You’re going to forget who God says you are. Constantly. Sometimes in the middle of a single day.

The skill isn’t never forgetting. The skill is coming back fast.

TODAY’S TRUTH You will forget who you are. The work is to come back to it quickly.

THE READ “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.” — Isaiah 43:1

Same verse from Day 1. Worth coming back to.

In your own words — what's this saying to you?

THE REAL Here’s what forgetting looks like. You’re walking through your day. Everything’s fine. Then someone says something to you, or you hear a voice in your head, or you do something stupid — and suddenly you’re back in an old name. Failure. Idiot. Worthless. Not enough. The name you were standing in this morning is gone. You’re back to your old name like you’d never left it.

This will happen to you. A lot. It happens to everybody. It happened to the saints in the Bible. Peter, who walked on water with Jesus, denied even knowing Him three times a few days later. The forgetting is built into being human.

The skill is not to never forget. The skill is to come back to who you are quickly.

Build a return move. A short prayer, a verse, a phrase you say when you catch yourself in the old name. “That’s not my name. He calls me His.” Or just the verse: “I have summoned you by name; you are mine.” Or whatever lands for you.

The faster you can return, the less damage the forgetting does. At first you’ll go a whole day in the old name before you remember. Then half a day. Then an hour. Then a few minutes. Eventually, you can catch it in a few seconds.

You’re not failing because you keep forgetting. You’re growing because you keep coming back faster.

PULL UP When did you last forget who God says you are? What did you forget into?

Write it out — don't just think it:

THE MOVE Today, build your return move. Pick a phrase, a verse, or a prayer. Use it the next time you catch yourself in an old name.

Did it today?  ☐ Yes   ☐ Not yet — what happened when you did?

TRACK IT What’s your return move?
