Coming to Life: 2 Timothy

In Paul’s second letter to Timothy, written around 67 AD, he addresses his dear friend from a cold Roman prison, knowing his execution under Emperor Nero is imminent. Paul reflects on his life and ministry, acknowledging his suffering and the abandonment by former followers. This heartfelt letter is filled with encouragement for Timothy to remain strong in the faith despite the increasing challenges. Paul anticipates that things will become more difficult for Timothy after his death, urging him to continue teaching the truth and to rely on the spirit of power, love, and self-discipline. He reminds Timothy that all Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for guiding the church.
