I didn't know what an altar was and this song was playing. And it was the first time that I ever knelt at an altar. I was 16 years old.

And it was the first time that I ever cried out to a man named Jesus. I pray that it ministered to you. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. Love you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. We have our Bible declaration. You guys ready? This is my Bible. It is God's Word to me, my guide and my strength. I bring it ready to learn. I open it with faith in Jesus. I live it with courage. Without it, I grow weak. With it, I grow strong. Today I bring it, believe it, and obey it in Jesus' name. Amen. Amen. Amen. Today's message is titled, Satan Does Not Attack What He Owns. Satan don't attack what he owns. And, you know, last two weeks we've walked through Palm Sunday, Communion Thursday, Good Friday service, and Resurrection Day. Many call it Holy Week. But the message today is what happens after that? Now what? Satan fails to kill Jesus. Jesus rose again. So just like anybody at war, what is plan B? Because whatever plan B is, we're in the midst of it. And we have to understand and know this because the only reason Jesus was crucified, according to the enemy, because the enemy had plans to kill him. But it didn't work, did it? It didn't work, and because it didn't work, he had to have a different tactic, a different way, a different strategy. And that involves us. If you believe in Jesus, it involves us. So we better know what plan B is for the enemy.

What is his scheme? What is it that he's doing? What is it he's trying to do or attempting to do? So we're going to start today's message in the book of Revelation, chapter 12. Verse 7. Starting at verse 7. You ready? I know much popular belief has read this and taken it out of context. And we think that this war happened before Adam and Eve, before all that. But according to scripture, this war happened after the resurrection. Yes, Satan was the enemy, yes, from the very beginning, but I'm talking about this war. How many of you know that a lot of times before there's a war, there's issues, there's problems? See, that was all the way from the beginning, but the actual war broke out. And we're going to see that after the resurrection. It says, now war arose in heaven. Michael and his angels fighting against the dragon. And the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was defeated. And there was no longer any place for them in heaven. And the great dragon was thrown down. That ancient serpent, who was the serpent? Where was that at? In the Garden of Eden. So this is talking past tense, that same one, that ancient serpent, who was called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world. He was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him. So we know that there's a war, that Satan had access to heaven. We know that in the book of Job. We know that in other passages, that Satan had access. But the moment war began, access was no longer granted. I put it this way, in the same way, when we go to war with another nation,

what's the first thing we do, is we get our ambassadors back. Because we reach a certain point, where we're negotiating through the ambassadors, we're negotiating through people, but once war is declared, that's it. So we see that he's thrown out, and thrown down to the earth, and his angels with him. In verse 10, it says, and I heard a loud voice in heaven saying, now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ have come. Was there salvation in the beginning? No. Was there salvation in the book of Exodus? No. Salvation didn't happen until the resurrection. So this even shows you here, that now that this war happened, and now that Satan is thrown out, there's a voice that says, now salvation has come, because he rose again. And the authority of his Christ have come. Why is this? For the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down. Real quick footnote, if this war happened before Adam and Eve, then why would it say that the accuser of our brothers, if there was no brothers yet to accuse? So we know that this war happened, and it says that his brothers have been thrown down. I'm sorry. For the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God. And they have conquered him by the blood of the lamb, and by the word of their testimony. For they loved not their lives, even unto death. This is the part I want to get to though, is verse 12. So this voice that's speaking, it says, therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them.

They're like, man, let's party. He's out of here. He has no access. He can't come in here. He can't be accusing. That is done. He's out of here. Let's rejoice. But woe to those, O earth and sea, for the devil has come down to you in great wrath, because he knows that his time is short. And I've said it. You've heard me say it many times, but maybe somebody didn't hear it, that a lot of times it's very dangerous, because I know in Christianity, we love to say, oh, Satan's defeated. He's under my feet, and all this and that. And yes, in essence, it's true, but you have to think of it this way. He's defeated in heaven, but he's still on this earth. The reason I say be careful when you say that is because when you don't think someone's a threat, then you put your walls down and turn your back, and the whole time he's attacking your home, attacking your family, attacking your marriage, attacking your children, because you're over here thinking he's defeated. He was defeated in heaven. If he was already defeated, then why... Does the Bible say that we don't fight against flesh and blood, but against principalities and high places, if he was already defeated, why does the Bible say to bring every thought and subjection in Christ Jesus, if he was defeated, then why does the Bible say for us to destroy the strongholds of the enemy? He was defeated up there, but we're behind enemy lines. And here's the thing.

He couldn't kill Jesus. So he gets thrown out. He got 86th from heaven. And he's coming with great wrath because he, have you ever, sometimes people are so angry, so hateful, and they can't hurt you, but they'll hurt the ones you love. The enemy could not touch Jesus. So what does he do? He declares war on his children. And he comes with great wrath, knowing that his time is short. Wow. So we gotta be on point. We have to be vigilant. We have to be watchful. So many men, when you go into a restaurant, you do not put your back to the front door. But why is it that we put our back to the enemy in the midst of our own families? There's this old, old author named Sun Tzu. He wrote the art of war. And there's something interesting that he said, really interesting. If some of you have read that book, it's really old, thousands of years old. And look what he said. He said, in the practical art of war, the best thing of all is to take the enemy's country whole and intact. To shatter and destroy it is not so good. So too, it is better to recapture an entire army than destroy it. To capture a regiment, a detachment, or a company entire than to destroy them. So he's saying, why is it better? Why go into a nation and completely destroy it? Because then you've got nothing left for spoils. It is better to capture an entire army than to destroy it. It is better to take it whole and intact.

And it's interesting because I think sometimes when we think of the enemy coming with great wrath, we believe that he wants to destroy the church. But if he destroys the church, then what good is it? It is better if he just takes it over intact and whole. That's wild. If somebody wants your field, because you have a vineyard and you have acres and acres of grapes, and there's a hater that can't stand the fact that you have grapes, and he wants what you have, and he's trying to scheme and do things, why would he burn your field if he wants to take it? Because then he has nothing to get. He doesn't want to burn the field. He just wants to manipulate you out of it. And we have to think this way because it's interesting that this person wrote that it is better to take whole and intact instead of shatter and destroy. The enemy has tried and tried and tried and succeeded in many times in not destroying or shattering the church, but instead recaptured it. Regiment by regiment, detachment by detachment, company by company, or let's say switch it, denomination by denomination, church by church, group by group, and leader by leader. What good would it do if the enemy came and destroyed the church rather than just take the whole thing whole? You want to know what plan B is? I believe this is a strategic understanding that the enemy is playing chess and us, we think he's playing checkers. He knows he could not win the church by attacking it from the outside. How do we know that? Because Jesus says on this rock, I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it. So Satan knows he knows and understands because of the one that said that is the one that rose again, that death couldn't defeat him and he rose in power.

And if Jesus says that, that the church was going to be built, then nothing was going to stop it. So why even try? Instead, he knew he couldn't win it from the outside. So the next sensible thing is infiltration, infiltration, infiltration. to infiltrate. I don't have the definition of it, but hold on. Definition of infiltration. Infiltration is a process of passing into or through a substance by filtering, filtering through, or permeating, implying a gradual, stealthy, or abnormal entry. Filtering through, permeating through, that the enemy understands that the next step is to infiltrate that which he can't destroy. And, you know, we could sit here for weeks talking about church history of how this has happened. What has the enemy done for the last 2,000 years to the church? It would take weeks and weeks of this. But, I will say this, in the last 2,000 years, the church was institutionalized. The church was taken over by government in many nations. Baptism became just mere symbolism. Communion just turned into a custom. Baptism of the Holy Ghost was done away with. Healing and preaching was, healing was preached but not believed. And demons were made into Halloween costumes but never cast out. The enemy has infiltrated and we don't even know it because the infiltration literally means to permeate, to slowly go through. The other day, yesterday, Brother Jose gave a lot of us a bunch of fruit. And we have this bowl of lemons. And I happened to be standing by the counter and I looked and I noticed one of them was turning green on the bottom. It was getting moldy. And it was starting to affect the ones it was touching. And obviously, it did the obvious thing as I grabbed it and threw it away. But here's the thing, I had passed by that bowl of lemons for the last few days, didn't notice it because it permeated, it filtered through, it came in unannounced. And before you realize it, there's rot. And this is exactly what the enemy does. So we think like, Satan's gonna attack us because, you know, people are gonna protest outside of our church or this or that. And the enemy's like, why am I gonna do that? I would just permeate and filter through the church and destroy it from the inside out. Demons are not casted out. Instead, we want to counsel demons. Power demonstrated not by the Spirit of God, but by the power of promotion. You know, a mortician, the mortician's job is to take a dead person and make that dead person look like they're sleeping so

people can have a great service. So people can say goodbye. And a lot of times churches have become professional morticians. Instead of speaking life into the church, they just dress you up to make you look alive. And the church is dressed up and the Spirit of God isn't moving, so let's get a bigger band, more instruments, louder speakers, bigger speakers, bigger subwoofers, more lights, more fog, more this, more that, because it's a mortician's job to make a church look alive. But the enemy has infiltrated the churches throughout the nations. This is the good news, though, is that God has always had a remnant. A remnant are those that refuse. Even Elijah, when he was in the cave, and God says, what are you doing in the cave? Come out. And Elijah was like, well, I'm the only one that's serving you. And God says, you think I don't have thousands that haven't bowed to the other gods. You're not alone. And he's saying that to you here at House of Rest or whoever's watching, you are not alone. You know, I get letters from prisons of men saying, I want to serve God, I'm serving God, but I feel like I'm the only one. And then I'll get another letter from the same prison on a different side of the prison saying, man, I feel like I'm the only one. God will always have his remnant. In 2nd Timothy, chapter 3. Starting at 1. We're going to read 2 Timothy chapter 3, 1 through 5. Alright. Paul is writing, this is actually Paul's last letter. This is where Paul was beheaded. He was decapitated for preaching the gospel. And Timothy was his student. Paul had many students, but this student was so close he considered him a son. We know that Timothy was a young man. We knew that Paul knew Timothy's mother. Paul knew Timothy's grandmother. And they were women of God. And this is his last letter to Timothy. Matter of fact, his last known letter that we have. And he says this, and he gives a warning to Timothy, but I believe this is a warning to us. 2 Timothy chapter 3 verse 1 through 5, it says, but understand this,

that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. Tell me if this matches today. For people will be lovers of self in the day and age of selfies. Lovers of money. Proud. Arrogant. Abusive. Disobedient to their parents. Ungrateful. Unholy. Heartless. Unappeasable. Slanderous. Without self-control. Brutal. And not loving good. Treacherous. Reckless. Swollen with conceit. Lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God. Having the appearance of godliness but denying its power. Avoid such people. Paul was writing this to Timothy, but I feel like he was writing it to us today. That in the last days, all of these things fit, don't they? You know the worst part is the fact that we can take this and say, man the world is like that, but I can take that and say sometimes the church is like this. And if we can say, okay, I'm going to read it real quick again, I want you to think now, not outside the church, not the lost, not the drug addict, not the gang member, within the church. Because if you can say that this is happening in the church, then you know it's true that he is infiltrated. He is permeated. He is filtered through. Where people in the church will be lovers of self. Lovers of money. Proud and arrogant. Abusive. Disobedient to their

parents. Ungrateful. Holy. Heartless. Unappeasable. Slanderous. Without self-control. Brutal. Not loving good. Treacherous. Reckless. Swollen with conceit. Lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God. And they have the appearance of godliness, but they deny his power. I'm pretty convinced that the enemy has permeated, filtered, infiltrated the church. How can we read that and not come to that conclusion? But I am convinced that Satan does not attack every single church because why should he? Why should he attack that which he already owns? Why do I say that? It's because if the enemy is not attacking you, then you already belong to him. And if the enemy is attacking you, and your family, and your marriage, and your children, and your job, and your finances, and your health, I'm not saying he's winning. But I will say this. In this world, we live in a fallen world. Horrible things happen, man. We can't gloss over that. But when those things happen, where is your faith? Where is your faith? Because when everything is going good, it's easy to worship God, and praise God, and glory to God. But when everything goes wrong, when the worst happens where are you in your faith? Because the enemy will not attack what he already owns. I think this is something that needs to be well thought about and prayed about and and really not pointing fingers but

looking in the mirror and saying I don't want to be infiltrated. I don't want to be filtered through. I don't want to be permeated. I want to stand with you Lord. I want to be unshakable unto you God. I want to hold true to what your word says. I don't want to be led by fables. I don't want to be led by the pleasures of this world. I want to be led by your word and your word alone. And in Matthew chapter 4 when Jesus was tempted there's something really interesting I want to show you guys in Matthew chapter 4 starting at verse 1. We know that Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist and the Bible says that the Holy Spirit led him into the wilderness and Jesus was fasting for 40 days and 40 nights. You know what's interesting is Satan didn't come on day one. The enemy came to tempt Jesus on the last day, on the hardest day, on the worst day. So I just want you to just keep that in mind right as the enemy is not going to wait for you to be your strongest. He's going to wait for you to be at your weakest. This is and here's the thing this is when we least watch out. This is when we least pay attention. I'm going to read through I'm going to get to a certain part of this but I'm going to kind of read through it also we get the right context. I'm going to start at 1 through 11. It says Jesus was led out by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil and after fasting 40 days and 40 nights he was hungry and the tempter came and said to him if you are the son of God command these stones to become loaves of bread. But he answered it is written man should not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of God. Then the devil took him to the holy city and set him high in the pinnacle of the temple and said to him if you are the son of

God throw yourself down for it is written he will command his angels concerning you and on their hands they will bear you up lest you strike your foot against the stone. But Jesus said to him again it is written you shall not put the Lord your God to the test. Again the devil took him to a very high mountain showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory and he said to him all these I will give you if you will fall down and worship me. Then Jesus said to him be gone Satan for it is written you shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve. Then the devil left him and behold angels came and were ministering to him. This I want to zero in on the part where where Satan takes Jesus to the pinnacle on a high area and he says look at all of these kingdoms he says I will give them all to you all you got to do is bow and worship me. What I find very interesting is that and I've some of you heard me say that Jesus never argued that Jesus never told him hey those aren't your kingdoms to give if you notice Jesus did not argue it. So in essence by default it means that Satan is the ruler of all the earthly kingdoms and he offered them to Jesus said all you got to do is worship me. So think about that so he Jesus is the Messiah the anointed one he is the Lord and if Jesus tempted Jesus if Satan tempted I'm sorry if Satan tempted Jesus that way what makes us think that he doesn't tempt Christians that way? Leaders, pastors, content creators, YouTubers, podcasters, Christian rappers, gospel singers, musicians in this way if he took the enemy to a high position and said I will give all of this to you just bow to me if he did that to the Lord what makes you think he won't do it to us? How does the enemy infiltrate like that?

Because so many times people get drunk with power and they get drunk with riches or they get drunk with notoriety or they get drunk with fame or they get drunk with whatever and the enemy says, man, I'll give that church to you. I'll give you the biggest ministry in the whole world. All you got to do is bow to me and I will give it to you. I'll give you that Bentley. I'll give you this. I'll give you that. You have the biggest church and all of this stuff. I will give it all to you, but just worship me. How do we worship? So does that mean this pastor is going to go and have a little, little statue of Satan and worship? No. You worship him by allowing him to filter, permeate and infiltrate the church. I'll give you the biggest ministry. Just don't lead them to him, lead them to love themselves, lead them to whatever it is. I don't care what you preach. Don't preach him. You know, I don't, I can't imagine nothing worse. It's one thing to live a lie. It's another thing to stand behind a pulpit and preach lies for your own, for your own, whatever it is that you need or want or whatever. It is better to preach truth to two people than 2000 lies. How do I know that? Because the thing was, Noah took decades to build the ark, telling people a flood is coming. The Lord is going to send a mighty flood and the people didn't listen. Matter of fact, when the rains came, the only ones that listened were his family. But the Bible says that God found Noah righteous.

So what does that tell me? That God could care less how many thousands of followers you have. God found Noah righteous, not because of the amount of people he brought, but because of the righteousness of his message. It is better to preach truth. And second Timothy chapter four, verse three. Second Timothy chapter four, verse three, let me know when you have it, we could hear some pages. You know, while you're looking for that, while you're looking for that, I am, I grew up in little churches, little tiny churches and all the chairs were mismatched and the sink was really stained and the toilet wobbled and the lock usually didn't work and the air condition was a swamp cooler, it wasn't an air condition, so that just made everybody humid. And things, the service was kind of clunky and it wasn't perfect. And you would hear the preacher say, open your Bibles and you'll hear the pages. And because everything now is, you want to condense a message into 20 minutes and you've got to not have dead air time on cameras, because God forbid people get bored that are watching online and all these things. And I get that to a certain extent, I understand that. I try to have a service that not only is fruitful, but enjoyable for you here, but for those that are watching through the screen, I get that, I understand that, but some things need to go back to the way it was. That's why I'm just like, well, you're going to have a year of discipleship, let's put some brighter lights in here, let's bring our Bibles. And you know what? If there's 10 seconds of dead air of people flipping to the scriptures, let us be a scriptural biblical church rather than something that is just super polished. I believe that's important. I believe we need to come back. The church needs to come back.

That is not dead air time, that is time for people to open their Bibles. In 2 Timothy chapter 4 verse 3, again he warns Timothy, he says, for the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but have itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions. What does that mean? See a lot of times we see these preachers or ministries that are teaching watered down fake false teaching and gospel and we're like, oh the poor people, the poor people, they're being deceived. Anybody can go and buy the Bible. We don't live in a nation where this is illegal. You could go to Barnes and Nobles, you could go to Dollar Tree. Why do I say that? Because a lot of times we're like, oh the poor people, they're being deceived. Man, a lot of times people are being deceived because they want to be deceived. Because they don't want to know the Jesus of the Bible because it doesn't pertain or fit the life that they want to live. So they find a watered down church because they have itching ears so they will accumulate for themselves teachers that will suit their own passions. I want truth. We should want truth and sometimes truth hurts. This is how the enemy attaches his puppet strings to a church and he permeates and infiltrates and filters through and pretty soon they're all led by his strings. And here's the worst part of it, right? Is if there's ten people going that way and you're going this way because you know this is the right way, they will make you think you're crazy because the whole crowd is going that way. But you know that's not the direction, it needs to go this way. And sometimes when you serve the Lord and you read your word and you try to live according to the word, not make the word live up to you, you will find yourself alone. You will find yourself lonely.

You will find yourself set apart. You will find yourself that all these Christians are doing this and all these Christians are doing that. But something in the Spirit says don't go that way. Don't go that way. Follow the lead that I'm showing you because I will light the footsteps that you take. But it's a lonely place. You might have to write these scriptures down because there's a few of them that I want to hit. First Corinthians 1433. I'm going to show you ways on how this happens. I'm pointing at the flyer for those of you online. How does this happen? How can we prevent it? Because ultimately that's what I want to talk about here. How do we prevent Satan from tying his strings to house of rest or to you? Number one, the enemy will bring confusion. First Corinthians 1433. First Corinthians 1433. First of all, he brings confusion. He wants to bring confusion and doubt. But the Bible says, for God is not a God of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints. So number one thing is, Lord, you don't bring confusion. What's the opposite of confusion is order. We can't just do any old thing or this or that, whatever. We can't do that. If we play tug of war and you're pulling that way, and some of you are pushing the rope, you're not going to win because everybody's doing their own thing. We got to say, listen, this is the objective, man.

We got to pull this thing together. We got to do this together. Imagine a football team that had no plays. They had no plays and no coach. They just went out and did whatever. How's that team going to do? Are they going to make it to the Super Bowl? No. Imagine a football team where nobody's a quarterback. Nobody's just like, whatever. God is not a God of confusion but of peace. So this is what we're going to do. how the enemy's going to do it. One of the ways he's going to attach his puppet strings is by bringing confusion. Number two, misinformation. It started in the very beginning. God spoke to Adam. Adam talked to Eve and told him what God said. And then Eve finds herself wandering in the garden and the serpent is there and says, basically, why don't you eat of this? And she says, I can't eat of that tree. And the serpent says, did God say? Misinformation. He says, are you sure he said that? And you will read your Bible and you know what the spirit is telling you. You know, the spirit bears witness to the scripture, but you see the church doing all this stuff and doing all that stuff and doing this. And so you start questioning, did God say? So not only does he bring confusion, he will bring misinformation. That is why we need to bring our Bibles, read our Bibles. When I preach, it should not be me teaching you. It should be me giving you confirmation of what God has been telling you all week long. I'm not here to, to, I'm not Moses. I'm not here to get a word from the Lord on the mountain. And then every Sunday come back down and tell you what the Lord said. It don't work that way. I'm sorry. Your job is not to come on Sunday and just sit here to see what God is telling the pastor on the mountain. Your job is to come and get confirmation of what God is speaking into your life, into your family, into your marriage. You should be coming and saying, man, that's what God showed me. Misinformation. Here's the other way that he will entice the flesh.

First John chapter two, verse 16. First John chapter two, verse 16. Enticed by the flesh. First John two 16 says this for all that is in the world, the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life is not from the father, but is from the world. So the enemy is going to come and try to infiltrate, permeate, filter through the church and bring confusion will bring misinformation and will entice the flesh. See a lot of times we think flesh and we think sex. That's one thing, but our flesh can be enticed by all kinds of things. It could be riches and fame and all of these things that we want and we're enticed by those things. They're like, man, you know, I want to be like that. I want to be like this. I want to, you're enticed by the flesh. So we have to be careful because we can't be enticed by the flesh and be in the spirit. Confusion, misinformation, enticed by the flesh, just those three things can put hooks into the church, hooks into your family, hooks into you and me. These are things that we got to look out for. I always like to tell people cause they're like, man, you know, you know, some Christians do this and some Christians say I shouldn't. What do you think pastor? And they want this long old one hour lecture and I'm just like, oh, that's easy. Does whatever it is you're thinking about, does it please the flesh or does it please the spirit? Well, you put it that way. I said, yeah, session's done. I mean, just come on. It's really easy. Same thing when you have single people and man, I just met this guy I met this girl and you know I think god sent them to me really so I I don't know pastor. Can you give me some you know, help me thinking they're gonna they get relaxed like they're gonna sit For an hour so i'll get to answer that real quick. Do they bring you closer to the lord or further from the lord? Session's done You want to lie to yourself, you know the truth You just want to lie yourself then that's fine, but i'm not going to waste an hour to fight through your lies that you're going to believe anyways So what's it going to be Here's another one that the enemy would do

Is false religion First john chapter 4 verse 1 You First john chapter 4 verse 1 This is a big one First john chapter 4 verse 1 This is beloved Do not believe every spirit But test the spirits To see whether they are from God For many false prophets have gone out into the world Why is that scripture saying this because John knew Now, let me let me get some a little bit of backdrop on this. This is John the youngest Apostle This is John. He was the one that was A dipped in boiling oil. He's the one that wrote the book of Revelation. So when he's writing this book, he's no longer a young man But this by this time by the time John wrote first John all the other disciples were dead because they had been killed So he was the last one imagine that's a big deal Right if all of a sudden John is coming to your church to talk because he's the last one living that sat with Jesus Like he knew the voice of the Lord He had actually got a piece of bread when Jesus would pray for the bread and break it and he'd hand a piece over to John, so so John was like a grandfather to the churches and What one thing John started to see over the years as he got older he started to see false teachings come into the church He saw false things happening and and so he got to this point he just like This this thing that Jesus started called the way it's starting to become permeated and filtered it started to become infiltrated and He gave this wisdom. He says beloved, you know, because again, I want you to picture an old man and He everybody in the congregation. He sees as his children his spiritual children He's like beloved don't believe every spirit

But test the spirits To see whether they are from God For many false prophets have gone out into the world Be very careful Whether it's a church or a YouTube channel or a Documentary or something put together really well You got to be really careful We want to be believers that go after the word but understanding the word is really important because it's not just reading in it It's understanding it because if not, then misinformation can happen confusion can happen Enticement of the flesh can happen and because of that false religion will happen And we can't have that We don't want a false religion And that is really a dangerous thing so we have to test the spirits I Don't care if you're the loudest one here worshiping the loudest if your life doesn't match shit that means nothing if you're preaching or singing or whatever it is and you got the most beautiful voice as you're worshiping god but your life doesn't follow after the word then your words and your singing mean nothing you can build the biggest ministry and have all of these things it could be a a christian artist or whatever it is but if the word of god is not being set an example in your life then that means nothing it means nothing it's a false religion and lastly witchcraft we hear witchcraft if we could go to galatians chapter 5 19 and as you're searching i'm gonna you we got to understand something about witchcraft witchcraft is not somebody with the black pointy hat witchcraft is literally manipulation domination and control if you are manipulating somebody you are practicing witchcraft if you are dominating somebody

you are practicing witchcraft if you are trying to control everybody it is practicing witchcraft here's the flip side to that before we read that though because somebody will come in the church and they're already confused they're already believing the misinformation they're already enticed by the flesh and they'll hear a pastor preach something that is scriptural and we want to shut that down because we know that this person is a cancer and that person will flip it and say oh you're practicing witchcraft pastor because you're trying to be dominating you're trying to manipulate no i'm not i'm just calling truth for truth why because we should be able to say does my life follow the fruit of the word and does yours that's all you got to do does this is there fruit in your life is there fruit in your walk because if there's no fruit then it is manipulation domination and control in the book of galatians 5 19 it says this this is now the works of the flesh are evident sexual immorality impurity sensuality idolatry that's the worship of idols sorcery enmity strife jealousy fits of anger rivalries dissensions divisions envy drunkenness orgies and things like these he says i warn you as i warned you before that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of god as the church as a whole i'm not talking about house of rest i'm talking about just christianity itself is there confusion in the churches yes is there misinformation in the churches yes is there enticement of the flesh in the churches yes

is there false religion in the churches yes is there manipulation domination and control so we only come to the conclusion that this has happened so we gotta have choice to make here are we going to follow after the crowd are we going to follow after jesus that's what this whole thing comes down to and this is very important because it says and i'm going to go quickly here 2 corinthians 11 14 it says no wonder for even satan disguises himself as an angel of light remember we read that scripture earlier says having the appearance of godliness but denying its power avoids such people. So the example that I said when Jesus was taken to a pinnacle and Satan told him all you got to do I'll give all of these kingdoms to you all got to do is bow down to me. I remember reading that and the revelation came to me that if anything is man-built here on earth church or ministry whatever by default because the bible says satan is the god of this world so if we build a ministry based on the flesh our own desires or our own agendas or whatever by default it falls under the kingdom of darkness and if that happens he's not going to attack the church that he owns so instead of having a worldly church a ungodly church a place that is permeated filtered and manipulated and infiltrated it is better to build the kingdom of god because when it's of god it doesn't belong to this earth it belongs to another place because we're not of this world so we got to make a choice of what kind of believer we're going to be are we going to be a believer that falls under the jurisdiction of satan are we going to follow the lord and what he says

because i will say this for those of you that say well i don't want to fall into any of those things when james 1 12 it says this blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life which god has promised to those who love him i don't know about you but i want to be blessed and it says here that if we remain steadfast under trial if we stand the test of the stood through the test we will receive the crown of life which god has promised in galatians 6 9 it says let us not grow weary of doing good for in due season we will reap if we do not give up that was galatians 6 9 so i i get it sometimes it's tiring sometimes it's like man people saying jesus coming he's been saying it every year every year every year but listen what he says let us not grow weary of doing good because in due season we will reap if we don't give up and finally in romans 5 3 4 says not only that but we rejoice in our sufferings why knowing that suffering produces endurance and endurance produces character and character produces hope we need to rejoice in hope be patient in tribulation and be constant in prayer church don't ever allow someone to break you don't ever let someone else tell you who you are don't ever let someone make you feel small don't ever let someone say you can't do it don't ever let someone make you feel let someone make you feel unworthy don't ever let someone speak death over

you don't ever let someone break you you stand strong and stand in the word and if the crowd is going one way and the spirit is telling you another follow after the lord and what it is that he's saying to do don't let someone else dictate your life don't let some other ministry dictate your life go to a place where you're going to learn not to hear what god is telling the pastor but confirming what god has been telling you all along because if you stand strong and not let somebody break you you will get through you will pass through this thing called life when you know who you are in christ nobody can break you do not budge do not budge you want to quit do not budge some of you are on the verge of quitting this you're like this is the last sunday i'm gonna do this do not budge hold fast stand strong be grounded Let your roots grow deep because nobody can break you when you know who you are. Do not budge Do not shake be immovable. I refuse to play by satan's rules. He will not string me up You know Maybe the church here house of rest, maybe we'll never have the funding that other places have but you know what we have jesus Yeah And i'm good with that And maybe we won't ever be the biggest church in modesto, but that's not even where i'm even thinking. All I know is that we have jesus What else is there? There's a reason because it's the best of the best And I truly believe that god has called you to be special forces for his kingdom The best of the best and while others have fallen away you stand strong Jesus is a senior pastor of this church And this pulpit will always belong to him He is exalted here. We're not going to bring this things. We're going to come together We're going to talk our differences out. We're going to communicate we're going to speak to each other We're going to push each other. We're going to encourage each other so we can keep going and standing strong for the kingdom of god In the last verse matthew 5 11 through 13 Matthew 5 11 through 13 On those days when you're lonely on those days when you feel like you're the only one When you feel the weight of the world is on your shoulders, I want you to come to this verse And these are the words of jesus He says blessed are you When others revile you And persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account This is jesus saying that He says rejoice and be glad For your reward is great in heaven For so they persecuted the prophets who were before you And they are going to do the same to you I remember when I read this verse and it really hit me Then I realized Satan doesn't attack what he owns

Satan attacked those who would not fall under him And if that's the case Then the world is going to revile you And they're going to say all kinds of evil things about you falsely and jesus is he knew that he understood that And he's saying you know what when the whole world is against you rejoice Rejoice because this is the same way they persecuted the prophets Rejoice in it And blessed are you? And you know what? I'm good with that If the lord says he's gonna bless me through no matter what then i'm gonna go through no matter what For his name Because he is worthy of praise He is worthy of worship. He is worthy. All other gods are statues, but his tomb is empty And we have to understand That the enemy is on plan b And plan b is us on the target We have to keep that in mind It's important that we stand fast and firm You know as you know Our leaders were flying to Texas and I just got this note And the Sharon brought to me and I'm just gonna read it They they got on a plane in Sacramento, you know supposed to be a layover in LAX and from LAX to Houston and It says here Something happened. It says we need help Our Spanish pastors and staff were taken off of the plane because they did not pass the flight check and And it caused them to miss their connecting flight in LA and had to cancel their flight

They're supposed to be in LA for one hour One of the couples left back home Reyes and Veronica raises the drummer Jessica the water though and Oliver had other tickets available to them But one staff member Jennifer and Our Spanish pastors Armando and Lorena are getting reimbursed, but it takes days for them to get it back And they were gonna rent a car but it takes 22 hours to drive and they will not make it on time because Tomorrow they're being recognized for their license The reason they're saying they'll get it reimbursed is because maybe they're hoping It says can we please pick up a love offering to help them get a flight? there is flights out of SFO for all three of them 314 each round trip for tonight so they can be there If there's anyone here again They get a reimbursement back in a few days if there's anyone here because Armando and Lorena Have worked really hard Talked about the enemy So if that is something I want you to talk to Sharon immediately because we got to leave right away for our flight But if God put it on your heart even if it's about the reimbursement, you know I mean, let's say you don't got it But you got it for a few days till they get it back Whatever it is if you can talk to Sharon immediately because I really Don't want them to miss this. This was a message of discernment so we can go in with our eyes open. Lord, the enemy has come down with great wrath knowing he has a short time. But you also said that greater is he who's in us

than he who is in the world. Lord, we pray for boldness. We pray for perseverance. We pray that we fight against the enemy in the same way you did when you were tempted. Every single time the enemy came at you, Lord, you threw scripture at him because the word of God is like a double-edged sword cutting to the marrow of the bone. I pray that we have a hunger to read our word, that we have a hunger to fellowship, that we not fall into these confusion and things of the flesh and domination and manipulation and false religion. But we be a church, Lord, that seeks after you even if sometimes we feel like we're the only ones. We won't worship you by mouth only, but by our hearts. And we just thank you so much, Lord.
