you really are supposed to do Follow the blueprint the Word of God But nobody tells me what to do I Can be what I want to be who want to be? No freedom is becoming what you were created to be and designed to do Then you know the freedom. Oh, well, I just want to do nobody's gonna tell me what to do Tell that to the goldfish who says I hate this bowl and I hate this water Why is he gasping Because he forgot What he was created for and what he was designed to do And he had a desire for something because this glass is just this I live in a glass bowl everybody sees me I want to get out of this glass bowl. I really want to live and I really want to be free But guess what instead of freedom he discovers slavery bondage and death And that's why Jesus looked at those people and said I can tell you what real freedom really is It's the declaration of total dependence on me because freedom does have a path and it does have a family and it only comes through one the Savior who's willing to pay the price for you to have the freedom that you were designed to have that's why Paul wrote in Romans 8 3 he sent his own what says he sent his own son in a body like the bodies we sinners have and in that body God declared an end to sins control over you and me by giving his son as a sacrifice for all our sins have me ready to find freedom and a declaration of dependence on the one that paid the price set you free and gave you the path a man gave it
