Changing My Season By Changing My Mind | Richie Mullis

back in the day, July 2nd, 1996. It's been 30 years. I know I look 21, but I'm not, and I ended up going back to college, took a semester off, best thing I ever did, was discipled by the same guy that Ryan was, and went back to Lee, and about a month later I met outside of the Lord, the greatest voice in my life, my wife, Leanne, and I met Ryan and Andrea and some others that really, really helped get me to where I'm at, and so I just want to say, I don't know if you're a first time guest, if you are, don't hold it against them, whatever I say today, alright, just come back next week, I promise you, you'll hear a great word next week if you don't today, but I just really want to honor them, and I want you to know that you're under great leadership here. Your pastor just means the world, both of them, but Ryan is one of the best guys I know, I'm just telling you. I told him last night, I'm like, man, do you ever mess up? Do you ever sin? Do you ever do anything wrong? It's like he's the pope, you know? I'm just playing, I'm just playing, but anyway, I just want to honor them, and if they're watching backstage or wherever they are, I just want to say we love you, Leanne and I and our family. I don't know if you have our pictures, but I'm a proud husband and proud father. That's my clan, my three girls, Shirley, Goodness, and Mercy, and I needed Mercy for the last one, and then they have their two husbands there. Do you have the other one of my, that's the wedding picture, yeah, there you go. There's the grand stud right there. We just took him to Disney for a week, and it was all about him. We had eight of us, but it wasn't about any of us but him. Come on, somebody. Anybody got any grandkids out there? Anybody wish you'd have had them first? Yeah, yeah, me too, me too. Acts chapter three, I'm not going to be long today, but I really do believe I have a word for you. I want you to lean in, just receive this. Acts chapter three in verse 19, Peter stands up on the day of Pentecost, he's preaching, and he gets to verse 19, and he says this word, repent. Repent, very ancient, repent then, and turn to God so that your sins may be wiped out, and watch this, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord. He said repent, and times of refreshing will follow. On May 16th, 2024, I did the hardest thing I've ever done in my life up to this point. I loaded up in a little Jeep Patriot, my baby girl in Dallas, Texas, and we drove all the way down to Miami, Florida, where we would drop her off for the summer to do an internship at a church there. Now you're like, well, I've dropped my kids off for school, and I get that, I have too,

but this was different. And on the way down, my pastor called, and we began talking, and he said, well, come stay with us for a few days, and they have a house in Key Largo there, and he said, won't you come stay with us for a few days, and then drop her off, and I said, we shall, so we did. And they reminded me they had a campus in Miami at one time, before they ended up giving it to another ministry. And I was so concerned and so worried, because you know, no shade on Miami, but you know, you hear the stories, you see the movies, and you're like, I'm dropping my baby girl off in Miami, Florida. This is surreal. If you'd have told me this when I was holding her as a baby, I'd have been like, there is no way I would ever do that. And but they began to put me to rest. They said, hey, Miami's okay, just depends on where you go, what area, just like any place else. So I said, okay, awesome. The day finally came, May 16th, happened to be mine and my wife's wedding anniversary, and it was the worst day of my life by far. So we drove up from Key Largo, off here, made that drive. It's not far, but because of traffic and all that, and the roads and bridges, it takes a while. We finally get closer and closer and closer to the apartments that we would drop her off at. Remember, around the corner, and my wife is not really an emotional person. And as far as crying, you know, but I look to my right and saw her in the passenger seat and she was losing it And I was thinking up to that point. It was just me. I am that dad I am like the father the bride dad okay, I I am that guy that worries about everything and I I find things to worry about when it comes to my kids and And and so I was thinking it was just me But then when I see my wife She's beginning to worry and then we pull up at the apartment complex In the area that we would drop them off I texted my pastors and I said, please pray for us believe it or not, especially leanne. She's losing it And my pastor's wife said facetime me so we can see where you're at So we did and we're thinking we're going to get a message of hope from our pastor's wife We're thinking she's all we've been down there we've pastored that that's just miami, you know, it's okay. It's not Her words next is what? Did not put us to rest We facetime her and she said oh god

I'm so sorry Like go ahead and plan the funeral, you know So we drop her off and I actually looked to leanne and I said if you want her in this car I'll put her in this car and we'll drive her back to texas and She said richie. We can't do that. She wants to do this and so we did and but i'm telling you the next Weeks and months however long she was down there. There wasn't a night that I didn't lay in bed in dallas, texas Thinking about where is she at because she's scared of nothing. I mean she's four foot nothing She's scared of she is like, you know, I wish she was a little more intimidated by people, you know But she's just not scared of much. So so and she's a faith warrior. Uh, she loves the lord She's a preaching machine and i'm like man, I you know, what is she doing right now, you know, and the thoughts in my mind Begin to take me places that never happened But in my mind they did I feel my greatest enemy in life is not my spouse is not my boss. It's not that thing or that person My greatest enemy is my inner me You know i've pastored in dallas now 21 years and i've worried about a lot of things over the years But I can honestly say that 99.99 if not 100 of the things I worried about never happened I just spent a lot of time worrying And letting my mind Go to places it shouldn't go You know according to The cleveland clinic research in cleveland, ohio. The brain is a three pound universe That processes approximately 70 000 thoughts per day Using a hundred billion neurons that connect to more than 500 trillion points Through synopsis that travel 300 miles per hour and of those 70 000 thoughts per day 80 are negative. I think that's a low number 95 are repetitive So so why why does this matter because our thoughts affect how we feel Our thoughts affect our heart rate Heart rate muscle tension blood pressure

and every good or bad thought produces a word or action And words and actions create habits Hear me now and habits is what affects your destiny So if I want to change the course of my life I must change what I do every day my habits And those habits are only going to change if I change what i'm saying And what i'm thinking In our reading peter stands up And preaches on the day of pentecost in acts 3 And he says this word repent now we think when we hear that word repent we think come down to the altar boohoo and cry and it does mean to You know to get to to repent giving your life to jesus and and ask forgiveness and all that But the word he chooses to use here comes from the greek word not to neo Not to neo Which means to change your mind And he He said, once you noteneo, then your seasons will change. So I wanna talk to you for the next few minutes on the thought changing my season by changing my mind. You know, some of us don't need our mountains to move, we just need our mind and our mouth to move. Some of us, it's not the thing that happens to me, it's the thing that's happening in me. Come on, can I get an amen on this Sunday morning? Hey, this is something that's had to go through me. I've just been on family vacation for a week, as I said earlier, and the very first day, I found out some news about a leader back home and I had to worry about it all week.

And I'm like, Richie, you need to review your notes that you're preaching Sunday. So we all have the tendency to let our minds go in places that heaven wants us to stay free from, but hell wants us to change residence to. So the question is, if I can change my season by changing, I'm not talking about mind over matter. I'm not talking about just thinking positive thoughts. I'm thinking about thinking what this word Philippians 4, whatsoever things are lovely, just, good report, any virtue, any praise, think on those things. That's what I'm talking about, not mind over matter, but mind over, over lust, fear, worry. I'm gonna lose my job, I'm gonna die at 40 of breast cancer like mama did. I'm gonna lose my job, the boss has called me in. Are you hearing what I'm saying? And so if we're not careful, we'll begin to buy into those lies, and so the question is, how do I change my mind? How do I change the way I think? Well, I can tell you this first, it doesn't come natural. You have to be very intentional. You can change your season by changing your mind, but you're gonna have to be intentional. You have to train your brain to reign in Jesus' name. You have to train it, you have to teach it. No, I will not think like that just because daddy did. I will not think like that just because grandmama did. I will not think the way that culture thinks about church.

I will not think the way the secular humanist thinks about God. I will not think that way. I will train my brain to reign in Jesus' name. So how do you do that? Very quickly, four very simple but simply profound points. Number one, audit my thoughts. Y'all know what an audit is, right? How many business owners just cringed when I said that word audit? An audit is a deep dive into details. An audit is thinking about what I'm thinking about. Are my thoughts full of fear or faith? Are my thoughts positive or negative? Healthy or toxic? Peace or chaos? Joy or sadness? Are my thoughts full of forgiveness or bitterness every time that name is mentioned? And here's the deal, when I chose to forgive, I set the prisoner free only to find that prisoner's me. Nobody's losing sleep over you not for forgiving them. Come on, don't shoot the messenger. If I hold something against somebody, ain't nobody. Oral Roberts, I don't know if you know who that is, but Oral Roberts, a pretty big name in the church world in the 1900s. And he told a friend of mine that he was actually attending his church his last years in life and he said, Phil, I just want to know

who you preaching to? He said, what do you mean? He said, I know some people have left you and you've had some critics, but you got thousands of people that are still at your church that love you. Why don't you preach to those people? See, nobody's losing sleep over me not forgiving. But it's killing me because I'm that prisoner. So what are my thoughts like? As I'm auditing, as I'm thinking about or do I have thoughts of confidence? Knowing who I am in Jesus or insecurity? Do I fall for the trap of comparison? It's called comparison. for a reason. Either way, you're going to mess up if you compare yourself to somebody else. If I compare myself to somebody that's farther along than me, that's doing more than me, then I'm just going to get discouraged and want to quit. But if I compare myself to somebody behind me and maybe seemingly below me, then I'm going to get puffed up with pride and pride comes before the fall. So either way, I can't compare. So what are my thoughts like? Are my thoughts full of mercy and grace for someone? Or are my thoughts full of judgment? And I hope God gets them. You see, we want people to judge us by our intentions while we judge others by their actions. We want to excuse in ourselves what we accuse in others. But the reality is, you can only think one way. How does my mind work when somebody does me wrong? Does my mind immediately? Am I full of mercy? I don't know what they're going through. You got to cut them a break. Let's just forgive them the way Jesus forgave. Or, man, I sure hope they pay for what they did. Audit your thoughts. Number two, I'm gonna go quickly. Arrest our thoughts. So after we audit our thinking, we have to arrest our thinking. The apostle Paul said it best in 2 Corinthians 10, taking captive every thought and causing it to obey Christ. We arrest our thoughts. Come on, turn to somebody and say, lock it up. Lock it up. Now look to your second option and say, lock it up. And then give them a breath mint and say, lock it up. But we have to arrest our thoughts.

We can't just audit our thoughts and let it go and let it grow. We have to arrest our thoughts. Stop them right there in the tracks. We got to take them one by one and replace them. What? Not with positive thinking. We have to replace them with God's, with God's word. I'm sick. I'm gonna die. You got to replace that with 1 Peter 2. By his stripes, I was healed. I shall live and not die. God, you said that with long life, you'll satisfy me and show me my salvation. You have to know God's word. You have to, you have to know that, that, that, that he's for you and not against you and, and, and you can do all things and no weapon formed against you can prosper. You have to know that stuff. You have to know that stuff. You got to fill yourself with God's word. Colossians says, let this mind be in you, which was in Christ Jesus. That word let comes from a Greek word that means to self empty, to self empty. Sometimes you have to lose your mind to change your mind. Come and look at your spouse. So you qualify already, honey, you qualify. You have to lose your mind. Sometimes you have to lose your old way of thinking sometimes because nothing changes until I think it does. I'm broke. I lost my job. Probably not going to make it. You have to know Philippians four, my God shall supply all my needs. I don't know what your God will do, but I know my God will supply all my needs. I'm not saying, I'm not saying he's a slot machine. I'm not saying you won't go through things. And I'm not saying all I'm saying is for me, he's got to be your God. He's got to be your God. My God, my God is Jehovah Jireh, my provider. My God is not El Chippo. He's El Shaddai. Come on somebody more than enough. You got to know that if God is for you, who can be against you got to know Ephesians three exceedingly and abundantly above all you can ask or think according to the power that works in you. What do you do? You got to audit your thoughts, but then you have to, you have to arrest your thoughts. You, you have to know Malachi three, bring the, when I bring the tithe into the storehouse, not into Jerry's house, Jerry's kids and all the other nonprofits and all that out there, which are great, but the tithe, the whole tithe, I don't divide my tithe. I give my whole tithe, which is not 10%, by the way, it's the first 10%. It matters because God's not up there scratching his head saying, OMG, what am I going to do? I got to repay the streets of gold and say, he's not what he's doing. He's not there trying to figure it out. Our, the tithe is not about him. It's about you. The tithe is about you putting your trust in your God and trust in the Lord with all of my heart and lean not into my own understanding and all by ways, acknowledge him and he will direct my path. So what, what, what do I do

whenever I don't know how I'm going to make it Lord? I'm a tither. And you said, if I would bring. to tithe into the storehouse, and by the way he does not say you'll get rich when you do it. He didn't say I'll open the heavens. That is the most misquoted, one of the misquoted, I'll open the heavens over your life. No, he said I'll open you, the window of heaven. It's a big difference. We're the windows of heaven. If God's going to bless somebody, he's going to use you to do it. And when I do that, then he said test me in this and see if I won't do what I said I'm going to do, and I'll rebuke the devourer for your sake. So you have to know that stuff. You don't have to be a scholar. You can cheat. You can Google. What does the Bible say about this? Cheat. Get you a cheat sheet, put it in your Bible, so when you're going through things, because how many of you know when you're going through things you don't feel spiritual? I mean, I can be the most discouraged person. I lean in trying to encourage me, and I'll say, don't preach to me. Anybody like that? You don't feel spiritual when you're going through it. So what you have to do is make up your mind before you go through it, that I'm going to grow through it. And if I won't listen, don't just go through it, but grow through it. Because if I'll grow through what I go through, it'll always produce a breakthrough. But I have to not just go through it. You don't get anything for going through it. You get something when you grow through it. It's good preaching. Thank you. Thank you. When you think about my enemies, my enemies are coming against me. What am I going to do? Well, the Bible says that no weapon formed against me will prosper. The Bible says the gates of hell won't prevent. The Bible says they'll come in one way, but have to flee seven. God, I know you're for me. Greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world. You have to know that stuff. You know, David, whenever he killed Goliath, you know, he knocked him down with the stone. But then he went over there and stood over him. He took his sword. You remember this? He took his sword and he cut off the head of the enemy. That head had been had been spewing insults, intimidation, running his mouth at David, talking down to him, fear, insecurity. Who are you coming against me with? So what he had, what he had to do, he had to cut his head. How did he do it? He took the sword and he did it. The apostle Paul said in Ephesians six that the word of God is the sword of the spirit. The way that you can destroy and literally suffocate the enemy's voice in your life

is when you take not your word of good thoughts. I got to keep saying that because I preached this a while back. You talk about just mind. I'm not talking about just good thinking. I'm talking about start thinking what this book says. Set your mind on things above, not on things on this earth. And when I choose to change my mind, my season changes. So I rest my thoughts. I audit my thoughts. Come on, say amen, somebody. Then I, then I anoint my thoughts. Number three, I anoint my thoughts. Psalm 23, David said, you anoint my head with oil. Don't miss this now. He said anoint my head because that's where the ears were. And in that day, and even to this day now in Israel, shepherds will anoint the head of the sheep. Why would they do that? Because in certain poisonous insects are drawn, check me out on this, are drawn to sheep's ears. And they'll get in through the ears, the ear canal, and they'll get in the mind and the sheep will literally lose its mind and go crazy all because that fly, that insect is running. So he said, I'm not going to go out like that. You anoint my head with oil and my cup overflows. Watch this now. Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days. What happened? Now I've got my head anointed and surely goodness and mercy is going to follow me all the days of my life and I'll dwell in the house of the Lord forever. But it all starts with an anointed mind. Is your head anointed? Come on, I know Jesus is in your heart. Hopefully, if not, we can take care of that today. But is he in your mind? You can go to heaven a lunatic. You can go to heaven with a messed up mind, worrying about everything, going to heaven. Man, he wants you to enjoy this earth, this place. And he said, it starts, watch this now, it starts, he said, uh, uh, he messed up his mind. He messed up his mind, he messed up his mind. makes me lie down in green pastures. He anoints my head with oil. Write this down. The anointing will always follow when you make a decision to stay. Stay in that marriage. Stay at that job. Stay at that church.

Whatever it is that your enemy or enemy is trying to draw you away from, if you make a decision to stay even though the classes are hard, you hate the professor. But you stay. He makes me lie down in green pastures. If you lie down, he knows how to green it up. And then he anoints my head with oil. And then everything else, a domino effect, now goodness and mercy is following me all the days of my life. And I'm dwelling in the presence of the Lord. All because he anointed my head. In Psalm 133, the prophet Aaron was anointed with the oil. Remember the story? They anointed his head. Your Bible says it flowed down through his beard down the rest of his body, down to his feet. Because if you get your head right and you get your anointing flowing in your mind, the whole rest of your body changes. Everything about your life changes. It's like the man that set out to change the world one time. And he came back after a few months of trying to change the world. And he said, ain't no way I'm going to change this world. He said, I'm just going to change my country. He ran for office. He came back a few months later and said, ain't no way I'm going to change this country. This country's already too far gone. I ain't changing this country. I think I'm just going to change my city and my community.

He went out and he tried to run for mayor. Tried to do all kind of community service. And he came back after a few months and he said, I ain't changing this community. It's too far gone. He said, I tell you what, I think I'm just going to change. I think I'm going to change my family. Took him a few weeks to come back. He said, yeah, I ain't changing this family. This family's already torn up from the floor up. It ain't happening. So he said, I think I'm just going to change my wife. Came back after a few seconds. He realized, I ain't changing my wife either. So he turned around and he looked at the only one he could change in the mirror. And he set out to change himself. A few weeks go by and all of a sudden his wife changes. His family changes. The community changes. The country that was hopeless has changed, glory to God. The world that was lost in no way, it changed. Well, we know none of those things actually changed. But his perspective changed. I found the way that I think about you will determine who you are in my life. If I will honor you, if I will show you mercy, honor and mercy will come back. If I dishonor and I'm quick to judge, that also will come back. So how am I going to change my season by changing my mind? I'm going to audit my thoughts. I'm going to arrest my thoughts. I'm going to take them captive through God's word. I'm going to let the shepherd anoint my thoughts.

And number four, I'm going to act quickly. Because in Genesis 1, Satan is a snake. One translation said he's a mere worm. The prophetic word is man's heel will crush his head. But Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, all the way down to Matthew, to Mark, to Luke, to John, he's getting bigger and he's getting bigger. How do I know that? Because you go to the end of the book, now no longer is he a serpent, a snake, a worm. Now we're in Revelation and we find him as a dragon. Because if you let it go, you let it grow. And what you feed will grow. And what you starve will die. I'm here, all the way from Dallas, Texas, I'm about to get on a flight, but I just passed by to tell you, your life can change. Your season that you're in can change today, if you think it can. Because if you think you can, or if you think you can't, or if you think he can, or if you think he can't, you're right. Because as a man or woman thinks, so are they. Will you stand on your feet with me all over the building, please, nobody moving around, nobody leaving. True story, in 1665, a plague broke out in London that we know in history as the Great Plague. It took 75,000 lives. Approximately a year later, after the plague had run its course, a fire broke out that lasted for almost a week. It was known as the Great Fire of London. Once they put out the fire, they noticed something interesting. They noticed a bunch of dead rats. True story. But they also noticed the plague had ended.

They later would discover the cause of the plague was Yersinia pestis bacterium, carried by fleas from those rats. Ladies and gentlemen, the source of toxic thinking is not mama, is not daddy, is not your mother-in-law, not your brother-in-law, not your pawpaw, it's not even culture, it's not even media or social media. The source, the thing behind the thing is that rat, your enemy, Satan, the devil, the boogeyman, whatever you want to call him. But you've seen the effects of his work, but we're going to lock him up today. Somebody came in with a doctor's report, and it's bigger than you, but not bigger than the God in you. So if you came in maybe with a financial dilemma, you don't know how you're going to make it, it's impossible. It's not him possible. I believe that as we were in worship, I believe there's somebody that's facing a court case and it looks hopeless. Your worry and your anxiety and your fear is not going to change the verdict. You know, talking to a prison today, I think some of the freest people that I have seen are behind bars. I've done my share of prison ministry, I know what I'm talking about. Some of the most bound up people that I have met are elders, are leaders in the church, myself at times, going my whole life wondering why God's not changing something. He said nothing will change until your thinking does. He has sent me by today to tell you things can change in your life, your season can change the minute you determine that I'm going to start thinking about what I think about. I'm going to arrest my thoughts, I'm not just going to let them go, let them grow. I'm going to let the shepherd anoint my thoughts and I'm going to do it quickly. Then I'll be done. I want us to worship and I want us to I want us to pray for people that Believe that God can give us a new mind But I thought about Joseph

Genesis 37 he had this great dream. Remember the story he was kidnapped He was sold the Bible says to a caravan of Ishmaelites His brothers took his robe took his coat dipped it in goat's blood And Then brought it and presented it to the daddy Jacob and Said not a word read it. They never said a word Jacob perceived in his mind a Wild beast surely has destroyed my son And he went in the morning When he should have went hunting Because most theologians Accommodators will tell you that a caravan of Ishmaelites would have been thousands of people not counting livestock And that was later that evening when they brought him the robe There's no way that caravan of Ishmaelites most scholars will tell you There's no way that it could have been more than half a mile in radius Had he not had his head down Going in the morning had he not believed in the false evidence appearing real Fear Had he not bought into that lie from the enemy What was the what's the point it was bad, I mean he was sold into slavery it was bad, but it wasn't that bad And can I tell you respectfully no matter how bad you ever think it is It's never as bad as you think it is Because Satan is not a creator He's an exaggerator And I don't say that heartless Pastor you don't know and you're right. I don't know what you're going through, but I know if you're here this morning. There's still hope You're still hanging on somewhere

God hasn't forgotten about you. He brought a crazy preacher from Dallas, Texas to tell you it's never as bad as you think it is Come on if I'm talking to you lift those hands all over this room because I know I am I know I am I see the Tears I see your eyes. I see your faces come on even on the online right now Just lift your hands where you're at right now How do I get my mind to change and I'm done? Yeah, you don't you preachers always have three closings don't don't ever don't ever pay attention to my first closing That's just the music comes. That's just to give you hope But When I fly out from Dallas Fort Worth, there's big buildings, there's the Great Wolf Lodge, Embassy Suites The other big hotel I forgot there's buildings everywhere and They're massive They really are They're massive But the higher I go in that plane They're still massive But they start beginning to look so small I know your problems are big So the bigger the problem the bigger the praise should be Because he said this He said Oh magnify the Lord with me Watch this now. How do you magnify God? God's as big as he's ever gonna get. I agree How do you make him bigger? Let us exalt Worship his name don't miss this together So your problem might be big But you can make God bigger or smaller You can make God bigger or smaller in your mind Now he'll never get any bigger or smaller than he already is he's God

But the way you think about him is everything Do you think he loves you? Do you think he forgives you? Do you think you're the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus? I don't care what club you were at last night Well pastor, I mean that's a hypocrite if they come to church. No, how many love Jesus right? Raise your hand. Raise your hand you love Jesus. Keep it up. Keep it up. Keep it up. Get a crowd shot. Come on Keep it up. Keep it up Then wouldn't you say you're really a hypocrite when you're clubbing this week? Not at church You're in your rightful spot right now You're in a place where miracles can happen right now You're in a place where signs and wonders can follow you right now Come on lift those hands to heaven all over this room If you want an anointed mind get out of your seat and come down here right now as fast as you can Come on, if you raise your hand earlier, and let's just begin to worship God. I thank you for an anointed mind I thank you that you are changing our mind and changing our season our seasons will change Our marriage will be restored. Our children will come home I'll live and I won't die. I will declare the works of the Lord I will prosper My mind shall be anointed You anoint my head with oil You anoint my head with oil Thank you Holy Spirit Thank you Holy Spirit You have not given us a spirit of fear no fear no worry No shame No regret

Do not worry Do not worry, but in everything Be anxious for nothing But in prayer and supplication with thanksgiving Present my request to God and the peace of God That passes all understanding Will guard my heart and my mind in Christ Jesus That's the word I thank you that you're giving us a new mindset Our reset starts with a mindset A new mindset in Jesus name A new mind in Jesus name You anoint my head with oil And my cup overflows Thank you for the anointing Anoint our minds Anoint our thoughts Thank you Jesus Thank you Jesus I believe it You said it It is done You said it I believe it You said it It is done You said it I believe it You said it

It is done Move the immovable Break the unbreakable God we believe God we believe From the impossible We'll see a miracle God we believe God we believe Thank you You know I always I'm such a hypocrite. I'm just being honest I'll have to train my brain to rain before I even get on that plane Well you know, he don't like you much and we heard they might be leaving the church and pastor we saw him talking to a few other people in the parking lot as they were leaving. You just got it, you got a form. I don't mean this ugly, I mean this isn't your pastors, they're sweeter than what I'm about to say, but I just got a form. I don't give a rip what you think incorporation. I got to know I'm doing it for him and not them. I'm just being honest. I love people, I serve people, I love people unconditionally. I don't worship anybody but him. So I'm just being real, I know this is a lot easier to preach and say amen to, but if you'll get a hold of what I'm saying, I preached this at a church a few weeks ago and I got probably one of the greatest responses I've ever gotten, just people left and right messaging me on socials and stuff and not because it's my word, it's his word. I'm just saying if you'll make this not just another Sunday. Well I've always thought like that, that's the problem. Well daddy thought like that, he was wrong. Come on, he may have been a great dad, but the way he taught you to think about people that weren't your color might not

be the best way of thinking. Or the church, all the preacher wants is your money. I tell our people, I don't want just your money, I want you to serve too. They're full of hypocrites. I'm like no, we always got one more seat for you, we're not full. Are you hearing what I'm saying? Why do we think the way we do about church, about preachers? I got a preacher at my church today that's a multimillionaire, he was before he started ministry. Okay, he's got in the business, he's a dear friend. I'm gonna tell you what, he's the most generous to me of any place I go. He's a generous person. Last time he was at my church, people were like oh, thought he was like Jesus Junior. Until they saw what him and his wife were driving when they were leaving, people started cutting on him. I'm like, do you want a personal trainer that's fat and overweight and out of shape? Do you want a marriage counselor that's been married ten times? Right? So you want people to inspire you. I don't care what my brain surgeon drives, I just want him to fix me. Oh, I can't get a real witness. We had good church until I said all this. I'm just saying, why do we think like that? Why do we think like that? Why don't we come in and say, I don't know if I like the music. I don't know if I like the song list today. Well, it wasn't picked out for you. We're not singing to you. We're singing to him. I'm not getting on to you. I'm sure everything's great. It looks like it's packed out today. So I'm sure everything's, I'm just saying things in your life, if you'll start taking note of what I'm preaching, things in your life like, wow, he's right. It's not even lunchtime and I've already thought 300 negative thoughts. I mean, seriously, start putting them in your notepad and your phone every time. Every time you have a negative thought, write it down. You'll be surprised and then replace that thought with God's word. I'm telling you by the end of September, your season can change. 30 days of that and your season can change. I'm going to pass this off to your pastor, but I was in Israel a few years ago and I saw firsthand while they call the place that Jesus was crucified. They call it Mount Calvary, right? But Golgotha in Aramaic means place of the skull. And you pull up and you literally say, yep, that's it. Cause you can see, you ever been there? You ever been there? You can see a silhouette of a head. If I'm lying, I'm dying. I ain't playing. You Google this. You can see on the side of the mountain where you.
