Y solo me puedo imaginar como el Señor puede obrar en este lugar cuando entregamos nuestra adoración a Él y hacemos a un lado cualquier preocupación. Como Él se manifiesta en medio de nuestra alabanza. Quizás hay alguien que tenga que escuchar esto. Que si has perdido el descanso o el enemigo ha tratado de inundar tu mente con preocupación, tengo buenas noticias para ti. Aquí está la presencia del Señor y en su nombre hay poder, en su nombre hay paz. Si has estado batallando con enfermedad, tengo buenas noticias para ti también. En su nombre hay sanidad. Si has estado batallando con mucha carga y necesitas liberación, tengo buenas noticias para ti también. En su nombre hay libertad. Y aquí está la presencia del Señor. Nos hemos reunido en el nombre de Cristo y clamamos el nombre de Jesús en este lugar. Así que en este momento quisiera que, como tú sientas, poner tu mano en tu mente o en tu corazón, si quieres orar por el que está a tu lado, si estás con tu familia, pero vamos a clamar el nombre de Cristo sobre nuestras vidas y sobre este lugar. ¿Están de acuerdo? Así que Señor, en el nombre de Jesús, Señor, sabemos que estamos en tu presencia, que Tú estás aquí en medio de nosotros, Señor. Clamamos, Señor, que en Tu nombre hay poder, que el enemigo no tiene ninguna autoridad contra los hijos de Dios. Declaramos, Señor, que saldremos de este lugar completamente transformados. Que no saldremos igual como entramos, Señor. Que Tú estás obrando en nuestras vidas, Señor. Sabemos, Señor, que Tú eres el que abres las puertas al que está necesitado. Sabemos que Tú suples cualquier necesidad, Señor, y lo recibimos en el nombre de Jesús. Sabemos que en Tu nombre hay sanidad y lo recibimos en el nombre de Jesús. Oramos por cualquier familiar que ha estado clamando, por un hijo, una hija, o cualquier otro familiar que no ha llegado a Tus pies. Clamamos el nombre de Jesús sobre ellos también, Señor. Good afternoon, North Place family, and welcome to the first week of the introduction of Axios. During the last six months, I would say seven months, we have been developing content, praying for that content, living it and processing it as a work team, and I come with great expectations of what God is going to do in each of our hearts during the next few weeks. Pastor Oscar said a moment ago, to get the most out of the next few weeks, commit to coming to watch on Sunday. Sometimes we come on Sunday, sometimes not, but I would tell you to commit, it's two weeks of introduction and then six weeks that the series lasts and you're going to get great, great profit. Just by preparing the content, I see what God is already doing in my heart, in Nair's heart, in our house, and what the leaders have done among us. And really, if we create space for God, God makes space for us and brings transformation. So I invite you to come on Sunday. Second, get a guide, get a guide, because that's what's going to help you grow and deepen your Sunday content. Really, the first two weeks are done individually, which you can develop in your own time

and deepen in the content that we're going to be talking about. And after the first two weeks, come the groups, and that would be the third thing you should do. Many times we listen to the topic and talk there, that is, we talk in groups. Here we don't have the opportunity to talk in the same way, but it's in the groups where we can see what God wants to do in my life, in my marriage, in my habits, what changes God wants to generate to reach and connect me to the purpose that He has for me. So those are the three ways to connect in this new season, in which we are launching AXIOS, the new series, but more than a series, it's going to be something that transforms the heart. In fact, next weekend, maybe you're thinking, how do I connect to a group? Next weekend, we're going to have what we call a group connection. In the lobby, in the vestibule area, we're going to have the representatives of the different groups so that you can get information about what day, where, where they meet,

and there's a group for you. There's a group for you. And if you find, after having reviewed everything, that there's no group for you, create your own group. In fact, they're going to put the information on the screen where you can get additional resources. Maybe your group is in front of you in your workplace. The group is in your house, with family, with friends. We've made all the resources available, from the videos, as part of the introduction to the conversation, the guides are available, and we've prepared you so that you can facilitate a group in your house, with your family, or with your friends. One of my greatest satisfactions in life is seeing people grow spiritually. And it's moments like this that prove that this is not a new idea. When a church comes together, young people, children, adults, young adults, on Sundays, in groups, to talk about a single topic, there's transformation. When you look at the church in the New Testament, in the Book of Acts,

the church would get together once a week, but during the week they would get together, from house to house, they would pray, they would talk about the Word, they would learn together, and they would serve together. So this is not a new invention, it's really a biblical principle that we're offering, with a beginning and an end. So, behind this series there's a deeply human question, and a question that we all ask ourselves at some point in life. And the question we ask ourselves is, does it matter? Does it matter? Does my life count for something? If someone saw me, if I stopped existing and breathing tomorrow, would someone realize, in this house, in this church, in this office, that I'm not here anymore? Does my presence make a difference? Does my life have any meaning? And maybe, for some of you, the question may seem too basic,

but when life changes, you realize, when you lose your job, when someone who needed you no longer needs you, Or until you retire or you get to a stage where you no longer have the same influence you had before And then the question appears, if I can no longer do what I did before, do I still matter? Or maybe you've been working for years in a place where no one seems to notice your effort You do more than what corresponds, you solve problems, you arrive early, you leave late No one says thank you, you are tired and exhausted If that's you, this series is for you Or maybe your children have already grown up and now you are trying to discover What is your place in their world and in your world Or maybe you are at the other end where you have small children And between work, school, practices, responsibilities and bills And you are so busy attending to everyone's needs That you don't even know what your own needs are If that's you, this series is also for you Or maybe you moved out of town and you just arrived Or to this country and you left family, friends and a network of relationships That took you years to build Or maybe in your country or in the previous church you were known You had a reputation, you had a career in the country where you came from You had a community, a position And here you started from scratch Here maybe no one knows your achievements, nor your story, nor your title, nor your career, nor your experience And they haven't opened the doors as you expected Maybe you feel that because of your accent, or your language, or your story You have to show that sometimes you have something to contribute And you have silently asked yourself, does what is inside of me still count?

Does it still matter? If that's you, this series is for you Maybe you are living with a chronic disease or chronic pain And you feel that the world is still moving forward And that your life had to slow down Or you are taking care of someone, a husband, a father, a wife, an aging father Or maybe you are looking at someone that you love, moving away from you Every day more, and you would give anything to bring them back If that's you, this series is also for you Or maybe externally everything looks good And in your social media photos, in your work, in your house, in your family, beautiful photos But internally there is a disconnection that you don't know how to explain You are not in crisis You are just asking yourself, this is everything This is what it is all about The question can take many forms, but the pain is always the same Does it matter? If I stop existing tomorrow Would someone realize or value what I have done, what I do, and the effort I have put in? George Bernard Shaw said, the worst sin against our fellow human beings is not to hate them But to be indifferent to them That is the essence of inhumanity Because there is something devastating in being treated as if we didn't matter You can live with a lot of people, work with a lot of people, or attend a big church Not necessarily being hated, simply being ignored Not being seen Feeling that you are not known Feeling that you are not necessary And sometimes feeling that you are not included And that is precisely where AXIOS begins

What does AXIOS mean? I am not going to give you the Greek class completely But I want you to understand why we chose that word It appears more than 40 times in the New Testament It is a word in Greek Not only does it appear repeatedly, but it communicates the idea that something has value That something is worthy That something has weight That something counts And hence the idea in Greek of what is a balance That you have weight That you have value That you are up to something And that is why for us, AXIOS is the search for meaning and the discovery of value. It's discovering that our life has value and has weight in front of God. And it has meaning and value in relation to others. So during this week, we're going to summarize it in this way, being valued by God and adding value to others. Being valued by God and realizing that I have value, that I have value, and here the two things are important because if we only talk about our own value, the Gospel ends up revolving around us. But if we only talk about giving value to others and to others, we end up trying to produce value to show that we deserve something. The Gospel puts things in the right order. First, God tells us, you are valued.

You have great value. First, you receive grace. And then you add value as a product of having received that grace and you give and you offer and you live from that grace. First, God calls you His. And then He calls you to live in a way that is consistent with that calling. First, God tells you, you are valuable and then He invites you. That's why I told the Ephesians in chapter 4, I beg you to live a life worthy of the calling that you have received from God because in truth, you have been called. That is Axios. You have value. God has called you. God has called you. God has reached you by grace. Paul now tells you in Ephesians, live a life that corresponds to that value that has been given to you, assigned to you, given to you and given to you. Christianity begins with an invitation. Say invitation. I want you to join me in Matthew chapter 4, verses 18 to 20. I want you to follow me in your Bible because there is an incredible passage about how Christian life begins.

And here we see that Jesus is beginning His public ministry. And notice how He begins His public ministry and how He begins to form, to develop people who would eventually change the world. He does not begin by giving them a manual or instructions or rules or religious classes or theological basis. He begins with an invitation. Verse 18 says that while He was walking by the lake of Galilee, Jesus saw two brothers. One was Simon, named Peter, and the other, Andrew. And they were casting the net to the lake because they were fishermen. Come, follow me, said Jesus, and I will make you fishermen of men. At the moment, says the story, Matthew tells us that they left the nets and followed Him. I want us to see something important here. Christian life begins with an invitation. The first thing Jesus said to them was, Come. But the invitation quickly became a call when He said, Follow me. Come, follow me. And the call contains a promise

and the promise for them was, I will make you. I will make you. I will transform you. And there is everything, in essence, the invitation, the call, and the promise. What did Jesus tell them? Come. The same thing He tells you, He tells me, and He tells all His disciples. He says, Come, follow me, and I will make you. Come, follow me, and I will make you. And that is the basis of Christian life and it is the basis of this conversation. In fact, one of the guiding threads of all the writing of Genesis to the Apocalypse is that God invites common human beings to participate in His story. In His story. So the first thing we see is, God invites us. Think about it. He invites Abraham to leave his land, his family, and his relatives. He invites Moses to return to Egypt. He invites Mary. He receives an invitation from Mary that changed His life forever. In fact, Jesus looks at these ordinary, common, and wild fishermen and says to them, Follow me.

Follow me. And the Bible, to tell you about the beginning, In Apocalypse 22, how does the spirit and the bride end? They say, come. From Genesis to Apocalypse, we hear over and over again the calling of God, where He says, come. But this is important. God doesn't invite us because He needs us. God was God before you and I appeared. God could and can fulfill His purposes, but He invites us because He values us. Listen to this well. He invites us, there is dignity in an invitation. A tool is used, a machine is operated, but a person is invited. The invitation recognizes that you have a will. The invitation recognizes that you have dignity. The invitation recognizes that you are a human being and recognizes that there is a relationship. Every time God says, come, He says it just before saying something about what you expect to do. He is saying something about what you mean to Him without having done anything. His invitation declares your value. In fact, it declares our value before establishing our assignment. Before He asks you to do anything, and it's very important to understand this, because many of us have learned to relate

our value to our performance. Many of us have learned to determine our value for our utility. I'm worth it because I produce. I'm worth it because I help. I'm worth it because I'm a mom. I'm worth it because I'm a dad. I'm worth it because I'm a supplier. I'm worth it because I have skills and I'm irreplaceable at work. But what happens when we live a life like this, that will come and always comes a season where you can no longer produce the same? And your identity collapses. The Gospel, however, tells you something else. You're not worth it because you're useful. Listen to this carefully. You're worth it because you're useful. I'll leave it there for you to sit down. You're not worth it because of what you produce and do. And this is very contrary to what the culture says. It's a chip that needs to be changed. The Gospel tells you that you're worth it because of who you are and because you're worth it to Him. Before Peter preached, before he founded the church in Jerusalem, before he performed miracles, before he led the church, before he became the famous apostle Peter,

Jesus invited him and said, Come! And before God tells you what He wants to do through you, He wants you and I to understand what He has already done for us, what He has already done for you. Because eventually the invitation becomes a call. The invitation becomes a call. Jesus didn't just say, Come. What did He say next? Follow me. He calls you. It's a call. And here comes the word vocation. And before we thought that vocation or we thought that vocation had to do with our career, with our work. But the word vocation comes from the Latin vocare and it has a much deeper story. Before it meant what it means today, which is to win in life, it meant a voice that calls you. A voice that calls you. Your vocation doesn't come from here. Your vocation comes from there. For you to have vocation, vocare, means someone calls me. The believer is called. Every follower of Jesus.

For every follower of Jesus. The most important question is what I want to do with my life. The most important question is who is calling me and what is calling me. This is very important because we all respond to someone's call. To God's call. To the call of culture. To the call of a person. To the call of work. To the call of what overwhelms me or what stops me or what I think or what I put my hope in. There is always someone calling. There is always a voice. There is an invitation and there is a purpose. In Christianity, Christianity doesn't begin with us inventing the meaning of our life. It begins, however, with God calling us dentro del propósito de él. ¿Se ve la diferencia? Él es quien llama. Dejaron enseguida las redes y lo siguieron. Toda invitación requiere de una respuesta. Tú puedes recibir una invitación a una boda, una invitación bellísima, con tu nombre escrito a la perfección en caligrafía, una invitación en un papel impresionante y puedes ponerla en la refra y tomarle una foto

y hasta decir qué bueno que pensaron en mí, se siente uno bien, que te invitaron. Pero la invitación no es nada sin una respuesta. Y para muchos de ustedes, así fue su historia con Jesús. Jesús te invitó y hubo un primer sí en una reunión como esta, en un campamento, en un carro donde ibas manejando. Hubo un primer sí donde Jesús te invitó a seguirlo y tú le dijiste que sí, quizás fue en un altar. Alguien compartió el evangelio contigo y tú respondiste, sí Jesús. Sí, te entrego mi vida. Sí, quiero seguirte. Sí, quiero ser tu discípulo. Ese es lo que llamamos hoy en esta conversación, el sí original. Pero aquí está algo que quiero que llevemos con nosotros y carguemos, sostengamos durante las próximas semanas. El llamado no terminó el día en que diste tu primer sí. El llamado de Jesús en tu vida no terminó el día en que diste tu primer sí. La invitación todavía está vigente. El mismo Jesús que te dijo sígueme hace 20 años, 15 años, 10 años,

en el 1998, el 2005 o el 2020. El sí original inicia la relación con Cristo, con Dios. Pero el sí diario forma al discípulo. El sí diario es lo que te desarrolla y te mantiene en tu propósito. Mira lo que dice Lucas 9, 23. Entonces dijo a la multitud, si alguno de ustedes quiere ser mi seguidor, mi discípulo, mi seguidor, tiene que abandonar su propia manera de vivir. Esto es tan contracultural. Tomar su cruz una vez y nada más. ¿Qué dice ahí? Cada día. Tomar su cruz cada día. Seguirme significa decirle que sí a Él en todas aquellas áreas y todos aquellos espacios en los que todavía no le he entregado mi todo, en las que todavía no le he rendido, pero a veces trabajamos y funcionamos desde el sí original y pensamos, ya yo te dije que sí. El miércoles cuando estás cansado y agotado, otro sí. El jueves cuando nadie te está viendo y ni te está mirando, otro sí. Sí, Señor, todavía te sigo. Sí, Señor, todavía te quiero seguir. Sí, Señor, todavía te amo. Sí, Señor, todavía tú eres primero en mi vida. Sí, Señor, todavía confío en ti. Sí, Señor, mi esperanza está en ti. The transformation happens walking with Him. But the invitation always comes before the transformation. Sometimes we want the transformation before the invitation. Peter didn't look like Peter when Jesus called him. In fact, he was called Simon. Matthew was a tax collector, hated by the people. Thomas had more questions than answers. But Jesus could still see in them what they couldn't see in themselves. He sees in you what you still can't see in you. He not only sees who you are, God sees who you can become walking with Him every day of your life and saying yes every day. The invitation contains a promise, and what is it? I will make you. When you think you have failed, when you think you are ignored and forgotten,

remember the promise of Jesus. I will make you. Why? Because the invitation takes us out of a small story. That's my story. It's my movie. Are you with me? It's my story. It's how I think my life should be. And life doesn't go the way I thought it would. And He takes me out of that small movie of my story and puts me in His story. He says, now you are part of my story. You are part of my family. You are part of my purpose. I have called you. I have redeemed you. I have transformed you. I have given you a new name. And you are a new creature with new purposes. And my mind says, I want to go this way. Because here is success. Here is what I came to do in this country. And He says, yes, but no. Your story is very small. My story is much more magnificent and great. But you have to tell me yes. The question you have to ask yourself, do you know what it is? Who is writing my story? Ask yourself that.

Who is writing my story? My fears, my worries, envy, arrogance, greed, the desire to achieve so many and more things, the fear of the diagnosis, the economy, the politics, the president or the changes. Who is writing your story? Our culture constantly pushes us and writes our story. What is the history of culture? Get more. Work more. Make more effort. Protect your comfort. Do what you have to do to be happy. Yes or no? This is the thing. Someone is writing your story. Who you have to identify is, who is it? Or Him, or the culture, or the fears, or my worries. Jesus always appears and tells them, I have a better story. I have a better story for you. When Abraham left his land, when Moses went to leave the desert,

when Peter left his nets, everyone had to leave something known to enter something that they still did not fully understand. Are you with me here? The call always leads us to let go of control. It leads us from control to trust in Him. Maybe your net is not fishing. Maybe your net is your reputation. Maybe your net is the desire to control the result. Maybe your net is the need for approval and for others to feel that you are valuable. Maybe your net is resentment or lack of forgiveness. Or maybe your net is the nostalgia of what was, but is not. Maybe your net is the version of your life that you had decided that God had to bless. I must repeat it again. Maybe your net is the version of your life that you had decided that God had to bless. But there comes a time when every disciple listens to it. Come, follow me. And in order to follow Him, you have to let go of something. That leads us to arrive at the place

of being valued, to add value. And this is where, for me, Axios begins to open up even more. He said, come, follow me and I will make you fishermen. The call begins with them, but does not end with them. This is very important. The call begins with them, but does not end with them. Jesus receives them and then transforms them. And then what does he do? He sends them. He sends them to invite others. In fact, all literature, in psychology, in sociology, all literature tells you, to find your purpose, you have to get out of yourself and dedicate yourself to something much bigger and greater than your little story. Are you with me so far? It is the same thing that the word tells us. I take you out of your story and put you in my story. And my story is going to take you to storms that you never thought you were going to live. My story is going to take you to walk on the lake. Can you imagine? When the disciples said yes, they did not know what they were saying, that yes, it led them to experience and see a crucifixion, it led them to live in storms,

it led them to live in miracles. In their story, they would never have been able to experience that. But they said yes. And their life was completely transformed into something great. Jesus transforms them and then sends them. Why? Because being valued by God leads us to become people who add value to others. What happens to a person who knows that he receives dignity? He begins to dignify the other. He no longer walks around with a sore head, that they don't look at me, that they don't talk to me, that no one says to me, no, I have value, I belong, I am the son of the king. Then he says, he walks around open and disconcerted because he doesn't know who his son is, he doesn't know who he belongs to. So, thinking that he was never seen, now he becomes seen. And when you are seen, what happens? You begin to see. We are heard and we begin to hear. We are invited and we begin to invite. Because we belong. That is why the book of Revelation ends by saying, the spirit and who? And the bride says, come. In the beginning of the scripture, Jesus said, come. But now when you are invited and you follow him and he transforms you, now you also say, come.

Come and follow me because I follow him. In the end, we are standing next to him telling the world, come. That is the church. In the church there are no loners, in the church there are no disconnected, in the church there are no disconcerted because wherever we see someone, we say, come. Come, come and come. We are in the process. I am not saying that people are perfect. Why? Because the important thing is to recognize invited people becoming people who invite. People who discovered that they mattered. Becoming people who make others know that they also matter. And that is where AXIOS becomes very, very practical. Because maturity begins when we ask, who else needs to know that today matters? And we are going to unpack this during the next few weeks. Right now I am just giving you the introduction. Who in your house needs to feel visible? Who do you only contact when you need something? Who is the person who enters a room or a place and no one notices? Who is the older person and everyone talks over her? Or who is that young man that everyone criticizes but no one listens to his story?

Who is sitting alone? Who needs an invitation? I told you a while ago, indifference dehumanizes. But the Gospel does the opposite. The Gospel gives back dignity. Jesus saw people who were a nuisance to others and He did not ignore them. He touched those who others avoided. He stopped for those that everyone else considered an interruption. He knew their names and listened to their stories. Today He knows your name and knows your story and wants to know you even more. This is the thing, while Jesus was walking around the world everyone who touched Him, connected with Him regained the feeling that He mattered. He regained the feeling that He was valuable. From the prostitute to the woman in the well to the ordinary fishermen to the tax collectors. I want you to leave here practicing what we are talking about. Recognizing that you have value. And tomorrow, before you see the social media or send that first email, start in the morning saying, God, how can I add value today? God, how can I add value today? And maybe the Holy Spirit puts a name in your heart. Call them. Maybe you see someone serving you coffee, thank them. Say thank you.

Maybe your partner needs you to leave the phone and listen to her. Maybe your husband is carrying a load, or your wife, and you haven't realized it yet. Maybe your son doesn't need any other correction. He needs you to look him in the eye and remind him who he is in Christ Jesus. Maybe someone in your work needs an opportunity. Someone who is disconnected needs an invitation to eat. Or someone needs you to pray for him or her. Small acts. But remember this, how we live our days is how we end up living our lives. What am I saying with this? Every day is a page. And every page becomes a chapter of your life. And every chapter of your life becomes the story of your life. The question is, what story are you writing your yes to? Who are you giving your best yes to? Jesus is still calling. He is calling. I want us to go back to that beach 2,000 years ago where we started today's story. Some fishermen, doing what they had always done, every day of their adult life. It was a normal day. And what they didn't know was that their life was about to change forever. Jesus comes to them and says, Come, follow me, and I will make you a fisherman. They didn't know where they were going to end up. They didn't know that they were going to change the world. They didn't know that their life was going to be so significant. They didn't know that they were going to experience the power of resurrection. They didn't know where their life was going to end up. But they said, yes. They threw their nets.

What they knew and what was certain. And maybe that's where you are today. Did you come to church like everyone else? Or do you come every Sunday? Or maybe you are here today for the first time in a long time. And maybe you have never given your first yes. Your first yes is to Jesus and to say, I follow you. I don't understand everything, but I will follow you. The same thing that those disciples did. There is something about you that attracts me. And I see the potential to leave my story and enter your story. And that you make me who you want me to be. Receive courage, and then give courage to others. Maybe you have known religion. Or maybe you have never been in a church for a long time. But if you have never given your life or given your yes to Jesus. Today Jesus tells you, come, follow me, and I will make you. I will transform you. In a moment I will give you the opportunity to pray with me. And for you to respond to that invitation from Jesus. But I know that also through my voice. There are many people here who gave their first yes a long time ago. And the yes was real. The yes was authentic. But in a given moment you stopped responding daily. You did not leave the church. You simply stopped following Him as you used to. And today the invitation resounds again in your ear. Not because God has gone away. The invitation has never disappeared.

Jesus still tells you, come, follow me. Let me enter your home. Trust in me again. Follow me in this. Surrender to me.
