But before we get into today's topic, we received 14 letters this week. Our work team and the board of directors, 14 young people were here a few weeks ago, two weeks ago, they came back from the Philippines and their lives were marked and changed. And they wanted us to have consistency, first because we were part of that initiative and we were able to facilitate the fact that 14 of these young people could go to the Philippines with their expenses paid and experience what only God can do in their hearts. And some of them said, thank you, thank you because more than their generosity, they opened the windows of heaven to experience God's love and grace. We went to give, but more than give, we were able to receive. Another young man said something that only happens on a mission trip was what happened to me living it every day.

We saw material poverty, but we saw relational wealth. We saw poverty at a level of such depth that we could never imagine what it meant to lack material things, to live in abuse. One of the boys shared that the father of one of these kids hit him with cables every day, he had his whole back marked physically, but he said, but the joy that he brought to the meeting and the conversation touched my life and marked me forever. And so we were able to speak, they said, we went to give, but it was more what we received. Another of the boys also said, we were able to add value and share with them the love of Jesus Christ, and we saw how God filled their hearts, filled their faces, and brought transformation. One of them said, I was able to declare about their lives what someone declared about mine at some point, that I had value, that I was loved, and that God saw me. So I wanted to share this with you. We shared it with our board last Wednesday and say thank you. We said we had two weeks of introduction. The first week of introduction was about the call, and we talked about how God invites us to be part of a bigger plan than who He is, to a plan so and so masterful that we could never imagine, but He makes us that invitation and calls us.

That was week one, the call, the invitation. The second week of introduction, we talked about the God who sees us, and we found a woman named Agar in the middle of the desert, marginalized, rejected, abused, practically destitute, and there she finds God, or rather, God finds her, and she says, my life has changed today because God sees me. But we also talked last week about looting, and we found out about looting, something very different from what Agar discovered, and it was that he could stop hiding and be fully known and fully loved. Today's topic is meaning. Say meaning. Significado. It's a word that's very fashionable in Western culture. It's very fashionable in the heart of the human being, and it's a fundamental question

if who I am makes a difference, and if who I am and ceases to exist tomorrow. Alguien se acordaría de mí, pero hay una diferencia significativa y grande y basta entre vivir una vida llena y ocupada, marcada por el oficio y el ajetreo, y tener una vida significativa. De hecho, tú puedes vivir una vida llena de trabajo, de reuniones, de actividad, de correr detrás de los hijos, de los nietos, y del jefe, y de cualquiera otro, y todavía aún así preguntarte. Todo esto está produciendo algo que realmente importa. Todo lo que hago, hay algo detrás de eso que marca la diferencia. De hecho, la mayoría de nosotros no estamos luchando por mantenernos ocupados. Esa es una pregunta fundamental en el ser humano. Y durante estas últimas dos semanas hemos hablado acerca de dos partes de axios. Dijimos la primera parte, ser valorados por Dios, y la segunda parte de axio es añadir valor a otros. Ser valorados por Dios es una parte, y la segunda es añadir valor a otros. Pero hoy quiero preguntarte, ¿por qué necesitamos las dos y no podemos vivir con una de esas dos alas del avión? ¿Qué ocurre cuando intentamos vivir desde una sola? Y ahí es donde comenzamos a entender, al responder esa pregunta, lo que verdaderamente es el significado. Como creyentes y seguidores de Cristo, ¿qué es significado? Porque cuando separamos las dos partes de axios, algo se quiebra, algo se rompe. Por un lado, tú puedes construir toda una vida alrededor de la necesidad de sentirte valorado. Escucha esto bien, necesitas aprobación de alguien, de tu pareja, de alguien en el trabajo, o de quien trabajas en el ministerio. Necesitas reconocimiento, necesitas que alguien constantemente note lo que hiciste, que alguien se dé cuenta de lo bueno que tú haces y que te digan que eres importante. Y el problema con vivir así es que nunca uno recibe suficiente, porque cuando alguien te dice lo bueno que hiciste, se siente bien, sí o no, pero te lo dicen hoy y ya mañana necesitamos que nos lleguen el tanque de nuevo, que nos llenen el tanque. Y si te lo dijeron hoy, te lo dijeron mañana, el tercer día no te lo dijeron, te preguntas, ¿y por qué nadie me dijo nada

hoy? Porque nadie me dijo lo bueno y maravilloso que yo soy, lo grandioso que colaboro, porque cuando alguien te dice que buen trabajo se siente bien, pero cuando ya se lo olvido ya te sientes mal. Esa es la desventaja de vivir así, cuando el corazón está buscando constantemente una confirmación, una afirmación externa de su valor, nunca termina de descansar, ni descansa la gente que está a su alrededor. Ya te la dejo ahí para que se asiente. Ahora hay otra forma de vivir que en la superficie parece diferente, pero sin embargo termina en el mismo lugar de agotamiento. La primera trae agotamiento, la segunda se mira diferente, pero también trae agotamiento, porque tú puedes dedicar tu vida entera a añadir valor, a servir a los demás, ayudar a los demás y todavía estar intentando descubrir tu propio valor a través de lo que haces. ¿Usted ve la diferencia? ¿Usted ve cómo se relacionan la una con la otra? Y esa es más difícil de detectar porque a todo el mundo le encanta la gente así, porque desde afuera se mira bien, porque eres responsable, porque eres servicial, porque te gusta ayudar, porque siempre responde, la gente puede contar contigo, la gente confía en ti y depende de ti. Cuando algo se rompe a ti es que te llaman, cuando alguien tiene una necesidad a ti es que te dejan saber y todo eso es noble y hermoso. La conducta es una cosa, la motivación interna del corazón es otra, la razón por la que hago lo que hago es la que te puede llevar al desgaste, porque si debajo de todas esas buenas acciones lo que existe es la idea que quizás nunca has expresado o articulado pero esta serie te va a ayudar a traer and the Holy Spirit will work in the heart. If under the underlying reason is, I serve to show my value. I serve to show that I'm worth it. Why? Because if I stop being useful, maybe I stop being valuable. If I stop being useful, I'll keep being valuable. And this is the problem. When that is the question of our underlying, to our service, something begins to happen. Serving acquires a second function. Serving is no longer just about helping that other person.

Now it also has to return and support you emotionally. Are you with me so far? In other words, I need my service to be noticed. I need the person to change. I need them to thank me. And when that doesn't happen, I get frustrated. I get discouraged, I isolate myself, I separate myself, I get exhausted and tired because I was giving a lot, but secretly I was also waiting to receive something from what I was giving. I was giving, but it was because deep down I needed to receive. Let me put it this way. I wasn't serving only out of love. I was also serving from an audition. What I do, I do it to perform. I'm constantly auditioning for someone to thank me, for someone to tell me how valuable I am. I'm trying to show that I'm still necessary, that I'm still important. And eventually that falls apart, falls apart and wears you out as a person. Listen to this. No amount of service, no matter how much you do and serve, can answer the question of identity. It will never answer the question of who I am

and how much value I have. Are you with me so far? Our guide for this week in topic one of meaning expresses it in an incredible way. I was reading it, I was reviewing it and I had to steal that little piece. He said, if you only focus on feeling valued, you will always need more. But if you only focus on adding value, eventually you can be left empty. And then life starts to feel like something that you have to sustain, something that you have to carry instead of something that you have the privilege to live. The question today at work is, has your life become something that you constantly have to sustain? You feel that you have to sustain your family, your marriage, your reputation, the expectations that others have of you and you feel that if you let one of those things fall, everything will go down. However, that is not the meaning. When Jesus speaks of meaning, that is not the meaning that he offers us. Because axios, which means value, which means weight in Greek, is never, nor was it, a sign that you matter. Never, never.

Axios is learning to live from something that God has already established. To live from something that God has already established. There is an incredible scene in John chapter 13 that shows us exactly how that is seen in the life of Jesus. And that is the second point that I want to share because it is when security becomes service. It is when security becomes service. Jesus is sitting at the table with his disciples. He gets up, takes a towel, takes a bowl, pours water and starts washing the disciples' feet. That is part of this conversation. But John, in his Gospel, he does something very, very interesting. And it is, before telling us what Jesus did, he tells us what Jesus knew. Listen to this well. Before telling us what Jesus did, John tells us what Jesus knew. In verse 3 and 4, he says, Jesus knew, say it, Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his dominion and that he had come out of God and that he would return. So he got up from the table, took off his cloak, tied a towel around his waist and describes what he did next, washing his disciples' feet. that you observe the order of this conversation that Juan is presenting us.

He says, Jesus knew who he was, where he came from, he knew where he had come from, and he knew where he was going, and he knew that the Father had placed him in his hands. He knew where he was coming from, he knew who he was, where he had come from, what he had come to, and where he was going to return to. His identity was not at stake. His identity was not at stake. His relationship with the Father was not at stake. Listen to this well. His destiny and his authority were not at stake. That's why Juan says, so what? Because he knew who he was. He says, well, like this, well, in a way, like this, so soft, like this. He got up, took the towel, and started washing his feet. For Jesus, the service was not in contradiction with his authority. He says, practically the opposite of this passage. He knew who he was,

and because he knew who he was, he was not worried or bothered to serve neither Peter, who was going to deny him, nor, in a few hours, nor Judas, who was going to betray him, because he knew that his performance was not tied to the performance of others. His results were not tied to the performance of others, but his identity and his security came from Christ. That's why he could occupy the lowest place in that room. His service did not have to return to pay him anything. He was safe. And here is one of the most important truths of this week. Only a safe person can give freely, without the need for the given to return and be converted into approval. And that's like taking a picture and repeating it until you learn it. John himself, who recorded the Gospel later, in 1 John, much later that day, he says, nosotros amamos porque él nos amó primero. You are here with me. He first, I later. Repeat that with me. He first, and I later. He first, and I later. Somos amados, entonces yo puedo amar. Recibimos gracia, entonces yo puedo extender gracia. Cristo nos sirve a nosotros primero, entonces yo puedo servir a los demás, entonces yo puedo tomar la toalla. No para demostrar quienes somos,

sino porque ya sabemos a quien pertenecemos. Y esto no es solamente una idea espiritual bonita, es algo profundamente humano y profundamente práctico. Las ciencias sociales y los investigadores han estudiado lo que sucede cuando una persona tiene lo que ellos llaman seguridad relacional. Escuchad esto bien. El concepto de seguridad relacional. Hicieron unos experimentos en lo que a un grupo de participantes, a unos participantes, se les hacía recordar por unos minutos una relación que ellos habían tenido en la cual se habían sentido seguros, amados, cuidados o consolados. Piensen, le decían a este grupo, piensen en una relación en la que usted se sintió amado, cuidado y consolado. Y al otro grupo no se le decía nada. Y luego se les daba la oportunidad de ayudar a otra persona.

¿Tú sabes lo que encontraron? Que los participantes que habían sido llevados a recordar esa seguridad, ese sentimiento de seguridad, mostraban una disposición significativamente mayor para ayudar a los demás. Escuchad esto. Aunque el estudio no estaba relacionado con el amor de Dios, nos muestran lo siguiente. Cuando una persona deja de utilizar su energía para defenderse a sí misma, queda libre para ver al otro. La inseguridad vuelve nuestros ojos hacia adentro. ¿Cómo me veo? ¿Cómo me miro? ¿Qué está pasando? ¿Cómo me están mirando? ¿Cómo me están examinando? ¿Por qué me miro así? ¿Por qué me dijo eso? ¿Por qué no me lo dijo? ¿Estoy bien? ¿Qué piensan de mí? ¿Me estarán valorando? ¿Cómo le caeré a la gente aquí? Pero la seguridad nos permite levantar la mirada mucho más allá. Entonces, piensa en esto. Si recordar por unos minutos a alguien que nos ha amado y nos ha hecho sentir amados, puede afectar la forma en como una persona trata a otra persona. Imagina lo que puede ocurrir cuando tú empiezas a vivir profundamente convencido del amor de Dios por ti, del amor de Cristo por ti, del sacrificio de Cristo por ti. Imagínate lo que ese puede hacer por tu identidad cuando tu identidad no está establecida en el dolor ni la experiencia humana, sino tu identidad está establecida en Cristo, establecida en su amor. Y eso no ocurre de un día para otro. No hay una fórmula mágica, sino que repetir su amor por ti a través de su palabra, de vivir en comunidad y dejar que el Espíritu Santo

comience a cambiar el chip del dolor, de la experiencia y del rechazo por una nueva criatura en Cristo con nuevos propósitos y con una renovación de su mente. ¿Está conmigo hasta aquí? Entonces no hay fórmula mágica. Y esto es, ya no necesita la persona cuando vive desde el amor de Dios llegar a su trabajo, llegar a la iglesia, llevar a su casa preguntándose que tengo que hacer aquí para demostrarle a esta gente que soy importante. Ya no llega preguntándose eso, sino llega preguntándose que puedo cultivar aquí, que puedo cultivar aquí. ¿Se ve la diferencia? Una vida significativa no intenta controlar, aprende a cultivar. Y yo quiero compartir una de mis imágenes favoritas del contenido de esta semana, y es la enorme diferencia que existe entre un mecánico y un jardinero. Un mecánico trabaja con algo que necesita ser arreglado, reparado, ¿sí? Porque está quebrado, de otra manera usted no lo tiene que llevar al mecánico. Él abre el motor, encuentra la pieza defectuosa, ordena otra pieza, saca la pieza defectuosa, pone la nueva pieza, cierra el motor, y lo reemplazó, lo prende y dice, OK, ya esto está funcionando. Cuando usted va le dice, ah, este era el problema. Pero aquí estaba la solución y ya está todo arreglado. Mil quinientos dólares, nada más. Como poco. Hay bastante control en el proceso, ¿verdad? Hay bastante control. Y a veces, sin darnos cuenta, tratamos a las personas de la misma manera en que un mecánico trata a un motor. Y te explico por qué. Especialmente a las personas que más amamos. Frases como, ¿cuántas veces no te he dicho? ¿Sí o no? ¿Cuántas veces te voy a decir? O como me han dicho a mí, no te voy a decir que te lo dije. No dije quién era. Entonces, pensamos, si tenemos esta conversación, o decimos, quizás que se lo tengo que explicar mejor. Si se lo explico mejor en inglés y en español, o quizás lo que tengo es que aplicar un poco más de presión, o si logro organizar todas las circunstancias. De hecho, yo sé que yo puedo hacer que esa persona cambie. Yo sé que yo puedo.

Pero las personas no son motores. Y los que tienen hijos lo saben. Y los que tienen pareja lo saben. Y los que han tenido también. Ni nosotros somos mecánicos del alma, ni las personas son motores. ¿Sí o no? La Biblia, de hecho, utiliza la imagen de un jardín. La imagen de cultivar para ayudarnos. Desde las primeras páginas de la Escritura en Génesis 2, capítulo 15, y yo he predicado esto en tiempo reciente. Dios el Señor tomó al hombre y lo puso en el jardín. Jardín del Edén, ¿para qué? Lo cultivara y lo cuidara. Y sabes que esto sucede antes de la caída, antes del pecado, antes de los cardos y las espinas, antes de que el trabajo se volviera frustrante, lo cual significa que el cultivar es parte del diseño original de Dios. Parte del diseño original. Dios creó al ser humano con la capacidad de entrar a la vida. a lugar y hacer algo bueno con lo que él ya había puesto allí, escucha eso bien, pues la primera asignación es cultiva y cuida y esa asignación no ha cambiado, el efecto del pecado si modifica algunas áreas y modifica los resultados pero la asignación no ha cambiado, él no dijo en ningún momento arregla y controla y un jardinero sabe o descubre algo que un mecánico no necesita saber para seguir siendo buen mecánico, el jardinero no fabrica vida y el jardinero lo sabe, el jardinero que hace, puede preparar la tierra, puede sembrar, puede crear las condiciones, puede regar, puede proteger lo que es vulnerable, puede quitar algo que está ahogando a esa planta, en otras palabras puede crear las condiciones pero no puede abrir una semilla con las manos y ordenarla y decirle ahora crece, ¿verdad que no? sería ridículo que un jardinero piense eso, la vida contiene un misterio que el jardinero no controla y Jesús utiliza exactamente esa imagen en Marcos capítulo 4 y él dice que el agricultor siembra la semilla y luego noche y día duerma o esté despierto la semilla brota y crece ¿cómo? sin que se sepa cómo, me encanta esa frase sin que él sepa cómo, si un mecánico no sabe cómo funciona el motor que debe reparar tiene un problema ¿si o no? pero si un jardinero no sabe

You can love, you can listen, you can advise, you can model through your life, you can pray, you can correct. I'll continue the list. You can do all of that, but you cannot produce transformation in the heart of your son or in the heart of your daughter. The only one who can produce that transformation is God. And if you're not clear on that, if you're not clear on that, you're going to get frustrated because you think you're not seeing the result, that your work is in vain. It's liberating within marriage too. Because you can listen, you can ask for forgiveness, you can repent, you can change your part, you can love the depths of your heart, but you cannot control the heart of the other person. Only God can transform that heart. And when we go with the wrong expectations, we get tired, we get frustrated, we get exhausted, and the tendency is to want to control that other human being and control rejects and expels. And that's important. It's important. You can apply it in all areas of your life. Because when we think we're responsible for growth, the contribution quickly becomes in control. It becomes in control. And when the person doesn't change to the speed that you and I want, we just get desperate.

And sometimes we say, after everything I did. None of us has said that phrase, right? After everything I gave. After everything I sacrificed. For that beep, beep, beep. Right? Have you ever said that in your life? No, right? None. Look, there are no raised hands here in this auditorium. Only for those who are online and in prison, when not a single hand was raised here by these people. That phrase, what it can reveal is that instead of our investment being generous and disproportionate, what it reveals is that we were giving to wait for something in return. But the gardener, the gardener understands that some seeds grow quickly, but there are others that take a long, long time. And there are some that are growing downwards and no one sees the result. No one sees the growth upwards, but the roots are developing and being deeper and bringing transformation. Maybe you think that nothing happens to this person. Nothing happens. But the gardeners know that some of the most important works happen where we still can't see them. And this frees you from doing your part without trying to occupy God's place in that other person's life. This is meaning.

We all want to live a life of meaning, but this is meaning. It is knowing how to say, not everything depends on me. God allowed me to participate in something that He is doing and that I still can't see or understand. This is meaning. Now, I want to go back to the light. Say light. In the first week, we talked about Matthew chapter 5. In fact, in the card that you are going to use if you haven't registered for a group, in that card, if you look at it from the other side, there is the fundamental and central quote of this whole series. Matthew chapter 5, and there you have from verse 14, not from 13, but from 14 to 16. We already discussed it in the first week. I'm not going to talk about it again, but I want to direct your attention to a phrase that Jesus said. You are the light of the world. Who said they were the light of the world? Us. You are the light of the world. And this is important, because the light changes the environment in which it enters. A room can be completely dark and you move the switch from the bottom up, turn on a light,

and the environment changes. You can see what you couldn't before. What was confusing before is now clear. The light allows you to see what you couldn't before. It allows you to find the way. It allows you to discern. It allows you to distinguish. In fact, in the natural world, the light also... He creates the conditions for things to grow, for something to grow. And this makes Jesus' metaphor even deeper, more powerful than we think. Because Jesus is not just saying, I want people to know that you are a Christian. No, that's not being the light of the world. He is saying, when my life is expressed through you, the environment where you enter is transformed. The environment where you enter is different because you arrived. Not because you are the protagonist, but because you bring light. He's with me. If you come from, and sometimes this question, I tell people, you are light, and they say, I don't know where I am light. If I tell them my life, that has been disaster and problem after disaster. But listen to this well, if you lived in a depression and you have overcome it,

or you are in the process of overcoming it, you are light for someone who is in depression right now. If you are addicted to something and God has set you free, you are light in that place and in that space because you go several steps further than those who are struggling with that. If you have experienced the death of a loved one, you are light in that space for someone who has just lost a loved one. Because your empathy, your pain, connects you to that person's heart and you can be light in that space. Your worst moments taken in the hands of Christ and redeemed by Him become the light which Christ tells you, you should not hide it. My light is not placed under a table, but it is placed where others can see it. The world and culture tell you, hide it, shame. Divorce, shame. Depression, shame. Overweight, shame. Everything is shame. Keep it isolated and hidden so that no one finds out because if they find out who you really are, they will reject you and take you out of this church, from this community and possibly from work. Jesus says, the one who is a true believer becomes the light of the world. And what is the light? He is the light.

But what is your light? What you have overcome in Christ Jesus. What used to bring you shame and feelings of inferiority and feelings of rejection. He says, raise your torch high because that is your light. You would say the way for those who have not come that far. That is meaning. When He says, you are the light of the world, it is not, are you a Christian? No, I am, well, more or less. The closet, but I don't know. That is not any light. To say, I am not a Christian either. And to cry four times a day at work and be rebellious with everyone and that everyone gives you the right or the left because they say, there comes the fanatic. That is not light. Light is that when you get to a place, the place is transformed because the light of Christ came and the authority of Christ, the hope, the power of resurrection. That is the light He is talking about. But if I am all like this, crammed and with fear and with shame that is why He already set me free, transformed me, gave me a new name, but I still hide it.

That is when He says to you, Jealous, you are the light. As long as you carry your sins that have been forgiven and for which I restored you. That divorce is now the light. They fired you from work once, with reason or without reason, now you are the light. Why? Because I have not only been able to survive and overcome, now I am victorious in that space. Are you with me so far? You are the light in that area. And that brings me to one more question in search of meaning. What becomes possible in other people because you were there? Not how much attention I received, but what became possible because you were there? When you got home, what did people think in your house? What light became possible in your house when you arrived? Did everyone run out like that because they don't want to see you? Or did everyone run out to greet you because you, even if you are tired, exhausted,

you bring the hope of Christ, the strength of Christ, the peace of Christ, the face of Christ. Why am I tired, exhausted in the natural but in the supernatural is that He sustains me. What becomes possible? When you spoke to this person who was discouraged, did hope become more possible? What happened to this person who made a mistake? horror, your answer made possible the restoration. When a new person arrived, what made it possible for them to feel welcome, loved, and that they belonged? This is the thing, you don't need to do something gigantic to live a life significantly. It doesn't have to be gigantic, in fact, it's around a table, in a car, in a hallway, in an office, in a kitchen, or in a phone call, when you can make a difference in someone else's life. It's when someone, after having been with you, comes out with a little more hope than the one who came to the conversation, always. That's why Matthew 5, verse 16 says, Make your light shine before everyone, so that those who can see your good works can praise the Father. Always your good works, always your light

should lead you to praise the Father. Wow, how did you do it? His fidelity, His mercy, His strength, His direction, His healing hand, His Holy Spirit in me. That is the light that we can make shine. That is a life with meaning. The goal of the light is not to receive attention. You don't turn on the light to say, wow, no. The goal of the light is to produce illumination. And Jesus is telling us, you are the light of the world. We are not trying to become impressive people. We want to become people who illuminate. Who illuminate. And maybe, I think I'm going to finish this, maybe we can summarize this whole week this way. When I'm not sure of my value, I enter into the environment asking, what is here for me? How can you help me? How can you serve me? What do I have to do here to show people that I'm worth it? That they know who I am, even though no one knows me. When our identity and our value is not sure, not even in Christ. When my value is sure in Christ, I can enter asking, what is God cultivating here? And how can I participate? Do you see the significant difference that leads you to live a life of significance?

Your job is no longer the place where you earn a check. And it becomes the place where God allows you to sow. Your house is no longer simply the place where you go to rest at night. And it becomes the place where you help another person to flourish. The church becomes a community. The community where God allows you to contribute to the lives of others. It's the place where you come to receive. Of course you come to receive. But it's the place where, what is God cultivating? What is God cultivating? What is God cultivating? In this place. So, I want us to go back to that room, the high room in John 13. Jesus knew who he was and what he did. He took the towel. He didn't start serving. Think about this. If someone had the right to demand to be served, it was Christ. If someone could say, this is under me, I'm about to go to the cross. You wouldn't have said that to the disciples who were sitting there eating. I have to go to the cross tomorrow,

and you are sitting there, and besides that I'm going tomorrow, you want me to wash your feet? Don't you think you should wash my feet? But Jesus, precisely, because his identity was completely secure, he didn't have to show any position. He could kneel, wash his feet, even the feet that still didn't know who he was. Because they denied him, they betrayed him. Yes or no? You don't need the person you are serving to behave correctly to confirm your worth. You don't need the result to be perfect for your contribution to be worth it. Maybe someone within my voice, God is pointing out something profound today. Maybe you feel like you've been doing good things, but you're tired. You've been doing good things, but you think it didn't work. It was a failure, according to you. But maybe the problem is not just how much you are doing. Maybe the problem is that you are using what you are doing to answer the question of identity, importance, worth. And the Lord is telling you today, stop demonstrating.

Ahora tú no vas a estar sentado ni sentada aquí, vas a estar en casa, en tu trabajo, frente a tus hijos, frente a compañeros, con un vecino, quizá frente a una persona que no está cambiando tan pronto como tú quisieras y vas a necesitar recordar lo que aprendimos hoy. Yo no soy el salvador, yo soy el jardinero, yo no soy responsable por producir fruto en esa persona, pero sí voy a cultivar, sí voy a sembrar, sí voy a regar y sí voy a crear condiciones y más que nada yo puedo traer luz, eso sí lo puedo hacer, yo puedo traer luz. Yo encontré esta oración hace años en un retiro que estaba con Nahid y me pareció muy apropiada para la conversación de hoy, pero no solamente para la conversación de hoy porque es una oración que yo la he hecho muchas veces, es una liturgia realmente que prepara el corazón, ordena tu corazón en el orden correcto antes de servir, entonces le hemos llamado una oración antes de servir a otro para vivir una vida con significado y yo quiero que juntos pongamos todos de pie y juntos vamos a hacer esta oración como una declaración y quiero que te la lleves contigo y ojalá hubiesen regalado lupas también para algunos de nosotros porque está buenísima la oración, pero necesita un brazo más largo, pero bueno usted amplía, tomale una foto y la amplía, eso hago yo con el menú verdad, cuando voy a un restaurante está muy oscuro. Pero yo quiero que tú hagas esta oración como una preparación, liturgia significa

preparar tu corazón para la adoración y dejar que Dios cultive en ti lo que Él quiere cultivar así que hoy te voy a invitar allí donde estás que la hagas esta oración conmigo de forma corporativa y luego durante la semana ponla en práctica durante toda la semana, así que al conteo de tres vamos a empezar con Oh Cristo, uno, dos y tres, Oh Cristo tú que hiciste siervo de todo, hoy pongo mi corazón y mis afectos en ti y solamente en ti, porque sólo puedo servir bien a otros cuando mi servicio desde el principio hasta el final es una expresión de amor y devoción hacia ti, al servirte a ti soy libre de necesitar el reconocimiento de los demás, aunque mis actos de bondad pasen desapercibidos, aunque mi sacrificio no sea reconocido, aunque aquello que haga parezca pequeño o invisible, mi gozo no depende de que alguien lo vea tú lo ves, tú recibes cada acto de amor, tú recuerdas cada sacrificio y aquello que hago por otros puedo ofrecértelo a ti primero, por eso Señor a sincero mi amor y valiente mi servicio, quiero servir siguiendo tu ejemplo porque tú entregaste tu vida por mí, quiero servir recordando que tu espíritu ya está obrando en la vida de las personas que encuentro, tú estás llamando, tú estás atrayendo, tú estás hablando, tú estás ablandando corazones endurecidos por el temor, la decepción, el enojo, las heridas y todo aquello que intenta ocupar tu lugar, por eso no necesito arreglar a nadie, no necesito controlar el resultado, no necesito producir lo que solamente tú puedes hacer, permite que mis palabras, mi atención, mi generosidad, mi paciencia and my little acts of love fall like warm rays of light on cold ground. I do not know the end of the story of another person. Many times our lives only cross for a moment. So teach me to be happy with sowing without always seeing the harvest, with watering without knowing when the fruit will arrive, to conserve even when there may not be immediate results.
