Coming to Life: The Silent Years

God created humanity to have a relationship with them, despite their continuous unfaithfulness. After humanity’s fall into sin, God provided a way to maintain this relationship through sacrifices and guidance on living a holy life. However, despite warnings from prophets and multiple acts of mercy, the people continued to sin, leading to their exile. God, in His justice, allowed them to be restored but remained silent for 400 years after their repeated disobedience, preparing for the arrival of Jesus Christ, who would ultimately redeem humanity.

During the 400 years of God’s silence, significant events unfolded in the world, such as the fulfillment of old prophecies and the rise and fall of empires. Despite the silence, God was at work, setting the stage for the birth of Jesus Christ, which would break the silence and fulfill His promise of redemption. The silence ended with the announcement of John the Baptist’s birth, who would prepare the way for Jesus, culminating in the most pivotal event in history: the life, death, and resurrection of Christ.
